no beta we die like dick grayson is one of the best tags ever bc its immediately followed by 'BC HE DIED IN FOREVER EVIL FIGHT ME' and 'BC HE ACTUALLY DIED STFU' and 'HE DIED BEFORE SPYRAL' or any of the three and it links back to the tag thats like 'dick grayson's death in forever evil' and that entire tag is filled with people straight up screaming in the tags that dick actually died like lmfao guys we all think the same about this

Bruce would give up the mission if Dick ever died. And not in the angry-grief way of "this is the last straw on the camel's back" aka the way he sorta kicked Dick out, but in the "hasn't set foot in the Cave in over a month because the last time he did he kept hearing Dick's laugh echoing across the stalactites" way. He literally cannot bear to put on the cowl, to be Batman, because Batman has existed longer with Robin than without. Bruce doesn't remember being Batman without Robin (without Dick) anymore. He can recall his first meetings with a few of the Rogues, but beyond that? It's been so long that those first 2-4 years are all just a haze of self destructive grief. Dick flipped his entire life in a 180 to the total opposite direction. He showed him how to hope, to love, to live. If Dick dies as an adult, Bruce would've spent half his life with his first son. No matter what age Dick dies at, Bruce will have always spent more time being Batman with Dick Grayson as a son rather than without him. Dick changed Batman, changed Bruce so irrevocably that Bruce wouldn't ever be able to wear the cowl without remembering him.

There was this tiktok of Dick and a bunch of moments from the comics just like this post but add much more moments and they highlighted how important Dick Grayson is to the DC universe and the way it was made so perfectly executed and the song used (fine line by harry styles - the last minutes of the song that btw is my favorite part) got me emotional and i cried 😭 like wtf i cried to an emotional dick grayson edited wow

Seriously though, the amount of respect and esteem that practically everyone in the DC Universe has (had?) for Dick Grayson is just amazing.

Is Slade a bad guy? Genuinely curious cuz i've seen some little interactiona between him and Dick in the comics and with the Titans but honestly some fanfics make it seem that he doesn't really hate them neither wants to kill Dick so...what's his deal?

I mean, he's a murderer and a rapist. Helped direct an attack that killed 100k+ people. And he's a shitty dad (example: he chose his reputation over the well-being of his son, and because of it, his son's throat was cut, making him mute for the rest of his life).

Sometimes he has a truce of sorts with the Titans. They've worked together in the past. They're usually not on good terms though because, again, Slade is an assassin who's tried to kill them.

The nuance of their relationship comes through in odd moments. For example, Slade and Roy got into a fight, and Slade was going to kill Roy, but as soon as he saw the serious bullet scars on Roy's chest (Roy was shot multiple times in a fight that happened previously), Slade backed off and let Roy live.

Another time, Slade backhanded Dick so hard that Dick collided with a heavy truck. Then when Slade noticed Dick was struggling back to his feet, he asked if Dick needed his help to stand because Dick might have hurt his back. It was a genuine question based on the serious tone and topic of their conversation, and based on how Dick responded by saying, "I'm fine."

So yes, Slade's relationship with the Titans hasn't always been so cut and dry. However, there's a reason he's seen as a villain.
