For the food one I'd recommend looking into some apps. For example apparently: Whisk, AnyList, Mealime, WorkWeekLunch, SuperCook, MyFridgeFood etc some of these create shopping lists for you and plan your meals and some tell you what kind of meals you can make with the food in your fridge etc. I *think* these are better than ChatGPT but if not PLEASE tell me. If it's just the same search engine in a dif font lmk but I think it should be a bit better 😭

First time meal prepping since moving and I have to say it felt nice to be back in the swing of things! Swapped a few things around this week and made Apple Pie Overnight Oats and instead of muffins I’ve been dying to try to make scones! So since I had all the ingredients on hand, I gave it a shot and made some Strawberry scones for breakfast. Also made some bistro boxes for snacks which has Gouda, Brie, pepper jack, pretzel thins and cashews and cranberries. what meals/snacks do u make that are easy and nutritious? im worried that i won't have the energy to eat well when i go back to uni :/
my template for meals is always
protein
chicken (any part, thighs and drumstick r fav)
vegetarian meat minces (good for bolognese!)
sliced turkey or ham for sandwiches
eggs and tofu also work
beans/lentils can tick both this box and the starches box
starch
rice
pasta (pesto pasta salad makes an amazing no-reheat lunch)
potatoes (keep u satiated the longest) 
egg noodles
oats 
veggie 
leafy greens (prioritise these as they r the most nutritionally dense)
brussel sprouts 
broccoli
peas
and my template for snacks is 
some kinda of fat
nut butters
nuts themselves
avocado if its on sale
cheese
hard boiled eggs
hummus or yogurt dip
anything else
seasonal fruit
chocolate
veggie sticks
chips
so i just mix and match to build meals off these (also helpful as a guideline for weekly grocery lists). some of my fav meals are 
pesto pasta salad (pesto + pasta + chicken + broccoli/spinach + cheese all mixed together in a huge batch)
thai curry (u can get a big ol’ tub of thai red/green curry that will last u at least a year for
any kinda sandwich (turkey slices, cheese, chutney or any kinda sauce, some fresh leafy veg)
chili (this is really a clean out ur fridge kind of meal, just a can of tomatoes + can of beans + any other veg or meat u have on hand. its so good and comforting)
btw i definitely recommend checking out @workweeklunch on ig, she has tons of meal prep ideas for anyone who has to pack a lunch on the daily

Reminder: you’re a human, not a robot! . 😤 Do you expect your body to need the same amount of food each day? I used to. Through practicing intuitive eating, I’ve learned that my cravings and how much food I eat every day will vary - and that’s normal. . 😣 I used to feel so guilty or like a total failure if I couldn’t restrict myself to one muffin per day (I LOVE muffins) . 🍰 Now? I just roll with it without judging myself, without guilt and without making myself “work it off later” at the gym. . 🙏🏼 The best way to get rid of cravings is to HONOR them often. Honor them daily. Eat what you crave. If you crave a muffin, don’t eat an apple and expect that craving to go away, you know? . 😨 Is this scary to you? That means you have some more work to do on your relationship with food (also normal) . ❓How are you going to honor your cravings and your bodies’ needs today? . By @workweeklunch

Mile high snack prep ideas! ✈️😋 . I will avoid buying airport food at all costs... why? Because it’s so overpriced!! Do you?! . . . ⠀ ⠀ ✈️Tomorrow I’m getting a flight - my flight is very early so I’m ready with my overnight oats, trail mix in a reusable, popcorn 🍿 and apple 🍏 ..The trip isn’t too long (6 hours including a layover) so I’m taking less snacks than I normally would... but I’m a big snacker so I like to have options! ⠀ 🥜I realise the issue around nuts on a plane - I always ask the people next to me if they have allergies. So far i haven’t run into anyone saying “yes” but obviously I wouldn’t eat the trail mix or overnight oats next to them if they did. ⠀ 😪And I always travel with a water bottle💧because buying water in an airport is so expensive. There’s nothing worse than feeling dehydrated on a flight, and not being able to easily get up and get water (& when you do it’s in a tiny cup. Thank u, next!) ⠀ 🤔Some of you have told me that you’re nervous about getting food through security or usually have it taken away.. maybe I’m lucky or I’m just what I carry but this has never happened to me! The overnight oats will solidify and become less liquidy by the time I bring it through security and the rest of the snacks are dry and shouldn’t be an issue. Of course I will bring my water bottle empty (I’ve been that person chugging water in line at security, it’s no fun). ! ⠀ ❓Got questions about these travel snacks? Let me know! “How long does it last in the fridge?” Is a question I get A LOT - for a good reason, you don’t want to toss food out before it goes bad! I feel you. . 💯The general rule of thumb is 5 days after you cook it, IF you cooked your food properly in the first place AND it’s stored properly in airtight containers in the fridge. . 🥕On the post, you’ll see some of the numbers vary between meals. Can you eat overnight oats after 5 days? Yes. Will it be appetizing and tasty? Not so much. But it won’t hurt you. Same with the other meals: you can totally eat chicken after 5 days, it just won’t be as tasty. . 🥘Meals like chili, soup, curry, stews etc are more forgiving in terms of time in the fridge so if you worry about eating meals “in time” stick to those types of dishes and you’ll be a ok. . 💯I’ve been meal prepping for over 4 years and a lot of this I’ve learned through trial and error. I test ALL my meals to see how they taste and feel after a few days and that’s one of the major benefits of joining the WWL Meal Prep Program: you can trust that the meals will taste good after a few days instead of taking a chance on a random Pinterest meal. . ❓What do you think? I used to have so many food rules that made me feel tired, irritable and constantly guilty for breaking them. 😪 . 🤦🏻‍♀️One of them involved not eating after a certain time (and ignoring hunger). Another involved avoiding anything made with flour, sugar, butter etc. I had so many of them... and for what? . 🤷🏻‍♀️They didn’t make me “healthier” (read: thinner) they just made me stressed out and distracted from what’s REALLY important. . 👀Some people will look at this photo and only see the foods they don’t allow themselves to eat, or foods they deem “unhealthy” and that’s ok. . 👁And some people will see what I see - variety. And that’s what makes me feel my best! . 😍This is pretty much what I eat as an intuitive eater although it changes every day. I always have the option to eat snacks. I almost always eat food after dinner (when I’m hungry!). And every day I eat something home cooked because that’s just my lifestyle (and that’s where meal prep fits in). I eat packaged foods every day too... and feel physically way better than when I tried to avoid them. . Unpopular opinion: “healthy swaps” aren’t always healthy emotionally and mentally. 😬 via @workweeklunch⠀ .⠀ 😐 Zucchini noodles are a vegetable, not pasta. Processed cauliflower isn’t the same as actual rice. Rice cake pizza is so far from regular pizza I don’t even want to call it that- it’s more of a rice cake cheese melt you know?⠀ .⠀ 🤔I think these swaps make sense sometimes, of course- when the swap you’re making HONORS your craving. (Like if you’re actually craving a rice cake pizza or cauliflower rice, obviously that’s a great choice)⠀ .⠀ 🤦🏻‍♀️But I’m tired of diet culture feeding us the idea that these “healthy swaps” taste as good as the “real” thing. It’s just not true! (unless you just dislike the taste and experience of legit pizza or real pasta, I mean.. fine)⠀ .⠀ 🤬The way diet culture demonizes carbs in general really bugs me. We literally need carbs (rice, pasta, bread etc) to survive. Just look at the history of food all over the world: carbs have been an essential source of energy for centuries... and now we have decided they’re bad? No thanks. I’ll take my carbs because I want my brain to function properly.⠀ .⠀ ❓Something to think about: are you honoring your cravings? Are you making food choices based on what you really want or what you think is going to give you the body you want? And do your choices really satisfy you?⠀ .⠀ 🙏🏼Why I care: I can’t stand the thought of people in my community depriving themselves of real pizza and going for this rice cake pizza BS if that’s not what they actually want. Give yourself permission to eat the pizza. You don’t have to EARN it. You don’t have to justify it with exercise.
