the thing about emu is that her life is super fucking wild and absurd shit is always just happening to her but because she’s so used to it and so full of whimsy she never acknowledges it. And so fans never acknowledge it either. Emu canonically has priceless paintings just hanging around in her house (in universe equivalent of fucking monet’s water lilies and van gough’s sunflowers iirc) and her family is Super Mega Owns A Theme Park And Airline rich and she has the ability to climb everywhere. pt II australia but i've never been there

I didn't even have to wait for y'all's responses on part I to make this because Australia is WILDING. As per usual, salutations to Arthur's grandmother's boyfriend Brian.

Everything remaining that I know about Australia:

There was an emu war. There were many emu casualties, and no human ones, but the emus won anyway. Sun Tzu is making way for the emus.

That was the only research I did on the emu wars, but as someone who met a few emus once, they were very lovely to me and very soft to pet. They also were very jabby. One of them looked deeply concerned as they looked at me, I believe they thought I was a deformed emu. I am on the winning side of the war.

During Christmas, Santa does not have a sleigh. He has a surfboard, and he does slay.

There are a lot of animals. Many have no placenta, as I recall from biology. Due to the nature of the continental drift and geographical isolation, Australian marsupials evolved separately from placental mammals, and were not wiped out by invading species. Due to convergent evolution, there are also analogous species between the placental mammals and the marsupials.

What just happened I'm sorry deep science trauma was unearthed. The point is, a lot of animals. A kangaroo is probably in your backyard. A koala just stole your girlfriend. An alligator murdered your classmate. It just happens.

Noah is canonically the youngest of eight sibling. Eight.

You don't grow up in a family that large, as the youngest and therefore the favourite victim, and not have a super casual relationship with touch.

This guy is light enough to be literally blown away by a strong breeze; if you think even for a second that his family didn't take turns carrying him around like a briefcase and abducting him from whatever he was doing into a Family Pile™ then you're objectively wrong.

(You also can't convince me that he wasn't spoiled rotten as the baby of the family.)

So frequent platonic touching is pretty normal for him, expected even, and he tends to be more tactile than his personality or demeanour would suggest.

He gives Owen side-hugs and pats on the arm every time the two interact, and wilfully flops himself onto Eva whenever he's overwhelmed and wants the company of someone comparatively quiet (she always uses it as an excuse to carry him to the gym and encourage him to bulk up, though it never works). He tries to tire out Izzy's boundless energy by play-fighting and grappling with her (much to his chagrin) despite him essentially ending up as her glorified chew toy, and often times passes out due to being a stick insect in human form.

It's unexpected, just how casually clingy he is to the people he trusts/likes.

But you know who isn't used to physical contact?

This wet noodle of a boy bigs himself up as a ladies' man and a hot commodity but wouldn't know what to do with himself if someone held his hand. The concept of affection of any kind is so foreign to him, especially positive physical contact- I wouldn't be surprised if he could count the amount of hugs his parents had given him on one hand.

And this is backed by his canonical desperation for acknowledgement! Every time he pursues Gwen, even when he's directly shot down and sometimes harshly rejected, he still tries to win her affections and festers the delusion that she likes him. After all, everyone who's supposed to care about him does the same! His parents, 'friends' or lack thereof, ect.; they all ignore/rebuff him so it must be a sign of endearment.

Additionally, he sleeps with a stuffed emu at the ripe age of 16/17- as stated by Sierra, which he never denies (not that there's anything wrong with that, stuffed animals are top tier imho). You know who else sleeps with stuffed animals? Touch-starved people.

Cody is incredibly attention-starved, touch-starved and, post World Tour, in all likelihood somewhat touch-averse- at least when it comes to other people initiating contact.

To elaborate; Sierra is constantly breaching his personal bubble non-consensually, which would inadvertently condition anyone into being at least a little haphephobic, but Cody himself is more than happy to instigate contact with people he trusts (i.e. hugging Alejandro when he protects Cody from Sierra overnight in Rapa Phooey!).

...See where I'm going with this?

We see these two cuddling twice in canon; once in the Awake-a-thon and again in the Celebrity Manhunt. Once is happenstance, but twice indicates a pattern or coincidence but I'm going to gloss over that for the sake of this post.

Plus, with their consistent proximity during Action, they had plenty of time to form some type of relationship be it friendly or more.

(Wouldn't you want to at the very least get some closure from the guy who kissed you/you kissed for the world to see? It would be awkward to completely ignore each other, and they literally shared a cabin at one point so it's not like they were strangers either. So of course they're at least cordial from Action onwards.)

Then, as Noah becomes more comfortable around Cody, his tactile tendancies come to play.

Cody, predictably, reacts skittishly at the alien phenomenon known as friendly touch and tries to play it off to preserve his cool-guy image. Except Noah's not falling for it. He's observant, if emotionally illiterate, and watching the guy you just backpatted in greeting jump five feet into the air and screech like a falcon is a flashing red alarm for even the most empathetically challenged people.

Eventually, Noah gets Cody to divulge his issues with human contact and offers his assistance to the brunette. If giving his pal a hug every now and then, and letting him in turn initiate whatever he's comfortable with, would help him overcome his rocky relationship with touch then Noah is more than happy to oblige. It's not like it's out of the norm for him, so he doesn't mind at all.

Then, gradually, Cody loses his touch aversion.

But a lifetime of isolation won't be magically cured that easily, and he finds himself craving Noah's embrace more and more. Again, the taller of the two is content to give him what he wants. Their agreement evolves into the duo napping together and feeding into Noah's sleep-hugging habit, or just spending quality time in a heap of pretzeled limbs under a weighted blanket.

(Whether their relationship is platonic or romantic is entirely up to interpretation, though I'm partial to the two being friends who are just Like That since it allows for the funniest potential character interactions. The bromance is real.)

That's as good a place as any to end the post, before I end up writing a whole drabble.

Ohhh, that is such a cool idea. I honestly never even realized that the white knights or the new Nene set had that symbol, so this connection is news to me, lol. That is really interesting to think about.

So, how about this?

The four all met each other for the first time in their teen years. Rui Kamishiro and Nene Kusanagi had been close friends since childhood, but neither of them had met Tsukasa Tenma or Emu Otori before that fateful day.

The four had just been accepted into a training program, overlooked by the king of the Kingdom of Light, so that they could one day become a part of the Knights Of White, the trusted protectors of the land. It was the first day of training, and they were all so glad to be able to meet other people who wanted to keep their kingdom safe.

Rui, Nene, Emu, and Tsukasa quickly became close friends, and they promised that they would have each other's backs, no matter what happened.

And they did. For the next couple of years, the four of them trained tirelessly together. If any of them were sent on a mission, at least one other member of the friend group went as well. Whenever any of them were injured, the others made sure to patch them up and/or keep them company in the infirmary (with a healthy does of scolding for their reckless behavior).

The group were a package deal- even outside of their knight training (and eventual knight work), if you saw one of them, more often than not, the other three were close behind.

It wasn't until years after they first met that the tragedy struck.

Rui, Nene, Emu, and Tsukasa were on a mission together, the four of them and a couple of fellow knights investigating some activity within a nearby forest. It was supposed to be a simple mission; get in, look around, and get out.

However, the whole group was ambushed, and Rui ended up separated from the other knights. Scared, badly wounded, and hopelessly lost, he began wandering through the rapidly darkening woods, praying to whoever was up above that he could find a way out.

Unfortunately, he just got more lost, and when he settled against a tree to take a quick breather, he was discovered.

He didn't recognize the person, and he didn't trust her at first, but the woman was kind, patching him up the best she could and brought him to the base of whom she referred to as the Imperial Soldiers. Rui fought with her about it, as he'd been told that the leader they worked for was the ruler of another kingdom; the Kingdom of Dark. One that did not think highly of the Kingdom of Light, and who would tear him apart if they found him alone on their kingdom's soil.

But despite his hesitation, the woman insisted that it would be alright, and he reluctantly gave in.

The Imperial Soldiers ended up being much more welcoming and kind than he had expected. They clearly all trusted him as much as he did them (so not a lot), but they tended to his wounds more properly, and offered him a place to rest until he could return.

When he told his story to their head knight, explaining his mission and the ambush and the separation, the man told him something that has left his heart shattered into pieces to this very day.

That he had likely been left behind on purpose.

He protested at first, telling the soldier that his friends would never do something like that, that they wouldn't think of abandoning him, that they cared for him.

He will never forget that moment, after the man had left him to his own devices, so he could rest up and process what he had been told.

The woman who'd found him before grabbed his hand, clasping it in both of her own as she looked up at him. And said to him, with a pained look in her bright pink eyes, that she understood how he felt, and that he would be okay someday, too.

He waited for them to come for him. He waited for a rescue team to arrive, to take him back home to the Kingdom of Light. To see Emu and Nene and Tsukasa again, to hear their voices as they scolded him for not being more careful, and to feel their touches as they held his hands and replaced his bandages. To hold them close, to see that they cared, like he had before.

But they didn't. And by the time his injuries had healed and he could leave, he didn't see the point. He clearly wasn't wanted, so why would he go back to them?

Rui never forgot his old friends- the memories hurt, but the idea of forgetting them hurt even more, and so he continued to wear the Knights of White emblem on his belt. But he knew that he had to put that past behind him, and force on his future as an Imperial Soldier.

Meanwhile, the group of White Knights returned to the castle, informing the king of the ambush, as well as of Rui's disappearance. The king had ordered a larger group of much more experienced knights to look for him, and Emu, Nene, and Tsukasa all waited with bated breath for Rui to be found.

But he never was. For days, the knights searched every inch of those woods, looking in every nook and cranny, and Tsukasa and Emu had taken it upon themselves to look for him on their own, against both the king's and Nene's wishes.

But nothing was ever found, not a trance of Rui was ever uncovered, aside from a few patches of blood that lead only to a tree, and his sword which has been stuck into it's roots.

The forest was discovered to border the edge of the Dark Kingdom, a well known enemy of the Light Kingdom, and the king concluded that Rui had been taken by the Imperial Soldiers, and that nothing more could be done for him at that moment. That his army may not even be strong enough to defeat them, and that it was too high a risk for one measly soldier.

Emu, Nene, and Tsukasa argued with the king, begging and pleading for something more to be done for their friend, but their pleas fell on deaf ears.

They were all distraught, as were Rui's family, and all of the other knights could clearly see the effects his disappearance had on them.

Nene had even considered leaving the Knights of White, as it just didn't feel the same without her childhood friend there, though she decided that she should keep on going, to protect everyone she could in Rui's name. Emu pushes herself even harder, determined not to let Rui's possible death be in vain, and to not let something like this happen on her watch ever again.

And Tsukasa? Tsukasa had never been more angry in his damn life.

Of course, nobody in the Kingdom of Light was too fond of the Kingdom of Dark. Everyone and their grandma has heard story after story of them, of the things they've done, if they haven't experienced it themselves, and Tsukasa is no exception. He knows how dangerous they are, and that challenging them is essentially a death wish, especially all on your own.

But this is the third time that these Imperial Soldiers had taken someone from him. His brother, his sister, and now one of his closest friends? Tsukasa will not let them get away with this any longer. This is personal.

And that's where I'm gonna stop, lol. What happens next? Will Emu and Nene join Tsukasa in his quest for vengeance? What will happen when Rui finally reunites with his old knight friends? Will the four of them ever reconcile? That's for you to decide!

Okay, new AU idea. This is gonna be a long one, so bear with me:

Our setting is a small village. Everyone knows each other and whatnot. They get along and are polite to each other, even if they wouldn't consider each other friends.

In this village, lived two wealthy families. The Asahinas and the Tenmas. However, one day the two senior Tenmas had to leave with their youngest. Her illness had gotten worse and word was that another village, one days away, had some of the best doctors who could help with her condition. Thus, they left, leaving behind their eldest, who decided to stay back in case either of his parents returned to get him or if he got a letter telling him to make the journey on his own.

Now, because of how close this village is, everyone knows Lady Asahina didn't like the Tenmas. She's spent years as the villaged wealthiest until they came along. She smiled politely and spoke courteously with them. She even allowed her only child to learn piano from Lady Tenma. When word got out that they were leaving, she thought they would be gone for good. But no, they had to leave the boy behind. And what does he do? Play piano and read stories? A waste if you ask her. Why bother with things like that when he could further his education? Find a nice young lady to court and marry? If he were more of a proper gentleman she'd push her daughter to marry him. The only reason she allows their friendship is because her husband already approved it in front of others. She'd be ostracized if she banned her daughter from seeing that boy.

Again, because of how close this village is, it's easy to see the animosity Lady Asahina has for the Tenma's. Tsukasa knows she wants nothing more than to get rid of his family. Mafuyu does as well. After all, it wouldn't be the first time she did.

The first were the Otori's, who left after a few years of living in the village, due to Lord Otori finding a bigger village for his family. Mafuyu remembered Emu, the bright and energetic girl, who had left in tears because her mother told her no one would ever love her if she kept acting like the fool she was. Last time she saw her, she was another girl and looking a lot happier. When she spoke with them, she learned the girl was Nene Kusanagi. She was a singer at a local theater and had met Emu a few days after she moved to her village. The two became friends and eventually girlfriends.

Then were the Hinomori's. Who left when their youngest got accepted into a knight training program in a kingdom further away. Shizuku was the first friend Mafuyu made and lost. Once she was gone, her mother told her it was for the best. After all, now with Shizuku gone, she'd have no competition in getting a suitor.

When she visited the Shiraishi Kingdom with her father, she saw Shizuku with a group of girls. All of them laughing and full of smiles. She wasn't going to say anything, thinking just seeing her old friend would be enough. But Shizuku saw her, left her group and pulled her over. There she was introduced to Shizuku's coven of "witches": Airi Momoi, Haruka Kiritani and their newest member, Minori Hanasato. When asked, Haruka explained they were all learning to be healers while also spreading hope to others via music. The "witches" was just for fun, and they had originally considered being "fairies."

The last one's were the Shinonome's. They had left shortly before the Tenma's arrived. Had lived in their village the shortest. Mafuyu had a rough relationship with Ena and Akito. She wasn't sure if she'd call them all friends. But their company was nice until her mother stepped in. She pushed and pushed, snide remark after snide remark, until Lord Shinonome snapped at her. It was one of the few times she's seen someone yell at her mother. One of the few times she's seen no one take her mother's side. She questioned a man over his marriage and right to raise children on his own. Mafuyu knew from Ena that Lord Shinonome wasn't the best father, but when she tried to visit them the next day, they were, having left some time in the night. She has yet to reunite with either of the two siblings and has no idea where they went to.

And now the Tenma's were gone. Or at least, 3 of them. Lord and Lady Tenma were alright. She didn't think much of them, as they were both busy people. Saki was almost always in bed, having been sick since she was very young. But the younger girl was so cheerful and would play piano alongside her brother almost daily. On the days she had extra strength, she'd leave her house and visit one of the other ladies houses. There she would spend time talking with other woman and learning new things. She was very beloved, so when the visits stopped abruptly, there was concern. Mafuyu would see her neighbors stop Tsukasa and ask after his sister. She'd see them knock on the Tenma's house and enter to help Lady Tenma.

And then the news came that the Tenma's were leaving. Their youngest needed medical help they, sadly, could not provide. They left, much like the Shinonome's, during the night. So, it was a shock to all of them to see Tsukasa was still around.

Not that anyone but her mother minded. The boy became very popular when he first arrived. He was loud and outgoing, but also so kind and gentle. He'd play piano for others and his loud voice meant everyone could hear him when he read or made-up stories for the children. Mafuyu remembers when her father told her he approved of her friendship with Tsukasa. He saw that she was happier with him. And he was glad someone could make her feel that way. And she was. She had a friend. But she was also hesitant to say they really are friends. After all, any she had and tried to make all left eventually. And it was never surprising that people around her would always say her mother had a hand in it, because she did.

It may not have been murder or threats, but she knew how to push people in a way that made them not want to be around. She'd say things so minor and unimportant, or speak on things none of her concern, but make a BIG deal out of them (Emu's behavior and Lord Shinonome's parental rights for example).

And as Mafuyu grew, she wished to leave herself. Her mother just got more and more overbearing. She gave her more chores to keep her home. Asked her to join her for tea at a neighbor's. Introduced her the sons of her colleagues, pushing her towards them. She made her take more etiquette classes. Dancing lessons. Equestrian training. And it was so obvious why.

The upside is that her mother can't control who the other women invite. One of the grandmothers in the village would often invite Tsukasa over for tea and he would play piano for her, much like her late son used to. A widowed mother with five children, two her own and three belonging to her long gone brother and sister-in-law, would invite him in the evening and he'd entertain the children while she made dinner. Her dance teacher liked inviting him because he didn't mind providing music or being someone's dance partner if someone was absent or injured.

It all got to be too much when her mother began drafting courting letters. She asked Mafuyu constantly, day by day, about each boy who could potentially be a good husband. She'd ask how her lessons were going. Did she want a need a new dress? Best get one either way, she has to look her best for her suitors. Really, she should brush her hair. What would her future husband think?

She wanted to leave. She wished her father would have taken her with him on his latest trip for work. But, would that just have meant she'd arrive to several suitors awaiting her?? Would she even have suitors waiting for her? Or would her mother have chosen her husband to be by the time they returned??

It was one of her rare days "off" when she confided in Tsukasa about what was happening. The letters, the extra chores and weapons, her fear of losing yet another friend, wanting to leave but being afraid to and not knowing how to do so without being caught.

And this is why she became friends with Tsukasa, he listened to her problems and told her to do it. Leave. Leave when her mother is either gone or asleep. He'd offer to go with her, but he said he'd wait in the village for his family or for a message from them. But if leaving was the thing she needed, she should leave. No one should prevent her happiness, not even her.

That night, while her mother is asleep, a deeper one thanks to the tea Mafuyu made for their evening dinner, she snuck out. She didn't take much with her. She had a letter for her father that she was going to give to Tsukasa. She didn't trust her mother to not tear it apart.

Just as she was about to knock on his door, it opened. Tsukasa looked at her and just smiled. He knew. She didn't know how, but he knew.

He moved to the side and let her in. They stood in silence for a while before Mafuyu handed him the letter. She asked him to give it to her father when he saw him. To not tell her mother or anyone else. She didn't want anyone else knowing why she ran.

And just as she's about to leave, he stops her and gives her a beautiful looking music box. A reminder of him. And a little extra protection. He'll miss her and promises to give her father her letter. With that, he closes the door behind her.

A little extra protection??

Mafuyu thinks nothing of it as she leaves. Quietly and slowly at first. And when she's far enough away, she runs. She runs and runs until she's certain she's far enough away. She isn't sure where she'd go or if she'd run into someone she knew along the way.

The downside to leaving in secrecy was she avoided lighting a lantern. The weather was also getting colder and colder every passing day. She couldn't see anything but her breath. She was cold despite wearing warm clothing. She jumped at every noise and fell because she was being so jumpy while temporarily blind. Her eyes widened when she heard a clink. The music box Tsukasa gave her fell out of her bag.

She's so stupid. She's so, so, stupid. Why did she think this was a good idea? Why didn't she just, light the lantern once the village was out of sight? God, why couldn't she have just, waited? Maybe Tsukasa would get his letter or one of his parents would return soon and she could have left with them. Sure, it meant hiding her letter to father with someone else, but...

She's so, alone and scared and cold. It's so cold. She puts the music box away in her bag again and starts to fumble with her lantern. She might as well light it now, right?

She stops when she hears more rustling. She can hear howling and crickets chirping.

A light breaks through the nearby forest and a group of people walk out. All dressed darkly with their faces hidden. She can't hide. The path she was on led into the forest. Behind her was her old village. These, criminals (?), blocked her path. Just as one of them moved towards her, she ran, crossing into one of the larger fields belonging to one of the men in the village.

She used the field to cut around the group and enter the forest. Her lantern now lit, but very dim as well. She was tired and wanted to stop, but they kept chasing her.

One of them did, eventually, catch up with her. They grabbed onto her and forced her to the ground, tossing her bag towards the others, her lantern broken besides them.

She was scared. She was scared and alone. She cried as the rest of the group emptied her bag. At first they just dug through it and dropped things on the floor. But then one of them decided to just, dump everything out.

She let's out a scream when she hears a loud shatter. Right in front of her, was the music box Tsukasa gifted her. Smashed into pieces.

God, what was she thinking? She should have just stayed in the village.

She closed her eyes and waited for whatever would happen next. Death? Kidnapping?

She felt the person holding her on to ground get off her. She could hear the others whispering before they screamed.

Did someone notice? Was there another traveler?

She opened her eyes and that's when she saw it.

Right where the broken music box once was, was a girl who looked ethereal. She was small and held a large scythe in her hands. Her eyes seemed empty, but when she looked at Mafuyu they were so warm and kind and loving. Her eyes then turned to group robbing her, turning cold and protective. She slams her scythe into the ground, causing the ground to shake. She tells the group to leave. Leave and take nothing. She had more power than they could believe, and when one of them scoffed, she used her scythe to turn a tree into ash. Not wanting to risk it, the group left, dragging some members with them.

Once they were gone, the girl walked over to where Mafuyu was still sitting on the floor. She held a hand out and gave her a gentle smile. She asked if she was okay now. Did she need anything?

Who...who was she? Where did she...

The music box...

The girl is named Kanade. She was created by Tsukasa years ago.

He asked her to protect his friend. To take care of her and help her find somewhere she'd be happy.

Oh...

Now for some additional information:

Magic is real!! Shizuku's coven of "witches" are actually witches. They just say they aren't.

While magic is real, not everyone has it, and those who do usually have an affinity for a certain type. For example, MMJ specialize in healing magic, while Tsukasa specializes in protective magic.

Magic users can use other types of magic, just to a lesser/smaller extent.

No one in their village knows Tsukasa has magic. Because it's protective, he does a lot of things in secret. It's why his parents and Saki had to leave. He tried, but he isn't a healer.

People who use magic go by different names, some call themselves mages, some go by wizards, some choose not to label themselves as anything. But they're all magic users, no real difference between them.

When Mafuyu told Tsukasa she was leaving, he knew chances were she'd leave at night, hence him staying up to give her Kanade.

Kanade's feelings for Mafuyu are heavily based off those Tsukasa had. She does, eventually, begin to grow her own feelings for the girl she's protecting.

Mafuyu's mom was definitely a reason why people left the village. Most people only invite her because she'd cry about it if they didn't.

Mrs. Asahina's beef with the Tenma's also comes from the fact they aren't generational wealth. They became rich. Tsukasa still wears his old clothes rather than get new, tailored, clothing.

Whenever she asks, he tells her he has no interest in that. Why would he want a spouse who's first concern is what his clothes are made out of? He wasn't going to marry anyone who was only interested in his family's wealth. They had to like him.

Mrs. Asahina's comment towards Emu was specifically about the younger's dream to become an adventurer like her late grandfather. She thought Emu should stop playing around with foolish ideas and sign up for classes on how to be a proper lady. Told her that if he were around, her grandfather would be disappointed his granddaughter was acting like a fool, thinking she could play in dirt all day, every day. Emu left the village crying and wasn't herself until her sister took her a theater, which is where she met Nene.

The Shinonome's ended up separating when they left. Ena and Akito went one way and their father another. As much as it hurt to hear Mrs. Asahina say what she said, they knew she was right. And Ena was the one who ultimately decided she was leaving and taking Akito. If he wished to write to them, they would be in the Aoyagi Kingdom.

PREDICTIONS AHEAD! I noticed how the second arc enders were all closer to each other and after analyzing a bit, I then came to the conclusion that the odd enders are more spaced apart than the even enders. 1st arc enders Resonating with you - E21 Magical Showtime - E 25 What Lies Behind - E 38 MORE MORE CHRISTMAS - E 42 Power of Unity - E 54 [Amplitude of 33] 2nd arc enders STEP BY STEP - E 98 Farewell My Mask - E 100 Our Constelatoin of Song - E 101 On Your Feet - E 103 Our Happy Ending - E 104 [Amplitude of 6] 3rd arc enders Over Rad Squad - E 135 Our Hands, Covered in wounds - E 150 [Amplitude of 15 so far]

I would then risk to say that the next arc ender could be Wonderlands Showtime, with a Rui event. We can see from the 1st arc ender that the space between events varies between little jumps and big jumps. We had a big jump now [150-135 = 15] similar to the leap between the WxS and N25; and MMJ and Vbs arc enders. Considering we just got Nene5, 5/6 events from now we should get Rui5, like how we got mizuki5/ena5 with 5 events of interval. It cannot be mmj since Shizuku5 is right at the door. And meanwhile, Rui4 gets closer to EN Server.

For future predictions, I would risk either Haruka 5 or Shiho 5, both as arc enders of their respective units. But considering how Shiho had an event just now, along with being a 2* on both Ichika's and Saki's events, I'm leaning toward her side. (but I would like to mention how Hona5 as ard ender is also a possibility) Shizuku was also featured at said event, although 2 events later she's ready to go.

As for closer events I would like to recall that Honami is dangerously close to focus jail so having her somewhat soon could help fill events.

I would also like to mention our boy Toya who is also getting close to jail. He has gotten many events and cards, his ocean orchestra and 4th anni limited leave me somewhat confused but, considering An5, Kohane5 were limited. Along with Toya getting featured on the 4th anni makes me think he is a permanent event. As for the New Year's. We have 13 Contestants: Ichika; Saki; Minori; Airi; Shizuku; Akito; Toya; Emu; Nene; Rui; Kanade; Mafuyu; KAITO We take out Ichika and Saki immediately for they have gotten hairstyles just a month ago. Followed by Shizuku who is getting her event just now. That leaves us with Mafuyu, Emu, and KAITO as the ones with the least hairstyles, whose dynamics match. Throw in Ichika, whose last 2* was the Sanrio collab, and who knows Mafuyu, their last event dates back to February with Relax Tea Time. Finally, Nene had her last 3* in the 2.5 anniversary. Not to mention that with Ichika and Emu, the dynamic is assured. For Bloom, we can start by looking at Len, the VS with less hairstyles. If we assume that clpl will follow any pattern, we cannot link him with An or Toya since he is a starter VS of VBS. Looking back, neither Shiho, Airi, nor Toya can be, since they got hairstyles from the 4th Anni leaving us with Haruka, who got her Colorfes a long time ago. Similar to Kanade and Rui. If we instead go from the OC with fewer hairstyles, we get Toya. He cannot be linked with Len, and Miku has gotten her hairstyle sooner than Luka. Miku got in ORS while Luka in Wedding Live

aaaa i'm so sorry i'm so late to answering this, i've been meaning to for like two weeks i just kept forgetting orz

okay so for arc enders i definitely think the remaining three will be the next 1 or 2 events for each unit. if we assume 6th anniversary to be arc ender 4/graduation we don't want some units to be speedrunning their conclusion again, which would likely happen if we don't finish up very soon. (how wxs managed to be rushing arc 2 in the first place is a mystery but what's done is done. this is mainly about vbs taking 1yr 8 months to finish arc 1).

my guess is that the next mmj and ln events are arc enders. it'd make sense given the way their recent stories have played out. wxs i'm less sure about. i'm fairly certain next event will be emu and not rui, due to some stuff that happened in emu's card story. given that every troupe we've visited so far has had two dedicated events, we can assume next event will still be the opera company, so it depends on if they want that to be the arc ender or have a conclusion event/rui5 afterwards.

i don't think emu/mafuyu/kaito + nene/ichika NY is very likely at all. emu and mafuyu had a mixed event focused on them only a few months ago, and kaito would have to be an MMJ lim (we literally just got N25 Meiko last month) meaning we need an MMJ girl on the banner, who is most likely to be Airi, though Minori is not impossible. Mafuyu and Nene both already have trained NY cards as well, so they're off the table entirely. Ichika being 2* wouldn't actually be surprising to me though. I think Kanade or Akito is likely to fill the last 4* slot.

bfes has to be Len or he will end up really far behind everyone else bc the mmj girl will break lim cap. also he's really due one anyway so i agree w you there. the pairing character has to be from ln, mmj, or vbs. from those units, the character with the current oldest lim is An, who also doesn't have 7 lims yet either. she's my pick since then you don't have to give her another lim until her 5th anni banner card either. however, she's also possible for vday or wday if we go by the theory that the vsinger cant match with a starter unit member.

i don't think haruka is a likely pick, since that would make 3 out of the 5 rateup characters total be mmj unit (kaito/haruka/either minori or airi), something that only 1 fes gacha has done before (rise as one + fes, but that was an exception anyway due to the need to include saki on wxs fes). if i had to go with anyone other than An, I'd pick ichika or akito or toya.

And Ken Shiraishi grinning proudly at An and the others bc hey, at this point VBS is his kids.

Imagine Tsukasa's neglectful parents, who never goes to Tsukasa's shows in favor of Saki's concerts, decided to come bc Saki asked them, and can only watch as Tsukasa takes the fuckin stage, like the star he always talks about becoming, and then asked themselves, "what have we miased this past few years?". Imagine Emu's father who never have a very good relationship with his daughter, decided to come to like review WxS performance or smth, only to be surprised when he heard Emu's singing and dancing (Emu's siblings are proud af). Imagine Nene's parents who never thought much of their daughter, one day got an invitation from her, and when they came, they watch in awe as their daughter shows them the reason why she's called the Songstress. Imagine Rui's parents, who cares so deeply about him (i think?) but never goes to his shows, finally has time, and doesn't regret coming as they witness the amazing performance that their son directed.

Imagine Kanade's father, watching N25 live concert on youtube, and slowly, faintly, recalling a familiar soft voice within all the voices who resonates in the live (i think he lost his memories right??? i forgot what happened to Kanade's father). Imagine Mafumom, watching live of her daughter's singing, how much emotion, how heavy the lyrics are, and maybe, just maybe, she for the first time doubted herself a little. Imagine Shinei, who always doubted his daughter, having his jaw dropped bc not only the illustration of the live is gorgeous, his daughter's voice is so filled with emotions that he felt shivers, just like when he heard Akito sang for the first time in a live house. Imagine Mizuki's parentd, who never rlly cared of what Mizuki does as long as she's okay, decided to take a look at her live, only to have their jaws dropped because wow, their daughter's singing is amazing.

hello yuri community. I am about to Rant. This is the Mikitena Masterpost. My pet girlfriends who have every disease.

Mikiso Saito (the purple one):

Created first! They/them lesbian, autism and ADHD ridden because they are just like me, for real. Seventeen years old as of ensekai canon, eighteen in jpsekai.

Despite being nonbinary, they do like feminine terms like girlfriend and other similarly feminine words. They are very against she/her pronouns, though. They also have some gender dysphoria because of their feminine figure, but they don’t mind it as much as they used to.

Naturally purple-haired, the cyan streak is dyed. This is because they are abnormal about Rui Kamishiro and had no idea how to speak to him and chose the most normal path of trying to look like him to get his attention. It works. They are friends.

Friends with another friend’s (@kenderlike) pjsk oc, Mikuo. This is lore-relevant because Mikuo is the one who gives Miki relationship advice (neither of them have ever been in a relationship at this point in time.)

Originally went to Miyamasuzaka, transferred partway through second year. Used to be classmates with Haruka and Saki, did not speak to Haruka because they were intimidated Minori style. Saki and Emu are their best friends prior to transfer, they still remain close.

They move to Kamiyama midway through their second year when their parents move - very stressful. Miki struggled a lot to make friends when they were in elementary and part of middle school, since they struggled a lot with social cues and other elements. This meant they were alone for a long period, which has left them with some problems they haven’t quite gotten over, however they don’t surface that often.

Miki ended up awkwardly standing on the rooftop and hoping Rui would speak to them for about a week, which eventually works. The reason they were so strange about him is because they were so truly enthralled with his performances in wxs, which they are a huge fan of thanks to Emu. They’ve been to every show besides the one that went poorly in the main story. They eventually befriend Nene and Tsukasa as well, though they’re somewhat afraid of him at first due to his volume - they get over it quickly enough.

Emu-type rich. Both of their parents have high-paying jobs, so they’re rather well-off. They don’t actually understand the value of money, though, and will casually buy expensive gifts for their friends and get extremely startled when they get emotional over it. Eg, buying Atena (we will get there) a real silver necklace with diamonds worth thousands since to them that’s pennies.

Extremely clumsy. Trips and falls all of the time. Somehow has never felt any embarrassment over it.

World’s most loving person. Can and will hug everyone they meet. Also very hyper, bounces all the time. Quite literally jumps with joy.

On the flip side, goes nonverbal when they’re troubled. This is distressing to them, especially when they haven’t told the person they’re talking to that it happens. Not always - when they’re particularly upset or going through a depressive episode, it’s a fifty-fifty coin flip. They have cards, though - in school, they have a system where when they are at different levels of functioning, they put different colored cards upright. Nonverbal is orange.

Not great at school - average grades at best. They try so hard, though.

Absolutely adores pressure - both giving and receiving. They squeeze their friends, they get squished on demand by their friends and family and girlfriend.

Atena Amane (the not purple one):

!! tw mentions of drug use, abuse, suicidal ideation and attempt, very brief mention of SA - will be a warning when it comes up !!

If you couldn’t tell from the warnings, Atena is Fucked Up. She/her bisexual autism ADD.

Kamiyama student. Sixteen years old as of ensekai canon, seventeen as of jpsekai canon. Skipped a year of school when she was relatively young so she’s quite ahead, still gets relatively high grades.

Almost every Kamiyama student knows about Atena because she’s surrounded by rumors. She has a reputation and is called names which are unkind and demeaning at best - they don’t bother her, but they bother Miki.

Atena serves somewhat as a parallel to Miki, in that they’ve both experienced loneliness due to the opinions of others. The difference is that Miki can’t handle solitude, where Atena thrives in it. She can’t be hurt if she isn’t attached to someone.

She’s very poor. Her father got sick when she was nine and died when she was eleven, and her mother, Yui, works multiple jobs to keep the house running. Atena is responsible for cleaning, buying and cooking food, and other household responsibilities. Her mother is only home on Friday evenings, otherwise she comes home way past 1-2 in the morning and she’s gone by the time Atena goes to school in the morning. This further adds to her isolation, especially as she’s an only child.

Drug use warning: After her father’s death, at age twelve, her first girlfriend and her split up, and the constant trouble eventually led to her smoking weed to cope. On top of this, she picks up casual drinking, as well as dating practically anyone that would look at her.

Abuse and SA mention warning: This doesn’t go well for Atena - she ends up in many relationships that vary from boring to emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. Her halting point comes at age fifteen, with her last casual relationship. To avoid going into detail, she’s hurt badly while intoxicated.

Suicide mention warning: After that instance, she makes an attempt which thankfully is unsuccessful, though the reason this upsets her more than anything is seeing her mother's face. She decides to avoid people in general from that point on in order to not hurt her mother further after the death of her father, not wanting to leave her mother entirely alone.

Her history with relationships leads her to being entirely closed off and extremely blunt - she speaks directly with no sugarcoating, entirely monotone. She also panics when touched due to her history, and does especially poorly when squeezed or hugged without warning.

She is intrigued by Mikiso, who’s unapologetically kind and (in her opinion) abnormally respectful of her boundaries, as they obey her rules to a T. They start dating after a while, and over time with a lot of patience and reassurance she begins to unlearn a lot of the negativity she had associated with “love.” They learn to love together, in a sense - Mikiso never having been in a relationship, and Atena never having been in a truly good relationship.

Miscellaneous general trivia:

Mikiso is ambidextrous - leans more towards naturally left handed. However, after developing their crush on Atena, who is exclusively left handed, they purposely started using their right hand more. Their writing and coordination is far messier, but they don’t care as it means they can hold hands with her while doing things. Atena does notice this one day, when she catches them, doing something with their left hand, but she doesn’t argue when they stutter that they’re ambidextrous.

Atena has a dented, sticker-coated black DS lite her father bought her for her tenth birthday. It’s hanging on by a thread, but she refuses to replace it. She plays Nintendogs religiously, as well as playing tons of cheap, third party games she finds in stores or is given or that she “found” in exes’ houses. She is forbidden from playing Mario Kart, however, as she gets angry and throws things when she loses. This, for some reason, does not happen with any other game.

Atena is an incredible chef. She is also an absolutely horrible baker. The reason being, she takes recipes as a suggestion rather than gospel. This works in cooking, not baking. This led to an occurrence when making bread where she put far too much yeast and accidentally created something sentient. Mikiso sobbed when Atena killed it because it was alive and they felt sympathy for it, where Atena wanted to put it out of its misery. After this occurrence, she was not allowed to bake unsupervised.

When Mikiso wanted to talk to Atena for the first time at school, they fell flat on their face after they misjudged the distance between their back and the wall and they lost their balance. This is the reason Atena didn’t outright ignore them, as she was intrigued by the fact that they simply stood up and acted like nothing happened with no semblance of embarrassment. This is also why Atena realised she found losers very very cute.

Upon being told by Mikiso that they loved Atena for the first time, she had a panic attack. After talking about it, though, she learns that things aren’t going to change because of it. She also refuses to tell Mikiso that she loves them, as she wants to be one hundred percent certain that she feels the same and know for a fact that she means it. Mikiso finds this very sweet.

Atena is learning how to love herself through learning to love and be loved by Miki.

Atena acts “normal” around her mother - is not blunt and smiles widely. The first time Mikiso ever witnessed this, they were horrified. This also isn’t discussed again after - think Emu being afraid of Mafuyu’s fake smile.

They aren't in a unit - they're just two guys, really. Mikiso actually does have a solo sekai called the Ship Sekai (or pirate sekai affectionately - named such because the virtual singers appear only after being Downloaded Legally. Million Dollar Man - Rui Kamishiro

It started off with innocent glances that you could only pass off as observing. It hadn’t bothered you that someone seemed to occupy their eyes on you as it felt harmless. A man across the room was swirling his glass around in his hand, watching as the liquid topples around the sides, while having his gaze linger on you.

Tsukasa had invited the troupe to his after-party with his acting class to celebrate a great show, and naturally, you got to come along. At this point it felt as if you were an honorary member, occasionally helping to polish off scripts and brainstorm plots with their director, but you weren’t much of an actor yourself. The troupe mingles amongst themselves until Rui branches off first, choosing to make conversation with one of the professionals to gain some insight into his own skills. Nene clings to your side knowing you aren’t the type to butt into a conversation like the others. You accept a beverage generously offered by the class and are pleased to find it’s tart cherry sparkling water. 

“If Tsukasa wasn’t having the time of his life with his classmates I think I would go congratulate him,” You speak to Nene first, breaking the slightly awkward silence between the two of you. 

“He’ll come around eventually,” She replies, “he can never get too much attention.”

You laugh lightly and drink more of the water, the aftertaste leaving you thirsty from the tartness. It felt wrong to be standing silent in the middle of the room, or maybe it was the social anxiety creeping up to make you question yourself.

“Should we introduce ourselves around? Join one of the others?” 

Emu seemed to be having the time of her life. The girl was laughing with the actor who starred as Wendy and appeared to be doing fine on her own. Rui looked intrigued by his conversation with an older, wise-looking man. No doubt he was gaining critical information he could use for the next performance. 

“I’m going to head to the restrooms,” Nene announces and points down the hallway. 

“I’ll wait.”

She seemed pleased by your words and offered a small smile and nod before departing. Staying true to your word, you stayed put and occasionally sipped on the beverage until the glass was empty. You make a mental note to grab a refill before everyone leaves.

“What is a fine girl like you doing alone in a place like this?” 

You flinch slightly, not expecting a deep voice to be right next to your ear. Nonetheless, you keep your cool appearance and turn around, not entirely surprised to see your not-so-secret admirer from earlier. Choosing to ignore his rather sexual comments, you take a steady step back to gain some distance. 

“I’m with my friends, actually. One of them was in the play.”

“I don’t see anyone with ya. I won’t abandon ya like they did.” 

His smirk is lopsided in a dark way, a grin full of malice. Alarms immediately set off in your body, but it wasn’t like you could do much against him, and he knew that. Your eyes search and search but you’ve lost sight of Rui, and you can’t exactly turn around to quickly spot the others. 

Where is Nene? Can’t she hurry up just this once?

“I’m not interest, sorry.”

Apologizing made you feel icky inside, but it’s best to seem polite and not to provoke a man like him. 

“Oh come on. What are you, a student?”

Lie. 

“A graduate.” You say curtly.

“I don’t believe that.” 

You want to crawl into a hole and die to cleanse yourself of the ick this man gives you. He senses your unease and knows that he has the advantage.

Where did everyone go?

“Why don’t we…” He steps closer, a smell of cigarettes and alcoholic makes you almost gag, “have some fun?” 

“I’m–” You swallow.

“Ah, dearest! There you are,” A firm hand wraps around your waist and pulls you close. “I was wondering where you had run off to.” 

A flood of sweet vanilla fills your nostrils and easily combats the foul scent of the creep. The moment the scent settled you knew who it was and calmed down. 

Is this the game we’re playing? You shoot the question silently with a pointing gaze. His cheshire smile says enough.

“I was waiting for our friend,” You don’t dare say her name, just in case. “She should be on her way back anytime now.”

Rui nods in understanding and turns his attention to the creep. His gaze locks, his eyes narrow, and if looks could kill, the creep would be in the deepest pit of hell.

“Have a kick out of making my girl uncomfortable during a celebration as lively as this?”

You hate to admit it, but hearing that term of endearment stirs something inside of you. Was it adoration? Gratefulness? It couldn’t possible be anything more, now that would be troublesome, wouldn’t it?

“She’s yours? I’m sorry, didn’t know, dude.”

A look of disgust crosses your friend’s face before the creep’s words even burn into your mind.

“She isn’t just an object to lay claim to,” His grip on your waist tightens, and you don’t think he even realizes. “She’s her own person. A smart, independent, and fucking capable woman.”

Damn. If you hadn’t had any sort of feelings for Rui before, you certainly do now. No one has defended you with such passion and demand before. It felt nice. Validating. 

“You–” The creep points a finger and tries to step closer to the two of you, but Rui is quick to shut that attempt down. He pulls you slightly behind him, and by now the attention of others has been attracted. 

“I suggest you stand down,” Rui smirks and plays with a pen he had been holding to take notes in his pocket notebook. He always insisted on bringing it wherever because 'you never know when inspiration may strike'. “Wouldn’t want to cause a scene now would we?”

The creep grumbles and contemplates his options. It wasn’t looking good for him, and the troupe had gathered behind you and Rui to back him away even more. He seems to decide you weren’t worth the wrath of the man protecting you and backs away, leaving the venue with a pissed off attitude. 

“You’re okay?” Rui’s persona switches around completely. His once malicious-laced words are now soft and cushion any hurt that creep may have inflicted. 

“I’m okay.”

He smiles and his hand draws back. Your waist feels oddly cold now. And just like that, everything goes back to normal.

AS YOU LIKE IT and Rui Kamishiro

"As You Like It" a song made by Eve is pretty much canonically Rui's theme song designated by colorpalet. I don't think I need to explain why as it stands out among WxS's discography while being linked with Rui a lot in general like him being the only with an alt vocal.

Now I'm gonna dissect some of the lyrics (ignoring the lyric distribution, this time because I don't think it ads too much ?) and explain how all of it links to Rui's character while also throwing in a little bit of speculating in there as I think the song could potentially foreshadow Rui's arc coming forward.

Also I know the song was definitely not written for Rui and this technically damages my analysis in some ways HOWEVER the fact colorpalet completely gave up on their usual normal choices for WxS pick to pick THIS SONG obviously matching Rui's character (and also shoving it in multiple after live shows) means this song is worth of analysis.

ANALYSIS TIME :

We're starting off strong, I think these lyrics go well with how Rui was in the beginning. He seemed apathetic/indifferent to the things around him, he clearly had given up connecting with anyone around him.

Crying over these memories obviously refers to how Rui is constantly hurt by his past weither knowingly or not, the memories of people rejecting him pretty much is still wound that is healing for him.

This could obviously be in relation to Rui's relationship with WxS, Rui says later in a QnA that the most stressful play for him was the RMD one. He constantly lives in fear of being rejected and his relationship with WxS is an act of courage for him.

"cause we shouldn't stand still, right ?" first ding on the disbandement arc counter

"Life is a sham" again very much a reference to his middle school self, and the "don't say you can't do it" is rlly vague but also I believe has multiple meanings.

People have bailled on Rui multiple times saying they can't do his production, but also Rui now was in situations where he withdraws from situation due to trauma like in wonder halloween where he "couldn't do it". "Don't say it's too late" Could be talking about middle school Rui's mindset, who had given up despite still waiting for someone to understand him.

Both could also be a reference to the disbandement arc as well

WxS forming and Rui being at first reluctant to join due to fear/past trauma

Now the "meeting of my selves" could be a reference to Rui's emotions but I think this a very specific line that could end up being foreshadowing towards something.

Asahi/Sakaki both seem to have links towards Rui as a character so it is possible, especially with the idea of conflicts with the different selves that this could be a reference to that (both side character linked to Rui ends up heavily challenging him and his beliefs in some way possibly ?)

"We steadily close the gap/But we remain far apart" could potentially be some ominous WxS foreshadowing but that's grasping at straws

Hmm.

*LOUD DISBANDEMENT ARC COUGH*

Okay obviously I don't need to explain how this relates to Rui's character. Rui right now still has Asahi looming in the background as the future of WxS still remains uncertain.

This one kinda has two conflicting ideals for Rui

"No meaning to being humble and respectful" could be related to Rui's tendency to be overly humble sometimes despite his extraordanary, he's very much a perfectionnist. He's also just overall very self critical, people reacting negatively to his directing made him feel like there was something wrong with him and that's just how he continued to view himself.

"So bye-bye to my embarassing dreams" Rui often chastises himself for wanting more, he's very similar to Emu in that way. His dream of wanting to have friends or his dream to stay with WxS both were "embrassing dreams" to him.

There are some other sus lines but since I don't have a good grasp on them so these will be the last one and uhm.

Yeah those specific lines I feel like is foreshadowing towards Rui's trajectory.

Because it's weirdly fitting in Rui's weird spot right now right ? He's becoming better, he has improved in so many ways but there are things that are definitely not improving with him (aka his feelings about greedy, his overworking tendencies and overall emotional repression). There are still issues with him brewing in the background and by issues I mean Asahi.

So yeah this was very rambley and I'm sleepy but As You Like It is Rui's blorbo song and colorpalet likes this blue and purple grape way too much.

I can think of a lot of reasons why I like and have gotten attached to tsukasa more than any other fictional character and i think if i had to keep it simple (or else id be rambling for hours) id say

1. He’s so interesting. I usually pick up the extremely mischaracterized blonde characters anyways but he gets my brain working real hard. its almost 2am and i cant think straight but theres something about his duality that keeps me glued to him and the amount of Layers he has and how removing even one layer or completely ignoring how both his huge ego and kindness + selflessness coexist can really mess up your perception of him. There was something quite short i wrote about how both sides make him. Well. Him. back when his colofes dropped since i was so annoyed at the people Not getting it (while most never even read the STORIES 😁) anf ive been screaming this for a year now Please. Also the way his dream and being a good big brother go hand in hand have captured me. I really like fictional siblings and they fill something personal i miss and Looove looking at the roots of characters. Discovering where this and that and connecting events to what started their behaviors or helped their personality bloom. So seeing saki and toya play such an important role in his life keeps me HOOOKEDDD. I took the bait like tiny fish. Dont regret it. Never will. I like my fictional characters like layered cake. Thats basically how i see them. I had a yummy chocolate cake with so mant layers the other day 🤤 but anyways. I also really like when characters have to learn and grow as people after making really bad mistakes or being straight up assholes so it really took a while even after mainstory but once i got to see more of him with saki and read dazzling i was like. This is the guyyy. Youre mine now lets go. I dont like perfect characters but.. you see.. when characters who have (sometimes way too much) confidence and are dramatic yet are shown to truly be good people who enjoy making others happy… alright.. now im listening… Sign me up…

But really he has almost everything I’ve ever looked for in a character. Starting with the fact that he’s a theatre kid. And blonde. Of course emu nene and rui + more fictional characters have made their way into my heart and ive gotten attached to them on very Very personal levels but when it comes to this Idiot who wants to be a star and reminds me of a dog its something that i dont even know how to explain sometimes. Why is he here? What are you doing inside of my head. Ill never have one solid answer because he takes up too much space in my mind and i become incoherent too often when talking about him.

2. Ignoring my first answer, He is ugly. My favorite punching bag. Cartoon character. Begins floating when he smells pie. I dont know anymore

im doing the rant about N25 KAITO i fucking lied about it coming on the weekend because im bored as hell :3

*ahem*

so N25 KAITO is memed a lot because in the April Fool's event, there's an area convo with N25 Rin where she's talking with another unit's KAITO (either VBS or WXS i can't remember 💀) and she's like "oh. i wonder if our KAITO will be like that :)"

and in EN server there's almost certainly people meming the way the new stamps tastefully ignore N25 KAITO

and I'm interested by this because I think niigo KAITO coming last was a very purposeful decision by the writers?

let's look at the first four KAITOs. Leoni KAITO is quiet, shy, but still a helpful senpai- exactly what the Leoni girls like Saki and Ichika have been needing for direction in their music studies and becoming a better band by working together individually and as a group.

MMJ KAITO is a hardworking manager, who provides that "push" that's shown to help Minori the most. Minori has her head in the clouds often and is shown to be helped by very severe, what I would consider maybe slightly "harsh" instruction from the others. (Think Airi always training her and pushing her to go harder, that's what Minori needs.) KAITO provides that push and also shows the management side of being an idol group for MMJ- all of MMJ are idols after all, to my knowledge none of them have managing experience. But keep in mind, he's still kind. He's still helpful and nice, and smiles often.

VBS KAITO is shown as mostly a direct contrast to Akito and how since the main story, he (akito) has wanted to work hard and consistently for the goal to surpass Rad Weekend, even perhaps putting his studies aside. KAITO represents keeping talent and being hardworking, while still being lazy and having fun. I think he also represents as motivation for Kohane, who was convinced by the main story she needs to work constantly and hardly and push herself beyond other things she enjoys to be able to reach this goal- but she doesn't. All of VBS can achieve their goal while still having fun with it, and that's what their KAITO represents.

WXS KAITO is literally fucking WXS KAITO idk what you want

Okay jokes aside as the "main" KAITO he is there to provide the more serious aspect to WonderShow's silly goofiness. Tsukasa definitely also has is head in the clouds, but all he wants is "to become a STAR! ⭐️" without really knowing how to achieve that goal. KAITO represents the path to that goal, and motivates him to work for that future. We see before PXL and SEKAI, that Tsukasa wasn't really getting anywhere with his acting career, right? And there's a whole other bucketload of info about what he represents for Emu, Nene, and Rui, but I can't figure out how to word it 😭 😭

So to sum it up, KAITOs seem to show what the unit members (especially the "leaders" but not always) need and motivates them to get to their overall goal, they were created in the image of what they want and what they need. And in contrast to Niigo KAITO, they are all NICE. They are all helpful, kind, fun, and genuine.

Now, remember what I said just now, about how they were created in the image of what the unit members want and what they need.

With Niigo, it's a common theme that could be said that "all roads lead back to Mafuyu." Kanade wants to save someone with her music, and Mafuyu represents that desire for her. Ena wants to prove herself as a talented and respectable artist, and she'll know she reaches that goal once Mafuyu is able to genuinely tell her, from the bottom of Mafuyu's heart, that Ena had improved and gotten the feeling she wanted to convey across to someone who is practically incapable of feeling anymore. And Mizuki ,,, there's definitely something for them to but I can't remember anything abt their stories rn 😭 😭 im a failed mizuki kinnie istg (also this entire paragraph was not supposed to invalidate any of their individual stories and characters and say that mafuyu is the best and only character of N25 that's not it at all)

So, considering Mafuyu under this lens, and quoting that KAITOs tend to represent what a unit member needs and wants to move forward, this becomes interesting because deep down, Mafuyu doesn't know what she needs or wants. There were definitely people who predicted that N25 KAITO was gonna be an asshole, but for the most part KAITO's harsh strictness and rudeness came as a direct contrast to all of the kind, helpful SEKAILOIDS we've seen before. Even N25 MEIKO was just kinda chill and quiet with the occasional not nice comment, but KAITO came forward with the sharp, harsh comments about what exactly Mafuyu needs to do. I heard somewhere that Mizuki tells Mafuyu that maybe running away would be a good idea, and that Rui tells her something similar.

But KAITO flat out fucking commands her (and the others i think) that she needs to confront and cut ties with mafumom IMMEDIATELY, and not in a nice or encouraging way either.
