Okay I need to talk about one Canto 4 scene

This is the most I've seen Gregor stand up for his opinions so far (he does more of it in Canto 4). Which like yeah it is very dehumanizing and understandable Gregor would hate that but I think there's something that specifically rlly pissed him off about it.

It's the fact that Samjo is arguing for killing people who run away from battle. Which considering what Gregor did during the smoke war of course he'd be....a little upset at that.

But then Outis and Faust...

Yeah. You can guess how Gregor is gonna take that....

Not very well !!

He immediatly backs down with intense bitterness, you can tell what they said (specifically Outis) really upset him because like...yeah Outis is basically inderectly saying that Gregor should've been executed.

I can only imagine his inner thoughts looked like this when Faust and Outis were talking :

I think a lot of people who talk about Gregor fail to mention how important Canto 4 was to his character mainly that it's the first Canto where we see him throughouly standing up and voicing his thoughts. Only for him to get immediatly shut down by either Yi Sang or Faust/Outis.

And the fact that he acts out the character that's happy to leave the group later on despite the game telling you these roles are meant to be linked to the character. This could be a reference to him leaving the war but like, there's some solid ground for it to be foreshadowing as well (it can be both).

i feel 99 percent of the posts that go "you guys have to stop exclusively watching shows for babies and watch something for adults" ironically comes from people who spend alot of time in fandom spaces dedicated to shows from babies, and i don't think the issue that that nobody wants to watch shows for adults, i think the issue is that people will go to mcdonalds and than go "why is everyone only eating fast food instead of REAL food" well are you following them to their homes or are you just assuming that they have less enriching lives than you?

My first full experience with the Project Moon fandom that isn't friends was a Gregor fan telling me how I should give up reading anything into him because Project Moon actively isn't interested in his character and how he won't have anything worthwhile.

So uhm....any Normal Gregor fans want to interact with this to know if I can share anything in this fandom without being nuked ?

I mean him being set aside is 100 pourcent intentional, considering how much Project Moon takes care to make him the weirdest sinner. Both for like thematically and just simply pacing wise, considering Gregor very much has potential to be Very important down the line (I mean his mom is the Main villain) it's better to avoid him taking the spotlight too much. Thematically, it's like how Gregor in the Metamorphisis was neglected until he died.

I think there is more than just resentment brewing inside of Gregor honestly, he feels similar to Rodya in the sense that they both are held up with tape and paper machée. The thing is that Rodya opts to run away while Gregor gives in and well...running away takes more energy/is more noticable.

His base Ego requiring the most Lust out of any other base Ego (requiring 3 specifically) despite the Ego itself being sloth says a Lot about Gregor. He desires so many things but can't get himself to acquire it.

I'm seeing an insane lack of Gregor analysis content on Tumblr someone mayhaps needs to change that....................when said person finishes all the cantos.

Project Moon being dedicated to making Gregor the odd one out is still gonna be the funniest shit ever.

-Straight up makes Dante part of the Sinner number despite being canonically (unless there's a twist) not a Sinner by the definition of the word simply so they could have him be the 13th.

-By having him be the 13th he's the only one without an association (except the scrapped one from LOR) and he's the only one without the usual 2/2 3/3 birthday scheme (even worse they made his birthday a fucking leap year).

-Only one whose Canto name so far doesn't end in -ing

-His base EGO doesn't have the title be in the novel's language like all of the other sinners but instead in Hebrew.

-THIRTEEN LITERALLY IS AN ODD NUMBER AND A FAMOUS UNLUCKY NUMBER

There's even more I could go into but it is way too fucking funny how dedicated Project Moon is to this. People say Gregor is unloved by Project Moon but this is only treatment you give to your most unfortunate of OCs.

I like Rodigor but not because they're "girlboss and malewife" I like them because this picture sums up their dynamic:

Rodion bullies Gregor a lot and I don't think she's even aware of it half the time. Gregor isn't going to speak up about it or stand up for himself because he's too much of a defeatist conditioned to accepting abuse from others. Rodion tends to overlook the way her actions affect other people even when her heart is in the right place. They're a mess. I love them.
