I was so wrapped in the bucktommy of it all I didn’t even give the right attention to the fact that in 08x05 the show not only brought attention to the fact that Tommy is Buck’s boyfriend (!) but also brought up that Tommy is a firefighter (!!) and a pilot (!!!).
(“I heard it over dispatch” and “everyone at harbor was…very concerned”)
the firefighter show reminding GA that a guy is a firefighter is SO PROMISING. it might be setting up something not only for Buck’s-Boyfriend-Tommy but also for firefighter-pilot-Tommy
do you guys smell smoke. I think there might be a helicopter crashing somewhere.

I rewatched episode 7 again, Death’s Hand in Mine and I have a sudden, morbid realization.
I’m going to put this under the cut because if I’m right it could be a huge spoiler, but also my theory might depress some people. (Hint: this has nothing to do with Agatha and Rio. Or, no, it has something to do with Rio but it doesn’t have anything to do with her romantic relationship with Agatha).
This has something to do with Lilia’s reading and her possible fate.
Fair warning just in case the spoiler cut doesn’t work.
SPOILER SPACE
——
The Death card doesn’t usually mean the person who gets the card dies. Death means sudden transformation.
But, in Lilia’s case, I think… I think it does mean Lilia is truly dead. Because as they cycle through all the evidence of who Rio is, Lilia’s destination, Lilia’s Road leads right back into the moment where she fell into the Westview tunnel.
This is where Lilia finally comes face to face with Rio’s true form, Death.
I’ve wondered why Rio chose that moment to be face to face with Lilia and (re)introduce herself. I thought one of possibility is that in that gap Lilia actually made a bargain with Death, or something.
And then, I realized, as I re-wound the scene with a sudden heartrending realization.
There is a reason why Death showed up in that cavern.
Because at that moment where Lilia fell… she died.
The Lilia we saw walking the tunnels with Jen, reading her own Tarot card did make a bargain with Death. And Lilia was walking on Borrowed time to help save her coven.
Because time is fluid for Lilia.
I realized this when I rewatched Lilia fall with a sudden, severity and noticed the angle of her head as she hit the ground.
And now Lilia reassuring Billy, ‘We’re cool, baby.’ takes on newer meaning because she forgave him, and she’s sparing him with the truth of her death. Her death, to the rest of the coven, is her sacrifice in the tower.
It’s not the fall caused by a temper tantrum.
And if my theory is true that meant that Rio bent the rules a little because, in the end, she will still get Lilia. Sort of.
For Lilia Calderu Time is an illusion.
Lilia can jump in any point in her life. From the beginning of her classes with her Maestra or any point of her 400 years of life. She can, still jump in time within her own personal time line to live her life or help her coven.
Her present selves won’t thank her future self, because of the memory gaps it will leave her, reeling and confused. Fully in control of her time jumping Lilia though would have fun with it.
Lilia will still die, she will still have that appointment with Death, but to quote one Clara Oswald, she can take that road back to Rio the long way ‘round.

You know what I would love...and I don't think I'm right...or all right:
I would love for Buck to check out the hot waiter or flirt with the hot waiter completely on accident. Like he's Buck and he still doesn't recognize when he's flirting with someone even now that he knows that he's into men as well as women.
Tommy doesn't like fly into a fit of jealousy or anything...but he has a moment where he maybe remembers that he's Buck's first boyfriend and that Buck hasn't gotten to explore that with someone else so hey, maybe he's settling and maybe Tommy shouldn't hold him back from that.
So Buck could spiral from Tommy bringing that up and like maybe even question himself and what he wants but really he is questioning Tommy's commitment if Tommy could so easily be like, well you can do that if you wanted to and Tommy maybe reveals stuff about his own past and his own dating and exploring.
But this leads to a conversation that cements their relationship and maybe even an exchange of ILY.
The thing that I would love most about this scenario is the way it would speak to a certain part of the fandom on how Buck shouldn't end up with his first boyfriend...it would also be very Tommy to go the route of if you love it let it go and for Buck to go a little crazy about it.

I've been rewatching the series and had a thought... What if Cassandra had killed Eugene in Cassandra's Revenge? How would that have changed the outcome of the series? He would be brought back in the finale... somehow... but I'm just curious how things could have gone if Cassandra had gone too far and killed him?
Frankly, I think Rapunzel would have lost it. Like, Cassandra threatening him was the catalyst that made her give in and recite the next incantation. His life being in danger was what made her use the Reverse Incantation against Hector Tiri in the Great Tree. I think Cassandra outright killing him would have made Rapunzel not hold back in the slightest at the top of Cassandra's tower. Hell, she already looked like she wasn't putting any effort into using those powers.
Cassandra was putting out hella effort, trying to take her down.
All of Cassandra's body language was forceful and energetic while Rapunzel's movements were serene and simple, and Rapunzel was still more powerful. So, I think that if Cassandra had killed Eugene, it would have broken Rapunzel, and she actively would have tried to take Cassandra down. Not kill her -- at least, not on purpose -- but she would be a broken woman, mad with grief, not really making any effort to be gentle.
(Note that if she had killed Cassandra, she would have felt terrible about it.)
The long of the short of it is that I don't think Zhan Tiri would have had the chance to come back to full power, because Cassandra would be out of the picture, and Rapunzel would have made the effort to return the Sundrop and Moonstone to the heavens, as she initially intended to do in the Dark Kingdom right then, at the midseason episode.

My theory on Agatha and Rio in the final episodes:
This is pure speculation!!!
So I will start by saying that I do not think we will be getting any sort of happy ending. That has been clear from the information we have gotten. It's obvious that Agatha and Rio still love each other, but it's also obvious that they hate each other too. I won't guess as to exactly what happened with the Nicholas situation, but it seems like a lot (probably too much) of damage was done to their relationship.
This post is more about this scene:
and building off of this post.
I think there are really two parts to the trials on the Witches' Road. There has been a group Coven act to pass each trial: they have to make a potion with a strand of everyone's hair, rock out to Lorna Wu's version of The Ballad of the Witches' Road, the punishment of Agatha, and then the Tarot reading. The completion of these acts has allowed them to pass the trial and move on.
But there has also been another part to the trials: a very profound and personal journey for each witch during their specific trial. This is where Agatha's trial was different. Every other witch worked through their past trauma and passed the second part of the trial. The Coven passed Agatha's trial and the group was allowed to move on. But Agatha did not pass the emotional part of her trial.
So that brings us to the final two episodes. I believe that this scene:
will be Billy's chance to work through his trauma and answer "Am I William or am I Billy?"
Neither Jennifer nor Billy are with Agatha and Rio in The Scene™ which leads me to believe that this is a result of one of the betrayals or they have passed all their trials and have completed the Road.
...but Agatha has not. And who is the only person that can get under Agatha's skin enough, antagonize her enough, to get her to deal with her past? Rio.
**Spoilers at this point**
We know from some audio in a trailer that Rio is calling Agatha a coward at some point. And in the last episode, Lilia said "When she calls you a coward, hit the deck." We know that they will fight. We also know that Agatha gets her powers back; the thing that she wants most at the end of the Road.
My conclusion is: Rio is going to antagonize, bait, harass and provoke Agatha into dealing with her trauma. And this is how we will learn the story of what happened between them.
This scene will be a continuation of their fight from episode 1. But ultimately, I think that forcing Agatha to face her pain will benefit her and allow her to complete her trial (and the Road).
We know that they can't kill each other, for whatever reason, from episode 1 so that isn't a motivation for either of them in this scene. We also know that Jac Schaeffer and Mary Livanos understand the importance of what this show has done for LGBTQIA+ representation in the Marvel universe. I do not think they will ruin this relationship completely.
I don't think that Agatha and Rio will have a happy ending. But I also do think that their fight will be for Agatha's benefit (in a twisted kind of way) and she will get her prize.

Thinking about how Rayla originally said the Key was just a child’s toy and now wondering if the Key was originally simply a toy Aaravos made for Leola when she was younger (like children’s blocks) and then later repurposed for the book he was working on which, perhaps, he meant to pass on to her when she was old enough.
#tdp spoilers#the dragon prince#leola#aaravos#the key of aaravos#it should have been the key of leola :(#it’s like a hybrid of regular children’s blocks#and those toys where it has different animals sounds corresponding to the picture#or any number of cube game#speculation

So...
if you look to the left of Solas starting from 20:05 in the trailer, there's a background event. Someone lying prone has a glowing piece of fade stuff that's spitting sparks and seems to be on top of, or in, their chest.
Frame 1: Prone is staring at the sky.
Frame 2: Prone begins to look down at their chest.
Frame 3: Prone gets their head as high as they can.
Frame 4: Prone's head flops back to the ground.
Speculation behind the jump.
Edit: Gif'd it.
I'm pretty sure that's Varric.
Solas needs a narrative reason to begin his heel-face turn, and Varric's had death-flags popping up all over the place. Cue who I think is Ghilan'nain and uh, maybe Falon'Din? accidentally causing Varric's death. They won't give a shit, but Solas will, and he'd be reminded forcibly that the people he locked away deserved far worse than banishment.
Oh, maybe that's how Lace gets magic. She tries to pry the Fade-chunk loose and gets forcibly connected to the Fade.

Do you ever think that the mirror scene is going to happen after Colin has found out about Lady whistledown, when him and pen have reconciled. Then he realizes that all the mean things Whistledown said about her are things she wrote about herself. Then he is going to undress her in front of the mirror and tell her how beautiful she is????? Do you ever think about that????!!!!!

Interesting detail but Melinoe never seems to think about Persephone in the game I've noticed. She broods about Hades and Zagreus, but never thinks about her mom all that much. And it's likely cause she doesn't crave a mother figure when she's got one in Hecate right?
So when she tells Hecate so and Hecate rebuffs that so strongly and so vehemently just ugh. Mel's italicized "Oh" afterwards - you can practically feel the heart shatter/psychic damage in that very second. Hecate put her on the spot to think about this woman she has no connection to, hasn't really thought much at all really, and see her as mom as opposed to Hecate, whom she now has confirmation doesn't see her in the maternal way Mel imagined her to be.
And to think Mel blames herself (her existence really) for the schism that led to Chronos taking over the House. God more than Zagreus, I think Melinoe meeting Persephone is going to be fascinating af.

I have many, many questions I hope the two part finale AAA will answer but the two three questions about Agatha I really want answered are:
- Why the Darkhold hasn’t really corrupted her the way it’s corrupted people across the multiverse. Agents of Shield, Marvel’s Runaways, Strange Variants, and Wanda.
- How did Agatha have siphon/absorption powers? Is it something she was born with? Is this why Evanora considered Agatha evil? Is Agatha some sort of mutant but for the magical kind?
- Did the Darkhold help mitigate and control her absorption / siphon powers?
—-
Also, I realize, we can actually infer that the rumor about Agatha trading in Nicky for the Darkhold are just rumors.
Because Rio said when Agatha acquired the Darkhold Rio couldn’t find Agatha.
Rio said she “did her job” and took Nicky, hurting Agatha.
If Agatha already had the Darkhold, Rio wouldn’t be able to find Nicky either.
IMO, Agatha acquired the Darkhold after she lost Nicky.
Also, let’s be real, Agatha’s grief wouldn’t be so real and heart shattering if Agatha traded Nicky in for the Darkhold.
The events have blurred together for other people, and Agatha has such a terrible reputation that they assumed the worst by shifting around the order of events.
Agatha doesn’t even bother to correct people because what would be the point?

ngl walker being cancelled just makes me even more convinced that there will be a supernatural 20 year anniversary special/series/movie SOMETHING in 2025. like obviously misha and (especially) jensen are addicted to spn and will do anything to play cas and dean again. they wanted to bring cas back in the winchesters but the timing and writing weren’t right. they literally talk all the time at cons about how they want to do the whole destiel plotline justice AND that they have ideas about how to do it. of course they’d jump on a new opportunity but jared? jared just dropped hints last month about stepping back into sam’s shoes capital S soon and now his schedule is conveniently wide open? not to mention ben edlund going ham interacting with fans on twitter and asking us to rec 6 episodes of spn for a secret project he’ll tell us about later? fuck me i guess. anyway yeah i’m telling you im expecting an announcement/press release pretty much any day now
