'alcohol of choice'

sevika:

whiskey. 100%. it's reliable, strong, and gets you drunk fast. Sevika will usually just take the cheapest thing on the shelf but whiskey will always be her favorite.

ambessa:

rum. for sure. it's deep, rich, and has a nice spice to it. Having traveled many places, the best alcohol Ambessa has ever found has been spiced rum.

cassandra:

brandy. of course. respectable, well-aged, and of a noble palate. Cassandra loves most fruit flavored brandies but pear is her favorite.

Listen there's no why Cassandra and Will did not have some sort of codependency going on after Skandia. Like absolute 0. There's no way that after they went back to their respective places in the world they didn't wake up panicking because they couldn't find each other. Cassandra and Will are a tragedy of loneliness.(not romantically. But platonically as friends, family, bonded by trauma and pain and then living at least a week from each other). No one else will ever understand what happened to them.

Horace knows most of the Ranger signals by this point. Will/Halt has taught them to him or he's picked them up from Will and Halt interacting. But... But he doesn't show he does very often. Rangers don't like a strange knight knowing too much

On the flip side knights don't like a strange knight who seems like he just wanted to be a ranger. It's a lonely life that Horace lives sometimes, one foot in both worlds and belongs to neither

Halt will never admit it to anyone, but he nearly cried when Crowley took away his ranger leaf. Crowley wouldn't ever tell anyone but as soon as Halt left his sight he collapsed in a heap and cried. It wasn't professional. But every day he prayed to gods that he didn't even believe in that Halt would survive and find Will (because those two things went hand in hand)

Will made Horace promise to look after Halt if anything ever happened to him. It's one of the reasons that Horace followed Halt to Skandia. Because Will had never asked him for anything before.

i've not written poetry in years (i'm more of a novelist) but i allowed myself some cassandra thoughts (as a treat). i actually had a lot of fun with this and i'm desperate to do more with the idea in the future so we will see.

inspired obviously by my own muses, @two-bees-poetry for the brilliant contrapuntal poems about greek myth, and anne carson, specifically when she talks about cassandra's speech being split in two and her bridging of past and future!

Bella exclaimed, covering her eyes "should one foul note find it's way into my Trevor Jr.'s ear flaps, it is back to the Stinky Weasel with you. is that clear?" Trevor threatened Hook Hand, face-to-face "it's Snuggly Duckling, you-!" Skyler's about to lung forward to attack Trevor, but Bella had her turn to cover her mouth with one hand while holding her back with her other arm

"not one foul note!" he added, but Hook Foot and Lucius are the ones who listened to what Trevor said, they then notice some buckets of fish that one of the staffs placed beside the piano that Hook Hand's gonna play "not one foul note, huh?" Hook Foot repeated Trevor's words with a grin "of course! we'll be pouring some fish inside Hook Hand's piano" Lucius whispered a plan he had hatched for him "revenge!" the accordion waved a puppet version of Hook Foot up in his face with a sing-songy tone and a smirk "let's do it" Hook Foot agreed with Lucius, as a duo

then in the carriage, Hook Hand's about to opened the glass case to pick up the golden hook with gems attached, until Louisiana and the Enchanted Lilies entered back in with disappointed frowns on their faces
