Reblogging for the last addition - because "EXACTLY!!" .... especially that bit about how jared plays damaged men but each character handles it differently- and I'm here for ALL of it! ...

"All of his characters are deeply damaged men but they handle it in different ways. Sam did it by spending his life attoning for the damage that his mere existance caused. Walker made himself small to make up for his mistakes and struggled to be the man he wanted to be and the man that everyone around him needed him to be. Now we have Camden who has his own dark past, but rather than holding him back, Camden leans into his instincts. We see the difference in how Jared carries himself"

& it makes me want to know more about Camden- he's clearly a self-posessed, well experienced grown up man and is not afraid - of himself or others n has a "let's see what you're gonna throw at me, I'm ready"-kinda cockiness/swagger to him...that I absolutely love ❤️ 😍!!....

& I feel like it speaks to his evolution as a human also,as jared - he's matured n grown up n learned from his mistakes and at each stage, his handling of his "damage" has evolved - & almost 'represented' in his characters so far:

Sam - the most traumatised and also the most mistakes in handling by those around him leading him to almost be defined by his trauma to the point of becoming a "batterred wife" ....& only manages to find the edges/start to come out of it towards the end...

Walker - traumatised, still finding his feet in the aftermath but on the right path n direction to recovery & taking active steps positively

Camden - a man that doesn't let his trauma control him although it's clearly there .... & love to get to know him better!

Random Thoights on Fire Country 3.05:

I enjoy Jared’s Camden, but he almost feels like he’s from a different show at times. He comes in so light. Almost everyone else is so over-dramatic.

Gabriela is annoying me. She seems to love blaming other people for her actions.

Bode seems almost bewildered to have someone actually telling him to lean into his instincts for a change.

Bode and Gabriela actually don’t seem good for each other, at the moment at least. I kind of hope they break up.

I really enjoyed Camden’s flip-flops and salt & pepper flight.

I have a feeling if Jared does a spinoff of as Camden, James may end up wherever he does (she has a country feel … Texas?)

The plane crash victims are varying degrees of dipshits.

I really enjoyed the last interaction with Eve and Her brother. Jeff Pierre is a really natural actor. I think we will see him again.

Sharon must have something wrong with her besides stress.

Jake didn’t piss me off today. He’s just worried about his friend.

Camden easily has enough backstory built up to write a spin-off around him.

I liked the episode better than most.

I need to rewatch to see what the texts between Bode and Gabriela said to know what I think of hiw he was watching James sing at the bar.
