The claim originates from an ACLU questionnaire she filled out for her 2020 presidential candidacy, specifically this section:

She wasn't given a new questionnaire for 2024, and has stated that while her policy on some things may have changed, her values had not. (This most likely means she moved more to the center to appease larger demographics and cut corners to reach compromises. The basic politician stuff.)

It boils down to this: If you're in prison, whether for "illegal" immigration or other crimes, you rely on the state to provide you with necessary amenities, like food and health care. Her argument isn't "hell yeah everyone in prison should get sex changes for free". It's "gender affirming surgery is a necessary medical procedure. If you are in the states care while this becomes necessary, the state should provide it." If you're outraged by your tax money being used on this, consider the massive amount of people being incarcerated in for-profit prisons, on your dime. Then ask yourself if maybe a prison reform might be in order.

Worth noting: In 2015, while Attorney General, Kamala Harris actually argued against providing gender-affirming surgery to an incarcerated trans woman, claiming that HRT and psychotherapy were sufficiently covering her medical needs. She has since obviously changed her stance and assumed responsibility. (I would like to take this moment to remind my fellow left extremist commie faggots that "willingness to learn and rethink your views" is infinitely more valuable than "perfect from the start and unwilling to listen to anyone")

Tree hugger is a boomer insult that started (as far as I'm aware) as an insult towards the hippies who were interested in protecting nature/going back to a simpler life. One not driven by the capitalist mantra that was such an ingrained part of life. It was meant as an insult to those who would protect a tree at the cost of a job/business. The same one's who *definitely* /sarcasm have our best interests at heart. The same ones whose actions lead to me being confined to the house for several days due to the local Passiac river catching fire from the accumulated chemical waste in it when i was a kid. It was my generation's choice of insult that equates to snowflake. From the same mindset/group of people.

I don't think we'd have half the issues we do now if more of us were tree huggers.

saying this as respectfully as possible but. Do not put fandom content creators on a pedestal. We are also just fans contributing to a community just as you are. We have boundary on our own work and that’s it. What I say is not and should not be considered sth the whole fandom should listen to. I’m just a normal ass person ranting about things on my blog. If it does not have a fandom tag for others to engage in, do not make it out to be me trying to start fights or addressing the whole community. Because it’s not.

I’m going to do an overall review of the season later but in the meantime I wanted to give one of the strongest pieces of evidence for SydCarmy. I feel like I’m seeing most of the fandom being a little pessimistic about them and let me just say that I completely understand. Being told all week that they are not romantic and them not being emotionally in sync this season is rough.

However, I completely expected a Sydcarmy breakdown before there was a breakthrough and this entire season was them breaking down. As individuals and as partners. And I don’t wanna get too far into that now. I just want to talk about a blatant parallel between Carmy, his family, and the executive chef at EMP.

We saw in 301 that Carmy defied his EC’s recommendation for fennel one time to use the blood orange sauce that he created. That was his one time to use his own autonomy in a stressful situation. Any other time he followed orders and did what he was told to seek the approval of the toxic and forceful EC. This EC destroyed his confidence and the ability to make decisions on his own and gave him severe trauma. Who does this sound like? Donna Berzatto!!! The one time he did not listen to the EC he created the best meal that Sydney’s ever had and this transpired the rest of the events of the bear.

The current Berzattos have taken the place of the EC. Literally beating Carmy over the head about his relationship with Claire. So much so that he’s romanticizing the relationship in his head. All the while he’s killing himself to get Sydney a star, while pushing her away because the guilt over Claire and the pressure to be excellent is weighing so heavy on him that he can’t see his peace right in front of him. I can give countless examples of the Faks, Richie, Cicero, all pushing Carmy towards Claire but it’s going to be up to him to make that decision. I think he struggles to get in contact with her because he knows that once he’s honest about what it is then he’s going to disappoint his family. And their approval is something that he constantly seeks.

I know seeing Carmy romanticize Claire was hard but it really served a bigger purpose to me. This is idolization based on things others have said not his own realizations of what he wants. He wants closure from Claire but that comes at a price he’s not ready to pay yet.

We shall see what happens!
