My most controversial 911ls opinion is that Nancy hadn’t necessarily told Carlos she’s bi, and he hadn’t necessarily known before she told them. Suspected maybe. Wondered, based on things she’d said or done. Either way, the news isn’t a huge shock to him and/or he’s able to measure his reaction better than the others.

A shambler summoning ritual was the easiest one to do in a short amount of time- and they were fortunately intimidating enough to stop the cultist's skip abduction ritual. Hooray! We love shamblers. I think the skeleton one is especially cool.

The few (three) cultists not beaten to a pulp by the shamblers were quickly dealt with by Mechi and his newly-constructed (and probably very poorly designed) killbox.

Anyone noticed that Surge is like... aesthetically derived from Scourge, but her damage and reasons for hating Sonic are way more similar to Fiona?

Kidnapped by a mad scientist (Starline/Robotnik), experimented on in a traumatic fashion (turned into a lightning-powered anti-Sonic/used for the Auto-Automaton prototype), blames Sonic for her situation happening at all (because he didn't kill the villains before they could hurt her/because he didn't come back to save her), and is angry at Sonic for not taking a stronger position against the villains (explicitly/implicitly).

And given how well-received Surge has been, there's a level of "Wow they could've done something like this a while ago if anyone at Archie had seen Fiona as a character rather than a love interest" but honestly I'm mostly just glad they finally did something with the concept of "Person who feels that Sonic is to blame for everything that went wrong in her life and wants to kick his teeth in about it."

#In all honesty I've never liked villain Fiona *because* they bolted her to Scourge and made her into Evil Sally 2 #If she became a villain who could challenge Sonic herself and was driven by her desire for vengeance #(so basically Surge)#that would've been fine. A+ no notes #But instead her character becomes ''Scourge's girlfriend who annoys Sonic's girlfriend''#Even her slapping Tails feels less like a dramatic moment and more like an overdramatic ''Hate this character now'' sign #So yeah as much as I generally think IDW is a downgrade from Archie #and that Flynn had mostly a strong start and has gotten worse over time #I will give them both plenty of credit for Surge #I find her way less annoying than Scourge and also everything villain Fiona should've been #Sonic #Sonic the Hedgehog #IDW Sonic #Surge the Tenrec #Surge is probably the best part of IDW TBH #Not huge on the rest of it but even I- dedicated Flynn disliker since 2012 that I am- have to admit they went off with her #Not gonna tag Fiona since this post is basically ''Man Flynn's version sucked and none of the others gave a shit''#I like her and I wish she was better but Archie weren't up for that

oh i can already tell i’m about to have some really unpopular opinions about the edge of sleep tv show

#i remember everyone loving the podcast when it came out #but as someone who was an active fan of audio dramas and podcasts for years at that point the show just. made me frustrated #i realized later after listening to left right game that qcode has this very strange and almost uncanny production behind it #where they get incredibly famous actors to play characters and then bank their marketing on that alone #and the writing is always *almost* good. like sometimes you start to think you might actually be listening to a good show #bc i mean the audio quality and special effects are all stellar #but then the writing and acting is always just a little bit too over-the-top and dramatic for it to feel natural #like the writers don’t know how to portray emotion without visuals so they just make everything Way Too Intense #and each time it feels like they just ask ‘what’s the most insane thing that can happen next?’#’oh ok he’s gonna chop dave’s dick off’#and every time you start to actually like a character they say something misogynistic or just otherwise batshit fucking insane #not to mention that time in left right game where a girl confessed her love to her best friend before LITERALLY DYING FOR HER #only for the best friend in the next scene to be like ‘erm i’m not gay 😐 awkward…’ and she’s NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN #qcode productions are kinda like the fast fashion of fiction podcasts i think #they churn out so many so quickly and they always feel just slightly unnatural or superficial #not to mention when i tried looking into them years ago and it’s impossible to find #literally anything about them. like their minimalist ass website was so insanely insanely vague #and yet clearly they’ve gotta have a fuck ton of money backing them to have this absurd amount of a-list talent on board #(which really i think that is all they care about)#anyways yeah some markiplier fans are gonna get pissed at me for not kissing the ground he walks on. but i was one of you. i AM one of you #and i hate that somebody out there is holding the iron lung movie over us like we’re dogs and if we wanna watch it #we gotta watch this show. which BTW they are giving no details about where to watch it #and seemingly no promotion or marketing material for a show that’s been in production for years coming out in less than 3 weeks #just weird as fuck man. and i don’t even think mark has much to do with it

#ok im making one more dot post and then i am (hopefully) getting off tumblr and going to bed #liam payne #death #i do suggest not reading tbh because its just gonna be waffle. anyways #ive distanced myself from the boys for years for a multitude of reasons. mainly that they did things that disappointed me and i realised the #way i was attatched to them was unhealthy. so for the most part i listened and enjoyed the music and didnt pay Much attention to anything #else. and like liam. i always liked him in the band days because to me he was the underdog. the underappreciated and probs less stanned one #out of all of them. and when youre a fan i do feel like a lot of us just wanted them all to be appreciated. idk. but anyways yeah i did feel #for him. due to him backgroud growing up. his talent. etc etc. even though he wasnt my fav. and even when he did something wrong my teenage #self still defended him like my life depended on it. literally nobody ever mentions that in uccio's crazy 2016 interview, you all know the one, he randomly brings in casey. like, marc he's got a feud with, maverick is valentino's next teammate, both those guys are in the question, what's casey got to do with it?

#baby jorge might not have had a poster on his wall but he was definitely weirder about valentino than baby casey was #and he's crucially also a lot more relevant in 2016 #do need to state for the record that casey having a valentino poster is in the category of 'technically possible but zero mention of it'#i mean not to put too fine a point on it but i don't think in a lot of the prime poster hanging years casey really *had* a bedroom #i know the literal poster isn't the point #//#brr brr #heretic tag #i do think that there's ofc some truth to the idea that casey's prior admiration for valentino made him ultra disillusioned #like the rivalry with marc is in no way comparable from valentino's pov b/c of the dramatically different levels of emotional investment #but it IS a little bit comparable from casey's pov. so there's something interesting that the proxy of uccio is drawing that line #something kinda fun if valentino was a bit more aware than casey thought he was of just how badly he was twisting in the knife #i think what's really neat and juicy about valentino as a foil for casey #is that casey also manages to run into the most dispassionate and calculating version of valentino. like it's all deeply unfortunate #the valentino of half a decade earlier or later would at least initially be a lot less brutal in how he manages this rivalry #a big theme with casey is all these little and big injustices. how everything and everyone seemed to conspire against him #and ofc a lot of that comes back to valentino in one way or another. it's fun to think that this even extends to the timing of the rivalry
