Hi, I'm in a self indulgent mood. So I decided to just do this whole list for fun! Here is the link to the Ask Game.

I'll add all my answers and such under the cut so it's not just a wall of text in your face!!

🖌 - Do you have/want any tattoos?

I don't have any but I do have a few I really want. I'd love a d20 on my wrist, my mom and brother's birthdays on like a scroll with extra space (so I can put any kids I might have on it), and a full moon over a waxing crescent. I'd probably let my mom and brother pick a tattoo for me to get as well.

💚 - What’s your favourite colour?

Green and blue have always been colors I've loved since I was little. As I've gotten older, I really grew to love pink and yellow too. I do prefer the lighter shades (and I find pastels v cute). While I mostly did my blog theme for like Valentine's day, I would say rn pink is def my favorite.

🍕 - What’s the last thing you ate?

Baked potato 🥰 it has to be my favorite food. Potatoes are just godsend and baked potatoes? Hell yes

🕰 - What time is it where you are rn?

As if right now, it's 8:50pm. No idea what time it'll be when I post this.

🌟 - What is your zodiac sign?

Scorpio! Nov. 11th is my birthdate. Although wasn't there like a new zodiac sign that was introduced a few years ago? I think technically my zodiac should be that one, but I think I want to keep Scorpio.

🌍 - What is your favourite accent?

Accents are so cute you guys. I'd probably go with the lighter, airy Irish accent.

⚡️ - Do you have any scars?

I have a couple small ones on my hands due to burns while cooking (the amount of times I've been splashed by oil 😅)

🌺 - What’s your MBTI type?

I took the test just cause I don't know how much it changed from the last time I did it. I got INTP: The Logician. It's interesting cause I think every time I've done the test, it's swapped between INTP and INFP

Oof. It's probably between Coraline, Spirited Away, and The Corpse Bride.

Critical Role (webshow), Madoka Magica (anime), Teen Titans (cartoon)

😂 - Are you ticklish?

Yep! I don't know how ticklish tho since it's been a while since anyone has tried tickling me. I know I was v ticklish as a baby child but now I think it's mostly my feet that are ticklish.

💍 - Do you ever want to get married?

Absolutely! I'd love to be married some day and have kids. Or if I somehow end up really rich, I might adopt. I mostly want to be a mom. But if I can find someone that can deal with me then I'd like to marry too!

😳 - Do you like your name?

I didn't when I was younger but since becoming an adult and applying for jobs (since you have to use your full name and not a nickname), it's really grown on me. Yeah Kat isn't my real name, but I enjoy it v much as a nickname.

💙 - What colour is your bedroom?

It's a fucking green screen Green. I wasn't around when my room was being painted and my mom mentioned being afraid it'd be too bright. But hey, at least I have a green screen whenever I want to clear space and do weird stuff.

🤓 - How did you get your name?

Ooh so without giving away my whole name, my initials are due to a bet my dad made (some thing was being named and my initials were one of the options, which won). One of my middle names is because my mom's aunt (my great aunt) was a nun and so she couldn't have kids so my mom named me after her (she was my favorite aunt, I very much miss her ❤️). My first name is based on a character from my dad's favorite book.

🎓 - When did/do you graduate?

2018 was when I finished High School. I haven't done college yet just cause I want to save up money and see if I can figure myself out a bit first before doing that.

🍄 - Do you have/want any piercings?

Man I'd love to get piercings but when I first got my ears pierced, they swelled up real badly in like 2 days. I know I have real sensitive skin, but I thought real metals wouldn't affect me that badly. Boy I was wrong. So for now I'll just longingly look at facial jewelry and sigh.

👀 - What colour are your eyes?

Hazel! Depending on what I wear they can look more on the green side.

👱🏻‍♀️ - What is your go to hairstyle?

Pixie cut! I don't have an exact style of pixie, I don't know that much about hair 😅 but I love getting pixie cuts.

🥂 - Have you ever drank underage?

Yes. Never anything good though since it was mostly beer or whatever was being drank due to the holiday.

🍾 - Have you ever gotten drunk?

Nope! I've been tipsy but I always get super tired when I drink so I haven't been able to stay awake long enough to get drunk (which I always do around people I trust, not to worry anyone!)

😱 - What’s your biggest fear?

Claustrophobia. I can probably deal with it better if I'm around someone I really trust so they can help calm me down. This one might be more niche, but being eaten when I'm in some body of water terrifies the shit out of me. I'm decent at swimming, but there's no way in hell I'm going to outswim anything that wants to eat me.

🥵 - Would you rather be too hot or too cold?

God I hate both of them so much. I prefer cold weather so I can bundle up and be comfy. But I'd rather be too hot. Maybe I can sweat off some of my water weight 🙃

🌦 - What’s your favourite weather?

If I don't have to go anywhere, I love the rain. It's just so soothing and a good time. I also love the sound of thunder. I still love rain even if I have to go somewhere, but I'd prefer lighter rain and hopefully it's not cold out while it's raining.

🍂 - What’s your favourite season?

Autumn/Fall. It's just cozy and the vibes are immaculate.

🐷 - What’s your favourite animal?

I am an animal lover so this is tricky. I've been really into pigs lately. They're v cute and I'd love a little piggy (good for hiding bodies too).

🐶 - Do you have any pets?

I mean, I'm not shy about sharing my babies. I have three cats and a dog. I have a few chickens too but I wouldn't really count them as pets.

😴 - What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep?

Back when I was in high school, I could go a couple nights without sleep. But now, I am an old lady with my sleep schedule.

🎨 - Any hobbies?

Besides the obvious, I can loom knit (well I can make an octopus and that's it) but I've made so many for friends and family. It's v fun although I got a new knitting needle and have stabbed myself so many times cause it's ungodly sharp.

🛩 - If travelling was free, where’s the first place you’d go?

I'm overthinking this and that's the issue. If traveling was free then I know I'd be on some waiting list to travel some places because everyone will want to go (trips to Japan would take years). Honestly, I'd probably go to Texas because I have a very good friend that lives there. We've been online friends since I was in middle school and so I really would like to meet her IRL

🎇 - What’s your most searched thing on Google?

Haven't looked yet but I'm nervous laughing because it could be so many things. The amount of times I've looked up "What happens to a body in these conditions..." 😅

I don't have that many apps on my phone tbh. Webtoons is probably the one that gets used the most (I do have the tumblr app but I much prefer browser). I guess I'd have to go with Discord tho just cause it's how I communicate with friends and there's many fun memories there.

🤠 - Are you more of a city person or a country person?

I live in the country right now and while I love all the open space and there being no rules about what I can and can't do, I do miss being able to go out and do stuff in the city. If I lived in a city that doesn't require driving to get to places then I'd be city girl 100%. So I'll have to go with country just because driving scares me (well other people driving scares me, especially in the city. Everyone is chill driving in the country).

For Mrs. Flood my theories are:

1) Ruby from the future (Based off the interaction at the end it gave a “good luck at seeing what we're going to experience” sort of vibe.

2) Susan (Mrs. Flood's blue door is giving the faded Classic Tardis blue & I want to know what became of Susan after she settled down with David)

3) A regular old lady who has just seen the Tardis land many a time during crisis's & has worked out what it is via hearing companions/Doctors speak about it as they're walking towards it. A sort of Wilf-like recurring character whose just a snazzy old lady <3

4) The person who picked up the Master Tooth.

5) The Rani (Why not 😅 I've guessed “The Rani” for characters so many times now I might as well put the suggestion in the ring again & this time Mel is back & Mel encountered the Rani with Seven in her first serial with him)

6) Missy (The Meep has taught me to beware of something nasty pretending to be something nice) I thought Indira Varma's new character “The Duchess” might be Missy but this is would not be the first time RTD has put a gentle looking older character who doesn't look like they can do any harm in DW until all hell breaks loose. Professor Yana turned out to be The Master.

Can you imagine 😭 it IS Mabel's turn for the near death experience on the ground 😭 imagine she's lying there scared & low-key dying & there's Oliver ✨trying✨ to hold in his seventh heart attack & Charles probably not even in the same dimension DEALING with the very real fear of their friend (adopted daughter) dying on them & they're calling for help whilst holding her/trying to stop the bleeding/trying to keep her awake 🥺😭😩 honestly if they did injure Mabel in front of Charles & Oliver I would ✨expire✨

Crazy heartbreaking theories of mine about season 4: 1) Charles gets seriously wounded due to another murder attempt, Oliver and Mabel are worried as fuck 2) Charles disappears, but he is not actually kidnapped by the real killer, Oliver and Mabel are worried as fuck 3) Mabel accidentally gets a shot for Charles (I've kinda calculated it's her turn to lie on the floor "dying" with the others worrying BUT I WON'T SURVIVE THIS), Oliver and Charles are worried as fuck, Charles blames himself, Oliver tries to reassure him

i know, i know realistically that because tales of the tardis is making it's return that “the one who waits” or whatever “the big bad” is that shall be giving the doctor & UNIT grief in the finale will probably be that villain from the pyramid serial that was, in fact, the first proper classic who serial i ever saw because it was on the sarah jane adventures dvd but up until the new tales of the tardis instalment was announced, i was so deep in the theory that this is all leading up to the trickster's greatest comeback of all time: ruby is an element of the pantheon & seeing as i've clowned too close to the sun i'm unleashing the insanity that's been occurring in my brain since “the devil's chord”

so basically the doctor said 8 words about maestro & i haven't been sane since.

“that thing must be part of the pantheon”

that was it for me then, i was CONVINCED that this might be leading up to have something to do with the trickster because in “the wedding of sarah jane smith” the doctor & the trickster/the pantheon talk about how they heard about one another through legend:

& from the spreading of the salt this era of doctor who has been all about myths & legends breaking their way through into the universe & the first half of the finale is titled “the legend of ruby sunday”

THEN maestro attacked ruby & the music played from within ruby is VERY similar to the score played in “whatever happened to sarah jane smith” when sarah jane was giving maria the puzzle box which protected her (& then later alan) from the trickster's power & this was the first time the trickster ever came into the whonivese & whilst i thought i was reaching here, i was CLEARLY not the only one who thought that the score progression sounded similar.

after “the devil's chord” i didn't want to say anything because i thought i was going to sound absolutely crackers but it was simmering, the thoughts that whatever ruby is COULD be connected to the trickster or the pantheon. honestly even if it turns out to be nothing to do with the trickster themself but just another element of the pantheon that's at play & what everything is leading up to, i'd consider that a win.

the full downward spiral into madness began after i witnessed the horror that was “73 yards” which both scared me for life & after like no doctor who episode has done in a VERY long time because not only was i actually scared of ruby sunday & was thinking WHAT IS THIS BEING but it also unleashed this:

deep down, my rational brain KNOWS it's not what my unhinged brain thought it were but in fact what it literally was which was a story filled with elements of welsh folklore BUT my brain said:

to my brain, “73 yards” reminded me of the doctor in “turn left” saying:

and whilst i was in my post 73 yards state of horror/being genuinely afraid of what ruby was there's was two options my brain was throwing out:

1) ruby could be one of the pantheon/the trickster’s brigade she's one of the changelings like the time beetle because life WAS changed in tiny little ways & this was literally probably one of ruby's worst case scenario: that everyone would leave & she'd be alone all her life & her fears manifested in her potential trickster/changeling power & made a whole new reality for her that she enabled herself to stop. it was all just her & the extent of her powers which could be used for very bad.

2) and this is the one that i latched onto like a person deranged:

ruby is a creation of the trickster, the trickster is “the one who waits” because the trickster has been “waiting” for a way to break into the universe & then i just went wild with this theory of mine because of the sarah jane adventures.

in the (devastating) final season of the sarah jane adventures, sky smith was left on the doorstep of sarah jane's house when she was a baby, similarly to how ruby is left on the threshold of the church on ruby road. now that's a reach, yes but HAD the sarah jane adventures series 5 finished the way it was intended to be finished, sky smith would have turned out to be the trickster's child in an finale called “the battle of bannerman road” & her trickster powers would have been awakened by the trickster. sarah jane would apparently have been considering this to be true because she'd gotten jo jones to research “trickster myths” sky would have returned to herself but would have evolved into an entity that would banish the trickster from reality & guard him in a prison forever:

honestly i started to imagine that a similar situation could happen with ruby because this story was ultimately never made & whilst i am probably clowning to the highest degree here, i thought about jo & clyde's segment of “tales of the tardis” & how clyde's story is left open ended as if it could possibly be continued & what better way to continue clyde & rani's story then to bring them back during a potential battle with the trickster? there is also the fact that the other unnamed episodes of the sarah jane adventures WERE actually made into stories for a fantastic show called “wizards vs aliens” specifically, “the thirteenth floor”

so perhaps rtd could be using the bare bones of “the battle of bannerman road” for the conclusion to the mystery of ruby sunday.

as i said, i went rather deranged with this one & it's probably going to be the greatest comeback for sutekh, who will probably turn out to be “the one who waits” possibly the head of the pantheon & the creator of ruby but my brain has decided to throw one more twist:

the missy chronicles: a collection of short stories about adventures missy has including a story that's set whilst the doctor is unconscious in “the doctor falls”

the feast of the drowned (stephen cole): an adventure with rose & the doctor (10) gives more background to rose by introducing a friend of hers from earth & mickey gets in on the action.

the stone rose (jacqueline rayner): an adventure with rose & the doctor (10) the doctor needs to stop going to ancient rome 😅

josephine & the argonaunts (paul magrs): an adventure with jo & the doctor (3) with appearances from the brigadier, benton & the master.

the story of martha (dan abnett): a fantastic novel set in the year that never was featuring martha & leads all the way up until the start of “last of the time lords”.

beautiful chaos (gary russell): an adventure with donna & the doctor where they address what happened to donna's dad.

shroud of sorrow (tommy donbavand): an adventure with clara & the doctor (11) has this really fantastic moment where the doctor reflects on his past companions.

the shining man (carvan scott): an adventure with bill & the doctor (12) it's a bit of a horror story this one.

diamond dogs (mike tucker): a really fun & well written adventure with bill & the doctor (12) great space mystery adventure.

the day she saved the doctor: collection of stories about sarah jane, rose, clara & bill where they save the doctor.

i put my whoniverse figures in front of my torchwood books but they are all stories with the whole torchwood team (i only read one without owen & tosh) titles of the ones i love are:

Book recommendations?

I'm looking to read more in two of my main fandoms, Star Wars and Doctor Who.

Pre-2014, I had a large collection of Star Wars books (somewhere between 170 to 200). But after the Disney acquisition and continuity reboot, I sadly and stupidly got rid of most of them, keeping only my favorite books, series, and/or those by my favorite authors. I'm slowly trying to restart my collection.

But I'm also interested in reading some Disney canon Star Wars books or Expanded Universe/Legends that I never got to read. Characters that I love or am interested in reading more about: Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Skywalker-Solo clan (male or female), Qui-Gon Jinn, Thrawn, the Jedi Order (mainly Prequel Era but also some New Jedi Order), Boba Fett, the Mandalorians, Palpatine, and high-ranking Imperials.

As for Doctor Who, I only started reading a few books around the time of the 50th anniversary. And more since the 60th anniversary. I'm trying to start a collection, buying them where and when I can. Mostly, it's just been novelizations, but I've read some Past Adventure books and spinoff pieces.

I'm willing to read anything to read anything (books or comics) I can find. But I'm really interested in reading anything that has UNIT (Brigadier, Benton, Yates, Jo, Liz, Harry), Sarah Jane, the Master, the Time Lords, Sisterhood of Karn, Rose, Martha, Donna, Jack, Torchwood, Clara, Romana, Leela, Bill, Susan, Jamie, and Zoe.

that moment in which professor yana becomes the master is absolutely unhinged. he just goes from that snazzy soft spoken old gentleman to an eldritch horror with those incredible delgado vibes in seconds & it is an absolute tragedy that he (as the master) only had about ten minutes of screen time. could have been one of the masters of all time.

my mother: it’s a shame that the doctor never came to torchwood like they visited the sarah jane adventures.

i mean practical reasons such as age ratings aside, I can think of several instances where a case the torchwood team investigated would’ve probably made the doctor lose all faith in humanity & make them never want to set foot on earth again. also the doctor would have probably pulled an entire shopping trolley out of the tardis & confiscated half of the weaponry & alien tech the team had acquired over the years, would probably get into an argument with (owen or ianto) at least one team member, would strongly advocate for weevil rights, would not be expecting such constant bad language & would potentially scar gwen for life by causally telling her about gwyneth & the gelth.

@sallysellsseashellssundays I know we’ve talked so much about this & about the Toby | Roman comparisons but until you said it, it just hit me how alike Jefferson & Ed are. Honestly I never used to rewatch the Black Hole episodes often; I liked them, I just hate that all the Ood die 😭 (will always be Friends Of The Ood) but in the last couple of years I’ve watched those two episodes more than I’ve done before & I love the Black Hole crew & now I’m coming to the realisation that it’s probably because they remind me of the Mars Crew.

The Waters of Mars Rewatch

I've already ranted about this to @witchofthemidlands but just need to write down my thoughts after rewatching The Waters of Mars yesterday

When you write this episode, Rose, The Parting of the Ways/Bad Wolf, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday, Smith and Jones, Partners in Crime, Midnight, the entire S4 ending, THE END OF TIME you can have as many Slitheen fart jokes as you'd like Mr. RTD *bravo*

Also, I'm losing my mind as to why Ten went to Mars specifically, could it have been b/c Jackie and Donna always said he was from Mars?? And he really was making an effort to leave initially and not affect history...it's fascinating to see his final response as more and more people die compared to, for example, Voyage of the Damned. He's really at a point in his life where he's been broken down enough that he loses it completely

This SHOULD have been a two-parter episode there is so much to explore with the Mars crew and I even see parallels between them and the crew from the Impossible Planet two-parter it would have been wild to see the end of this episode paralleled with that storyline. Roman is like Toby, Yuri and Mia maybe like Danny, Ed definitely like Jefferson, Scheffi is like Scooti?, Adelaide like Zach etc. idk but I see a lot of parallels

My absolute favorite tiny detail is Ten expressing dislike for the robot but as soon as Roman talks about robot dogs he goes "actually hold up a moment" lol he will be loyal to K9

Adelaide is a badass I love her so much and I find the contrast between her and Lady Christina just one episode prior to be fascinating, I think Adelaide is exactly the type of person that Ten needed in his life at that exact moment

The Doctor speaking Martian...it's crazy how easily it could have turned into a Midnight 2.0 situation for him, I think Adelaide is the difference here she exudes so much authority

The fact that they took the time to focus the camera on Mia and Yuri holding hands, like 1 second only, but I go insane for that recurring theme in RTD's era especially considering how much that relates to timepetals and how distraught Ten is after losing Rose again and Donna

Speaking of Donna I love the Pompeii reference I could write essays about that as well as the mention of the Journey's End storyline with Adelaide as a child, RTD isn't hitting you over the head with it but you can definitely see all these links between what Ten lost in that episode and the Pompeii situation and his mental state in this episode aaahhhh what a masterpiece!!!

DT's acting in the final scene gives me CHILLS, he literally feels like an entirely different character as soon as he steps off the TARDIS, I feel the hairs on my body stand with the look in his eye. I am not a huge fan of Joan in the Human Nature two-parter but I think that was an interesting set of episodes and I also think it works solely b/c DT can very convincingly make you feel that John Smith is different from the Doctor even though there are some remnants there, same here in this episode. It's the Doctor but there's something there that is very un-Doctor.

i love tooth & claw because it shows the very foundations of torchwood, how it was birthed from queen vic not being amused over tenrose acting like silly gooses whilst a werewolf potentially turned the royal family into werewolves whilst extreme chomping on a bunch of folk & that it eventually evolved into spawning torchwood three, where ✨captain jack harkness✨ lead a bunch of delightfully unhinged bisexuals who gave off questionable vibes around cardiff whilst somehow managing to remain semi hinged to save the world from aliens & the swansea countryside from cannibals 🤩

I will admit for a ✨second✨ I thought is Oliver starring in his own musical a good idea? Can Martin Short actually sing? All the while disrespecting my childhood because I COMPLETELY forget that Martin Short once dropped the absolute banger that is How Can I Refuse? from Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper.
