one thing about louis... he doesn't like it when lestat is grouped with others in any context.

starting with a simple "he's not white he's different," "he had a way about him," to fucking "i can't do it, can't burn him like he is one of THEM," "(lestat's blood) was good enough for us" and the biggest contender "we had taken 7000 souls by then, but lestat was the only one that felt like murder."

even with dremastat!! him projecting the"im still the only being you trust." ???? dreamstat going "HA!" as in louis reacting to armand comparing lestat to marius, because how dare you???

Can we talk about this moment in ep4? This is not just a joke about Lestat's narcissism. This scene is actually much deeper because... it's not Lestat talking. This version of Lestat exists only in Louis' head, it's a projection of him, so in fact what Dreamstat is saying here is Louis' own thoughts. Throughout the S2, we watch Louis walking around Paris, looking at streets and historical sites, and then he tells Daniel this during the interview. Why? Because Louis knows that this city is connected to Lestat, and in the process he takes photos because he dreams of seeing Lestat in this way. This is also confirmed by Armand's picture, because Louis obviously wasn't photographing Armand.

Armand gets into the frame in this photo, his image is blurred and is somewhere in the corner, because he should not have been in this picture. Louis tried to capture the image of Lestat, to get some kind of material confirmation of his presence, because he missed him terribly. Maybe Louis was only interested in photography because of Lestat.

And if you put all these thoughts together, then, yes, the main disadvantage of any photo for Louis is that there is no Lestat in them.

do you guys really like louis? like.. do you guys really like louis as an individual character? because I don't see any conversations/debates about louis where loustat/lestat is not in the middle of the sentence.

It's never a discussion about Louis alone, it's never a discussion about Louis and his family, louis and claudia's relationship, louis' relationship with other characters.

It's like Louis was just reduced to a ship/romance when the character isn't that, Louis' character is much more than that.
