Okay, I saw a random tweet recommending the show "Powerless" last week so since I am bored I decided to give it a try.

That's a show released in 2017 that was cancelled after one season due to a lack of audience. It's a sitcom in the DC universe about regular people living there, more exactly about a team working at Wayne Entreprises R&D.

And the show is nice enough, that's a sitcom it does the job, I don't ask for more.

But the boss of that office, Van-something Wayne Junior (who happens to be Bruce's cousin or something) desperately wants to get muted from his perfectly normal city called "Charme City" to the freaking Gotham office.

His city sounds nice. Their main villain is a man with a pumpkin that throws fireballs, there are villains who make winter really cold, it sounds perfectly good for a city in the DC universe. Why the fuck do you want to go to Gotham, sir. That place is not just weird, it is living in another universe of weirdness. Why would you want that-

And like the Gotham office is certainly more important and prestigious but... it's in Gotham.

i think the reason these 'soft reveals' work so great because because in a darker universe, a universe made in darkseid's image, you expect things to be things to be the worst, the most miserable they could possibly be.

and yet, its in this universe that bruce and kal get to experience life with their parents.

even diana, taken from her mother and sisters as a baby and cast into literal hell, finds the love of a mother there.

despite everything, they experienced that love. despite everything, there's hope.

Just thinking about s4 but when Alpha!Eddie grabs Steve to shove the bottle against his neck, he doesn't realize Steve is an omega and accidentally scruffs him. And Steve is just boneless, kinda goes down. And Eddie isn't expecting deadweight and almost falls ontop of Steve but realizes what's happening (let's just say he's fought off a few bullies who scruffed members of his pack). He immediately drops the bottle and holds onto Steve, who tries to scent Eddie. Just shoves his face into Eddie's neck and nuzzles it, lets out a purr unintentionally.

One of the things I really appreciated about this miniseries was Stephanie’s checking in on this henchwoman. It only had a couple of scenes, but it ended up being pivotal to the plot (not this scene, this was just Steph seeing someone who’s hurting and wanting to help them), and I thought it was a really nice beat. They absolutely didn’t need to do this, and it’s just one page, but it’s very sweet and I’m glad it exists.

Steph got some very fun moments in this run, which I really appreciated, especially in a miniseries about the robins (a group that she is far too often left out of).
