Winging it, Won’t you join me?

So I have read blogs about writing blogs here’s what I found out. I should introduce myself and what my blog is about, it should have a clear topic and be well written. On top of that it should be coherent with no grammatical or spelling errors. In conclusion I hope I can manage coherent, but my spelling and grammar isn't up to par and a topic well does life count? So, this isn't a blog this is an open diary if you will. This is thoughts, feelings and discussions about my life and topics close to my heart. I’m not here to offend but I am hoping that someone may realize there not on their own.

So who am I firstly? I am 29-year-old Lottie Smith but I also go by the names of mum, mrs and boss. I am currently spending my maternity leave with my 2-month-old and 3-year-old in lockdown. Music and patience is what's getting me through at the minute and guys this is my first admission some days I am flying some I am barely surviving and I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one. Work well by the time I go back I maybe redundant and if not do I wanna go back anyway and what about childcare. The reality - I’m winging it all and hoping to take you guys along for the ride.

Double scan

so today was scan day 

any just like always i know nothing. no answers not even a clue as to what is going on with my cervix and uterus just more waiting and hoping to find out answers.

i have to wait a week which is going to take an eternity to find out what the report says from my scans. 

i think the highlight of the whole thing was watching my partners jaw drop to the floor when he saw the women put a condom on the probe that goes internally which was hilarious who knew mens faces could scrunch up that much. 

i loved how she started with the normal scan first then saved the horrible probe scan to last. 

safe to say i am now in pain, well even more pain and just want ice cream and a hot water bottle. 

eurgh. forever wishing this pain would stooooop.

Have you had an emotional day lately? This little lady was full of emotional energy yesterday. In fact at one point I had to leave her to calm down for a moment. People have said to me before in these moments “ooo get used to these moments,” “Enjoy them while they are small” “Just wait until the teenage years” Blah blah blah. These unhelpful statements to the mum on the edge of crisis mode can truly drive you mad! Make you want to run away. I just want to give you some truth. These moments are part of life, part of growing, they will happen no matter how content you feel, no matter what you do. Stings a little doesn’t it? I know. I was at that point only a few months ago. If this is life how will I ever carry on? This isn’t some BS💩 wave a magic wand and get them to disappear. This is getting you to the point of letting them happen and not making them run how you live your very best life. This is helping you find ways to make them have less power over you, over those kids feeling happy. Once you have the tools to ride those emotions they will ease and the waves will get shorter. Ollivers dietitian appointment

today was ollivers first dietitian appointment after months of not being seen.

His new consultant is from a child development centre the same centre that olliver is on a waiting list to be seen about him being monitored and assessed for possible autism. 

anyway olliver started playing up before we even got to sit down in the room with this new consultant, he was running around the waiting room climbing on everything jumping up and down throwing toys pushing his sister the list goes on at this point i knew this appointment was not going to go well. 

three meltdowns later and a time out on the hospitals plastic chairs and it was our turn to go in, at first he wouldn’t go through the double doors leading to the room then once we managed to concur the double doors he was charging down the hall way refusing to go in to this room, at this point i was ready to call it quits but i stuck at it and got him in the room, next came the kicking the screaming and me trying to sit there and hold a conversation with this poor women who had no idea where to look, mum even tried to get ollie to calm down and sit still but he wasn’t having it. 

within five minutes the appointment was done after ollie picked up one of the childrens chairs and through it across the room that was it, time to leave he wasn’t settling he wasn’t interested and he definitely did not want to be there. despite all of his best efforts we did manage to get him weighed inbetween all the commotion and i’m glad to say olliver has gone from being just under 20lbs to now weighing 28lbs to a lot of people that wouldn’t seem like much but after almost two years fighting to get him to gain weight at last we have succeeded. 

he has now been discharged from the dietitians but he will remain on the waiting list to see a specialist about his lack of development and his behaviour. 

it’s safe to say i am one very tired mumma today and i can not wait to get in to my bed and go to sleep.
