My heart’s in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart’s in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer;
Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
My heart’s in the Highlands, wherever I go.
Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North,
The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth ;
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
Farewell to the mountains, high-cover’d with snow,
Farewell to the straths and green vallies below;
Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods,
Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.
My heart’s in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart’s in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer;
Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
My heart’s in the Highlands, wherever I go.
— Robert Burns, 1789

Third map of the series dedicated to Scotland. Inverness! Map was published by John Bartholomew & Son in the Survey Atlas of Scotland in 1912, like all maps devoted to Scotland (for Wales and England gonna change). We will take a short trip through the fabulous Highlands and Loch Ness. We will make our first stop at a place called Callender or rather, Trossachs Visitor Centre. Our next stop is one of the lookouts at Glencoe, West Highlands for a great view of the Three Sisters, three craggy hills next to each other. Spean Bridge is a village in Kilmonivaig County, Highlands. The village takes its name from Highbridge across the River Spin on General Wade's military road between Fort William and Fort Augustus, not from the 1819 Telford Bridge which carries the A82 over the river at the centre of the village.
the final point of our journey and will now take a boat ride across Loch Ness.
0:00 Trossachs Visitor Centre, Callender
1:40 Three Sisters, Glencoe
2:44 Spean Bridge
3:29 The Commando Memorial
3:59 Loch Ness boat tour

Expanding Horizons: How Free Market Policies Energise Scotland’s Remote Communities
The Unseen Benefits of Free Market Policies in Scotland's Remote Areas Hello, dear readers! In today's post, we're venturing into the highlands and islands of Scotland, areas often perceived as distant from the bustling economic activities of the central belt. Yet, it is here that free-market policies have quietly fostered unique opportunities and growth, enriching local communities and showcasing the universal applicability of economic freedom. The free market, often discussed in the context of large-scale economics, plays just as vital a role in the sustainable development of remote areas. In Scotland's less accessible regions, free-market principles have encouraged entrepreneurship by reducing barriers to business creation and expansion, allowing local talents to flourish and markets to diversify. Take, for example, the burgeoning craft industry in the Scottish Highlands. Local artisans and small-scale manufacturers have found great success, often reaching global markets thanks to platforms that champion free enterprise and technological advancement. By engaging with a worldwide audience, these businesses bring much-needed economic diversification and resilience to their communities. Furthermore, local tourism has thrived under policies that favour business flexibility and innovation. Small businesses, from boutique hotels to adventure sports providers, have benefited from the freedom to tailor their offerings to niche markets, creating unique experiences that draw international and domestic visitors alike. The connectivity improvements in these areas — a product of policies that encourage investment in infrastructure — have also been crucial. Better roads, digital access, and transport links mean that businesses in remote areas are no longer as isolated from major markets as they once were, bridging the gap between rural and urban economic opportunities. Thus, as we champion free-market policies, let's remember their capacity to transform not just national economies but also to empower the smallest communities, proving that freedom and entrepreneurship can thrive in every corner of Scotland. Thank you for joining today's exploration into how free-market principles help unlock potential in Scotland's most remote areas. Warm regards, Alastair Majury *Perspectives Unbound* --- *Stay tuned to Perspectives Unbound for more insights into how freedom and economic policies influence diverse narratives in Scotland and beyond.*

Natalie Clark presents: Nothing Left To Lose
Calm and peacefull music for your soul
L.A. based Scottish singer/songwriter, Natalie Clark, is set to release the 3rd single from her upcoming debut album on DVG Records - October 25th.
Nothing Left to Lose is the 3rd song from Clark’s forthcoming album which she wrote and also co-produced with L.A. based producer Todd Spadafore (Wu-Tang Clan, Little Big Town, DJ Khalid). The song re-visits her acoustic roots and is a departure from the full productions of Clark’s last two releases. With the main focus being the vulnerability and honesty of the lyrics, Clark leaned on stripped back vocals and harmonies to tell the story.
instagram
Clark says of the song, “it’s for anyone who’s experienced fear and anxiety, whether in social situations or with facing your dreams and hopes, or feeling it’s too late..... it’s never too late. It IS possible to face those fears head on and go ALL IN. Now is the time!”
BIO:
SCOTTISH SCHOOL TEACHER LANDS RECORD DEAL IN L.A - Natalie Clark's journey from classroom to stage began with a spontaneous singing request from Sir Richard Branson! Her blossoming music career was set in motion, leading her from Scotland to Los Angeles where she has just signed a recording contract for her debut album.
Scottish school teacher Natalie Clark learned the power of taking the bull by the horns when her life took a dramatic u-turn one fateful day while attending a BBC Radio 1 Academy event hosted by Nick Grimshaw. Guest speaker Richard Branson spontaneously invited Clark to sing onstage, and, accepting his challenge, she charged her powerhouse vocals and stunned everyone with her original song Weakness.
“That was absolutely and utterly stunning,” Branson proclaimed.”No backing band, no musicians, no forewarning.”
This lesson in carpe diem - and the resulting headlines in the UK - at last set the ball in motion for Natalie Clark’s music career. She left teaching and her hometown in Scotland, and headed to sunny Los Angeles to pursue her musical dreams.
Since moving to the States, Natalie has opened festivals, toured the country, and was selected as a Mercedes Benz KTLA "Artist to Watch”. Natalie was featured in the Mercedes Benz commercial campaign which included performances at the famous Roxy on Sunset, and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. She was handpicked to open for the Grammy award winning Indigo Girls tour and has received acclaim from multi-platinum artists such as Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton. Natalie was named a ‘Hot 100 Live Artist’ in Music Connection Magazine and her music is featured in several Netflix shows and on the soundtrack of a feature film. Natalie’s song 'Ready to Roll' won 'BEST ORIGINAL SONG' at the Austin Under the Stars Film Festival. Richard Branson even wrote a series of articles about her music and journey since their magical encounter.
Having landed a record deal, Natalie’s debut album is set for release, with her first single, ‘A Place Called Home’ coming out this summer on DVG Records.
For this Scottish firebrand, life is an adventure, and she invites you along for the ride!
