On the food poisoning diet 🥰 Super ripe bananas and white bread 🍞 😍 Aside from trying to keep my gut from killing me, I can explain a little of my research gig: right now I've been running map analyses to test the hypothesis that UNESCO heritage sites on international borders are not just products of contested territory but possibly constitutive of shared identity. They tell us all at once about land use, history, population density, conflict, eurocentrism, commerce, diversity, etc.! On an academic note, my research advisor has sent me multiple emails to apply for the 4+4 Denmark PhD scheme and I am trying to remain strong, but flattery really is persuasive 😂 And they pay so well here... spray me with a water bottle please 🙏

A couple of GIs pass by a restaurant and bar in Times Square with a sign in the window reading. "This is a raided premises," September 24, 1954. The police department was carrying out planned raids in this area, where servicemen mingle with other visitors.

anytime I get reminded of Like Ghosts In Snow, I want to like… go back to you and edit the whole thing. Definitely edit out any use of “Y/N” because reading that makes me want to SCREAM.
But I’m certain there’s ubiquitous mistakes with my grammar littered everywhere. Same with Thorns, but editing Thorns sounds like a nightmare.
I hold Like Ghosts In Snow so dear to my heart, but oh god, I was such a little baby writer when I started on it. It’s a miracle it gained a following—it made me love writing it all the more.
That was one fic I was thinking about turning into a novel, though, so if I ever return to it, it would probably be with original characters + making Aizawa’s (or rather, his character’s) adoption of the MC make more sense 😂😂😂

yes i have no bed frame and my rain drenched clothes on the floor but a few hours ago I found out I got a research position on a UNESCO-funded project! I'll be mapping border-split heritage sites and borderland shared practices for a less nation-bound understanding of shared culture

Three views of the Richibouti River in New Brunswick. The True Colour image, the Normalised Differential Water Index, and the Normalised Differential Vegetation Index. These each show interesting bits of information about the area, but I just posted them up because I like how they look. Sentinel 2 is an optical satellite which provides colour imagery at 10m for some bands. This makes it really useful, because it has a pretty good resolution. The NDWI is wonderful because it shows areas that are wetter, which means that it highlights specific areas, and I have used it to highlight wet spots and waterbodies. The NDVI can highlight vegetation health, but also areas without vegetation.
