The shooting in Jacksonville, FL exemplifies the unified struggle that the Black and Jewish communities face. The shooter wore a swastika, one of his firearms was engraved with a one, and beforehand he wrote an antisemitic and racist journal for the police to find (similar circumstances for the mall shooting in May in which the shooter also had Nazi tattoos, and the Christ Church shooting, in which he was active on Nazi sites and wrote an antisemitic/racist manifesto). Neo-Nazism has become a full epidemic, and the Jewish and Black communities are the ones targeted the most.
Jewish communities, as we always have and always will, firmly stand with Black communities who are still currently reeling from this attack.

I'm not American, but I've been following the Southern California wildfires closely. My thoughts go out to all the victims. Check out how you can help here, or how to get help if you're one of those affected here.
But today I want to talk about drone activities in wildfire stricken areas.
I've seen aerial photos depicting the aftermath of the LA wildfires going around online aviation communities. I browsed through the instagram account of the original poster, they are a professional photographer documenting the ongoing disaster to garner attention for the victims and the first responders working 24/7 on the ground. Their drone photos seem to be a misguided attempt at citizen journalism.
But before I could fully react to this piece of information, news came out that a drone collided with a firefighting aircraft.
The aircraft involved is C-GQBE, a Canadair CL-415 Super Scooper sent in by the government of Québec to provide aerial firefighting aid. It collided with a civilian drone while on an air attack mission in the afternoon of Jan 9, resulting in a small punctured hole on the leading edge of one of its wings. Luckily, the drone didn't hit any major component crucial to flight safety, it merely damaged the skin, and no life was lost in this incident.
Tumblr media
It may seem like easily fixable, but aerial firefighting aircrafts go through unusual stress due to rapid and frequent fluctuation of altitude and weight, any damage to their skin has to be repaired and thoroughly examined before they're allowed to be airborne if you don't want them to fall apart mid-air. That's why C-GQBE has been grounded since the incident on Thursday.
One of the major factors hampering fire containment effort is the strong gust preventing firefighting aircrafts from doing their job safely when the fires first started. Firefighting pilots are now working tirelessly to delay the spread of fire as much as they can before the winds pick back up in a few days. Please do not fly unnecessary aircrafts into the air and make their work more difficult. They're racing against the clock here.
Tumblr media
Even if, for some reason, you must deploy drones near the wildfires, please check the FAA Temporary Flight Restriction map beforehand and make sure you never fly into those areas. Otherwise, it would be a federal crime, punishable by up to 12 months in prison and up to $20,000 penalty in civil court.
Firefighting pilots are risking their lives, flying as low as 100 feet above ground to make an effective air drop in hopes of containing the fire. It's not ordinary circumstance.
All the news helicopters congesting the LA airspace have got it. They're livestreaming the whole thing. Your service is not needed in this area.

NEVER get used to the videos of innocent civilians dying. NEVER get used to the videos of innocent civilians being tortured. NEVER get used to seeing the violence that is perpetuated against the Palestinian people everyday. YOU SHOULD NEVER GET USED TO SEEING IT. THESE ARE REAL PEOPLE LOSING THEIR LIVES.

I’m going to be honest with you. I’m not sure how we mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually move forward after witnessing genocide and collective punishment occur in real time like this. I don’t think we’ll ever forget the powerlessness we feel, the pain, the anger, the sadness. I don’t think anyone will ever be the same, nor should we be.

Defining A Woman
(Transphobes DNI)
To Rishi Sunak.
A genocide in Gaza
A housing crisis
And Global warming.
Just a few items on the long list of things
That you are supposed to help with.
And yet you, prime minister, decided that
“Defining a woman” was the most important one.
The same day I first heard you say
“A man is a man and a woman is a woman”
I had my hair cut off and taped my tits
A coincidence I’ll admit,
But no other coincidence has ever felt so rebellious
My body never felt so right
And your “common sense” was proven wrong by scientists many times over
But we both know you don’t care about science.
You stand up there and claim you’re “protecting the children”
While making a jab in front of the mother of one of our dead trans sisters
I have to ask, was that 16 year old a threat to you?
Brianna Ghey, may she rest in peace.
Requested an apology
That interview answer was the longest no I’ve ever heard
You say our healthcare is damaging to children
Calling us pedophiles and groomers and delusional
Block your ears to actual science
And your own party’s rape and pedophile accusations
And you fail to realise that puberty blockers
Are more reversible than a child’s suicide
And those same symptoms come with the birth control
Prescribed to a 12 year old girl because she has ache.
Only 0.5% of the british population and yet
You act as if our existence is an epidemic
And we both know that’s because ignorance is easier than to admit you’re allowing
A genocide in Gaza
A housing crisis
And global warming
Like a coward, you make a mess
Then point to us as a distraction.
A child of a politician,
I wish the fucking cabbage replaced Liz Truss instead
Because whether we both like it or not
You are our prime minister too.
So fucking act like it.

To those of you who weren't raised Christian, I need y'all to understand that the Bible, if taken fully literally and sprinkled with conspiracy for flavor, is a strong propronent for queerphobia, Zionism, and even anti-semitism. Many of the political figures in the USA right now, especially right-wingers- the ones who want to label transgender folks as pornographic and protests for Palestine as illegal, are devout Christians / Christian nationalists. The kind of Christians who say everyone is made in the image of God in one breath, then practice supremacy and hate in the next.
I'm not saying that all Christians are bad people- although I disagree with many tenets in the Bible, I do believe Christians are capable of being good. What I'm trying to say is that the worldwide civil rights crisis we're seeing now and have seen in the past is inextricably tied to the Bible as the USA views it. Ironically, a book that claims to promote peace and worldwide unity has caused more wars and division than solutions. By the way, all of these wars, according to the Bible, are supposed to lead to the Rapture, in which people who believe in Jesus go to heaven while everyone else suffers the apocalypse on Earth. Also, Jews stay behind to warn everyone in the last days, and only a third of them will actually "convert" and survive.
...Yeah. Some political leaders have sided with genocide all this time, just in not so many words. It's more of a complacency- because if things keep getting worse and worse, they're supposedly closer to the Rapture they so desperately want.
I have been in more churches more times than I can count. Although my conservative family would never want people to die for existing, they accept the Rapture as a difficult part of their faith and actively look forward to Jesus's return. These beliefs trapped me and it was so fucking difficult to get out of them. It hurts to see my half-century-plus parents believing it.
In short, this component of discrimination is so, so important and it needs to be addressed.

really, 1500 Jews killed and you want to “free Palestine” and let me guess, “from the river to the sea”. Can Israel be allowed to exist?!
Israel is an oppressive state that was created in the 1940s! Over 750,000 Palestinian people were forced from their homes in the Nakba. (AP News) Jewish people live in Palestine too and have for hundreds of years. Thousands of Palestinians have died (including Palestinian Jews, Christians, Muslims, and more), there isn't one side to the deaths which is why there should be a ceasefire, and Free Palestine is the direct request for Israel to cease the apartheid laws that they're currently using to oppress people, as well as the active bombings. Israel is currently taking ground from Palestine and intentionally pushing them out, making Palestinians to leave their homes so that Israel can take what they have left.
I personally don't have the answer for what they should do about Israel, but I have personally stakes in that I have Israeli friends who had to decide whether or not they were going to leave Israel (and their families that live there) or serve as an oppressor and to my knowledge, all of them have gotten green cards/ are going for citizenship in other countries because Israel has mandatory military service. I hope this is informative, because that's why my blog says Free Palestine! :D

Politics tw below the cut, don't read if it triggers you! I just needed to get this off my chest too badly, and I've made sure it's tagged accordingly.
Probably the first and only time you will catch me posting about irl politics, the everythingist KKK tramp isn't even in office, but I've already had enough:
Setting aside the
Violation of the Constitution regarding freedom of speech
Deliberately isolating Americans from outside perspectives, people, cultures, education and worldviews
Culling the app having the fastest and widest reach regarding news, true news, not the bullshit headlines I've seen (Right of free press, anyone??)
Blatant censorship wrapped in a 'tHeY aRE stEaLInG yOUr DAtA' as if Facebook hasn't been doing that shit for tale long as time
American billionaires benefiting from slaughtering their biggest competition in the market and able to force more people into underpaid slave jobs
If I see you posting good riddance/people will have to get a true job/onlyfans hoes-bots are gone; I will block you without a second thought.
I am European, online sex worker with an OnlyFans, Fansly and soon to be other paid platforms and a stripper. I've never used TikTok to promote my sites, but I am livid, worried on behalf of those who do/had done. And OF models aren't the only ones suffering from this, millions found a job and advertising on that site from singers, bakers, YouTube reaction channels, all those which are SFW instead of 'being online hoes'. Content creation be it porn or baking a Michelin star worthy dish IS work. Content creation is work and almost everyone gotten used to being entertained for free to the point they don't see it as a job.
Are most of the influencers annoying? Yes. Are there scammers and misinformation? Of course. Does that give a government the right to ban an app where people make a living, have fun or educating others? Absolutely the fuck not. And the reason why there are so many small, medium sized businesses, self employed people is because the economy and the job market had failed them long ago. Was it my dream to become a sexworker? No. Does it give me more flexibility regarding time and income, freedom, freedom of expression, opportunities, ability to set & enforce my boundaries and take breaks when I'm sick/not feeling well without the fear of getting fired than any other 'normal job' would ever have? Yes.
Those currently celebrating the fall of TikTok, because how dare other people be talented, smart, creative, determined, attractive, resilient enough to make a living without two jobs (bitch, it's actually 7-8 being the 1. Model, 2. Makeup artist, 3. Stylist, 4. Social media manager, 5. Editor, 6. Being the PR of the brand and interacting with people, 7. Marketing; and with me the 8. Being a dancer with all the workouts, stretches, practice, high self maintenance that come with it.), those people blindly and willingly signed away their rights in their precious Constitution with applause and malice to see people fall.
Tumblr media
No matter if they are an erotic content creator, or a comedian, or a fitness instructor. But those people, when the holier than thou fascists start really banning free porn will be up in arms yelling about their rights.
And if trump ends up 'saving the day', that's simply a circus act for the people to feel gratitude and secure younger voters. After all, HE wanted this platform gone the most. He does not get the credit of being the 'savior' & I bet the TOS will have drastic changes with censorship if the app ever returns to the Divided States of America.
Anon hate regarding this will be deleted and blocked on sight; I don't entertain strangers for free.

there are three terms i see being thrown around in a ton of posts "supporting" palestinians that don't actually apply. if you're someone who calls israel an apartheid colonial state committing genocide and you either actually believe it or have seen those terms often enough to copy them yourself, i encourage you to think a little more deeply about what these words mean:
apartheid:
this term isn't one that you use for just any form or extent of racial discrimination. i have never seen anyone use this term in reference to the united states, and i think everyone reading this can acknowledge that racism is extremely prevalent and systemic here. in fact, i've only ever seen this term used in regards to south africa and israel. if you use it about israel, think about what policies are in place that make it an apartheid state in your view, and then think about whether any other country in the world has comparable ones. if so, why is israel considered apartheid when others aren't? here is some information about the term and why it does not apply. why israel isn't an apartheid state arab political parties and participation in israeli government
colonial state:
to most people, colonization involves taking land from indigenous peoples so that people who are not indigenous to the area / have no ancestral ties to that area can control it instead. colonial settlers could, in theory, return to a country of ancestral origin in which they would be a cultural majority or be safe and not expect to be subject to hate crimes because they are of majority status. one can acknowledge that palestinians have been displaced without it being colonialism. jewish people are indigenous. yes, even the white ones. no, not all jews are white. if any of these claims seem far-fetched to you, or you don't understand how jewish people can be indigenous to israel, i recommend reading these posts: jewish indigeneity from an archeological perspective history of jewish presence in israel
genocide:
"the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group." if israelis-- even the israeli government, which even "zionists" consider right-wing, fucked, and nonrepresentative of their values-- wanted to wipe out palestinians, we would have seen very different actions from them throughout history. one can acknowledge and mourn the loss of innocent palestinian life during wartime without framing it as something it's not. growth of palestinian population rates
"why does it matter what terms we use? isn't it GOOD to exaggerate or use buzzwords to catch people's attention? how else can we make people understand the true plight of palestinians?"
there is no reason to use terms that don't apply, actually. when so many people parrot these terms without understanding whether or not they're accurate:
1. this actual situation gets muddled, leading to people who have done no research of their own jumping to pick sides because they think they’re rallying against "the new nazis." These people may then support Hamas as “freedom fighters,” attack Jewish people around the world, and celebrate the rape, torture, and death of Israeli women and children because they’re “complicit in colonial apartheid genocide” and no longer considered human.
2. you imply that it is impossible to care about or support civilians affected by war if they’re NOT victims of genocide, colonialism, or apartheid states. Why do you need to rely on these terms to feel empathy for palestinians? If you acknowledged that they’ve been displaced by other indigenous people and are being killed in and affected by war, would your fervor for their cause die out? if so, is that a reasonable response to the realization that the real world isn't cut and dry, and not every conflict has a completely evil side and a side that is completely innocent?
3. ACTUAL instances of genocide, apartheid, and colonialism get watered down. I’ve seen people compare this to the Holocaust, calling Jewish people Nazis. Look back at the resource I linked to above. When you compare steady growth of Palestinian populations with the brutal erasure of ⅔ of the jewish population in europe, you are not only overexaggerating current events, but you’re also saying that the holocaust wasn’t all that bad, actually. To weaponize a people’s own genocide against them is. Gross. Especially when recent events have been catalyzed by Hamas beheading and burning babies–rather reminiscent of the Holocaust–and when people continue to deny that the 10/7 attack even took place. Also. rather. Reminiscent of non-jewish refusal to believe accounts of concentration camps.
similarly, when you water down terms like “apartheid” to mean any form of inequality for racial minorities, you deny the realities of apartheid south africa and imply that that’s “pretty much the same” as racism experienced in other countries around the world
hamas calling for jewish (NOT ISRAELI) death
perspective on equating israel to apartheid south africa
thank you for reading. this is not a call to abandon support for palestinians. this is a call to think about the terms you use and the misinformation you've seen.
