Democrats need to learn when to double down instead of apologizing or saying they were joking. Stop correcting yourself when you call Republicans bastards. And if you say you're happy when Tesla stock crashes and Republicans point out that your state has money invested in that stock, instead of apologizing, you should thank them for bringing it to your attention so you can divest from the stock of a company owned by a Nazi, since taxpayer money shouldn't go to support Nazism.

Trump Signs Executive Order Declaring Fact That Canada Calls Their Presidents ‘Prime Ministers’ Stupid
Tumblr media
WASHINGTON, D.C. - As Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney just announced a snap election for April 28th, many Americans have been left confused as to why Canadians calls their presidents “Prime Ministers” for some reason. This was so weird to Americans that president Donald Trump decided to take it upon himself to sign an executive order declaring the fact that Canadians call their presidents “Prime Ministers” to be stupid.
“It’s such a stupid title,” Trump told reporters while holding the order up. “I mean, who would actually want to be called a Prime Minister? It doesn’t invoke leadership at all. Why don’t they just refer to their leader as the president like a normal person? The term ‘president’ actually invokes authority, which is why I’m well known across the world, unlike Prime Minister what’s his face, who has zero search results on Truth Social.”
Although the executive order is merely a declaration and won’t have any negative impact on Canada as a country, Trump says that it echoes the sentiment that a lot of Americans have of Canada right now.
“We want Canada to know that the entire U.S. thinks it’s ridiculous that they use such a stupid name for their leaders,” Trump said. “Like two whole words when you could’ve just used the word president. Like okay fancy panties, no need to make things so confusing.”
The Canadian government has yet to issue a public response to Trump’s executive order, although political analysts believe that it’ll make America’s already shaky relationship with Canada even more rocky.

Briana Boston faces terrorism charges and CEOs are getting free therapy
Tumblr media
Briana Boston is a 42 year old mother of three from Florida who is under house arrest for expressing her frustration at her insurance (which she PAYS for) who denied her claim. She owns ZERO guns and doesn't have a criminal record.
She was originally held in prison for $100,000 bail. They have not dropped the charges and she is under house arrest even after widespread backlash.
They are trying to charge her with terrorism. They want her to spend 15 years in prison.
They are calling her a Luigi Mangione copycat. As if she killed someone. She made a indirect, not at all credible threat.
Meanwhile...
Tumblr media
I want every woman who has ever faced threats online, stalking, etc to bring this Briana Boston up at every opportunity. Every time you were told by police that there was nothing they could do, know that they not only CAN do something, but they WILL do something, just not for you.

This tweet takes you to the top of a thread that lists all the changes, like replacing gendered terms like husband and wife with spouses, same-sex marriages have full legal status, same-sex couples can adopt and use IVF and create pre-nups, just a whole lot of steps to make them equal.
It's all just so amazing and joyous. They hosted a parade for the newlywed couples!

Protests continue in Turkey over detention of Erdogan’s rival
Thousands of people in Istanbul, Ankara and other Turkish cities have taken to the streets to protest the detention of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on Wednesday.
Immediately after mayor’s detention, the country’s authorities banned street protests for the next four days, and Istanbul police blocked some of the city’s streets and the central Taksim Square. Nevertheless, thousands of protesters gathered outside City Hall, who were addressed by Ozgur Ozel, leader of the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP). He called the mayor’s arrest a “coup attempt” and accused the country’s incumbent president Recep Tayyip Erdogan of seeking to break İmamoğlu with the “cudgel of justice” for fear of losing the election to him.
The CHP leader called on Turkish residents to come out in general protests on March 23. He said:
“This Sunday we – thousands, millions – will be on the streets. And March 23 will be the harbinger of early elections.”
On March 19, several hundred people gathered outside the police station where the mayor was taken, chanting, “The day will come when (Erdogan’s) Justice and Development Party will be called to account.” The protest took place on the campus of Istanbul University. Police used riot gear to disperse the students.
In Ankara, several hundred people gathered outside the Middle East Technical University (METU), raising anti-government slogans. Police warned them against holding an unauthorised demonstration and called on them to disperse, local TV channel said. In response, the protesters pelted police with stones and five officers were slightly injured.
Later, one group of protesters marched to the Justice Ministry building, while another group headed to the city’s central square. Police fired tear gas to disperse the demonstrators. Protests also took place in Izmir and Trabzon.
İmamoğlu was detained in the morning of March 19. A total of 106 suspects have been issued arrest warrants as part of the investigation launched against the Istanbul municipality.

So, brief civics lesson, guys.
The power of the purse is Congress’s power to choose how the government spends its money. The president is supposed to spend money in accordance with Congress’s directives. The president does not have the right to refuse to spend money on the things Congress says he will.
This is one of the most basic, important powers of Congress, explicitly spelled out in the U.S. Constitution as a power reserved for Congress and Congress alone. It’s one of the main checks on the executive branch.
Trump’s freeze on federal grants is explicitly unconstitutional and illegal, and is an unabashed attempt to seize the power of the purse for himself, which would grant the US president an unparalleled amount of power over the U.S. government.

Thank you Yemen 🇾🇪
Despite being one of the poorest countries in the world, they showed more empathy than those so-called civilized developed countries.

One thing about Americans voting for Trump is that they didn't fuck up just their country but fucked up the whole world too.
Even CHINA abstained from voting on this and yet USA voted against, alongside Russia.
