Let's be clear China didn't win. Their leaders won same as our leaders and the UK ones and any Western nation you pick. There families are taken care of and provided for.

The governments of the nations have struggled for the last decade to make sure no one examined why they fought. We live in a dystopia, leaders use the idea of a war thousands of miles away to convince ourselves we need to be prepared. They are the enemy who wishes to cross an ocean and rip away our way of life. They wish to force all others to their religion and their governance.

You could pick any number of 15 countries whose current perception of the world and propaganda match these ideas. And they're all just to keep the system moving. If we're not all distracted by work and useless entertainment, then we'll start to ask the real questions.

Like how are we supposed to fix the climate. How are we supposed to survive the oncoming resource shortages that have resulted from 150 years of industrial overuse. We're running out of clean water to grow crops. We're all running out of time and they're hoping they can run out the clock on top.

Cross-Cultural Communication might destroy the global mythology of the United States of America as the wealthiest country with the most freedom. Maybe with unfettered access to each other, the hard-won reputation of American Exceptionalism will finally collapse and the veil will lift?

It feels like maybe our oligarchs didn’t want us to communicate with China not only because we will realize our position, but also because they will realize theirs.

It feels like they don’t want China knowing they’ve got it better than us. Like they don’t want Chinese citizens to rethink whether coming to America is a good idea after all. Like maybe the reason they don’t want China to have our data because they don’t want China to put two and two together and find out Americans are depressed unhealthy broke and pissed. Like they don’t want China to find out they won a long time ago.

ByteDance Threatens to Leak Supreme Court Justice’s TikTok Watch History if App Not Unbanned in the U.S.

BEIJING, CHINA - In the aftermath of TikTok’s banning in the United States, TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, has given the Supreme Court an ultimatum: either reinstate TikTok in the U.S., or they’ll publicly release the TikTok watch history of every single Supreme Court Justice.

“We believe that everyone has the right to consume whatever type of content they want,” a U.S. representative for ByteDance told reporters Saturday. “But if the Supreme Court continues to suppress TikTok, then we’ll have no choice but to inform the public that one of their Justice’s spent an entire weekend watching TikTok thirst traps on repeat. If they want transparency from us, then we’ll give them transparency.”

In an emergency Supreme Court hearing, Chief Justice Justice John Roberts denied that any of the Justice’s had TikTok on their cell phones, stating, “The Supreme Court is a government body and does not engage in petty internet drama.” However, during the whole hearing, Roberts’ was seen anxiously scrolling through his phone, presumably trying to figure out ways to delete the watch history off of his phone.

Eventually, the idea of classified government watch habits proved to be too much of a threat to the country, and TikTok was quietly unbanned in the U.S. early this morning.

Briana Boston faces terrorism charges and CEOs are getting free therapy

Briana Boston is a 42 year old mother of three from Florida who is under house arrest for expressing her frustration at her insurance (which she PAYS for) who denied her claim. She owns ZERO guns and doesn't have a criminal record.

She was originally held in prison for $100,000 bail. They have not dropped the charges and she is under house arrest even after widespread backlash.

They are trying to charge her with terrorism. They want her to spend 15 years in prison.

They are calling her a Luigi Mangione copycat. As if she killed someone. She made a indirect, not at all credible threat.

Meanwhile...

I want every woman who has ever faced threats online, stalking, etc to bring this Briana Boston up at every opportunity. Every time you were told by police that there was nothing they could do, know that they not only CAN do something, but they WILL do something, just not for you.

I’m just here to remind everyone once again that we can’t stop protesting and boycotting and spreading the word for Palestine, even if it’s been a while. The people in power (mainly the Israeli and US governments) are relying on us losing steam.

And I do want to mention that a small bit of hope to be found among all of this is that things aren’t losing steam. I still see dozens of posts about Palestine every day, I see footage of protests almost every day, and the boycotts are working. I just want to encourage everyone that we just need to keep it up! I’ve seen so many social issues fade out over time, a week of outrage and then things settle down, but that isn’t the case here and I really respect everyone who’s still posting and protesting and seeking out information to end this once and for all. Focus on that hope, and use it to keep going :)

Secretary General António Guterres to appoint a senior coordinator “with responsibility for facilitating, coordinating, monitoring, and verifying in Gaza, as appropriate, the humanitarian nature” of all assistance, and demands that “the parties to the conflict cooperate with the coordinator to fulfill their mandate without delay or obstruction.” • ... “immediate and unconditional” release of the hostages. It also demands that “all parties to the conflict comply with their obligations under international law ... including with regard to the conduct of hostilities and the protection of civilians and civilian objects.” • It reiterates the council’s “unwavering commitment” to a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians and “stresses the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority.” (12/22/23 | Source: WaPo)

Although the resolution's language was toned down, this is a sign of progress. While such measures are long overdue and should have been honored from the start, we must do everything possible to meet the urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza and relieve unfathomable suffering.

And it really sucks since driving one of those cars is super dangerous, but it's even more dangerous for other people, especially if they're in a smaller car. Since it would be more safe to be another driver if they ALSO have a 'light truck,' everyone is caught in a cycle of getting bigger and bigger cars. All of which are extremely dangerous and have made being a pedestrian even more dangerous."

Side note I'm keeping beneath the cut since it's relevant to US folks only: if you're really determined to help Palestine, vote for Dr. Cornel West, Ph.D. for President of the United States.

He's the most openly vocal about a free Palestine and is the only candidate who has demonstrably shown he is the most committed and prepared to immediately cease US support to Israel.

Joe Biden isn't going to cave if he gets re-elected. We all know that. Voting third party is a lot less risky than you've been taught - the two party system can replace one or both parties with new parties if they lose public favour.

We have both the people and the ability to unseat the Democratic party and install Socialism, and between Socialism and Republicans, Socialism is going to lock in place immediately and become the dominant political force in America.
