The bulletin goes on to warn of “users online wanting to counter ‘corporate greed’” as well as “growing negative sentiment around conglomerates, the wealthy, and executive staff at private and public organizations.” Setting aside the yeah-no-shit factor, the report provides rare insight into how the government threat machine stokes fear among law enforcement agencies across the country. The document is one of a flurry threat reports quietly circulated to law enforcement across the country by a sprawling network of little-known intelligence organizations created in response to 9/11. Called fusion centers, groups like the New York State Intelligence Center were tasked with fighting terrorism, which alleged the killer Luigi Mangione was charged with. Today, there is at least one fusion center in all 50 states (even Wyoming, home to the Wyoming Information Analysis Team.)

Something I find very interesting about this CEO assassination is that the guy who did it has basically become an American hero.

They're probably quite worried about what will happen when they catch this guy, especially with the level of public support he has. If they catch him alive and he gets to air his grievances, he could unite the entire country against the private healthcare system. It could go to trial and result in jury nullification, which would basically send a message to the American public that catching a rich body comes without consquences.

If they kill him to keep his mouth shut, I'd say people will burn cities to the ground, and it could potentially provoke even more anger against private health insurance. In a powder keg, it only takes one person lighting the match.

I know it sounds over the top, but a figurehead is a powerful thing, and that's what this shooter is. The rich understand it. That's why Blue Cross just magically decided they were going to pay for anesthesia again. Those dead-eyed psychopaths were going to take everything they could until someone shot that guy and that's the gospel truth.

Keep the hate fire burning. Watching their fear is the closest I've come to knowing joy since the Bush administration.

He's innocent, NYPD definitely planted evidence because they caught the wrong guy

just to clarify. because this is the piss on the poor website who needs nuance spelled out for them like babies and ive gotten more than one pissy anon about it. my commentary on this post is not the most well thought out and edited and re-written opinion nor am i saying that Mangione is completely innocent and is being falsely accused/framed by the NYPD.

my main points were that a) people need to read media publications about this case critically (which is true of all media, not just this case), b) to not immediately martyr him as the shooter until he's had a fair trial, and c) that the nypd sucks and is corrupt as hell and i would not be surprised if they planted evidence, regardless of mangione's actual innocence or guilt.

yes, he very well could be guilty. that would not shock me based on what i've seen. however. he deserves a fair and unbiased trial regardless. stop jumping down my throat about me being a crazy conspiracy theorist about his innocence.
