Does This Look Good On Me?
(Making Your Final Fantasy Partner Look At Your New Outfit)
(GN!Reader)
TW: Suggestive
Cloud Strife:
âCloud Cloud!â You repeat enthusiastically, throwing your hands up and down trying to get your boyfriend's attention.
âYes? What's so important that you're this excited?â He says tilting his head confused.
âI got a new outfit I want you to see me in!â You smile clapping your hands together.
âSure. Go change.â He motions with his hands. You nod and then he grabs your shoulder. âYou're not gonna change infront of me?â He gives a slight pouty look which you fluster and slap his hand away.
âYou're not that lucky today.â You head to the bathroom to change into your new outfit. You come out in the beautiful garb and Cloudâs pupils dilate for a split second as a small blush lathered his face.
âYou look pretty.â He averts his eyes trying not to show his blush to you.
âThank you! I love this outfit so much~!â You twirl a bit.Â
âYou look better in my arms though.â
Sephiroth:
âSephiroth!â You pop out from behind trying to get your boyfriend's attention.
âWhat is it this time?â He says looking at some paperwork clearly agitated from the amount.
âI got a new outfit and I want you to see me in it!â You say excitedly.
âAs you can tell Iâm busy.â Sephiroth flaps his hand away.
âPlease Sephiroth?â You say pleadingly with puppy eyes. He sighs as his mouth parts.
âFine. Make it quick.â He rubs his temples while you nod and rush to the bathroom quickly coming out in the outfit.
âWhat do you think?â You smile cheekily as you see Sephiroth flinch at the sudden change. His ears go a light pink which he covered with his long hair so you couldnât see.
âItâs alright but. Youâd look better without it on.â
Tifa Lockhart:
âTifa!â You say hugging her from behind excitedly.
âOh! Yes darling?â She says with a sweet smile surprised by your sudden enthusiasm.
âI want you to see me in a new outfit I recently bought!âÂ
âOh? Iâd love to! Though you look good in anything really.â She smirks while playing with a strand of your hair.
âYou're one to talk.â You say back making her blush while heading to the bathroom to change. You come back and give her a full view. âWell what do you think?â You smile excited for her response.
âWoah.â She says softly eyes widened blushing. âYou're so beautiful.â You blush at that statement and rapidly shake your hands in denial.
âTifa!â You say flustered. She smirks and opens her mouth.
âI just wanna kiss you all over.â

Stupid/lovely/decidedly weird zakkura things because Iâm in one of those moods todayâŚ
Cloud absolutely has kicked Zack in the shins in order to get to his lips.
They sleep pretty much curled together. Mostly itâs Cloud on his back with Zack passed out across him, sometimes itâs spooning. Either way is fine (Cloud will never admit to liking being held.)
Zack once spat gum into Clouds mouth and Kunsel slapped him.
They joke about Kunsel being the third person in their relationship, but a lot of people donât know they are joking.
Zack is aware that people call him clouds âscary dog privilegeâ. Heâs not willing to correct them. After Nibelhiem he IS the scary dog anyway.
Nobody expects Cloud to be a catagory five clinger⌠but he is. Donât touch him if your names not Zack though. He will punch you.
Zackâs pretty chill about people flirting with Cloud. Unless itâs Roche then the Buster is embedded in the wall and Roche suddenly has bangs.
Cloud is also chill about flirting. Unless itâs Scarlet and then Kunsel has to hold him back.
Zackâs short lived romantics overture with Aerith is a source of great amusement for both Aerith and Cloud. Zack is in endless agony. He should never have let them meet.
In a world where Zack lives people call him Clouds carer. When he gets annoyed about it Tifa says âlet me frame it better. You care so Cloud doesnât have too.â Zack canât deny that itâs true.
Zack and Clouds Gondola date got them banned from the Godola wheel⌠no no, you misunderstand. Zack spun them so much he nearly unscrewed the pod from the wheel.
Cid once asked Zack what Cloud was like in bed and Zack scowled at Cloud and said âelusiveâ.
Barret has walked in on the two of them trying to get Zack into the Corset Andrea gave Cloud⌠he walked back out again.
Zack once used the buster sword like a cricket bat on Genesis for moving Clouds hair out of his face whilst evil monologuing. That was the day Zack Fair learned that - evil, horrible, good for naught, - degrading Genesis Rhapsodos had memorised Angealâs Dreams and Honour speech word for word like it was part of Loveless.
Cloud is the perpetrator of cute aggression. He has bitten Zack unwarranted many MANY times.
Zack is not above spraying Cloud in the face with water when he has an âaccidental sociopathâ moment.
One time Zack forgot the mini spray bottle and instead took Tifaâs glass of water from her hands and threw it in clouds face yelling âARE YOU CALM YET?â Cloud did, in fact, calm down.
When Cloud gets Mako sickened in Corel Zack plays with his hair until he comes round⌠he woke up with random braids everywhere.
Vincent is convinced Zack has a summon trapped inside of him. Zack says itâs more likely the pent up anxiety of dating a Strife.
When they get to the moogle Village Zack cries happy tears over Clouds moogle form. Seriously heâs incapacitated by crippling laugh crying for an hour.
These are so dumb.

childhood friends and reward kisses with cloud strife â¤ď¸
cloud didnât mind the silence so much, especially considering his chest was not filled with words but with a quietude that only the sound of a quickened heartbeat thumping between his ribs could interrupt. he almost savored it at times, knowing he couldnât be annoyed with something that didnât exist.
this wasnât one of those moments. you patching him up from his recent scuffle with an abundance of shinraâs lackeys and advanced machines. cloud could have easily done this himself, you know that, yet you insisted to do it for him anyways. he didnât say much in return besides a small, âthanksâ as he limped over to your sofa.
it only wasnât a moment because cloud didnât mind you, whether you talked or not. although, even if he wouldnât outright say it, he did find it a little sweet that you still remember small bits of your childhood together that you still recall to this day.
and yet your soft laugh breaks him out of his reverie, a chuckle escaping you and into the air â which almost makes him forget about the dull stinging echoing on the epidermis his jaw while you pressed alcohol soaked cotton balls against it.
you start up again as you brain whirs in search for more memories. âdo you remember. . .â you trail off, lips twisting as you try to think of a funny moment. cloud watched for a second or two before your eyebrows raise with newfound idea. you smile again, âwhen we found that cat in the alleyway? the one that tifa gave some bread to?â
âoh, yeah,â he says in response. he remembers trailing after the two of you, hearing the distant cooing of your voices as you had crouched down to see a small kitten hiding away in the dark alley.
cloud couldnât help but let a small amused huff of air puff through his nostrils at your antics. he had to give it to you, you were pretty good at taking his mind off of the pain.
âginger,â he said blankly.
you looked up at him â slender, mako eyes already glued on you. quirking a brow, you waited for him to give you more context. âginger?â
âginger. thatâs what you had named the cat,â he added. your mouth form a small âoâ shape with the realization. you softly laughs. âright, it had a bright orange mark on its forehead.â
he hums in agreement. at times like this there would be some memories he couldnât remember, even when you blatantly described them with such detail. it was nothing if on the horizon, only blurry shapes and sounds that came with these memories. he was glad you still recall them, though, a greater comfort than youâd think.
âthis might hurt a bit,â you say. his eyes flit down to where your hands roam over his arm, the thick laceration evident in the flesh of his arm as you hover a needle and thread over it. âdo you want someââ
âyou didnât want to let go of the cat when we had to go home, even when your parents wouldnât let you keep it,â he keeps going. you notice how his eyes clench shut with a furrowed brow as he cuts you off.
you cock your head.
and itâs almost like he senses it, because when he opens his eyes, he squints at you. âkeep going,â he mutters, before closing his eyes again. you realize what heâs doing; keeping the conversation to take his mind off the sting of the sanitizer and the prick of the sterilized needle.
cloud hears you chuckle again. âyeah, said the cat carried diseases.â
he huffs, âit just wanted a home.â
the rest of the time is spent with mindless chatter, you both lose track of how long the procedure goes on. talking about tales of what he remembers back in nibelheim, talking about how different things are now â and before he knows it, you squeeze his hand reassuringly and gently tap his knee.
âweâre all done,â you say. âdo they feel alright?â
he lifts his leg and moves it around, craning his neck and checking the rest of his injuries to ensure that thereâs minimal pain left behind other than achy bones. âyeah, itâs fine.â
âlook at me, donât even know how to stitch someone up yet i got it perfect the first try,â you grin.
âyou didnât know how toââ
âdonât you think i deserve a kiss for how amazing i did?â you beam, half hoping that heâd forget about the fact that you know little about stitches and medical assistance besides fundamental healing magic.
he pauses, making a small, choked sound of surprise at your proposal of a reward. you tilt your head with a smile before puckering your lips out dramatically â making cloud scoff. hesitantly, his head leans forward as his eyes flutter closed. he can hear his heartbeat thump in his ears as a gloved hand comes to grasp the underside of your jaw, a soft gasp escaping you when he leans in and pressed a quick peck to your lips.
it was only for a second, but when he pulls away, thereâs stars in your eyes and he canât help but huff amusedly at the sight.
his eyes fixate on your figure even when you get up, skipping away to put the medical supplies back in their proper cabinets in the bathroom â leaving him to sit in silence as he waits for you to come back.
cloud enjoys his own company more now that he can include another, the quiet no longer so comforting unless youâre in it. he is on the cusp of insensibility and it only fills him with confusion. maybe you use magic or maybe youâre somehow manipulating him. he doesnât know. cloud doesnât know anything anymore except that he cannot sit on your sofa the same way he did before without feeling the phantom warmth of your hands lingering on his.

I finally got to the part of the FF7 remake with Aerith, who was never my favorite. I've been trying to figure out what about her puts me off, and I'm coming up blank, but it's probably something also that put me off her when I was thirteen.
I was going to hypothesize that it was a weird sort of tradwife energy I get from her â that is, she's a character designed to appeal to men who want that â but then I went looking for some discourse (always a mistake) and people are saying that Tifa is the tradwife?
Do I not know what this word means? Am I forgetting major parts of FF7?
My understanding was that "tradwife" meant "traditional wife" and was like ... happy domesticity and staying home with the children to cook and clean while your spouse goes off to work, traditional gender role stuff, conservative clothes, stuff like that. Aeris wears a pink dress and sells flowers, while Tifa fulfills the classic male fantasy of "childhood friend who joined an ecoterrorist cell", which was what always appealed to me about her.
I think it's fine to want a domestic role, and I was a stay-at-home dad doing the childcare, cooking, etc. for many years, which is different in that it's non-traditional and no one was making me wear an ankle-length dress. That archetype of woman, to the extent it even existed twenty-five years ago, has never appealed to me though. It was my understanding that to the extent Aeris was supposed to be appealing, it was in that direction, particularly because her role in the party as a healer.
I think my mistake was following links that led to Twitter, which is easily the worst of the hellsites, but now I'm just confused about how people are using words and/or interpreting characters.
(I don't think she's in the part of the remake I'm playing, but my favorite of the girls at thirteen was Yuffie, because the only thing that beats ecoterrorism is an obnoxious ninja/thief. Sadly, I think I'll probably just find her annoying this go around, if or when she shows up.)

Hi! Sorry for bothering you. Is it alright if I want to make a request?
Like, where the Turks+Rufus, Sephiroth and maybe others that you think relevant, find out that the reader is also an Ancient/Cetra like Aerith but instead of being half-Ancient, the reader is like, fully Ancient. If you understand what I mean. How would they react? What would they do? It can be them being yandere or normal,up to you tho. Again sorry for bothering you.
And sorry if you have hard time understanding this. English isn't my first language đ
.
Hello anon, thank you for the request/scenario. You are not bothering me! Though, I'm sorry to say that I can only do Sephiroth and Rufus for this request as that is too many characters for a scenario (Limit is three) and that I hadn't decided if I want to write for the Turks yet. For the third character... I will do Tifa for this since I hadn't written her yet!
Rufus Shinra: He'd be surprised for sure. He thought there was only one ancient left, and the chances of the company capturing her again were slim to none. So for his darling to be an ancient, he would do his damndest to make sure that they are well-protected. And yes, this means he's going against Shinra's interests to protect them. Even if it means the darling could be Shinra's key to the promised land. They will find another way to it (if it exists) without compromising Darling's identity and safety. I think the only other person who would know about this is Tseng, since he is the loyal right hand of Rufus. He'd be just as dedicated to protecting Darling. Especially since this would certainly bring up memories of the times he watched over Aerith. But this time, this watch will be permanent.
Fluffy Sephiroth: He's honestly amazed as he read about the Cetra during his childhood. Hojo had him study these people in his "free" time. His curiosity would drive him to ask his darling a few questions about it since it'd be interesting to hear first accounts from a legitimate cetra. Still, he is careful not to reduce Darling to their heritage, having firsthand knowledge of what it feels like to be treated like an exotic tool rather than a human being. He'll also keep it a secret, knowing that Hojo would be more than interested in his darling once he finds out. Eventually, he'll make the decision to leave SOLDIER sooner rather than later, in order to protect his darling from a life of experimentation.
Tifa Lockhart: When her darling first told her about their heritage (during their childhood), she told all the other kids in Nibelheim about it. Darling's adoptive parents quickly debunked the "rumor" once it reached the adults, leaving Cloud as the only child who still believed it. Now, as adults, Tifa would feel guilty about it once she learnt more about the Cetra and what Shinra wanted to do with them. She'll approach the darling and apologize for spilling their secret out during their childhood, even though nothing really came about it. But even as darling forgave her and reassured her, Tifa couldn't shake some of the guilt off. So now, she always glances at Darling when the topic of the Cetra comes up, making sure they're fine and their secret stays safe. If someone asks Darling about it, she will definitely jump into the conversation, either by quickly changing the subject or diverting attention to herself to protect Darling.

Cloud is basically a sahm taking care of his and Sephirothâs kids and heâs seemingly content with his role and is a loving mother to all of their children, while Sephiroth is probably training their kid when their old enough to help him protect their mother, and to the kids everything seems to be great, after all their parents both clearly love them all and are clearly happy with each other. However there have been some instances where some of the kids notice that something seems to be wrong with Cloud, there have been times when one of the kids would find Cloud seemingly staring at nothing with what looks like a dead expression on his face and if they manage to snap him out of it heâll just give them his usual warm smile and say that heâs just tired and heâll be fine, sometimes when one of the kids is walking past their parentsâ bedroom theyâll hear Cloud in there crying, bringing up names that none of them have ever heard of before, and is either begging for forgiveness or apologizing for not being strong enough to save any of them, and if they ask about it heâll just give a warm smile and say he was having just a bad dream and heâs fine, around the time Sephiroth tells the kids that their going to have another sibling soon one of them hears Cloud crying in their bedroom again, only heâs saying things like how he doesnât want anymore, and begging to know when heâll finally be satisfied and when asked what he was talking about Cloud will once again give the kid a warm smile and say that they have been hearing things and heâs fine. At one point one their youngest kids shows Cloud a picture they made of their growing family and as Cloud looks at the drawing in his hands he starts shaking, tears running down his face, and he gives a quivering smile and says that itâs beautiful, and when asked if heâs ok Cloud will say that heâs perfectly fine, as tears continue to fall and his smile continues to quiver.
Basically many years after Sephiroth won, killed Cloudâs friends and was seemingly successful in making Cloud his fully obedient/dotting puppet/wife, Sephiroth eventually decides itâs time for them to start having kids(Sephiroth probably uses the Jenova cells in Cloud to make it possible for Cloud to bear their young). But there are still times(though rare) when Cloud has been able to break free from Sephirothâs control but thereâs nothing he can do to stop him and both he and Sephiroth know this. Heâs trapped living with the man who he once admired, and who took everyone he loved from him, and is stuck caring for kids he never wanted and may never love unless heâs under Sephirothâs control
Oh that's good!
I don't think Sephiroth even has to do too much to make Cloud play his role as a dutiful mother, since Cloud seems to have a soft spot for children (case and point with Denzel, since Cloud and Tifa just find an orphan and go "cool, lets adopt him.") Cloud just naturally wants to protect his children, even if sometimes the fact that they're Sephiroth's terrifies him. Besides, Sephiroth is proof that treating a child like some sort of weapon or monster isn't going to end well for anyone, so it's best if Cloud does his best to love his children.
Now as for Cloud sometimes breaking free from Sephiroth's control and the children noticing? I bet Sephiroth has them trained to report right back to him anytime they notice their dear mother acting strangely or being sad. Unbeknownst to the children, they're essentially Sephiroth's little security cameras, reporting back anytime Cloud shows a hint of dissatisfaction or longing for something other than the life he has been forced into.
"...around the time Sephiroth tells the kids that their going to have another sibling soon one of them hears Cloud crying in their bedroom again, only heâs saying things like how he doesnât want anymore, and begging to know when heâll finally be satisfied and when asked what he was talking about Cloud will once again give the kid a warm smile and say that they have been hearing things and heâs fine."
Now that's a wonderfully dark image! Cloud's sanity definitely grows thinner with every new child, and the fact he doesn't have a say in the matter makes it all worse! And as to when Sephiroth will be satisfied? Something tells me he is creating a little army of warriors for himself, and Cloud is going to be the one to bear every single member of that army.
Poor Cloud is going to have a hell of a time explaining away the bruise on his face that appeared the morning after the children reported hearing him crying and begging to know when Sephiroth will be satisfied.

TUMBLR USER ROCKETBIRDIE REBLOGGED MY POST IT IS A DAY OF JOY AND CELEBRATION jndbhjmnh thank you so SO much it really means a lot to me to have such a talented artist appreciate my work! out of curiosity can i ask your opinions about every ff7 party member? i'm always curious to know the fandom's opinion about them :)
OOOUUUAAAAAAA UR SO SWEET!!!!!!! <333 OK here goes nothin!!
CLOUD STRIFE: Most uncomfortably relatable protagonist of all time. Impressively apocalyptic autism. I need him crushed into a fine powder and baked into a disney princess themed birthday cake.
BARRET WALLACE: He deserves so much better. Just, in general. Why did they do that to his character in Advent Children (rhetorical question; we all know the answer.). Actually I think we should just get rid of all of SE's intellectual properties and just have Only Barret.
TIFA LOCKHART: Oh my god. If I had known about Tifa Lockhart as a highly impressionable 5 year old, I would have grown up to be cisgender. I'm gonna leave that one up to interpretation.
AERITH GAINSBOROUGH: Weird girl. Incomprehensible girl. Unnerving girl. Girl who makes you want to become a girl. Girl who I love dearly forever. Aerith is love, Aerith is life.
RED XIII: Lowkey the saddest character in the game. He's just a lonely child, he's already had everything taken from him, he's trying so hard to hold it together. Hang in there Nanaki :(
YUFFIE KISARAGI: I like how they handled her in FF7R, bridging the gap between two very different audience's impressions of her. Boy is she disruptive in some of Rebirth's scenes though. Super curious how part 3 and the Wutai war thing will go down.
CAIT SITH: Middle aged businessman's gambling-addicted fursona by proxy is hands down the funniest concept for a JRPG party member. I want to love him so bad, but I can't take him seriously for the life of me because every scene he shows up in suffers from severe mood whiplash.
VINCENT VALENTINE: I see the appeal. I'm admittedly less invested in the vampiric sexy snatched-waist, and more in the technologically-hamfisted out-of-touch grandpa aspect of his character.
CID HIGHWIND: This man is NOT 32 years old. His asshole-ishness and cartoonishly vulgar dialogue is very important to me and I hope they don't water him down too severely in part 3. ESRB please, please let him say Fuck just once. please

I wouldn't mind holding your hand. I guess.

Cloud Strife x reader Fluff
--
"So, how'd it go?" Tifa asks the second you've walked through the door - it hadn't even closed properly behind you yet. Had she been waiting to pounce? "We don't say hello now?" You raise an eyebrow, shrugging off your jacket. Youâd been dreading her interrogation - it had been a sleepless night.
"Hello.â She grins. âHow'd it go?" She puts her hands down on the counter and leans forward as you approach.
"Fine." You shrug, going to lift up the latch to join her behind the bar, but Tifa is quick â shifting so sheâs now leaning on top of it, blocking your entrance.
âYou pay me to work here, remember?â
âAnd do you see any customers? Anyway, this is important. I donât think you understand how rare it is to go on a date with Cloud Strife. Spill!â
You sigh, sitting down heavily on the stool. Really, you shouldâve known that the brunette would be keen to hear every single detailâŚ
Youâd started working at Seventh Heaven nearly four months ago now. Before Meteor, youâd worked in Wall Market as a cocktail waitress, doing bar tricks to earn tips off a bunch of Shira employees. It was just by chance youâd been walking by when Tifa had put up the help wanted sign in the window. The two of you had got on immediately and your skills honed behind the bar meant you could really start straightaway. The first time youâd seen Cloud walk in, you were immediately attracted to him - the blue eyes, blonde hair, the muscular, toned arms on display... Who wouldnât be? He, however, seemed very indifferent to you, though Tifa disagreed. âHeâs shy. He likes you - I promise."
It felt odd at first when she deemed herself a matchmaker â Cloud and her shared an apartment, with two kids â Denzel and Marlene â she assured you they were strictly platonic and sheâd love to see him without a scowl on his face. Apparently he was always interested when you were working, especially if you were on a closing shift. Now everyone was based in Edge, all sorts frequented the bar. Youâd experienced the same in Wall Market and werenât afraid to cut people off but it was nice to have some sort of muscle around in case anyone became a little out of line. You thought it was Tifaâs doing, as Cloud would always offer up his services on the nights you were responsible for closing, even walking you home afterwards. When youâd thank him, heâd shrug, saying not to think anything of it.
He was chivalrous, youâd reasoned, trying not to get your hopes up there was something more to it, until two nights ago when heâd lingered at the point heâd usually head off when youâd unlocked your front door.
âWait.â You span round on your heels at the sound of his voice, surprised that heâd gone off routine. âErm, would you⌠Would you like to have dinner tomorrow night? With me.â
âWith you?â Youâre stunned.
âForget I said-â
âNo, Iâd love to.â You interrupted, worried youâd blown it.
âOkay. Great. Er, Iâll text you.â And Cloud had then strode off into the night before you could say another word.
Heâd texted - you assumed heâd got your number off Tifa from her string of texts the next morning - saying heâd pick you up from yours at 7, that heâd got a table at a restaurant nearby. Youâd walked past it a few times but never been, and it seemed a popular spot for first dates - intimate, yet not overly fancy. Heâd arrived promptly, saying you looked "nice" and thatâs where things had gone a little downhill. There was nothing that happened to really distinguish this as a date...
âHe didnât get within three feet of me at any time the walk there, or the walk back. I know heâs quiet, but besides asking me if the food was okay, he didnât say much at all at dinner. And then, after heâd walked me home, I said Iâd had a really nice time, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, thinking he was nervous, you know?" Tifa nods. "But then he stepped forward, thanked me and clapped me on the shoulder, before he strode off.â You lay your head down on your arms. âIt was a pity date, Tifa.â
âOkay, Cloudâs more hopeless than I thought,â she pats you gently on the head, âbut it wasnât a pity date. He set it all up because he wanted to take you out, I promise.â
âHe couldâve swung that big sword of his all around him and not hit me, the distance he was keeping.â You continue talking into your arms, your voice muffled.
âIâll talk to him.â
âNo, donât!" Your head shoots up, âThatâll make me look and feel even more pathetic. I donât know what I was thinking. Itâs a wake-up call.â
âYouâre not pathetic. Heâs just shy. Plus, I bet heâs feeling even worse than you are. He was out before I even woke up this morning.â She pauses, grinning slyly. âI did think that he mightâve stayed the night at yoursâŚâ
Your face flushes at that. âWhat?! No. He couldnât get away from me fast enough.â The door opens and the two of you look, you praying it's not Cloud. "Delivery!" A man chirps. "Enough about my dismal love life, okay?" You get to your feet and go to take in the stock.
--
You got home that evening just after 6pm, preparing yourself for a quiet evening and an early night after the sleepless one before. It was surprising when there was a knock at the door an hour or so later â you werenât expecting anyone. You looked through the eyehole and were nervous to see the tell-tale spikes of blonde hair, a nervous expression across Cloudâs face. Had Tifa spoken to him? Oh, ShivaâŚ
You unlock the door, pulling it open cautiously.
âHi.â
âHi.â He smiles, a little awkwardly, but itâs sweet too. âSorry, are you busy? I shouldâve textedâŚâ
âNo, not at all.â You curse inwardly, you couldâve phrased that differently, sound more aloof. âWhat brings you here?â
âUh, yeahâŚâ Itâs then you notice he has a hand behind his back. Itâs quickly whipped out in front of you, holding a small, handpicked bouquet of pink, white and yellow flowers. âI wanted to give you these.â
âCloudâŚâ Your eyes widen, taking in the display. Theyâre the most beautiful things youâve ever seen. âThank you.â You accept them delicately, worried they might wilt instantly if youâre too rough with them.
âWould you like to go for a walk?â
âSure. Let me just put these in water. Erm, do you want to come in?â You step back in anticipation.
âNo, Iâll wait here.â He folds his arms.
âOh, okay,â you nod. âI wonât be long.â You let the door swing close behind you, still holding the flowers so delicately. He delivers you hand-picked flowers but doesnât want to come in? Is he breaking up with you? Can you break up even if you werenât together in the first place? You grab a glass, filling it with water from the tap and placing the small bouquet in gently, before setting it down in the windowsill. You wonder if youâll look at them in the same light when you return.
--
Edge, like its predecessor, had never been a pretty city in the desert. In the early evening though, fairy lights donned by the surrounding buildings cast a nice glow about the place and it was quiet as the two of you strolled through. Cloud hadnât been the most talkative, as usual. Sometimes it looked like he wanted to say something, a comment on the tip of his tongue, but then his mouth would close and heâd nod to whatever nonsense you were spouting to fill the silence. It was at one of those moments when you hadnât particularly been paying attention to where you were walking, catching your foot on an uneven part of the ground. You brace yourself for the impact and the embarrassment, but a hand grabs your own, yanking you back and upright, another hand on the small of your back â Cloud.
âYou okay?â His brow is furrowed in concern. Your heart is thudding at the shock of tripping, or maybe the closeness of you two? Itâs hard to tell.
âY-yeah. Sorry, clumsy,â you know your face is red. âThanks.â The hand from your back falls away, deeming your balance stable enough but your other hand isnât released straightaway. You look down at the appendage in question, Cloudâs hand firmly clasped around yours. His eyes follow what youâre looking at and he seems to realise as his cheeks grow flush in the dim light of dusk, letting go abruptly.
âDo you even like me?â The question slips out of your mouth before you can even think what youâre saying. He looks almost startled by the directness of it.
âI thought the date and flowers made that obvious.â
âThe flowers, okay, but the date and just now⌠Like, I know not everyoneâs keen on public displays of affection, but you donât even want to be within armâs length of meâŚâ
âI wouldnât mind holding your hand. I guess.â Itâs mumbled, his blue eyes directing at the ground.
âWhat?â You wonder if you misheard.
âIâd quite like to, to be honest. Iâm justâŚâ He meets your eyes at this point. âI havenât really done this before.â
âThatâs okay, neither have I.â
He looks sceptical. âThat canât be true.â
âI wasnât exactly surrounded by gentlemen wanting to sweep me off my feet in Wall Market,â you smile. âBesides, it means we can try and work this stuff out together, if you want.â You hold your hand out, hoping he wonât notice the slight tremor.
To your relief, he takes it, deftly lacing his fingers through your own.
âIâd like that.â

Vincent Valentine Week Day 1 - Sweet
I knew this event was happening but not that it started on his birthday lmao Iâm ridiculous. Anyway, I might not get to every day, but Iâm going to try.
Hereâs day 1 - Sweet. Enjoy! (SFW (Shocking I know lmao))
Youâre relaxing at the inn, lying sideways on one of the couches with your socked feet up on the cushions. Youâre surprisingly comfortable, leaning up against Vincentâs side while you read a book. Heâs warm against your back, comforting and he makes a surprisingly good pillow considering how angular he is.
You look up as Tifa walks in, carrying a single shopping bag and looking absolutely bedraggled. She and a few of the others had left early this morning to go out on some sort of job. You didnât know the specifics, just that you definitely didnât want to go. Youâd stayed behind, taking inventory of supplies and considering how she looks, having a much better day.
She smiles at you, radiant as always and you canât help but smile back at her. She reaches into the bag, pulling out a handful of small, wrapped squares. âThe client gave us these as a tip,â she sighs, clearly having wanted money instead. You take what she offers, inspecting them, theyâre dark chocolate after-dinner mints. You donât think thatâs the worst gift ever.
âJob wasnât worth it then?â you ask playfully.
She rolls her eyes and shakes her head, giving a wave and then walking away. Thatâs fine, sheâll tell you all the details later before bed.
You unwrap one of the chocolates, immediately splitting it in half and reaching back to hand Vincent a piece. Heâs told you that he technically doesnât need to eat, but you think itâs ridiculous for him not to. He doesnât like wasting food, or taking rations away from anyone else in the group, but heâll take some of yours when you offer. Youâve decided not to explain the logic that technically, heâs just taking food away from you instead. You donât mind, in fact you like it, itâs a small gesture that you can do for him. Youâre not sure if itâs just a placebo, but you genuinely think he looks healthier since you started sharing food with him. Heâs still impossibly skinny of course, but his skin seems less sallow, the bags underneath his eyes less pronounced.
He doesnât normally eat sweet things, but itâs dark chocolate, so you figure it will be fine. You hear him hum as he shifts against your back, taking the chocolate from between your fingers. You tilt your head back to look up at him, curious to see what he thinks. His face is mostly obscured by his red cloak, but you can see enough of his eyes to be able to gauge his expression.
He places the square into his mouth and chews for a moment as his face immediately lights up. Itâs a subtle expression of course, you donât think anyone else would be able to pick up on how much heâs enjoying it, but you can tell. His eyes are slightly wider, wrinkles at the corners of his eyes turned up slightly. You have never seen him react like this to any other type of food. He must really like it.
He swallows and then turns to look down at you. His face is somewhat upside down, but you can tell that heâs looking at you a little bit expectantly. You sigh and hand him the other half of chocolate that youâd been too distracted to eat. He takes it with a soft smile, the first time heâs ever wanted seconds of anything youâve handed to him. Youâre glad heâs happy but feel a bit sad at the fact that youâre probably not going to get to eat any of these.
Itâs a week or so later and youâre sitting on the Bronco, resigned to another day of rough, bumpy travel. You pull out a protein bar, sighing when you realise itâs your least favourite flavour. You rip off a piece and hand it to Vincent sitting beside you, but he refuses, again. He has refused food a lot lately, which is fine, heâs an adult and he can make his own choices. Youâre a little bit worried about it, even though you know that heâs fine and will be perfectly healthy because he doesnât need to eat. You miss sharing food with him more than you expected though, and youâre not quite sure why.
Vincent struggles being cramped up in the Bronco, so heâs the first one down the stairs once you dock for the night. The irony of the man spending years in a coffin but hating being in a plane turned boat isnât lost on you. You grab your bag and Vincentâs too, he doesnât have many possessions so itâs light enough for you to carry. You turn but find Cloud walking up to you, looking expectant.
âVincent took my bracer yesterday,â he says, âcan you check his bag for it?â
You look down at Vincentâs bag, you know everything thatâs in there. You donât think heâd mind you going through it, but youâre still unsure.
âI want to clean it. Itâll be too late if I wait until he gets back.â
You sigh. âAlright.â
Cloud turns his head, not looking into the bag as you open it up on the bench. The bracer is right at the top, easy to spot. Vincent only has a few changes of underclothes and very few other possessions. You grab the bracer, noticing that itâs resting on top of multiple, open boxes of dinner mints. You canât believe it. You steal a box and shove it into your purse, handing the bracer to Cloud and zipping the bag up, intending to confront Vincent about it later.
Youâre sitting with Vincent on the inn roof, as you both often do to get privacy. Youâre too out in the open to do anything dirty, but itâs private enough for him to let go of some of his inhibitions and cuddle with you. His arm is wrapped around your waist while you lean against his shoulder, leg pressed up against his. Itâs warm here, too hot for you to lean completely against him.
âCloud asked me to get his bracer out of your bag today,â you say eventually, breaking the comfortable silence.
Vincent hums behind you, the sound rumbles through his chest.
âHe was insistent, so I did. Was that alright?â
He presses a soft kiss to the top of your head. âAs long as you are the only one.â
You nod, youâd never just let anyone else go through his stuff. You take a deep breath and control your tone. âI found something else in there too.â
Vincent freezes behind you.
You let him panic for a moment before laughing, trying to reassure him, heâs not in trouble. You reach into your bag, rummaging around and pulling out the box youâd taken from his bag. âI never thought Iâd find you hiding snacks.â
He says nothing, but his face presses to your hair. You think heâs embarrassed.
You turn and press an awkward, sideways kiss to his cheek, the only part of him you can reach. âI didnât bring them here to call you out,â you reassure him. âItâs fine, I just missed sharing food with you.â
He pulls away from your neck, tilting you slightly in his arms so that youâre looking up at him. âI didnât think you would miss that.â
âItâs just something nice I could share with you,â you respond, feeling a little bit embarrassed.
He takes the box from you, reaching in and taking a square. He rips into the packaging, an expert with one bare hand and his gauntlet. He splits the chocolate in half and holds part of it out to you. You lean forward and take it, lips brushing his fingers. He smiles and then eats the other half. You can still see how much he enjoys the taste.
He swallows. âIt does taste sweeter when shared,â he murmurs, pondering, voice soft, then leans down and kisses you, mint and chocolate on his lips.

Cammy White: Swift Strikes, Silent Heart by Jade Gretz
Phantoms of the Dark Arena:
Cammy White opened her eyes to a disorienting swirl of darkness. The last thing she remembered was being deep in a mission, infiltrating a Shadaloo base hidden in the heart of the Brazilian jungle. The air had been thick with the scent of wet earth, the sounds of the night jungle alive with the chirping of insects and the occasional rustle of a predator. She had been so close to finding the intel she needed when the ground had suddenly given way beneath her, plunging her into an inky black abyss.
Now, she stood in the center of a vast arena, the ground beneath her feet a cold, hard stone that echoed with each of her cautious steps. The air was frigid, cutting through her combat suit and biting into her skin. It was a stark contrast to the humid warmth of the jungle, and the sudden change in temperature made her shiver involuntarily.
Above her, the sky was a swirling mass of dark clouds, tinged with shades of purple and black, as if the heavens themselves were bruised. Flashes of sickly green lightning illuminated the clouds, but there was no thunder, only an eerie silence that pressed in on her from all sides. The only sound was the rhythmic thumping of her own heartbeat, pounding in her ears as she tried to make sense of her surroundings.
Cammy's instincts screamed that this place was wrongâunnatural. She could feel it in her bones, a deep, primal fear that she hadn't experienced in years. It was as though the very air around her was alive, watching her, waiting for her to make a mistake. She spun around, her eyes scanning the arena's perimeter, searching for any sign of an exit or a threat.
The arena itself was massive, its boundaries shrouded in darkness. Pillars of twisted stone rose up from the ground, their surfaces etched with strange, glowing runes that pulsed with an otherworldly energy. The floor was covered in a fine layer of dust that seemed to swirl around her boots as she moved, as if disturbed by some unseen force.
Cammy's breath came in short, controlled bursts as she reached for the communicator in her ear, bu âŚ(see the rest of the story at deviantart.com/jadegretzAI). Unpopular opinion ask game: đ
(from this ask game)
đ: What is a popular ship you just can't get behind, and why?
Oh there are ever so many. i usually keep my mouth shut because i don't want to yuck anyone's yums or draw aggro from crusaders, but this is an unpopular opinion game sooooo
WARNING: UNFILTERED OPINIONS UNDER THE CUT
The one that i think burns my ass the worst is Cloud/Tifa, mostly because the game and fandom tries so hard to shove it down our throats. In the FF7 games, there is this blatant assumption all through the narrative that "of course the player is into this girl" which instantly makes me rebel against anything in any game, especially when it's heteronormative bullshit.
cyberpunk was the worst, when they tried to force me to like that leatherfaced blow-up-doll panam, who was so egregiously written by misogynist cismales, that i nearly quit the game. the grossly overt assumption the game made that i the (obviously cishet male) player would automatically be into her led to me abandoning her dirt nomad questline and never going back. i checked later, they just stand around in the desert waiting forever if you don't go back.
the problem with tifa is very similar. hetshippers always like to try and carve out a moral highground for their "canon" ship, by acting like it's misogynist not to like the female love interest in a game. i have news for you, babes, i don't have to eat garbage just because it's labeled organic.
a female character designed and written in a lazy, misogynist way is the same. consuming that fictional relationship uncritically is not something i am required to do, nor will i. the women in final fantasy games, for the most part, are badly written, terribly designed artifacts of a time when women were just objects and that was ok to say out loud. they're hardly even trying to hide it, now, but at least they are a little.
my theory on tifa's design is that the otaku devs had never seen a girl irl and when they tried to make one, what they came up with was a pair of massive tits and the personality of a wad of dryer lint. then they gave her some tossed together martial arts to justify why she's following cloud around taking up a party slot, instead of staying at home minding the children and elderly like a good girl.
also the business with her and aerith seeming to get catty and jealous over cloud several times (which they mercifully cut from remake) is such revoltingly juvenile and misogynist writing, it's almost funny. almost.
honestly the whole romance they are pushing between cloud and tifa is revoltingly juvenile and misogynist, since she's a personality-free prize for the male hero, not to mention homophobic, since it primarily seems to function as a beard, so sephiroth and cloud don't seem too gay (MISSION FAILED).
Cloud Strife is a character with whom i deeply connected and fully inhabited, and he is not a heterosexual neurotypical male in any way whatsoever. and yet i'm supposed to like seeing him shoved into the blandest wish-fulfillment, 'winning the titted-up tomboy hometown girl as a prize for being awesome' fantasy that some chuuni would've written in the back of their school notebook when they were 11. please.
examined fully, there's literally no reason for the pair to be romantically interested in one another, outside the pervasive and poisonous heterosumption of boy+girl=love. and i know what people are going to say about them being friends, but she doesn't like him. she never does. she likes the idea of the person she thinks he should be, and persistently tries to force him to become, throughout the series. she thinks the way he is needs to be fixed, because he's wrong somehow. we can still see it happening in advent children.
that's fine though, because he doesn't like her, either. he kind of remembers her from the past. that's all. he does not have the capacity to form that kind of attachment, when they first reconnect, and by the time he could form a meaningful connection with someone (circa advent children), he's already been fully railroaded into the domesticated role everyone has decided he's supposed to be in, and she is reduced to a nagging wife, by the writers. he is very clearly unhappy, and it's not because of sephiroth.
last but not least, is the lack of any kind of romantic tension between them. there is more chemistry between cloud and biggs, than cloud and tifa. hell there's more chemistry between cloud and those alley cats. it's very clearly a manufactured relationship for the sake of gratifying the decreasingly cishetmale player base of yesteryear.
in conclusion, cloud x tifa is the cold oatmeal of ships and i just want to spit it out yack

M!Reader Blushing : Yeah! I would love too!
Tifa : C-Cool!
[Tifa kiss Y/N's cheek making Y/N blushes redder]
Tifa : But seriously.... Don't fake your leg still broken again, even though you faked it only for a week I was still really worried about you...
M!Reader : Yeahđ§^v^

big post about how i've been thinking a lot about final fantasy vii's art direction, graphical style, and a little bit on low-poly graphics
the art direction of ffvii feels very unique from anything in the series since. it's distinctly more exaggerated than most the series afterwards, and especially more than the compilation of ffvii and the vii remake series. i do wonder why this sort of art direction was abandoned in favor of the more realistic looks of later mainline games
this even feels present in the key art, compare the original vii art of tifa to the later artwork of her for dissidia
you can chalk it up to the refinement of nomura's own art, but i think there's subtle things that set em worlds apart. the shorter torso and longer legs make her boobs look cartoonishly larger. her elbow pad sort of popping out a little further appearing a hint more bulky. the more rounded profile of her shoes. her face is a bit round, there's not much detail on her lips and her eyes are bigger
my only hypothesis as to why only vii really had this style going for it was to compensate on the uncertainty of system limits early on in the ps1's life. i think the cast is very much designed with that in mind, let's take a look at cloud
he really is a pretty simple character design, smaller intricacies do exist but they are negligible. with that he works perfectly into both his battle and field models
almost entirely vertex colored, using textures for finer details only where they're absolutely necessary like his mouth and eyes (though iirc, the mouth was actually added in the pc version). it's a very...utilitarian? way of modeling? a lot of early 3d games had a similar way of modeling their characters, mario 64 is an easy example but i also think or the camelot mario sports games
but after ffvii the other mainline final fantasy games on would experiment with the more realistic look of viii and the exaggerated but more finely detailed presentation of ix, both games making use of impressive texture work and far less rudimentary models
like let's look at the concept art of zidane from ix compared to his in-game model
it's pretty much one-to-one in its detail thanks to the texture, it looks great! the charm of vii's models isn't there, but it has its own charm thanks to the already exaggerated style of the art the model was based on. it's comparable to the kind of low-poly stuff people make these days
sufficed to say though i like the blockier, primitive, almost toy-like look of ffvii and the other games i've mentioned. it's the exact kind of look i've been going for with my own 3d work
i'm not sure if i've even gotten my full thoughts out with this post but it's something that's been on my mind for a while regarding final fantasy games, old 3d games, and new games that look like old 3d games

âHowâd you and [N/N] meet, Cloud?â Stopping abruptly at the question, Cloud placed the plate he was scrubbing down on the sink and chuckled.
âIâm not sure you would want to know that, Mars. Probably less romantic as you may think.â Shoving a spoonful of the soup Tifa had made for her and Denzel that afternoon, she sat quietly.
Cloud was another father figure to her, always telling her such amazing stories about when he was a child now that he regain his correct memories, his experience with fighting sephiroth and saving humanity, but never once did he speak about the story of his lover.
He did talk about her all the time yes, but whenever Marlene asked about how they met, in her eyes she could tell that he was nervous.
âNot until youâre older will I tell you.â
He told her one day when the group of them went out to see the stars together for a camping trip. Everyone went off to find firewood while Cloud stayed with the children just incase.
That was when she brought up the topic last time and was extremely frustrated whenever he brushed off her question but it was clear the blond was not budging.
That night was almost two years ago now and Marlene felt she had waited long enough to hear the story.
âPlease tell me, Iâve been waiting ages Cloud!â She whined, playing with the small pieces of bread on the wooden table as she looked at his teal blue eyes.
âFine fine, youâll have to wash my bike for a week though.â He softly teased as he sat down next to her, ignoring her whines again.
He felt his hands start to sweat a bit his lip from nervousness but stay cool as he began.
FIVE YEARS AGO
You stood sternly as you ignored the eyes that stayed on your form, watching your every move as you waited.
Itâs been 15 minutes already of waiting, although it wasnât obvious on your face, you were becoming irritated.
After being thrown down here by Corneoâs goons, you just wanted to get this over with, find out what you needed and get the hell out of here.
Tifa, a girl you met in town was still sleeping on the floor as the sleep dust was still in her system.
The two of you met long before, occasionally going to the bar to discuss things about Avalanche.
Although you wouldnât say you were necessarily part of the movement, you still offered the help when she needed it.
She was always understanding and sweet with you, definitely a weakness for you when you saw how distressed she looked when she was suddenly in a room upstairs with you and three other men.
You agreed to come with her, agreeing youâd try to help get information on why those men were asking about avalanche earlier and you both came to terms that if either of you were picked, save the other once information was learned.
You stood near her, not saying a word as you glared at the men grabbing the both of you as your eyes were becoming weaker.
The next thing you knew, you were down here for god knows how long, anxiously waiting.
It didnât help you had such a skimpy dress that left little to no imagination on what hid underneath.
You stood straighter when the goon that was in the room watching suddenly left, closing the door as you heard noise from up above.
âTifa? Wake up, I hear someone coming.â You whispered softly as you started to shake her softly, waiting for her to open her pretty red eyes.
A groan came from her as she slowly woke up, but sat up quickly seeing the worried expression on your face as you were shielding her from the people coming in.
Two more girls were thrown into the room, making you wince when the brunette unconsciously fell on her cheek rather harshly.
âOh no.â Tifa whispered, going over to the blonde one while you made your way over to the other.
She was rather pretty, a red mark on her cheek started to rise when you quickly grabbed a wipe from your hidden thigh stash.
The stash was small, but it had all you needed incase of emergencyâs. Definitely came in handy the more you hung out with Tifa and her friends. Always getting into trouble it seemed.
âExcuse me, can you hear me?â You asked as you patted her face ever so gently. Not firm enough to hurt but still enough to try to wake her up.
âUghh dang it.â She groaned, and you watched as she rubbed her eyes tiredly.
You chuckled a bit, finally feeling relief that everyone in here was okay and you stood up quickly to help her up. She gave you a sweet smile, her eyes brightening up at the sight of you. She turned away from you quickly though as she looked over at Tifa excitedly.
âHey Tifa! Howâs it going?â She jogged over and greeted your friend who was very confused on who this girl was and why she was with cloud of all people.
âOh right. Iâm Aerith, a friend of clouds.â She greeted. You kind of zoned off as you walked over to the door, crossing your arms across your chest as you waited once again.
ââŚand thatâs [Y/N]. Sheâs helping me out and she works with avalanche occasionally when I need her.â You gave a small smile and wave, looking to the blond who have you a firm nod of acknowledgment.
Besides the dress and makeup, he was rather pretty and very muscular it seemed as you watched the way his biceps would flex under the tight sleeves of the black dress he was rocking.
Tifa and Aerith continued to talk about what was going to happen and the plan, but Cloud seemed to have his attention (silently) on you.
You were (short/tall), with (long/short) hair that fit your face amazingly. You had soft makeup on with a pink soft lip that pulled your look all together. A nice black dress that hid the thigh strap just right and hugged you perfectly.
But he wasnât going to talk to you yet. Not once he knew you could be trusted and the girls would be safe. That was the reason he was here, so why did he care so much for a stranger that seemed more than capable of herself.
Tifa seemed to trust you and Aerith already liked you, so why was he so hesitant towards you?
It wasnât until later on when the four of you were thrown down to the sewers when he was noticing how you prioritized everyone elseâs safety over yours the whole time.
When the big monster first attacked you, you grabbed the girls and jumped out of the way quickly. When the whisperers were surrounding and trying to hurt Tifa you were there guarding her.
Even when you were thrown and beat down numerous times, you were still fighting and backing the group up, trying to get back to the slums as quickly as possible.
Then after the three of you found Aerith again, did he seem to finally get you. You cherished the people around you, even if they did you wrong or had no idea who they were, you were still right there.
He admired you deeply for that.
When the group of you were at Aerithâs home after she was taken away, did he finally have a full conversation with you.
He was supposed to be sleeping, to get rested for the day ahead, but he just couldnât seem to shut his eyes just yet.
So many thoughts ran through his mind. Tifa and her well being. Aerith and if she was okay or hurt. And, you.
You didnât say much, didnât show much emotion to him, but the moment you found out she was taken, did he see the way you tried to blink away the tears that were threatening to release.
He heard soft footsteps from outside of his room, making him slowly get up and walk out while trying to not wake the house up.
He saw the door to the room that you were sharing with Tifa open, meaning either of you couldâve left.
Taking a quick glance, he saw Tifa sleeping with tears streaming her cheeks and a distressed look on her sleeping face.
He sighed, wanting nothing more than to comfort her, but he had to make sure you were okay and why you were up so early.
He made his way outside, seeing you sitting on the small hill that was in the garden surrounded by all the flowers.
You were sitting there with your legs up to your chest, your arms resting on your knees with your face resting on them as well as you kept your gaze forward. He couldnât see your face, but he didnât need to when he could see the way your body shuddered.
âI shouldâve been there to protect her and went with her to find Marlene. I shouldâve done more to save everything, Itâs all my fault, Iâm so sorry.â He heard you cry silently.
He didnât speak a word to you. What could he say? He was in the exact same boat as you, but with the little time you two would be alone while Aerith and Tifa did their own things together, he noticed how quickly you opened up to him about a lot of things.
Your parents both left you behind with your younger siblings. You had to take care of them at a young age, but your uncle was the one to teach you a lot of things. Your uncle was your best friend, and the day you lost him, you swore to work and protect harder.
Now your siblings were doing their own things, leaving you behind once again with no one and no support system. You had experience now though, and being able to help Avalanche really helped fill the void in your heart to be able to be around people like that again.
Jessie was your closest friend besides Tifa, and when he saw how much of a wreck you became when she died, it was evident everything was hitting you all at once. It didnât help one bit when the plate fell, everything you knew of was gone in just a click of a stupid button.
Your loud sobs and the way you pushed your hands in your hair aggressively brought him back to reality as another breakdown began to take a toll on you again.
He made his way over, sitting down tensely as he had no idea what to do.
âHey, calm down okay? Breathe, [Y/N]. Nothing is your fault, none of all of this is either of our faults. I feelâŚthe same way you do. Aerith, sheâŚshe means a lot to me. I protect her, she protects me, and the cycle continuesâŚbut this time, I failed her. I donât know what Iâm doing anymore to be honest.â
Hearing a small chuckle and sniff, he took a glance over to you as you wiped your eyes with your hands.
âYou must really like her hm? Canât really blame you, sheâs absolutely incredible and IâŚdonât know what I would be doing right now if she didnât drag me along after we were done escaping the sewers.â
A small smile made its way onto his pink lips. He continued to watch the sky with you, the soft wind blowing the flowers softly and a comfortable aura surrounded the both of you, almost like she was there with you guys.
âSo thatâs it? You guys didnât kiss or anything??â Marlene spoke with annoyance laced in her voice, completely oblivious that everyone was there listening.
Yuffie, Vincent, Tifa, Barrett, and you.
You giggled as you leaned from behind her and squished her cheeks.
âThat story is for another day, starlight. Tifa wants you to go to bed now while your dad rests hm? Iâm sure Denzel wants you to read to him to bed again.â Teasing slightly at the little girl who now seemed to zoom off to her room, you gave your lover a knowing smile.
âYou speak beautifully, my love.â
Cloud scoffed, getting back up to continue washing his dishes but he held a smile as he placed a kiss on your jaw.
âGross!â Yuffie stuck her tongue out in disgust while Vincent held a stoic look on his pale face but a tiny smile crept up on his lips.
âLetâs leave the love birds to it then. I need a nap.â Barrett scoffs and walked off, slinging an arm over Tifa and Yuffie as the four of them walked away.
You kept your gaze on them happily, but your eyes looked at Cloud in shock as he placed his lips on yours fully now while you werenât looking just yet.
âWhat was that for?â
âWhat? I canât kiss you?â
âStop being such a smart ass and give me another one.â
