ㅤㅤwe're currently still plotting out the finer details, but so far @throatrips has figured that the twins' mum wasn't prepared, nor willing, to raise two babies so they were ultimately left with their father. being the older twin, piper naturally fell into a caretaker role, whether that be with her brother or her dad. she rarely gave thought to the fact that a kid should have two parents, not one. however, it is something that weighs heavily on her mentally. is there something wrong with her? not loveable? too badly behaved? anything that runs through a kid's mind, piper has thought of it. at the end of the day, though, derek has always been there for her. she thinks the time has long past for getting to know someone that never wanted her.

I really like that they made Jor-El speak Kryptonian and Clark unable to understand him. The whole "aliens speak English" thing that happens in every goddamn media has bothered me all my life. Ik sometimes Clark just gets zapped in the brain for insta-second language but that always felt like a cheap shortcut.

Jor-El had a lot on his mind when he set up that magic spaceship okay. The world was ending and he was trying to do as much as he could before time ran out so he could be there for his son. He was rushing. He likely didn't consider Kal would be raised with a whole different language and not know any Kryptonian nor have anyone to teach him.

So I rewatched The Spider Within and it had me thinking

Listen, I understand that Spiderverse focuses on Miles and the good/bad/ugly that he faces while on his journey becoming the Spider-Man he wants be.

But if I’m being honest, I would not blame Miles one bit if he wanted to shelve his Spider-Man suit for some time. I think he deserves a moment to recuperate his thoughts. I think he deserves to have the support of Ganke and his parents. I think Miles deserves to prioritize his own wellbeing first and foremost.
