{In Sickness and in Bloom} Tighnari x Sick!Reader

Hey guys! Second post so far... its a Tighnari x Sick!Reader!! Its a headcanon! Reader is Gn and I started this at 1:25am so forgive me for any spelling mistakes lol. Anyways so please like, follow, and be sure to make any requests if you enjoy my work! I have like a lot of things I plan on writing so I should be pumping out content every now and then lol. Anyways again I hope you enjoy!

Also HAPPY NEW YEAR LIKE GUYS HOLY SHIT 2020 WAS HALF A DECADE AGO NOW I FEEL OLD LIKE WTF

Tighnari being part fox means he can sense things faster than others so its safe to say he can tell when your body is coming down with a cold or flu before you do

He will constantly fuss over you ensure you are in bed 24/7 and will not allow you to work!

He will sometimes ask Collei to watch over you when hes gone attending his duties

Collei always does her best when she tries cheering you up! She will talk to you for a while before she starts apologizing for rambling but quickly calms down when you assure the sweet bean that it was okay

When Tighnari gets back Collei does the cutest thing and reports back everything that happened and I mean everything! From your temperature, to the things you intake, the number of times you've coughed or sneezed and the topic conversations you guys had! She of course does this because she sees how much her master fusses over you

Tighnari is always grateful for this and finds it just as adorable as you do

He will ask Collei to prepare simple medicines and teas for you while handling more complicated remedies

Because he has a strong immune system which he got from eating Archons knows what kind of shit in the forest he uses that as an excuse to keep you cuddled up in bed... and when I mean cuddled up I mean he will cuddle you in the bed while you're sick

One time you were making a fuss on not wanting to take a medicine he was trying to feed you, so what the did was take the medicine in your mouth and feed it to you through a kiss

After seeing you flushing like that for the first time he sometimes makes the medicines a bit extra bitter just so he can do it again... that sly shit

When you get sick he tries to not have anyone besides him and Collei look after you because he believes that since he is the most experienced and dedicated forest ranger he should be the one to look after you

The other reason is because his fennec fox side gets jealous and possessive when someone other than him and Collei looks after you

Plus he gets mildly annoyed when theres another guy's scent on you and the stronger it is the more annoyed he gets

When he looks after you he will really take care of you names before his actions contradict his words, calling you stupid one minute before placing a few kisses to your forehead after you complain about having a headache. Telling you that eating slightly expired food was stupid and you should've either asked him for some or bought new food as he gets into the bed with you to feed you stomach soothing soup before rubbing your belly

Safe to say that in Tighnari's hands you are more than safe!

heres my designs for all the important gods (I FORGOT HEPHAESTUS SORRY) in epic

thoughts/explanations behind the designs + sketches under the cut

general notes: my biggest headcanon for the gods designs is that they can be just about anything because they (within some limits) choose how they appear. so a god can look like just about anything, but its almost always mostly human. the only real rules to that i think are that 1) their design should usually try to incorporate their main symbols/domain in some way (in some way allows for a lot of range though, so athena for example is very much a bird creature since shes very associated with owls, but aphrodite has just some roses and shells in her hair, and 2) things like scars and such cant be hidden. this rule mostly only matters for athena. i realize i incorporated gold into almost all of their designs but that wasnt intentional lol. anyways let meee talk about the specific gods now. also for fun, no god has normal eyes. theyre either shadowed out entirely, weird shapes, or have no pupils. or all three! i think weird eyes is what distinguishes a god in my designs. i havent done this in my circe or calypso designs but since theyre not quite gods but adjacent i might give them similarly weird eye shapes but also pupils. idk we'll see!

aeolus: so my aeolus design is originally from a sketch i did in class. i was trying to draw telemachus with long hair based on a friends fic and then i was like "oh this looks like how i imagine aeolus would" and the next thing i drew is pretty much Just this final design. i drew aeolus very loosely, he has a clear shape but he should never be fully defined if that makes sense? so when coloring it i decided fuck it he looks like a weird mass of clouds now. its fun! i might change that but idk. also its subtly trans colors because i believe in transmasc aeolus supremacy. i imagine him moving around very freely and seeming to appear and disappear out of nowhere

apollo: so i think apollo is actually the oldest design here? which is to say that i drew apollo ONCE in my sketchbook at the start of my epic hyperfixation and got really into this specific design. i sort of wanted to color him similarly to uh, if you know ginjaninja their design for their oc kynthia? but i ended up going with more just white and gold to keep it simple. i LOVE tiny color palettes lol. the original outfit i believeee was inspired by gigi's hermes actually? but i havent looked at that design in a while so its probably changed. he has a halo that originally looked more like the sun but ive simplified it a bit. why? its cool. also i mightve stolen that from somebody else but i literally CANNOT remember. anyways one fact about this design is that the first time i drew it i labelled it WHORE. you can see i did that in the sketch here too. in his honor.

hermes: little freak guy!! theres honestly not THAT much to say here about hermes. i drew him with a little messenger bag once and i cant NOT draw him with it now i think its cute. i draw odysseus, ctimene, and telemachus all with a gaptooth, and i've never drawn anticlea but i've had the conscious thought that id give it to her too, so fuck it! hermes gets it. it comes from him. the family gaptooth is from him i hope youre happy hermes erfgfrefgfr. color scheme wise i wanted to keep it mostly simple again, i always pictured hermes with silver/white hair for some reason idk why but thats here! and he has rainbow. because is it even hermes without rainbow. i might darken this palette a bit but i am pretty happy with him.

athena: so my athena design ive drawn a ton and shes changed a lot over time. i didnt originally want her to look tooooo birdlike? and then i committed to owlthena because its just FUN man. anyways her silhouette is meant to look very closed off, her "cloak" covers most of her body, just generally shes supposed to seem sort of unapproachable. (note: hes not here but i do this with odysseus too! both because i wanted a similar kind of closed off look for him, and that i wanted him and athena to have visual parallels). her cloak is actually just her wings though! i doodled them unfolded so you can see her without them, as well as without her helmet. her helmet covers one of her eyes with a shadow (again to make her look like shes sort of hiding something), which was a design choice i made BEFORE we found out she lost an eye to zeus, so! coincidentally its good for hiding that scar :]. i doodled her with long black hair ONE WHOLE TIME and its stuck in my mind since so i have to keep that design element forever now. sorry official brunette athena youre not real to me. her color scheme was a STRUGGLE for me though. i knew i wanted to fit blue in there somewhere, but i wasnt really sure how? i eventually caved and made her mostly black and silver with a bit of blue in there. the blue and black gives more magpie energy to her than owl, but i dont know, i like it. i might mess with it more, but yeah! athena! shes really fun to draw lol. i imagine shed be animated in a very constrained sort of way most of the time like her design sort of implies. she doesnt really make big gestures or unnecessary movements she would be sort of uncanny in how still she is most of the time i think.

aries: ive had an aries design for a while so i was basically just finalizing it here. he was supposed to look both very similar to athena and very opposite of her. so they have nearly identical outfits, they both have a helmet shadowing their eyes (but it shadows both of aries' here), theyve both got a lot of animal features (although aries is less visible here, he's a bit dog inspired. you can see his tail eheh), etc. the main difference is that aries is meant to look a lot less, for lack of a better word restrained? his scarf (because its really more of a scarf than a cloak like athena has) only covers part of his face and absolutely none of his body, so it think it gives him a look more like hes ready to fight at any second than athena. i also wanted him to look very scarred/like his armor is scratched up. he and athena are both war gods, but aries is much more likely to throw himself into things and get hurt, while athena plans things in such a way where shes almost never actually hit. brute force vs strategy and whatnot. i sort of wish id made his scars golden too, to look a bit more like athena though. originally the black was red, but it looked really bad, which SUCKS because i wanted the red to contrast with athenas blue. but he just has red eyes here.

aphrodite: very little thought behind this one because my first sketch of her was like two days ago and very inspired by gigis. i sort of wanted her to look doll-like and have a cupids bow lip, but otherwise i got NOTHING girl. shes got pearls and shells in her hair to allude to her connection with the sea though. also roses because i wanted to put in one more symbol and that was a nice way to get a bit more red in there.

hera: im the least happy with this design, almost entirely because of the coloring. i sketched it being more purple, but then i realized that 1) peacocks are a lot more green and 2) IM STEALING FROM JUNE AGAIN!!! THATS HOW JUNE DREW THEIR OC IN A MIRACULOUS AU GODDAMNIT. so the colors are traditional peacock and im NOT happy with them at all. the design is also still basically stolen from june once again i am SO sorry their work is just so integrated into my mind that its a part of me now i do it without thinking. very little notes here otherwise unfortunately,,,,

zeus: weirdly enough i think this is my favorite design? which is WILD because i basically thought of it on the spot like two or three days ago for a shitpost based on a silly manwhore au-adjacent fic i read. the design over all is inspired by neal's? but honestly i think ive done my own thing with it a bit. i didnt really want to do clouds in his hair because id associated that with aeolus in my head, but then i thought of it fading into a dark grey like stormclouds, and having his scarf like lightning? and then he appeared fully formed in front of me. bro is BARELY dressed dude put a shirt on. also his eyebrows are cloud shaped like ursaluna. i fucking hate this dude but im happy with this design

poseidon: OKAY SO POSEIDON IS THE MOST OUT THERE DESIGN HERE I THINK. hes definitely the most inhuman looking one despite us having literally a bird right there, but that was somewhat intentional? and also somewhat because i had a very clear vision of him and needed to make it real exactly as i first thought sorry. anyways, for some characterization, i think with my idea of the gods choosing their appearances and poseidon being a lot more monstrous, you could say he CHOOSES to look unnerving. side note, this is very personal to me but i really like the idea of athena looking more like poseidon than any of her other family. i dont know WHY i just got really attached to that idea. so they have the same hair and somewhat similar faces i think. the resemblance isnt major but it is THERE for sure.

New ship droped lady silver and the red lord🤔 i can see it being very wholesome and extremely fucked up at the same time!!!

Correct.

On one side, you have a person who's only known a modest life of peace and healing, and also a lack of (for lack of a better term) "Exciting Experiences". Everyday, they console everyone else's worries and difficult emotions. They can see the troubling experiences through their patients' eyes but of course never having truly experience it themself. It leaves them with a sense of doubting, in their work and themself. A sense of yearning to truly experience life so that they may truly help others.

On the other side, you have a person who's only known the extremes of pleasure and pain. A life of luxury and depravity. They are compelled to feed off the vulnerabilities of others, by way of intimacies. Able to spy in on people's weaknesses and desires to bend them to their will. Deep down, theres an unspoken desire to have a real connection to someone, yet it only leads to cycles of violence because thats what They Want (cough cough the other lords cough cough). It only gets worse when the black lords gets exiled.

However one day, by complete happenstance, they hear each other through the wall. So they begin talking to each other. And despite their best efforts, they are somewhat endeared by the other. It was frustrating at times: he couldn't find a guilty desire to manipulate, and she couldn't see through him without permission (which he was adamantly against at first.) They talk for an hour and then hours, once every couple of days to everyday, a few weeks go by then months. By then, they'd spoken about things that they never would have otherwise. Let slip the masks they wear. Their powers canceling each other out in the best way: one feeling bold enough to Want and the other feeling Wanted as a real person. His hunger momentarily satisfied by it at times.

And then the statue incident occurs. And Silver is rightfully scared and panicked. Everything she knew about her home is shattered. So she runs and pleads with her friend to meet her on the other side of the wall because she is terrified but cannot stay there, and he agrees to (despite it being impossible. Because his side is a completely different wall in a completely different world and there no guarantee she would be there--

There's a frantic knocking on his wall. The red lord hesitantly opens the passageway to the service tunnel, and is greeted by someone he has never seen before but knows. They both know. They stay there in his bedchambers a while. Lady Silver grieving her friends and home, held in the arms of a person she can barely look at because of the Redness (shes only seen it once before ai the statue breaking open.)

Try as he might to comfort her, the red lord knows a simple unfortunate fact: she cannot stay here either. For many reasons, but mainly because he knows this place would tear her to pieces. Its a confusing feeling: he wants to help her escape to somewhere safe, but that means he either loses her forever or he leaves home with her. Leave behind all the luxurious fashion, jewelry, feasts, fights, sex -- like, a lot of sex -- all for some stranger who makes him feel like. A person.

He packs a few "essentials" in a bag, and they both sneak out of Alagadda together. Theres a realm he knows that should be safe enough for them both...

McSpirk and away missions. The Hazard Husbands.

The reason I ship these three (Kirk/Spock/Bones) comes down to one simple point and it is as follows.. theres is no logical reason for them to be the 3 on away missions as much as they are. Actually, it's probably not the suggested Starfleet protocol at all, or at least not for most types of missions. It's a quirk of the writing but it reads as them being so interwoven and almost like they are making excuses to be together as actual characters. We see this kind of thing way less in later series. Because they find other ways to give their main characters more screen time, make main characters out of less high-ranking officers, or have a truer ensemble cast vibe.

Kirk and Spock should rarely be down on the planet together because of chains of command. It's fine that Sulu and Scotty end up having the bridge a lot during actual away missions. You don't need a pilot as much in orbit around a planet and Engineering is able to contact Scotty if there's an emergency elsewhere. But they have other responsibilities. If something happens to the people on the away mission the death of the first and second in command is not ideal for the ship. Then there is McCoy. Bones is the chief medical officer. He goes on a lot of missions that don't need a medical officer, and while shit goes wrong and he comes in handy, it didn't make sense to put the whole crew's medical care at risk by sending him down before shit hit the fan. Additionally, in many situations where there is not an extreme medical crisis, it would make more sense to have Nurse Chapel on the planet and Bones watching over med bay.

So why does this happen? Why do each of the three keep letting this happen?

McCoy hates transporters enough it wouldn't be out of character for him to be mostly shipbound. He's one of the few roles on a ship where he can truly challenge a commanding officer. Who can say no captain I'm needed here you should take my assistant down to look at your damn rocks/broken leg/lap dog in a unicorn costume/etc. Yet he goes.

Kirk gets to pick the away teams, do I need to say more. Okay, I will, these two by his side. If he is going to be in harm's way, having fun, or even bored out of his mind, he'd rather do it with them, logistics be damned.

Spock dearest Spock knows this is all illogical. Not just not advised by Starfleet, but truly a risky choice but he says nothing. None of his quips about humans, not of his protestations in the face of Kirk Choas or McCoy's emotion. He never calls out this pattern of behavior as a fault. Perhaps because he thinks their combined skills make it work the risks, but that feeds into it even more.

They are inseparable when their roles should inherently keep them in close communication, but with physical distance in all risk situations. They choose to take the risk, to face the crises together. Therefore.... husbands. Hazards to their crew, but in love hazards.

team bolas rojas gas masks designs??

in THIS day and age?????

it may be more likely than you think..

this was my first time drawing a series of different gas masks, no idea if they’re accurate at all, but it was really fun!!

it’s a lot of notes so be prepared for an info dump.

NOTES:

Philza: honestly, what more is there to say than “CROW MAN!!”? aside from his goggles being glow-in-the-dark, theres not much more to the mask design. however, i decided, “hey! this is purgatory! i can fuck up these characters!” so, he has a ripped ear(?)wing and messily cut back hair. (i didn’t pay too much attention to the hair in this design, i was mainly trying to get the gas masks down, but maybe i’ll go further into later.)

Cellbit: this is definitely one of my favorites, he looks pretty scary, i would NOT stop my car if i saw him on the side of the road. its based off of a cat mask(obviously) and a painted white streak goes through his mask, inspired by his hair. i didn’t include it, but circles in the goggles are supposed to retract with different emotions (kind of how cat’s eyes do, saucer and dagger pupils.) he’s also covered in blood because he’s going through it lore wise.

Slimecicle: ngl, it was my first time drawing code charlie(other than all the wips i have that i’ll never finish),but i think he’s pretty spooky. his mask is the worst quality, like it USED to work well until he wore it out. thus, there are broken air tubes that let the gas in. (he should probably get those replaced.) the holes for his horns are kind of like an airlock, so the gas can’t enter through them (phil helped him make it.) however, it makes it difficult to take off.

Baghera: baghera’s mask is kind of built like charlie’s, except in much better quality. aside from the loose air tubes, the mask almost goes all the way around her head, not letting even the slightest bit of gas in. theres also a plastic duck beak on top of the regular breathy-thing(i have no idea what i’m doing, so, no, i don’t know the technical term for that) to give it the “bird touch.”

Jaiden: jaiden’s mask was FUN. like i kinda went overboard. i did these all on different days, and this was the night after the big egg battle day. i saw she had fnaf bonnie ears along with her bird gas mask, and said “ok cool. i’ll add that.” she has the same feather/beak thing i gave to baghera. also, hair-wise, she gets a hair bun and her brown roots showing through(we love messy haired cubitos ^^)

Foolish: foolish was interesting, not sure i like the final product, but i’m tired, so it’ll do. his mask is based off of a lemon shark. he gas glowing green eyes and golden splotches on the leather. the air tube foolish has is REALLY long. like unnaturally long. so he wraps it around his neck to get it out of the way. the other members are extremely concerned it’ll choke him one day, but foolish thinks it’s cool and will scare other teams away. kind of like a “yea, i’m crazy, i could choke and die at any minute, and i don’t care.” phil, being the protective father figure of the group, does not like this at all.

Carre: and finally, we have carre. ah, sweet, sweet carre.(he is my favorite.) his mask is based off of a snow leopard because i hc he’s half feline. carre has the lightest, and most simple mask, since it’s entirely plastic, and more so based off of skiing or snowboarding goggles.

ANYWAY, i hope these notes make sense, excuse my rambling about silly designs, i tend to doodle messily, and not really have a plan when i draw, lol.

ok, so… securitrons move around with One Big Tire. while it gives their design a pretty memorable Staple, its… well, realistically it would be TERRIBLE 4 balance…!!! while a big tire like that on its Own could probably balance just fine, we of course have a Big (Cute) Bulky Robot that’s gonna be Fucking with its Center of Mass, kind of like a heavy unicycle!! so i have 2 wonder how they do it so well ingame…!! obviously it could be explained through cartoon physics or something like that… but i wanna dig a bit Deeper than that. i love securitrons too much 2 just write it off anyhow…^_^ so lets solve the mystery of how these things can balance so good!!!

now.. it could be that securitrons are specifically coded 2 know how 2 Balance themselves, or have some kind of mechanic that keeps them from Toppling Over every time they want 2 stop moving or stay Still. it could be possible that they have a sort of special Locking Mechanism that keeps their tire from making them roll away…? however this does Not solve the problem of the robot’s center of mass!! because even if the tire is locked in place, the Weight of the securitron’s body will still, well… make it tip over!!

so i propose an Idea. what if the securitrons center of mass. is actually a lot Lower than it may seem from their build. stay with me here, ok…? ok…

obviously house is too much of a Haughty Smarty Pants or something like that 2 just have written off or ignore this issue. in fact- the way securitrons ingame can effortlessly balance is a testament 2 this fact!! so what did he do 2 let the securitrons actually balance…?

its is My Opinion that securitrons must have their center of mass Lower in their bodies. this would make it Much easier 4 them 2 actually balance themselves as we see in new vegas!! if i had 2 guess where Specifically, i’d say somewhere as shown in This Simple Graphic…

since the part housing the Screen is the bulkiest part of the chassis, you would Typically expect that 2 be the center of mass… however, with it being So High Up on the body, it would cause the robot 2 fall over!!! crash!!! ow!!! @_@

however… if the center of mass is Below that part, in the “waist” area per se, then the robot won’t have as much of a discrepancy in weight distribution. it wont be as Top Heavy, allowing the entire machine 2 stay standing!!

now as 4 How exactly the center of weight would realistically be in the waist area, i’d have 2 say its probably something 2 do with how the Functions of the parts affect how theyd be Built, if that makes any sense... the lower waist area is where the Wheel connects 2 the rest of the body, so the part where it connects is most likely More Fortified so it doesn’t Come Apart, especially considering the amount of Movement that part would have 2 put up with, so it should there4 be using Stronger/More Material so it doesn’t Wear Down so easily. perhaps the material in that area is pretty thick, making it heavy!!

as 4 the part Above that however… we can see its made up of the same material as the Arms, and from securitron movement and idle animations, we see its somewhat Flexible from the way it Bounces!! perhaps theres a comically large spring inside? or perhaps a multitude of springs that allow the chassis 2 Bounce in the way it does? (leaving that outside bit as the only thing letting it bounce would be a bit Stupid, really… there would be Zero support 4 the chassis and it would just always be Crushing the thing…!!!) so perhaps those springs are quite heavy, as they’d have 2 be Strong and there4 pretty Big and Thick so they dont snap inside of the body!

of course this is all just Speculation, as we dont 4 sure know what the inside of one of these cuties looks like. maybe one day we’ll get a good look at the inner workings of a securitron, but until we know that, all we have 2 rely on is the power of Headcanon!! so i could be spot on, or i could be way off. who knows!! maybe theyre powered by cartoon bullshittery 4 real!!!

id really love 2 hear Other People’s ideas and thoughts on this too… i am not an Expert on Robotics by a Long Shot, even if i do love them with my Whole Heart… im just some sillyguy giving its two cents on a cute robot!! so if anyone has different or cooler interpretations on how securitrons can balance, i would love 2 hear them!!

also… thank you 4 reading my speculations as well in the First Place… it honestly means a Whole Lot 2 me whenever people enjoy the stuff i put out here 4 fun, so thank you thank you Thank You 4 taking the time 2 enjoy my silly little works...!!! NEXUS AND MOON FINALLY MET!! :D And Ruin is being the cryptic freak he is/affectionate <3

I wanted to point out something really interesting to me-

The last two days of episodes mention a few rather interesting things! Specifically character motivations!

Though subtle, there are lines that tell us a lot about the characters' thought processes, and it really jumped out to me!

In "Lunar gets kicked out", Moon mentions why he wants Lunar to live with them. He feels responsible for them.

Though it seems obvious once you think about it, it tells us not just a lot about Moon and his relationship to Lunar, but Lunar's relationship with Nexus as well.

Moon has a guilty conscience, often thinking of himself as the cause of the problem. This has been a problem for a long time, even prior to his death.

Though he's been incredibly casual, his actions still lay heavy on him, though he has trouble expressing it.

Lunar came from his head. This is where his code developed.

Moon naturally feels responsible for them! Another factor of this could also be his knowledge of being stuck in someone's head.

Its also interesting to note, that Lunar didn't correct or reassure him, instead being upset at the wording! This could mean, that Lunar does feel hurt and left behind, which makes sense!

After all, they died, and when they came back, their big brother was just…gone, sacrificing himself for someone who, in Lunar's eyes, caused much more harm than good.

It actually tells us a lot about their relationship with Nexus as well!!

Nexus knows, where Lunar comes from, and feels the same level of responsibility. He likely felt guilty about Moon's departure as well!

I'm not sure when this happened, but I know Nexus once said, Moon wouldn't have cared about Lunar's death.

This was, of course, his own resentment speaking, but it explains his protectiveness, which was turned up a notch when it came to Lunar!

He's trying to make it up to them.

Lunar's point of view is a whole cane of worms itself- It's been something I've been thinking about for a long time, though I never found the right words for it!

They obviously love Nexus, that much is clear. But they seemed rather avoident of him. It's much different from their relationship with Earth and Sun.

Lunar is a selfish person. They try not to be, and try their best to be empathetic, something they tend to struggle with.

Despite this though, this part of them sometimes peeks through. That's not a bad thing, of course, it makes their character human, and honestly really fun!

Point is, this especially happens around Nexus.

A good example being the Dazzle episodes with those two.

Lunar is a lot more demanding towards him in them, and their little moments of the "sibling dynamic", seem rather tense, much different from the joking atmosphere they usually have around their other siblings. Nexus seems genuinely hurt by Lunar's lack of interest, not even bothering with a simple thank you.

And honesty? It makes sense.

Lunar's perspective on the situation is honestly so fascinating to me!

The tension started, when Eclipse came back.

However, even though they were angry at being babied, something that makes a lot more sense now with Nexus' guilt involved, that wasn't what set them off.

Instead, it started going down hill once Nexus made a deal with Eclipse, and thought of letting him live.

Because Moon had seen everything.

He has seen the dents marking his own metal, inflicted upon him by Eclipse to hurt Lunar.

He heared Lunar's thoughts, his doubts, once mentioning, that Lunar can't exactly hide things from him.

Hell, it's been established, that Lunar could see Moon's memories, so theres a likelyhood of the reverse being possible as well.

Moon even brought them to Solar's dimension, for the sake of closure, knowing their time with Eclipse was still eating them up inside.

He should know the pain inflicted on them. Yet he doesn't, because this isn't Moon.

This is Nexus. A replacement. A new person, wearing their brother's face and pretending to be him.

This isn't their older brother anymore. This isn't the guy, who they ran to, when they couldn't take the abuse anymore.

This isn't the person, that took them in. This isn't the brother, that gave them a home. He's not the one, that tried to encourage their interests, or scolded Sun when he accidentally made them cry.

No, this brother is long gone, sacrificing himself for a killcode who hasn't brought anything but misery.

Because Lunar doesn't know about KC's change of heart, or his regret.

In Lunar's eyes, Killcode is nothing but the monster, that caused psychological warfare to his brother, and forced them out of Moon's head.

Of course, there's going to be resentment towards Moon.

"Why would you leave me behind, and at the mercy of my personal demon, for someone who caused us harm?"

And naturally, this resentment would fall upon Nexus as well.

But it only really started to rear its ugly head, when he spared Eclipse.

Because this is the painful moment, that truly paints Nexus a different person.

A replacement, a stranger in a loved ones body.

A reminder of what they lost.

And they know, they are in the wrong.

They know the moment, that they acknowledge Eclipse's death, caused by their own hands, was a mistake.

But they are selfish. They are selfish, and they cannot help but put themself first. They cannot help, but put their own feelings first.

That being said, this also plays into Nexus' development!

In "Moon and Nexus meet", Nexus says some pretty interesting things, mentioning, that Dark Sun is the only one who enjoys what he makes, the only one, who let's him do what he wants to.

This tells us, that Nexus truly did feel like a replacement for Moon.

He felt like he needed to be someone else, pretend to be something he's not.

He needed to be Lunar and Sun's lost brother. He needed to be Earth's reliable, big brother, when, technically, he existed last.

There were too many expectations on him, both from the people around him, and also himself. He likely built up a lot of resentment as well, and now he's letting it all flow out. A bit of this resentment could be heared, when Lunar did not give him that single thank you.

There's definitely more in play here, but I think, this has been eating him up for a long time, long before Solar died. However, Solar's death made him realize, that he can't be Moon, no matter, how hard he tries.

Nexus never truly had an identity of his own, instead being pushed into someone else's.

And of course, there's Eclipse. It always comes around to him, it seems-

I think, the last two MGAFS episodes give us quite the insight into his moral code.

And interestingly enough, it's incredibly similar to Ruin's!

If it's for the greater good, it doesn't matter, who gets hurt.

It doesn't matter, if FC is in pain and relives a traumatic experience, as long as the havoc wrecking ghost gets destroyed.

It doesn't matter, if Puppet has to die, if it means, keeping the multiverse alive.

It doesn't matter, who I hurt, because the star can do anything, and I will create an utopia.

And yesyes like u said with Lunar and Moon too!! There's a lotta unaddressed bitterness from the fact Lunar woke up after death and Moon had just up and died to someone Lunar still thought of as a Pretty Shitty Guy!!! And even just unaddressed stuff from before they died, it's just. a lot.

There's so much turmoil between the lunar models and its just awuagahgh it fucks me UP.

well i feel it can be summed up in the simple phrase of "thats bad" but ill try to say saomething even slightly intelligent bc i do have A thought on this which is that, and water is wet, but a lot of people just fucking do not value art in any way or at least not in a way they should. im gonna talk out of my ass a little here but sometimes it feels like so many people take stem and art and separate them in the way that stem is intelligence and art is emotional. or something akin to that. and therefore art is not as valuable, because it doesnt have a tangible effect on "forwarding society" if that makes sense? liek when you think of inventions youre thinking doohickeys and gizmos right. stuff you have to weld together or code. i almost went on a huge tangent about capital and the culture formed around optimization and entitlement but im not gonna do that thats not what this is about. anyway basically what im getting at here is people seem to overlook the way that they interact and engage with art and 1. good art requires intelligence you have to hone your craft to make something the best it can be thats no different here. progress, actual genuine progress in society, is forged from passion. these two are not as separate as people like to think 2. on top of that theres the obvious aspect of like, the starving artist theres money in stem and not in art and therefore art is not as valuable. but who the fuck did you guys turn to when everyone was on lockdown in covid. theres a reason streaming blew up. why do you think propaganda posters exist why do you think that logos exist at all art affects you in the real world even if you dont think of it that way. theres a reason there are classes on all of these things that getting a humanities degree ALSO takes years of study. its not even himiko telling ochako express her worries and herself to izuku, its just accept the chance HE IS GIVING YOU to talk more. What was the point of the togachako fight then?

1- It wasn't about making her have a separated arc with a villain and a different outcome, as she dies sacrificing herself similarly to Tomura.

2- It wasn't about making Ochako finally accept herself and her needs, as after the war she had to have Deku come after her to convince her to express herself, and 8 years laters she still kept things inside.

3- Her confession to Himiko is meaningless, bc we dont see her try to help any other actual villains nor actively remember her -she has the weird dreams, but they only happen to push her (literally) towards Deku; they arent about Himiko and Ochako, they are about "I love you so much, you should be happy with him".

4- It wasn't about making Ochako and Midoriya have a traumatic experience in common to bond over (god I hate this one, but still), besides 429 which ends with a platonic note, theres no mention about it affecting them both (or affecting Midoriya in general), and even tho Ochako is feeling weird in 431, 431!Midoriya doesnt even notice that and only focus in what interests him: talking more to her bc he heard about classmates dating a "inevitability".

Was it about Ochako needing Himiko's permission to be with him? Ochako cant have any form of agency in the actual story and in her actual arc, to the point that she does absolutely none of the things her character was supposed to resolve? She needs Himiko to give her permission to accept an offer Deku gives her, even tho the fight was about expressing her true feeling and not apologizing for being herself. What's the point? I dont understand at all... She cant even do that for herself? She needs a dude that JUST THAT NIGHT remembered she was his friend and helped him a lot and a DEAD GIRL in order to resolve the "romance arc"? Really?

Why the hell does she as a character and they as a pair need so much for such simple thing? They were friends, with the literal same values,

They could have used the little differences they have in order to give them some form of flavor -idk like ochako is fully against attacking and deku isnt opposed to it at all, they could have used this to make them seem more complex and establish their dynamic actually have something deeper to say about who they are separated and together. It would at least make it make sense that theres some tension and doubts about her feelings -like "oh, I really dont like the way he is treating villains but im falling for him... idk what to do about this I dont want to think about this conflict". Instead we got them never discussing anything beyond "you should ask for help!" and "hey I have the exact same perspective and values as you!" but with the drama of star-crossed lovers -they just arent, they are a pretty simple and plain pair, you cant give this kind of ship that level of intensity that 8 years later they just HAVE to get together. They have moments together, but they dont give off romance vibes as its mostly kept vague or completely unrelated to love, and the justification is "oh deku just realized now that she loves her like that!" Tf? That's not a good conclusion, he doesnt know her at this point -how can he STILL love her, when he didnt even try to reach out to her before? How can he feel that way, when he never, ever had thoughts about it beyond blushing the first few times he interacted with a girl?

Even tho I hate this perspective, it would make more sense if they were together but deku admitted he didnt write a lot about it as he was telling a hero story. Boom thats it, harmless canonization, no need to make me feel like I dont understand absolutely anything about anyone ever.

Wish (Disney) vs Lawsuit Arc (SMG4)

I usually compare these two but never in a critical sense so i'm doing that.

Story:

I do think Lawsuit somewhat repetitive in a sense, I can barely call anything unique about it other than its meta, its a basic story and while im not offended or angered by it, it feels stale.

Wish bares that same flaw as it is a simple and somewhat repetitive story.

Narrative:

At first I thought there was but Lawsuit barely felt like it HAD a narrative, I feel very little but I will say this and Wish have similar narratives when it comes to freedom of choice

Wish's Narrative is to give all wishes a chance to be pursued, but it doesnt give of the narrative well enough for others to understand.

Songs:

Objection slaps but its lyrics suck and it does basically nothing to help their case to the point Miyamoto points out the same thing.

Wish... you already know all the songs have bad lyrics (At all costs is good tho fight me) but there is more in abundance... which shouldnt really matter

Protagonists:

Meggy isn't a good focus character, none of the three are in Lawsuit, they just have too much screen time overall and already have too much development in hand, in particular Meggy was at her worst in this arc, her motives like Asha is to give the people their choice, only she does it in the worst way possible by pissing off the villain, Mario and SMG4 are just forgettable but Meggy's too flawed to be a good protagonist.

Asha in contrast... is better by a lot, she actually admits her fault in Magnifico's reign... even if she did nothing to him directly that was Magnifico's own actions, she's still mid but better than Meggy in Lawsuit by a mile, Valentino however is kinda mid and is on the same level as SMG4 in terms of role, Star isnt as good as Mario but he is cute ill give that for him.

Antagonist:

Lawyer Kong is honestly forgettable as a villain, he's not hands on enough for me to say much but he IS a looming threat to the smg4 characters, it's just he does a lot of the same things some smg4 villains did.

Magnifico is a similar case, He does a lot of what other disney villains did but worse, not to say I didnt think he was a BAD villain but he is definetly low on the villains ranking.

in terms of Defeat Magnifico wins because LK did kinda just feel unfinished.

Side Characters:

Honestly the SMG4 cast is too underutilized other than luigi, there isnt much given from the other characters other than gags and the WOTFI challenges

Wish doesn't flesh out the side characters more but I do remember them DOING more than any of the smg4 characters, at least the seven teens and amaya are relevant, Tari even points out she missed out

Allegorial Accuracy:

Lawyer Kong is very much a representation of Nintendo's Worst and it does feel intentional with the jokes

Magnifico does give off a Disney CEO's vibe when it comes to his actions torwards the wishes, however Wish feels unintentionally allegorial so I cannot day wish is better in that aspect.

Comedy:

Lawsuit is mildly funnier.

Wish doesnt make me laugh enough, theres just ONE joke that makes me chuckle.

Ending:

Yeah the redesigns grew on me but man did they not do justice when it came down to it and it ends pretty weirdly which leaves a weird and somewhat bad taste in my mouth.

Wish's ending felt like it showed what Disney SHOULD be as a company, it shows IDEAL disney creativity without the need for restrictions or holding back.

and I do enjoy most of it, I wouldve preferred if star didnt make Asha a fairy godmother but hey, she's probably just gonna help people pursue rather than grant.

Overall:

Lawsuit is a messy rehash of what came before and it shows, despite the effort put into it it is often considered the worst arc, and I only think its 2nd worst.

Wish is... a Disney mess and corporate slop to many, it is relegated to be forgotten as one of the biggest fumbles of the century long reign of Disney.

But in terms of which was better, Im gonna have to say Wish overall, it doesnt frustrate me with its protagonist like Meggy and I can safely laugh at how bad the songs are, Lawsuit just is too frustratingly undercooked for me to think its better.

ok so this has a lot of facets so bear with me. standard disclaimer that this is all based on my personal experiences as a narcissistic sociopath; im not a professional and i dont speak for everyone.

anyway.

firstly, yes we do. i think prosocials/egotypicals do it too to an extent but for different reasons and in different ways.

from an aspd perspective, i get annoyed at people and it is no longer to my benefit to stick around them, ill just disappear in a classic ghosting style. frankly i never get to this point anymore because ive managed to surround myself with people i very rarely if ever find annoying. in the past, when ive befriended people and then theyve frustrated me or ive just generally found them annoying for some reason, ive either slowly extricated myself if i could keep getting stuff out of the person or just totally destroyed the relationship so that they stopped reaching out and i could stop expending energy into dodging them. in my head if someone has pissed me off, it means that its going to keep happening and theyve just finally shown me their true colours so i might as well get out now or detach myself so im not going to emotionally invested enough to get annoyed again in the future. essentially this means i stop caring about them at all. as for how fear factors in; it goes a pretty long way back into people being fundamentally untrustworthy and only beneficial in as much as i can get from them. if im putting up with more than im getting out of it, id just walk away because everyone is out for themselves and of course that applies to me too. thats the way ive been taught the world works, and if im not getting any emotional backlash for doing that, why wouldnt i? it just makes sense. im fundamentally out for myself because no one else has been there to help when i needed them in the past.

from an npd perspective, if someones annoying me its likely because i am thinking of myself as being vastly superior to them and find the annoying quirks of them to be proof of their inferiority. the fact that theyve disagreed with me or fought me on something means they dont have the degree of respect and admiration for me that they should. this usually leads to me discarding them out of frustration and ill push them away by just showing less and less interest in them, or the ways i would that i mentioned above. the fear here, as you may be able to guess, is being wrong and being weaker/worse/unworthy. for me, being right and being more esteemed than my peers was a matter of survival in my childhood, and now if someone is starting to chip into the veneer or perfection ive built and maintained they have become a threat and i have to separate before they see too much and i lose everything.

now i dont know why you - orginal messager - asked this question, or why anyone else might be looking for this informatio. i can come up with a few guesses though, so im gonna add a couple things that applies to prosocials and other things that apply to antisocials and narcissists. but ill tuck that away so you can ignore my advice if you want to and just take the analysis.

prosocials - if you have a friend with either of these personality disorders and they are beginning to withdraw theres a choice before you. firstly, you can let them. you can recognise that this person doesnt want to associate with you anymore for whatever reason and allow yourself to be at peace with that. im sure it hurts, especially after what ive said about my reasons for doing this, but if you think you are better off just letting this one go, i support that and encourage you to just slip away with a clean break.

the other option you have, if you want to try your best to keep that person with you, is to address it plain as day. its uncomfortable, yes, but try not to be confrontational. a simple 'hey, ive noticed you distancing yourself and withdrawing and i wanted to check in and find out why and whether or not we can resolve this'. perhaps its cold of me to ask this of you, im not entirely certain one way or the other. but you deserve to try and make it work if thats what you want, and the only way that happens is by addressing the problems and really, truly understanding that the behaviours we exhibit come from a place of fear and the memory of pain. they are trauma disorders. and while trauma does not excuse harmful behaviours it does no one any favours to ignore that its the root of the problem. maybe your friend will brush you off, thats true. they might not be ready to look deeper and thats their right. at which point youve done all you can and now you need to prioritise yourself. but maybe youll make your friend reevaluate, maybe they want to heal. and you can be such a huge part of that by just asking the questions and really listening to the response. its hard work, i know, but i will always be so grateful for the people who made me stop and look at myself and really see.

the third choice is you pretend its not happening and just wait to see if they get past it and come back. they might, its not implausible, but to me this feels like inviting yourself to be treated poorly again later when symptoms flare again and those fears react to something you dont understand or know about.

pwASPD and/or NPD - im not going to try and tell you that you owe it to the people around you to recover. im never saying that. recovery is your decision and it should only be for you. i chose recovery because i wanted to see what i wasnt able to before, and it has been so fucking hard. but id do it again in a heartbeat. its important to note though that i got lucky. really really fucking lucky, and id be doing you a disservice if i pretended otherwise. on that note, here is my advice for those who want to get better and those who dont:

if you dont, if you dont want to see the fear that is reacting to the perceived threat, if its still too painful to look at, just dont. let yourself be blind to it and find comfort in the ways you can. its not cowardly, and its not pathetic. sometimes forcing yourself to stare into a fire is more damaging than its worth, and you are the only one who can decide if it is or not. only you know how close to that fire you are. perhaps its better to distance yourself from this person even if its just for now, or perhaps its better to leave entirely. it depends on how uncomfortable you feel. but i suggest figuring it out quickly and saving yourself the trouble that will come if you string someone along for too long. its always blown up in my face eventually, for what my experience is worth, so deciding on your next move sooner than later saves you a lot of trouble. but perhaps the perks are better than the blow up later on. who am i to say.

if you do want to recover though, firstly, give yourself some credit. the way you are reacting is because this has kept you alive and safe this long, dont let yourself forget that. you arent ridiculous or pathetic or cowardly or whatever else your brain might be saying you are. you are alive, and you are deciding to grow past your trauma and the responses youve learnt to cope with it and thats fucking huge. dont forget it. now the first thing you want to do is really look at what is making you uncomfortable. something is, but itll take some digging. these survival methods run deep, and tracing back to the root of the issue will take time and a lot of work and so much fucking courage. its not easy, im not going to lie, but you can do it. you are worth the time and the work it takes to get the things you want for yourself. find out whats messing with you and see how you can resolve it, either by discussing it with your friend and letting them support you or just rationalising it with yourself. understand that you are able to keep yourself safe, you just have to figure out what you are afraid of being vulnerable to. youre going to be ok, and for the record, im really proud of you.

obviously to everyone: do whatever the fuck you want to forever. im not here to tell you to change your entire life just because i say you should, even im not that egotistical. im just offering my experiences and observations, its up to you what you do with them.

i feel like when we talk about "third genders" we kind of have to be careful about the emic/etic distinction. like for example with the hijra or the feminielli i think etically they at least WERE pretty unambiguously a third gender category, in the sense that they filled a distinct gendered social role. and you might draw this in contrast to various groups throughout history who did NOT fill a third gender category but do problematize a simple two gender two sexes equivalence (like, people born with penises who filled a female social role, or people born with vaginas who filled a male a social role). like bugis society fits this better imo than the description of them as "five gender society".

but to be clear, i think arguably trans women in various times in the US have occupied an (etic) third gender! but theres an entirely separate question about what the EMIC genders in a society are. like, american culture doesnt really have an emic third gender. but societies with emic third genders have existed (like, i think eunuchs are often essentially this).

whats actually interesting to me is that modernity seems to have dissolved a lot of etic gender distinctions without dissolving emic gender distinctions. like...labor is SO much less gender-separated in modern american society than it was in mosy societies throughout history. i mean, thats not to say its totally unstratified, look at these graphs, but also look at how many things like in the middle. and in particular modern anglo society is generally vocally against this kind of stratification in a way i think is unique to modernity? like, there have been lots of egalitarian societies, but socieities that said "men and women should do the same kinds of work" not so much (i think! if you have counter examples, let me know!)

to be cler we definitely DO still have etic gender but i think the economic aspects have shifted faster than the cultural perception in an interesting way, like, the conception of the ways gender is important in some ways overshadows the extent to which gender is actually important, except of course that percieving gender as important MAKES it important because we live in a society. what was my point. oh. yeah. i dont know enough about indian society to know if hijras form an emic third gender or if they still form an etic third gender (i think the social role for them has mostly atrophied? in large part because of english colonial rule?) BUT i think you can meaningfully say "(some) hijras are women (in the sense that trans women, in the western conception, are women)" AND "hijras form(ed) a third gender".

He knew this and didn't turn it off. When he realized Miles couldn't be reasoned with, he triggered Lyla and asked her to track him. He stalled Miles, and then Lyla responded to him, not knowing doing so would rat him out.

(Remember, Lyla has no reason to rat herself or Peter out. And for Lyla it's a lot harder to argue it was a mistake or an intentional thing to mess with the Society. Because she's an AI. She wouldn't make a human mistake like that, as far as we can see, she's strictly bound by logical code and protocol. And she doesn't really have the agency to just turn on Miguel and the society to rat PETER out intentionally. She's an AI. Not a person. Lyla wouldn't speak suddenly if she knew that Peter didn't know he was being tracked. It's more likely he spoke to her first, and she responded out loud because of that.)

But my theory isn't law.

It's really just an assumption and analysis based on these things here, the scenes we're shown, what we know about Peter, and what we know about The Society/Lyla.

You don't have to go with my theory.

But if your argument is that Lyla getting his location is an accident and Peter was just too dumb to turn off the watch before he spoke to Miles-

That's still not a justification.

Also, Peter is acting BIZARRE here.

You're admitting Peter is an idiot. He got Miles caught because of his stupidity.

But by saying this was all an accident - you're also implying THIS joke was completely sincere.

Why would a grown man be joking at a time like this?

Any body would know to not start laughing and joking at a time like this - when Miles needs to get out of there as soon as possible.

Either he cannot read the situation - which..he knows Miles is in like active physical danger so - or he's acting abnormally and joking because he's actively stalling Miles.

Either he's PLAYING dumb or he IS dumb.

You can take this stance, but in my eyes the stance is still very damning upon Peter.

i use waifu2x to up the quality, not always neccessary but it makes everything a bit easier and prettier. i use firealpaca to edit but you can use whatever you like, im not your mom

yeah i dont always do this. but you should! i should! so google whatever creature you want to turn blorbo into and maybe scroll for a bit to get a feel for what they look like :3

try to find one at a similar angle to your blorbo picture and paste it/open as a layer. look this is close enough ↓

🐾 onto the actual editing! human ear surgery

in case you prefer just one pair of ears. you have to understand the style so you can imitate it.... so look at their hair, maybe theres more colors or gradients than you can see at a glance or something ! i colorpick a bunch of them and put them over their ears, then blend them together with a low opacity watercolor brush

ALSO, notice the.. lighter glowy aura thing around his ear in the og? i try to imitate details like that too, used watercolor for this again

now maybe you wanna make it look like theres something covering that spot, since theres kinda nothing there now. soo if that looks weird to you, (open a new layer and) put some hair over it. i cant tell u how to imitate Any style so just. study it and keep trying

with enstars here the lines are pretty soft, so i go over it with watercolor brush after doing the general shape. with a higher opacity you could probably just use a softer brush from the start, i just like starting with the basic pen

nowww i lower the blorbos opacity to around 50%, bring the reference somewhere i can see and just kinda... start sketching. lot of redrawing and transform tooling here sometimes

TIPS 1. you can clean the lines up at the end so dont stress

2. think of your blorbos new ears as a real tangible part of their body and how they fit on their head since you dont wanna make it look too flat !

3. and for the placement i always end up at roughly one human ear length above their og ears if that makes sense. tried to visualize it

as for inner ear fluffs phew i dont know either. draw a circle and start from there? maybe there are actual animal ears in blorbo artstyle out there you could reference

finally some progress huh. i color the lines in a contrasting color first so i see the lines properly and dont miss anything, then fill it in with the actual color :3 OH and for gradients i just use the airbrush at the ear tips or sides

noww shading! new layer, basic pen brush and try to follow the shapes in the og art. it's best if you pick the colors from the actual picture!!! take notes mentally and just do your best i dont know how to explain this more

taking this as an example, the shading is mostly in pretty simple wider areas, so not a lot of seperate strands in there. and its again pretty soft around the edges of shades and highlights, so i'll go over it with my beloved watercolor. keep things like that in mind so the creaturing blends in well :3

if you like more detail better you can still go with that. or less detail on a complex artstyle. the world is your oyster

what else could there be???? making the lineart more cohesive for example ★ oftentimes it's not one solid color, thicker or thinner than yours, things like that.

for things like piercings or fangs you can just draw them on top i believe in you <3 if its like an intricate earring use the lasso? magic wand? the one that lets you select an area to copy and move on top of your ear layers

+ remember details like shadows, if you put a tail on top of say blorbos leg there's gonna be a shadow under it! put a layer under the tail ones and freehand draw the shadow, OR copy the tail layer, put the copy under the og one and change color/opacity until it fits
