Ajaw ruins his relationship with you - Kinich

Kinich had, somehow, caught your eye enough for you to successfully land a date with him. One date becomes two, and the third one ends in you inviting him over for a drink. He accepts, and before you know it your home becomes a place for him to call home as well. While Kinich wasn't very emotive, he seemed to smile just a bit around you.

However, the couple affections you would expect from him in a relationship weren't coming. Nothing like kissing or hugging, and for a while you think it's because Kinich was not a touchy person. You also knew he was very busy with his work, which was why the first few times he left and told you not to wait for him you didn't think much. At the time, in fact, you were more attracted to him because he was honest with you.

"Don't wait up." He blankly states, every morning he leaves. If you're lucky, he comes back at night time only to sleep - he doesn't make himself any food or drink from your home.

You got suspicious of him when you were hanging out with Mualani, and she brought up the fact someone called Ajaw wouldn't stop nagging at Kinich. When you ask who Ajaw was, rather if this was his boss, Mualani laughs.

"Ajaw probably thinks so, but they bickering too often to do any work together." Mualani tuts. "Do you never hear Ajaw? That voice is so... Annoying to hear!"

"No...I've never met this Ajaw." You hum out, Mualani gasping.

"Tell me your tricks!"

Once you get home from your interaction with your friend, you've had enough time to think. After some long thinking, you come to a decision. You move the stuff that's Kinich's, leaving them by the front door, and add temporary locks in addition to the one your key locks until you can change the lock.

To your surprise, Kinich sounds surprised when he notices his bags out. You refuse to open the door, having more than enough time to waste as you had a day off, and Kinich defeatedly picks up his few belongings before leaving.

"Hah! You should see your face!" Ajaw jeers, Mualani and Kinich groaning out at Ajaws harsh words. "Good thing _ wisened up and realised they can do a lot better than some mortal being that can't even get himself a group of companions!"

"Because you always ruin things." Mualani sighs.

"Hey, I can't take credit for this one! I never even once spoke around _!" Ajaw shrugs, putting some sunglasses on.

"I was hoping to finally get to spend some time with them. I've finally got enough cover for a few days." Kinich states, seeming to realise what Ajaw did. "...Mualani, you know how annoying Ajaw is. Do you know if -"

"Oddly enough no! Honestly, I'm jealous. Ajaw doesn't know when to shut up."

"...It seems they do." Kinich massages his temples, Mualani making eye contact with him.

"...Do you think they were suspicious you were seeing Ajaw? Yuck!"

"Hey, I can hear you, ya know?!"

"It makes sense though. They don't know Ajaw isn't even human, and also isn't mortal."

"Hahaha! Oh boy, even I didn't think keeping my mouth shut around your potential love interests would give this benefit!" Ajaw cackles, seeing Kinich's hand flying towards him. "Hey, what are - AHH!"

You keep getting asked if Kinich is single, each time you saying he wasn't seeing you anymore before they seem excited to pursue a taken man. It's quite concerning, really, you think theres little dignity in being the other person in the relationship.

Kinich tried to talk to you, but each time you saw him you'd make an excuse for being too busy before hearing some weird child cackling and screaming in retaliation to someone reacting to them. As much as his hurt expression spoke to you, you still knew in your mind that Kinich was in a relationship.

Even if he wasn't, you would know in your mind that you were the second choice.

the cold is also something he'd protect you from. always makes sure you have a warm coat, scarf, gloves, and everything. i think inumaki really likes earmuffs too, because then he can whisper about how much he loves you and you wouldn't hear a thing

silence with him is always comfortable, and you completely tune out from the rest of the world whenever you're with him

My personal experience with hades

Whats hades like? honestly, hes great. so great im SO surprised he slipped my mind for these "my personal experiance" posts. honestly, as a hades child i should be ashamed /j. hes very much like a father figure to me either that or a mentor like figure. it makes sense considering im scared of death or thats the really philosophical thing i first got into from a young age (wisened me up and depressed me but hey ho). Hes there in a way thats like "hey, people need to rest. they cant live forever and nothing will ever, ever last forever. and thats okay, you dont need to live forever" How do i see hades? You know when you go to school and you used to have that teacher that gave off really scary vibes but then one kid started talking in that silent class and the teacher actually didnt mind you talking he just had overpowering aura? yep, thats hades. he also reminds me of a stranger gently telling you your wrong, you start worrying whether youve upset him or anyone else but shortly realize no one yelled at you or told you off. you got corrected, theres nothing wrong with that, just keep going. one more one more.. oh oh okay! when you were really young and went to your bestfriends house and their dad was really nice, treated you like his own and everything? yes. all of these remind me of hades Whats the biggest shock when working with hades? just how gentle he is. honestly i was TERRIFED of him when first starting out for no good reason and i realized just how little reason i had to be scared of him. i have a habit of beating myself up ALOT, hades helped to teach me a thought process that illuminates every chance of beating myself up if i know i shouldnt. hes very calming thats for sure. What was the least shocking thing when working with hades? learning to let go and move on, sure im not great at living in the moment (im working on that) but im getting better with realising that the past is gone and time wont wait for me. i have to keep going and i keep going in hades' honor because why shouldnt i? hes great, really.

if im an artist with no following + want to make games for $ (i want to do game dev for work) shld i release games for free at first so ppl have a Taste (idk if ppl will buy even if it looks good n idk hiw to advertise. i hav no monies or job rip

idk really if your games look good and are good then ask for money but if you havent made games before and will be doing amateur work youre probably gonna get better results releasing free stuff for your first things.

if youre going to make eroges like me i thikn itch io is a good place if your game has a good look and you tag it with all the nsfw tags i use like porn and adult and if you relaly wanna be bold tag your transgirl game as futanari for free tourist traffic.. it should help with building audience

ultimately i dont think its about if its paid or free when getting started its more like.. dont spend 5 years working on your first project. aim to do small ones like jam games that take a month or two to make. then you can release a pay what you want free game and a paid game and see how it compares and then use that experience as your information going forwards

also if you're doing free games i thikn pay.what-you-want option with some bonus stuff like for example an artbook like how i do it is a pretty good way to approach free games as well. i dont see it as often as id expect given how nice it is

if you end up making money from your games eventually i think the best thing to invest in terms of games is to pay a good artist to make you nice looking sprites it helps with people taking your game more seriously be it a paid game or a free one

maqrketing is kindof annoying but I'm terminally online and cant stop posting so the tried and true method of posting porn and shitposts about my game on social media is what i do

but seriously IMO the most important thing is just that dont spend years making some bbig project in the dark and start with something small first to get more familiar with your skills and audience and what you even want to do first. even if your big project ends up being amazing its a huge risk and time investment.. it works for some peopel but theres many people who it wont work for

finishign games is hard so imo the most valuable skill is to just finish something like put aside some time in your life for 2 months for a jam and complete a game. if you can do that then it means you can do games and experiment what is the right play to do if your goal is to make money

Alright fine I’m making my voting post

So. let’s say you’re not planning on voting, lemme tackle the two reasons I’ve heard against voting.

Reason number 1: you don’t feel like it does anything. Yeah okay, disenfranchisement feels like shit, I get it. I am just one drop in the bucket and never do I think my votes will be the deciding one. But also voting took me about an hour of googling to be sure I made an informed choice and then I threw that shit in the mail and clocked out. It’s dead easy. So yeah, basically, It’s not like it’s a hard thing to do in my eyes so even if I am having a minuscule effect, it’s not like I’m wasting energy to make that effect. Maybe I’m just privileged to have my state mail me a ballot with two clicks on a website.

Reason number 2: you don’t want to vote for someone who you are morally opposed to. Yeah. Also get that, I fucking hate the actions of the government so often. No matter who I vote for, it usually feels like I’m voting for cops and military spending to be increased no matter what, and that sucks. You are correct to question the two party system, you are correct to be critical, and you are correct to express your dissatisfaction in the system. However, we can still engage with systems that we oppose tactically. The ratchet effect is real, but one side spins, one side keeps the wheel stationary. Both bad, but in my eyes, this reduces harm. And hey, you might find someone outside the two party system that you feel good about voting for, or you might discover your local politicians actually give a shit about you, or you might write in mickey mouse so you don’t have to vote for the unopposed rotten shit running in your area.

It’s once a year, you tell people to fuck off after you’re done it and they’re jumping down your throat with the assumption you didn’t, and then you can move on and get some real work done. 

It’s like... I’ve been asked if I vote because I’m critical of “the good politicians” and the answer is always “yeah, I voted, it’s the bare minimum, have you done anything besides that?”

So yeah, nab a mail in ballot if you can, half ass it if you need to, then move on.
