Literally begging anyone who can vote in US elections to vote, and to vote against Trump. Which means voting for Harris, not abstaining or voting third party.
My family actually did move here from an authoritarian country, where voting literally didn't matter, they literally did throw out your vote, and they literally did assassinate citizens who spoke out against them.
We would all very much like to keep living in a country where those things are not the case!
You know, the same things that Trump and his stooges have openly said they want to do. And two of the main propaganda lines for why people in the US shouldn't vote, which is a lie.
Voting matters. The parties are not the same.
And make sure to vote in down-ballot races!!!
And like. The fact that voting matters in the US is a very real reason for hope. It is something you should genuinely appreciate. We can make a difference.
And a lot of people risked their lives or even died to earn that right, and it's a right not everyone has.

One of the main reasons why I’m voting for Kamala Harris is because sometime within the next couple of years there will be two open seats in the Supreme Court.
Let’s not forget one of the judges that Trump appointed in his first term OVERTURNED ROE V WADE. And the old fucker BRAGS about it:
If he gets back into office, I’m sure we can all anticipate AILEEN CANNON being one of those Supreme Court justices. And if you all don’t know who she is, she threw out the case where Trump STOLE CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS FROM THE WHITE HOUSE:
In a nutshell, if Trump gets into office, he will appoint two younger Supreme Court justices younger than Clarence Thomas, meaning the Supreme Court will be locked HARD RIGHT for AT LEAST 30 years.
By then, that means our potential children and grandchildren (if you even want to have kids) will have LESS RIGHTS THAN US.
Do you really want that?
That’s why I feel with Kamala Harris being President, we can BALANCE OUT the courts!
Please Vote Blue.
Thank You 🙏

I am so sick and tired of seeing all these “I know biden is bad, I know biden has done some bad things but vote for biden because trump will destroy our democracy” posts bc a) clearly our democracy is a sham and b) STOP DEFENDING BIDEN, STOP DOWNPLAYING WHAT HE HAS DONE! you do not need to, nor should you, defend biden to any degree. you can say that we cannot let trump win without that other bullshit. biden is pure evil, he is scum. and part of what makes him so horrendous and disturbing is the charade he puts on like he’s the good guy and trump is the evil, the bad to his good. quite literally the only thing that he has going for him is that his opponent is somehow even worse than him. that his opponent has no pretense of even trying to act like he doesn’t want to fully be a dictator. stop fucking defending biden. stop fucking downplaying all the horrendous, despicable, evil things he has done and is continuing to do. he is fully funding and supporting and enabling a genocide. it helps no one.
and if/when biden loses, he only has himself to blame.
ideally we would all rally behind a third party candidate and the electoral college wouldn’t exist. ideally these wouldn’t be our “choices”. idfk what to do because trump cannot win but how can any of us in good conscience vote for biden’s evil, fascistic, decrepit ass ??
what makes biden so different from or better than trump? nothing!!
- he is unconditionally supporting netanyahu and his genocide of Palestinians
- democrats have done nothing to protect nor help us as roe v. wade was overturned, we still have student loan debt, the cost of living is unaffordable and the minimum wage remains unchanged, biden has increased police presence and funding for police (more so than in 2020, despite the eruption of BLM protests and the murder of George Floyd and his promise to George Floyd’s family that he wouldn’t let his murder become just another number, another hashtag), and so. much. more.
- biden is building off of trump’s policies - specifically and most recently, biden has just announced an executive order to deny asylum requests. the increase in police funding and the further militarization of police was also built off of trump’s policies
the u.s. is an evil sham of a country.

Christopher Mathias at HuffPost:
A coalition of 185 social justice and religious groups published an open letter Monday expressing support for the campus protest encampments sweeping the country in opposition to Israel’s siege of Gaza, and calling on university administrators to end the brutal crackdowns of the student-led demonstrations. “We commend the students who are exercising their right to protest peacefully despite an overwhelming atmosphere of pressure, intimidation and retaliation, to raise awareness about Israel’s assault on Gaza — with U.S. weapons and funding,” the letter states. “These students have come forth with clear demands that their universities divest from corporations profiting from Israeli occupation, and demanding safe environments for Palestinians across their campuses. ” Groups that signed the letter include Gen-Z for Change, Working Families Party, IfNotNow Movement, Young Democrats of America Black Caucus, Movement for Black Lives, Sunrise Movement, MPower Change, Jewish Voice for Peace, Palestine Legal, and the Unitarian Universalist Association.
Some 900 students have been arrested during anti-war encampments and demonstrations at American universities in the last 10 days, per a tally from Al Jazeera — a tumultuous period that mirrors volatile demonstrations against the Vietnam War in 1968, when police arrested at least 700 students. The open letter Monday represents one of the largest shows of support among progressive groups for the burgeoning student protests, and makes clear the divide between establishment Democratic figures and social justice groups when it comes to U.S. support for Israel. President Joe Biden has refused so far to condition the sale of weapons to Israel. “Our communities have been horrified to see the militarized and violent response to students protesting an ongoing genocide funded and supported by our government, and our coalition of organizations join millions of our members across the country in standing in solidarity with the students’ efforts in support of the people of Gaza,” Yasmine Taeb, one of the main organizers of the letter, told HuffPost. Taeb is a human rights lawyer and political director at MPower Change, a Muslim social justice group.
“Instead of attacking young people mobilizing for Palestinian human rights, President Biden needs to listen to the majority of Americans who have been calling on him to stop funding and supporting the atrocities committed against the people of Gaza,” Taeb said.
[...] Israel has killed over 33,000 Palestinians since Oct. 7, when the Gaza-based militant group Hamas launched an attack in which nearly 1,200 Israelis were killed. In January, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel’s siege of Gaza — which has displaced 85% of the population and put the occupied territory on the cusp of famine — left Palestinians at risk of experiencing a genocide. Last week, health officials in Gaza said medics had discovered mass graves at hospitals raided by Israeli troops. “We join [the students] in calling for an immediate and lasting ceasefire and an end to the U.S. government’s and institutions’ role in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza,” Monday’s letter states. “As we stand in solidarity with the students protesting in encampments across the country, we reaffirm our commitment to amplifying their voices, condemn the university administration officials’ violent response to their activism, and demand that universities remove the presence of police and other militarized forces from their campuses,” it continues.
[...] Meanwhile, Republican Party officials and right-wing media figures have accused the demonstrations of antisemitism, falsely equating criticism of Israel with bigotry towards Jews. Although there have been scattered reports of actual antisemitic incidents at or near the encampments, many were not perpetrated by students but by interlopers. Many of the student protesters across the country are Jewish. Far-right agitators, including Christian nationalist activists, have also targeted the encampments, with MAGA pastor Sean Feucht leading hundreds of Christian and Jewish Zionists on a march around the Columbia campus on Thursday. The rally ended with pro-Israel demonstrators yelling through the gate at pro-Palestinian Columbia students. “Go back to Gaza!” they screamed.
More than 185 groups, including IfNotNow, Jewish Voice For Peace, MPower Change, and Working Families Party, signed a letter in support of the campus protests against Israel Apartheid State's genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

2,977 civilians died tragically in 9/11, 343 being firefighters.
Since then it has been “Never forget.” for over 20 years, the US attacked and destabilized an innocent country, and white ppl have further pushed the narrative that Muslims and Middle Easterners are all “evil terrorists”.
Now, in less than 6 months the OFFICIAL death toll in Gaza exceeds 30,000, half being CHILDREN. At least 200 doctors have died and many were TARGETED by IOF soldiers. I have seen children dismembered, maimed, sniped, run over, crushed, starved, scalped, exploded, burned, and strung up on the side of a building.
I have seen men, women, and children desperately digging through the rubble to find their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, friends, lovers etc.
I have seen brave doctors run outside to save injured civilians while at extremely high risk of being shot by snipers.
I have seen a father carrying BAGS full of his children’s remains.
I have seen a young girl, no more than 9, with a leg, an arm, and a hand blown off while her scalp hangs from her skull.
I have seen doctors speak out against the cruelty and ethnic cleansing while surrounded by the bodies of those they tried to save.
I have seen hundreds of pictures of NICU babies who were going to die soon because the hospital was about to run out of electricity.
I have read the first hand story of a father who traded one of his children for one of his brother’s children so that if one group dies at least one of their children would make it.
I have read posts from lgbt+ KIDS talking about how they regret not kissing their crush because they just watched them DIE.
I have seen the public posts of IDF and IOF soldiers where they show off the underwear and lingerie they looted from the drawers of the Gazans they are massacring.
I have listened to the screams of mothers after hearing their child is dead.
I have watched a teen boy’s gaze harden into something cold and empty after his entire family died in front of him, leaving him completely alone.
I have seen an IOF soldier throw a father and his baby into a giant wood burning oven just for fun.
I have seen many children with shell-shock, shaking because their minds and bodies can’t comprehend the horrors they have experienced.
I have seen tanks run over women actively giving birth on the roads of Gaza.
I have watched oldest siblings, no more than 11, take on the responsibility of keeping their younger siblings safe. I cannot comprehend how incredibly stressful that must be.
A little 6yo girl was trapped for 2 weeks in a car surrounded by the dead bodies of her family as they rotted.
This is all done with American tax dollars while companies like McDonalds give free food to Israeli soldiers. We are quite literally paying for this. 20% of your work and hard earned money is paying for the genocide of innocent people in Palestine.
This is NOT a political issue. This is a human rights issue.
Pro-Palestine is Pro-Humanity.

I'd say sorry for the sudden political spam but I'm really not. We finally have a good option and we need to grab it with both hands and run with it as far as we fucking can. So here's some facts that people seem to be ignoring when they say you shouldn't vote for Harris.
Harris was not a fucking cop, she was a district attorney and attorney general. Stop fucking saying otherwise, it's misinformation and you need to understand that.
Harris is documentedly pro LGBTQ+. When she was elected Attorney General, she co-sponsored legislation to ban the gay and trans panic defense which passed. She also officiated the first same-sex wedding in California after Section 8 was overturned 20 years ago.
In her entire time as District Attorney she never sought the death penalty. She also created the San Francisco Reentry Division, with the first of its kind reentry program Back On Track for first-time nonviolent offenders. 200 people graduated from it with less than 10 percent going on to commit another crime, compared to the 53 percent of California drug offenders that would do so in less than 2 years after release.
When she was elected to Attorney General of California, she introduced the Homeowner Bill of Rights, considered one of the strongest protections nationwide against aggressive foreclosure tactics.
In 2015, Harris's California Department of Justice became the first statewide agency in the US to require all of its police officers to wear body cameras.
So to reiterate:
Fucking vote for Harris.
Voting third party right now is not the fucking way. All it's gonna do is split the fucking votes that we need to keep Trump out of office. None of the third party candidates have the numbers to actually beat Trump. It's not going to fucking happen, stop saying it will because you're lying to yourself and others.
Not voting at all is even fucking worse than voting third party and you're an idiot if you think otherwise. Not voting isn't a fucking protest like some idiots are spouting. It's not making a fucking point. It is giving the fuck up and being a coward about it. It is actively choosing to not make things better when you have the fucking chance and I am disgusted that people actually think it's a good idea when we are on the verge of a second term for a literal traitor and convicted felon that actively thinks disabled and LGBTQ people should die.
Someone is still going to be President. Full stop, that is how elections fucking work. THERE IS STILL GOING TO BE A PRESIDENT. There is still going to be a president whether you vote or not. And our only real options right now are Harris or Trump. So use your fucking vote to make things better in the only way we can right now.
Yeah, there are things Harris needs to change and things she isn't on the right side on. But Trump is worse in every possible fucking way. So we need to lock this down and push for improvement, not decide shit is hopeless and fucking give the bad guy the win now that we finally have a fucking shot!
You didn't want to vote for Biden? Great, you're not! Now take the fucking miracle that just dropped into our fucking laps and run with it!

A Major Muslim American organization, Emgage Action, has endorsed Kamala Harris, and advised against third party votes!
Though not uncritical of Harris, they have clearly recognized what the priority is- stopping the virulently bigoted fascist maniac who is one bad day from becoming "dictator on day one".

Celebrities are disgusting, they are greedy, they are selfish.. stop pretending they are anything more and stop idolizing one of the worst things a person can be.. look at the things they buy and the things they wear and remind yourself where that money instead could have gone to.. they don't care about you, I can't stress that enough, they profit off you and nothing more.. blockout2024 is incredible, please participate... Palestine is dying, they did nothing with their power and money and that is nothing short of evil.. block them, stop giving them money and give to Palestine and other people in need.. don't be like a celebrity and give your money and attention to the people that matter, because they sure as hell won't.. they never have

Okay the election tags are trending right now and I just have to say, stop doomscrolling. Looking at posts of people being bitter and hopeless and placing blame on each other without offering solutions or ways to help is not going help in any way.
Everyone’s acting like we’re gonna start digging our graves. I even saw one person say not to say anything negative about the incoming party to protect yourself. Which is just, the absolute worst possible way to react in this situation.
I saw people blaming gen z, I saw people blaming third party voters - for the love of God stop doing that. People who see that Harris and Biden are actively supporting and funding a genocide are not to blame for not voting for her. Gen Z should not be called conservatives and Nazis (as a whole, I’m fully aware that a lot gen z people are like that, but they’re a minority) when in reality they’re the ones that were doing the most for Palestine (student protests ring a bell?).
If you want someone to blame, blame the democrats. People have been saying for a year that they will not vote for them if they continue to support a genocide, and they chose to ignore it. They decided that their imperialist and genocidal agendas were more important than appealing to their base, and this is the result.
So let them know! Call! Write! Tweet! Get in their face and tell them that if they don’t start listening to their base and actually implementing progressive policies this will happen again! Now is our chance to force democrats into a corner, don’t waste it on pointing fingers at each other!
It’s okay to mourn, it’s okay be depressed for a little, but when it turns into this - into defeatism and bitterness and toxicity and turning against each other, when we need to stand undivided more than ever - that’s a problem. That’s when you need to stop doomscrolling, and take action.
We’re looking at four years of a Trump presidency and we’re not gonna survive if we act like this. TAKE ACTION! FIGHT! Spit in the eye of anyone that tries to take away your rights. Every single conservative law or legislature that’s proposed in the coming months needs to be met with loud opposition.
For the love of God - resist! It’s like Americans forgot the meaning of the word! If scrolling through these tags fills you with a sense of dread, then get out of them! They’re not good for anything and they’re not going to help!
We can fight this, and we will fight this. Organize and take action. Defeatism is not an option

Can also report my super conservative, life-long republican and Trump-voter (but childless) aunts are extremely offended by Vance's cat lady comments and while they won't vote for Kamala I think they're going 3rd party this year.
Look, maybe we're being too hard on the guy. America is so polarized, y'know. The Republicans called for unity!!!! (at least until they forgot it ten minutes later). And truly, JD Vance is a unifying figure for us. Because hating JD Vance is apparently a nonpartisan American activity. Bless him, bringing the country together like this.
