Billy has a few aliases and fake names he has used, something any part time radio personality host, part time superhero, and full time menace of a child should have a fair amount of.
Joesph Williams is the name he always used when police caught him. Be it shoplifting in his homeless days to get through the month trying not to starve, being caught place a child shouldn’t be during the school day, or the one time he broke into a patrol car. Joesph Williams was the name he gave so he didn’t build a juvenile record on his real name, it as close enough to the real thing without being it for billy to easily remember.
The Whiz kid, famous boy reporter in the after school hours for Whiz Radio with Marvelously provided safety tips for the average Fawcettizen dealing with mundane magical issues or coming into their own (the close proximity to The Rocks entrance and the near weekly exposure to magic has a lot of it surfacing in Fawcett) Everything from why you absolutely shouldn’t summon and Hellhound to leave your enemies a flayed corpse and basic protection spells for the next time the Monster Society of Evil rears their ugly heads. Billy loves being the Whiz Kid, people actually listen to him talk magic and its the one time all his magical study as magics champion gets recognized since Captain Marvel doesn’t always need spells to punch a bad guy into prison.
Captain Marvel, the guy the whole world knows. The symbol of pure and perfect heroism Billy always saw in his heroes and try’s to emulate the best he can, never curses or has a mean word to say. Always there to save the day and comfort the people he’s saved when they’re frightened, doing his absolute very best to be the hero he’d love as a kid and the hero he needed every time “Do Good And Good Will Follow” never seemed to work for little orphan Billy.

my brain was thinking soulmate au again sorry sometimes soulmate brainrot takes over my life for a few weeks
I am a simple person with simple needs and soulmate aus fill so so many of those needs
my brain was thinking about that whole know things about your soulmate concept which in this case also morphed into knowing things they like and such and just sometimes getting an urge to do something that if you were with them would make them happy and so a tiny Percy just walking into the kitchen and making cookies even though a few minutes before he would not be able to tell you the recipe he was about to make
Molly only realizes once he turns the oven on and legit the only reason he doesn't get in trouble is her realizing it's a soulmate vision when he stops her from 'fixing' something he's doing 'wrong'
at which point she starts asking pointed questions to try to pull as much information about who it is out of him before he snaps out of it
because in my mind this is happening when Percy's like old enough to talk well but young enough that no sane person would want him using the oven so he's one of the first to get one and she's excited
my first thought was Moody/Percy again
where Percy outright even tells Molly his soulmate's name is Alastor but she doesn't put two and two together until Arthur comes home and says something that tips her off
like idk them tasting like some he's had before specifically with Moody or something or about something having happened that day to him and she's just oh no- and makes Percy go upstairs so she can break the news to Arthur even if it's still technically hypothetical

I wasn't even keeping up with the MHA manga but I did read the last three chapters without context and I've already decided how to fix the ending for my Self Insert
#mha manga spoilers#bnha manga spoilers#The League is not dead first of all that's a really Fucked Up ending#Instead they all end up in Critical Condition and the Public is told they're dead#(Including my S/I who is currently in captivity for conspiring with the League)#Jump cut to months later All Might comes to visit me and says there's someone who wants to see me#So cuffed and blinded I ride in his car to a secure location#Said location turns out to be a spare dormitory on UA grounds#And inside- is the League!#They'd been waiting until they'd all woken up and been released for the Hospital before letting us all see eachother#We're all sat down (piled on one couch holding on however we can) and told the situation#The plan was change our names and ship us off to another country with dedicated surveillance#So we can have our second chance in piece#But rebuilding Japan is taking a LOT of resources so we all have to sit tight at UA until they have funds to spare again#Which will be a few years#In the meantime we get lots of visitors! The Todorokis come over every night to make dinner#All Might and Izuku come to sit and talk with Tomura an hour or so a day#Ochaco spends every spare moment between Rebuild work with Himiko either in the house or wandering school grounds#And after probably a full year or better of this life Nezu comes to me with a proposal of making the League official UA staff#They have a perspective that is very important to young heroes now a days and plenty of experience on the field#It's keep us under surveillance without forcing us to move away from the families we've just reconnected to#And that's how both Tomura and Izuku can be UA Teachers together <3

#fallout#okay first of all her full maiden name is lenore dubrovhsky#she's somehow related to the russian diplomat who is the grandfather of natalia dubrovhsky#maybe his niece? idk but she immigrated to the us after meeting nate during his tour because she claimed she was IN LOVE#i imagine she was in her late teens and nate was in his early 20s#and she falls for him and he promises he'll help her with going to college in the US and they'll have an equal marriage yadda yadda#so they get married and nora becomes a lawyer#so they've been married around seven years and she's doing her training as a legal secretary when oops! she becomes pregnant#(nate sabotaged her birth control but shhh she doesn't know that)#so nate persuades her into putting her career on hold just for a little while until they can start putting their son in daycare#(shaun takes heavily after nora's side of the family to the point nate jokes about whether his DNA had any say at all)#(he also later joins the army and dies in action)#so nora's being kept at home all the time. taking care of the kid. cooking all the meals. cleaning the house. barely any time for herself#and she gets so frazzled she gets into a minor car accident while taking shaun home from the doctor#nate freaks out and confiscates her car keys so now she can barely get out of the house without him on her arm#barely any adult social interaction and any family she could have had keeping her company was all the way over in russia#so she has a quickie with a door-to-door salesman and when her next kid pops out with red hair#the lack of resemblance to nate stops being funny#he agrees not to leave her but says he can't trust her at home alone anymore so he gets her a job at shaun's elementary school as a teacher#this happened around when shaun was 11 and he's harbored a hatred for his mom and his sister ever since#nate promised to raise the girl like his own but he's distant with her which rubbed off on shaun#so the girl. i'm calling her annabelle. the really beautiful landscape/skyscape animation in makoto shinkai's works tends to be the big thing i see focused on and that is understandable and deserved like the weather and lighting effects are unREAL but i do think we should also appreciate how absolute insane the plotlines of his original movies get. at least two movies with in universe catastrophes with major ecological implications. the guns and explosions. theres that one movie i havent seen yet with the guy who turns into a chair (?)

Just got back from seeing Water For Elephants on Broadway (absolutely fantastic, instant new favorite) and I have a lot of thoughts but the loudest and most chaotic one is The toxic polycule of Jacob, Marlena, and August.

So I'm on playthrough #4 of this game playing as Astarion this time around with the intention of romancing Wyll and man, picking all the good and heroic options as Astarion especially in Act 1 really is a case of "He would not fucking say that" bc Wyll likes all the good and heroic options and Astarion is. not that lolol
One thing is by chance I found a workaround on how to not make Wyll a devil and still keep Karlach alive. It worked but now im wondering if making him a devil would of been better narratively? Also I just got used to the horns that I kinda miss them. I do have a save thats right before doing the workaround but I did quite a bit of stuff so is it worth it?

Why?' 'Yes with a Y! :D' made me laugh#also despite playing a character with 8 charisma my irl charisma is coming through the game again bc both Lae'zel and Shadowheart want me#theres options I can pick for both of them to initiate their romance and after beating some orcs Lae'zel turn on the '!' sign so id do it#i didn't. im not going for her yet. but this is like 4 playthroughs now. i gotta do her route next#also i gave gale one (1) artifact and barely had him in my party but his first scene initiated#i turned him down so fast bc i already did him in my last playthrough. i need a break lolol#wyll meanwhile is at exceptional affinity with me but hasn't said anything yet.... maybe after i take care of the goblins he will?

a thing i have JUST realized, isn't the human brain amazing lol -- is that we talk about izzy's thoughts and feelings on ed, on blackbeard, about how he serves one but not the other, etc, etc, and how it means he never loved or even respected the True Man Underneath It All but rather the bloodthirsty legend of a pirate--
e x c e p t izzy is not the first person who makes the distinction between edward and blackbeard. it's ed himself, when he says "actually, i want to be called edward from now on".
before, when he was with stede, it didn't bother him at all that the crew called him blackbeard. that was his name! he was blackbeard, what else would they call him. only stede and izzy got to "ed" or "edward" him, because they were closer -- stede was his first close friend, izzy was his friend and first mate for decades. (note that fang was with ed the longest, but he doesn't call him by his name! you gotta deserve it.)
izzy doesn't do anything inappropriate or out of proportion when he snaps at the crew to call him blackbeard or captain -- that's who ed is, is supposed to be, to them. they're not friends! they even call stede captain, and have you seen that guy?
it's ed that makes the connection between his current state: draped in fuchsia robes, singing sad songs about how sad he is, showing his vulnerable and emotional state in front of people who are supposed to respect and trust his authority. and by that he splendidly loses that authority, to the point that wee john calls him ed, and when izzy snaps at him for disrespecting his captain, ed goes no, actually, yknow what, do call me edward! and then he goes on to encourage the crew to sing as well and hey, actually, why are we being pirates! we should do a talent show!
the distinction is clear here. before all that, in izzy's eyes, his boss was blackbeard, captain, ed/edward -- different names for different occasions, but one and the same guy. but now? this guy singing songs in a pink bathrobe doesn't want to be called blackbeard, he's edward! ed time now! we're going to eat marmalade and express our feelings in front of everyone! and hold talent shows! Ya Hoo !
yeah, it's no wonder izzy doesn't want that. he wants his competent captain back, and this current dude, edward? he's not him. so, uh,
#shrimp thoughts#AND it's not izzy that's the final nail to magenta ed's coffin. it's the lads calling for EDDIE to come and sing for them again#right after izzy -- his first mate! the guy who followed him for all those decades with only mild complaining and an occasional#fed up tirade here and there -- tells him he has no reason to respect him the way he is now. if that's the way with izzy -- then fuck!#what about these guys? those basically strangers to whom he stupidly bared his soul? who are treating him like a source of entertainment?#man's just lost izzy's support. he doesn't have stede (the guy who has the sort-of loyalty of the crew). and the crew respects and admires#blackbeard -- but ed? eddie? uh oh.#look at his face and body language before and after the 'hey eddie give us another song!'. before: he's clearly upset by what just happened#but he starts to fix the robe on himself. starts trying to deal with it and stuff. but the second he hears that one sentence? he freezes.#he turns his head towards the source of the voices -- the crew chanting his name -- very slowly. his eyes are barely moving#this is not to say that izzy's words had no effect on him because they clearly did! but he did not go full kraken to make a point that izzy#is wrong and actually pink and karaoke are good. he goes kraken because attack is the best defense. and it's so fun when#everyone laughs at your jokes and claps when you sing! it's just that people are fickle as fuck :/#tl;dr the bekrakening is a complex process that doesn't have its source in one grumpy first mate who just wanted everyone to do their jobs#but rather in a fuckton of factors from which one was -- yeah -- stede abandoning ed after he bared his feelings to him. leaving him a#confused raw wound. which would be fine if ed was a teenager but unfortunately he's a scary pirate who loves a good maim#this post is soooooooo long oh my god i could have fit it in three short paragraphs probably
