now i do need lantis or whoever to start giving me some liella solo albums right meow because 1) i want to hear fanmixes 2) i love these seiyuus' voices and i'd love to really dive in and 3) because figuring out what the hell harmonies/layering/whatever theyre doing in some of those group songs........ scary...........................................
#yeah the wild stars svp im working on is largely references off umis and hanayos mixes LOL#umi because she sings that song pretty clearly and hanayo because the contrast between the parts is very audible#the truth come out..... i looove using solo mixes to reference for my vsynth vocal data <3#i also want more of those niji instrumental albums. i know aion no uta official instrumental is coming. i know its coming.#now that i think about it. do we know if were getting more aqours solo albums after this year? or are they gonna take another break#i hooooooope we get more. i want those SUBUNIT SOLOS so BAD

I do have an absolutely unreasonable pipe dream of a future where basically most love live songs have some kinda vocal synth ust type vocal data available. and this is absolutely unreasonable because
#yes i do have a playlist on my phone for every single love live franchise song#i also have playlists for the groups. and the subunits. not individual girls. yet#this isnt the true one tho - my actual one is called 'all love live' so its near the top of the alphabet LOL#this was a duplicate i made that i removed all extra versions of songs#(post member added versions of songs - remixes - special piano versions - etc)#purely to get a loose idea of how many songs there are#BUT i did keep the school idol musical songs and the guided fate paradox songs in there#but also its missing a few special songs that are from the animes like honnochoppiri etc#and also some that like. just came out today. hasu does NOT let up hfdjkrlfjfds#but this should be. vaguely accurate. kinda. theres at least 674 songs#probably more <3#but i still dream. i still dream. this is why im learning how to midi. this is why. so people can make their synthesizers sing love live <3

unmixed untuned rikka ai on auto and rikka standard lite on manual default settings BUT THIS is what i was thinking about yesterday when i was talking about wild stars type covers with different versions of the same voicebanks, different engines/differe characters but same voice providers/etc..... i think it could be fun......
#vocal synth wip#guy who likes to make 90% of a svp and never finish it voice: so i started a new svp#THIS ONE actually this was easy as FUCK#i think theres a few notes i have off and i need to figure out how to order all the tracks for the overlapping bits near the end#and i havent thought about the harmonies yet LOL (im hoping they are a third up or down... please be a third up or down)#in my journey of learning how to make my own vocal data ive been learning why so many usts are like also vsynth songs#more likely to have consistent easy to translate to software timing... because it was made in software LOL#some singers in like ballads and shit do some crazy borrowed time ass stuff#and i get scared. i get scared. i dont know what a time signature is. passes away#but a lot of muse songs - especially some of the earlier ones - have simpler stuff going on that makes it nice and easy to figure out <3#i do want to do more liella songs someday but they do some scary harmonies in some and i get. scared :D#i will learn tho..... i will learn........

ouhhhhhhhhhh and i really hope nakuru and natsume itsuki sv2 open a door for more utaite voicebanks again..... even on something like utau, i would loooove more utaite utauloids auuuuuuuuuwwwhhhhh
#theres only like four i can think of rn. and three are win100 ones LOL BUT STILL#v6 does have a lot of vtuber banks - voisona has a few too#and plenty of vtubers are also utaite as evidenced by the fact that they have vocal synths LOL#but on the more exclusively utaite end theres mostly like. a few old utau and. ace. unfortunately#@utaite and others stop making ace voicebanks pleeeease. controversies aside i also just dont care for the software model#i dont really do subscriptions and i reeeeeeeaaaaally dont do non-local rendering#dont go where i cant follow.....................

i do love vocal synth duets where its between two voicebanks of the same character - a la utau teto & synthv teto...... so cutes
#shes the main one i see because of her history and sentiment and the contrast in voices because of the different synthesis methods#plus ive also seen a few every version of miku covers which are soooo so fun#i think other stuff could be nice too.... i think an ia v3 + ia ai cover would be kinda sweet.....#also some songs with the same voice providers could be neat.... maybe a no7 + meika sisters song.... a sora + macne coco sisters....#hee hee. hee hee hee#ouuuuhhh i should make a wild stars ust.... the solos of that song have th seiyuu singing in character and then in a contrasting voice or#out of character together as like a back and forth.... i think thatd be a fun song to work with for that kinda thing....

god and speaking of sv2 vocals halo sounds CRAZY good in every single song ive heard her used in so far like they packed so much expression in that thang. we are reaching new heights of giggly cute character voice vocals...... new innovations.....
#it sounds funny to gush over a voice type like this while vocal synthesizers are literally a sea of moe voices#we do have our pick. but man the new picks are getting good!!!!!!!#synthv has been doing great things with unique anime idol-y character sounding voices like this#like rikka and such. but sv2 is taking it to a new level. im so excited for more new vocals to be announced and old stuff to be upgraded#im particularly a sucker for the like high-medium but warm and rounded nasally 'giggly' voice type i like to call it#like popy rules and i looooove rikka (rikka can lean pretty midtoned at times too which is neat!!) and now heres halo#who has such a good chesty tone in some of the vocal modes ive heard. and her whispery modes are GORGEOUS#actually the brand new sv2 only vocals all seem to have some kinda really nice whisper mode#we are reaching whisper technology previously though impossible.......... explodes on impact

i need to remember to start specifying that when i refer to ia i almost exclusively am talking about her voisona/cevio 2.0 voice (and occasionally her 1.0 when talking about how good it sounds in certain electronic genres) because that really is the quintessential ia voice for me, maybe a little too much because i keep forgetting v3 exists LOL
#I DONT DISLIKE V3 IA i mean i always found it disappointing as a huge lia fan but its not bad#but its also like. not notable to me. ive said this before im picky with v3 voices because the noise like eats up#so much of the little details in the voice samples that they end up a liiiiiittle bland for me#compared to v1-2 and 4. 5 is also fine but theres so few voicebanks lowkey that i cant tell the engine noise as well RIP#but i like plenty of songs with v3 ia. shes fine. shes pretty neutral!#the haterism on cevio ia is a lot tho. her 1.0 was rough but usable for certain niches#but her 2.0? flawless. perfect. wonderful <3 <3 <3#i guess its cause no one's checked out her 2.0 since it was released. you probably had to be paying attention to even know#HELL i didnt even know her 2.0 was coming out until like a day or two before it was released and i own her HKDSLJFKda#i need to make some ia voisona covers tho. i need to spread the word. of how good she sounds with the 2.0 vocoder#i need to spread my vocal synth gospel. i need to show these synths potential......

i love how much of a retro sound sv2 kiyoteru can have in his vocals. 20-something with the voice of a wizened old man type singer.
#sora and ia ai and asterian and him can start a band. of vocal synths with mature sounding voices and younger looking designs#also am i insane but asterian doesnt look that old. well i guess it depends on the art#some official art he looks well into his thirties maaaaybe 40 and other times he looks way younger LOL#well i guess hes a god so he can look however way he wants

Spit - Valendar feat. Miku - ssssspit yoOoou ooouuuUtt...... sspit yooOU OUuuuuttttt. chorus is so addicting, ive so been in love with the instrumental synthy sounds and how seething the vocals sound <3
Sleeper - RIXIELAND feat. Gumi - thai gumi song???? a really stylish rock sound!! i love the chorus especially, something about the melody is so good
Just Like Me - HilmSVLA feat. Yi Xi - i know nothing about analogue horror but this song is the most perfect 2010 COD soundtrack 20-50 year old gym rat dark AMV type rock song I've heard in years. the main four note synthy guitary sounding riff is so good it's unlocking the nu metal frontman-looking guy i was always meant to become (i need big ass cargo shorts??)
I'M OLD?! - Vocallord feat. Kasane Teto SV - the most 26-year-old type song I've ever heard (compliment) (i'm 26) i really love the progression of this tune, cathartic indie rock-y sound!
KALEIDOSCOPE - Pandora-P feat. Kasane Teto SV - this first vocagathering beta has been so good for rock - both harder and lighter stuff! I love the magnitude in particularly of this harder song.
words and words - 707c feat. Kasane Teto UTAU - randomly generated hiragana for the lyrics??? and its catchy as fuck????? a little bit of a math rocky type vibe???????? awesome
Adorador - Kiwwiraptor feat. Chis-A & LIEE - good lord. have i ever told you guys one of the fastest way to my heart is syncopated beats? I'm sure i have LOL anyway this song is beautifully produced and so like, sexy and full of yearning.... and the bed spring squeak beat in the end is such a classic
IDOLIZE - Aphelia & Iriku Atushi ft. Qing Su 2 - hyperpop-y type rock-y situation??? this is awesome. also you might be noticing i really like vocal synth songs with human vocals in it as well (singing or in this case, speaking) LOL i like the contrast!! so cool
SILVER COINS (EXECUTION) Goigana - feat. Yi Xi - loooove this dark synthwave-y 80s movie electronic soundtrack sound...... so good, especially that like, triplet synthy bass beat - awesome
#vocagathering has been so fun as a listener!! so much good music#also its so fun to see the trends. by god i knew sv was our best friend in the english speaking world but WOWZA#sv really does reign upon us.... it is probably one of the easiest UIs and phoneme systems for the largely american userbase it seems#and also like i said before its pretty rock-y in here!! really good stuff#now my only unsolicited advice for all participants - if ur gonna put it on streaming pleeeeease put it on bandcamp too#or ko fi or itch io or anything ANYWHERE im begging you. im begging you. on my hands and knees#i would like..... ur wonderful song.... within my mp3 player......... please.....
