one of the worst things about fandom is when people headcanon a certain character as gay and suddenly that becomes the only valid, practically unofficial-official canon reading of that character's sexuality. gay. just gay. character has shown romantic or sexual desire for women? it's comphet, don't worry, he's still gay. character isn't interested in sex much at all? it's because he hasn't fucked a man, obviously. character has lots of women friends? they are the hags to his fag, he's gay, why are you even trying. and it all seems like a very Transformative and Woke way to read a character until you step back and realize how much biphobia, acephobia, misogyny, and transphobia are baked into the adamant refusal to accept The Character as anything other than gay. it's horrendous, actually. but you will get shot in the streets for this.

oh i was getting scared that the music in Umamusume was just not it because as someone who mains idol series that is very important to me in gacha games and the few concerts id actually watched while playing were kinda meh to me not like bad but just sorta like yeah thats fine that does the job

but nothing id really seek out for my own music collection (which is the real test for if im into a multimedia project because i can completely fall out with something but them still listen to the music frequently d4dj, A3, Marginal #4, am i caught up with any of you? no but i listen to a decent amount of music from all of them)

but i just watched one that won't come to global for awhile that im very into so now im thinking it might just be a little bit early game-ness

i was looking up Percy on Mercari as i do every once in awhile just in case something fun pops up and someone sold all the minifigs from this set and i went immediately like "oh it's just an assortment, neat" to Wait is that Marcus" to "wait that's not the Percy minifig i have" turns out they are in that main tower set together its like 76454 idk i don't know much about lego i have never had the patience for that kind of play but i still really like the minifigs because i like lego games and movies kdfjkds

hc that pureblood magical society wasn’t as homophobic as ours. there’s no solid reasoning behind it, i just think that since the main focus was on having a pureblood marriage and kids you’d mostly choose a spouse out of duty, not love, so people didn’t really care that much about same sex relationships between pure bloods compared to how they treated muggleborns. as long as you maintained the image of a proper pureblood family, no one really questioned what your spouse was doing on the side or condemned it ( and i just don’t like reducing magical pureblood society to a copy of the muggle upper class, cos the muggle upper class was shaped heavily by religion, and pureblood society just wasn’t)

and tbh i feel like dating or even just hanging out with a muggleborn would’ve been seen as way more scandalous than having a couple of pure blood gay affairs

idk if this makes sense, but it does in my head

like listen there always was gay people, men and women, whatever. obviously there were married ones too and some of them just couldn’t suppress it. i mean anyway they had it. the only question was whether it was seen as awful or just kinda tolerable

what was absolutely intolerable was muggleborn affairs. that was the real sin, the main evil

and pure blood gay affairs like yeah it’s not ideal but if you’re doing the marriage thing and popping out kids no one really cares what you do after dinner with your pureblood friend
