Captain Marvel gets cursed to live by fae rules for a short amount of time, no biggy- he already lives by most of them either due to his own magical freakiness or just cuz he lives in Fawcett and would really rather not risk it.
It’s all going great till, Oh No! Superman decides to reveal his full legal name to his close friend and colleague. Shazam now owns Superman’s name, shit gang
Now, the person who cursed him wasn’t very good at cursing people, so Billy only really has to follow approximately- let’s say like 1/3 of every fae rule.
So when Clark Joseph Kent gives him his full name, he only has the right to take one out of three name. Clark isn’t overly happy about the whole situation, he quite likes his name, means alot to him, so Billy is like-
“Chill, chill, it’s fine”
Then they switch middle names.
This is all just a big post to talk about the fact that William Joseph Batson and Clark Joseph Kent have the same middle name and I find that really funny for no good reason

Marvelous Bats tidbit #3
Billy has a few aliases and fake names he has used, something any part time radio personality host, part time superhero, and full time menace of a child should have a fair amount of.
Joesph Williams is the name he always used when police caught him. Be it shoplifting in his homeless days to get through the month trying not to starve, being caught place a child shouldn’t be during the school day, or the one time he broke into a patrol car. Joesph Williams was the name he gave so he didn’t build a juvenile record on his real name, it as close enough to the real thing without being it for billy to easily remember.
The Whiz kid, famous boy reporter in the after school hours for Whiz Radio with Marvelously provided safety tips for the average Fawcettizen dealing with mundane magical issues or coming into their own (the close proximity to The Rocks entrance and the near weekly exposure to magic has a lot of it surfacing in Fawcett) Everything from why you absolutely shouldn’t summon and Hellhound to leave your enemies a flayed corpse and basic protection spells for the next time the Monster Society of Evil rears their ugly heads. Billy loves being the Whiz Kid, people actually listen to him talk magic and its the one time all his magical study as magics champion gets recognized since Captain Marvel doesn’t always need spells to punch a bad guy into prison.
Captain Marvel, the guy the whole world knows. The symbol of pure and perfect heroism Billy always saw in his heroes and try’s to emulate the best he can, never curses or has a mean word to say. Always there to save the day and comfort the people he’s saved when they’re frightened, doing his absolute very best to be the hero he’d love as a kid and the hero he needed every time “Do Good And Good Will Follow” never seemed to work for little orphan Billy.

idea: billy keeping Important League Stuff in miss bambis apartment for safekeeping cuz the rock of eternity has WAY too much evil stuff, and now all the magic users think that miss bambis magic-catwoman
Miss Bambi: “Billy, whats that?”
Billy: “Space cancer in a bottle!”
Miss Bambi: “Oh… I see.” *takes a drag of her cigarette* “Well, put it with the others.”
Billy: “Thanks, Miss Bambi!” *runs in and puts it with the other bottles full of space cancer*
William Joseph Batson is the World’s Mightiest Mortal. He’s also a 12-year-old boy who doesn’t have many adults in his life that he trusts. That’s why he leaves highly dangerous mission stuff with Miss Bambi. Because he trusts her. Also because he doesn’t think he should have a bunch of dangerous stuff in the Rock. Some of it should be in other places.
Anyways, other magicians who visit Fawcett all get concerned whenever they pass by a shitty apartment complex that has a bunch of evil and negative magic radiating from it. Specifically a single apartment.
This is the apartment complex I told you about.
Marvel: *staring at the building, thinking they know* “I see… and why are we here?”
Random Magician: “Wha- because there’s a bunch of evil magic practically oozing from it!”
Marvel: “And?”
Random Magician: “And what! That person could be extremely dangerous!”
Marvel: “I assure you, they’re not.”
Random Magician: “Yes they are! Magic can only become this bad through numerous evil rituals and sacrifices and spells!”
Marvel: “Look, just trust me, okay? It’s nothing.”
That magician did in fact, not trust him, and instead went to go check out the location of the source of the evil magic.
Random Magician: “Who’re you??”
Miss Bambi: “You can call me Bambi.” *looks them up and down judgmentally* “Are you one of Billy’s friends?”
Random Magician: *doesn’t know Billy is Cap* “No?”
Miss Bambi: “Oh.” *slams the door in their face*
The magic user eventually tried to suddenly ask about her and this Billy character.
Marvel: “That’s uh… My name?”
The magic user proceeded to go and tell everyone they knew because what the heck? This random, potentially very evil lady knows the champions real name? Also, the Champion’s name is Billy??
That’s how the “Oh, she must be magical Catwoman” thing cropped up.
From then on, they all had utmost respect for her cause the Champion is insanely powerful, so by stealing from the Rock of Eternity of all places that means she has to be pretty powerful herself. There’s also the fact that they can sense almost no magic from her so clearly she must be at least skilled to hide it that well.
Every single wizard that is evil is trying to curry to her favor.
Evil Magician: *looking extremely suspicious* “Mistress Bambi-”
Miss Bambi: “I told you weirdos not to call me that.”
Evil Magician: “-I have come to tell you about a special artifact that I think will interest you. It’s the eye of the Bermuda Triangle.”
Miss Bambi: *smoking, looking at them like they’re an idiot* “Yeah… Thanks…”
Evil Magician: “Your welcome, mistress-”
Miss Bambi: “Again, told you not to call me that.”
Later…
Miss Bambi: *chilling outside the apartment complex*
Billy: *jogging over so he can go inside
Miss Bambi: “Hey, Billy!”
Billy: “Yes, Miss Bambi?”
Miss Bambi: “Another one of those creeps came around and told me about some Eye of the Bermuda Triangle?”
“Another evil artifact? Dang. Well, I’ll hop to it! Thanks, Miss Bambi!”
See, the unfortunate thing is that an evil magician would tell Bambi about an evil artifact, and then Billy would go search for it and then give it to her for safekeeping. So they’d think she stole it, which would continue to feed the magical Catwoman rumors.
By the way, all the artifacts besides the ones that sound explicitly dangerous like the space cancer and a bottle, or just scattered about her apartment. Like, she has multiple evil pendants hanging from her ceiling fan because they look pretty and add to the ambience. She has an evil magic tome under one of the legs of her coffee table, so it keeps balance. She does not care.
Also, John Constantine eventually met her, and they vibe.

William (Billy) Joseph Batson Constantine?
12 years ago, John Constantine offered his genetics with the intention of serving others while putting his own interests first (he was a donor at a fertility clinic) and forgot about it.
Indeed, he also forgot when he pawned his firstborn in some pagan ritual to save his own neck...
Once and...
Again...
Oh, heavens! A fifth time?
Can someone stop this man?
Call it luck or chance, but his sample was used only once. An American couple turned to a fertility clinic and, by chance, their firstborn was born.
Yes, that firstborn.
William Joseph Batson always wondered why all sorts of bad things happened to him. From the premature death of his pet fish, to the variety of monsters that started living under his bed, and culminating with his inability to look at himself in a mirror. That didn't deprive him of his parents' love, fortunately, at least until a demon took them when he was seven.
Everyone believes they died, Billy doesn't... He remembers they were dragged to what that monstrous creature called hell... Billy searched how to get there on Google Maps.
He is absorbed by the system for the next two years, he is nine when he starts looking for answers on his own.
He's not starting from scratch, he still remembers what the demon said that night...
"The time has come, spawn of John Constantine."
The Internet told him what "spawn" meant, but there seem to be no traces of this Constantine except for an anonymous complaint, on an occultism forum, about his poor services and his "charming" personality.
An informational seed.
He starts with local fortune-tellers' houses, all charlatans... Continues with people from questionable cults and escapes before becoming the main dish.
Other terms appear along the way: alcoholic and gambler.
He's eleven years old when his tour around the country takes him to a show by a certain Zatanna. He does the usual routine... Sneaks into her dressing room and waits...
He's already an expert at waiting.
Billy: John Constantine. He's harder to find than cockroaches. I've been looking for him for three years... They say he's my father... Do you know him?
Finally, for the first time in three years, he finds someone who knows him and has his number. It only took two more cities, of stalking the magician, for her to call that man...
That man... The one responsible for everything.
But when he sees him, his stomach churns as he notices their clear resemblance. Billy looked a lot like his mother, but the handful of the man's genes was evident.
He doesn't scream when a portal appears in the dressing room. He's seen worse and smellier ones.
John: Hello, love, is everything alright? You don't usually call first... I brought a good bottle of...
And the man also realized. Of course, he did, he knows... whispers his tortuous mind.
Billy: Finally, you are John Constantine...
John: And you must be the reason why my firstborn trick stopped working.
Billy gets angry and lunges at the Englishman. With one knee on the blond's stomach, he takes advantage and grabs him by the collar of his trench coat. He shakes him violently and shouts all he's been holding back for so long.
Billy: I've met at least five principalities, I've been chased by things I still can't comprehend, and they took my parents when I was seven... You're going to fix this now!
Billy starts to sob as he steps away from the man and leans against the dressing room door.
John: Would you believe me if I said I'm sorry?
He's not sincere, Billy knows it and also knows that his voice is nothing more than a sign of his defeated certainty.
Billy: No, you are everything they said you were...

Blurred Lines
Danny had two names on his wrist: William Joseph Batson and Klarion Bleak. Jazz had one name: Richard John Grayson. Dani had two: Damian al Ghul Wayne and Jonathan Samuel Kent. To bad their soulmates didn't have their names. Just a thick smudge where it should be.
When the Fenton's were witch hunters, they got cursed. This curse made it difficult for their soulmate(s) to believe they are soulmates. It also impressed instinctual knowledge upon the Fenton's of who their soulmate was as soon as they saw them. It wasn't impossible to convince their soulmate(s), but it did require knowing all the loopholes in the curse. Unfortunately, the three youngest Fenton's weren't told about the curse.
Jazz had known as soon as his name was released to the public, that Bruce Wayne's first ward was her soulmate. And when she saw him later, she was even more certain.
She realized fairly early that there was going to be some pushback because of his social status. There were often articles about people falsely claiming to be his soulmate. She knew that people at school thought she was lying about being his soulmate too.
Then, she finally got the chance to meet him. Had everything prepared. Birth certificates, dated pictures of her soulmark, everything she could think of to prove that she was who she said she was. In the end it didn't matter. He didn't believe her. When she pushed, he showed her that he didn't have a name on his wrist. Just a weird smudge. He told her that there was probably a different person with the same name who had her name on their wrist. She had no choice but to accept what he said, even though she knew he was wrong.
Dani had a nagging feeling that she'd met her soulmates when she ran into Superboy and Robin for the first time. She wasn't going to confront them about it because it would be rude to ask them about their secret identities, but she'd suspected. Her suspicion was basically confirmed when Superboy told her his name.
What happened next hurt. She'd asked him if he'd realized they were soulmates the whole time, and he'd said he only had one whom he'd already met. When she asked if it was Damian, he freaked out. Then, Robin showed up equally freaked out, but hiding it better. Things escalated from there. To the point that she's now actively avoiding the two.
Danny was last to meet his soulmates out of the three. He'd been chasing after Amorpho when he bowled over Billy Batson and promised to buy him food after he caught Amorpho. Billy had been suspicious, but agreed. After they exchanged names, Danny immediately asked if Billy knew his soulmates. When Billy said no and then took off, Danny felt like he'd been rejected.
Then, he'd run into Klarion while he'd been enjoying creating some chaos in Amity (particularly annoying the mayor). Danny knew that Klarion was one of his soulmates. Even when Klarion was reluctant to accept it. He decided they needed to talk to his parents about whatever was going on.
That's when Jack and Maddie realized they'd never explained that their family was cursed.
(Klarion was furious. How dare someone attempt to keep his soulmate from him!)

I love writing self indulgent fanfic cause I can add in my nonsensical fanon name for the girl the Batsons would’ve buried thinking it was their dead daughter to pair with my use of Mary’s “swapped at birth” backstory and do whatever I wish with that

wonderjanga, I Summon thee and ask that you bless apon thee with Black Adam and Captain Marvel misunderstanding content. (Please. Thank you and good day.)
Ps. Hope you are having a wonderful day or night.
Misunderstandings on Black Adam’s side:
Black Adam: “It is I! Black Adam!”
Marvel: *stares for a solid second* “…Who?”
*silence*
Black Adam: “What do you mean ‘who?’ I am Black Adam.
Marvel: *looks around* “Sir, I don’t know who you are.”
See, Teth thought there was no way in the world that the current Champion wouldn’t know who he was. So, he immediately assumed the guy was lying to be rude. After all, there was no way the Wizard would appoint a Champion and then not tell them about the previous Champion that was sealed away because of his… strong opinions on certain matters.
Black Adam: “Yes, you do.”
Marvel: “No, I don’t.”
Black Adam: “Yes. You do.”
They went back back-and-forth for a bit before Adam gave up and just attacked him. If the Champion was gonna be so disrespectful that he’d claim that he somehow didn’t know him, he’d show him some disrespect in return.
Then there’s the second misunderstanding.
It came about when Adam had some Kahndaqi investigators dig up some stuff on anything that could point to the Champion’s true identity. They still found out about Billy, but he wasn’t who they thought he was.
Black Adam: “So you have a child.”
Marvel: “What?”
Black Adam: “You have a child. William Joseph Batson?”
Marvel: *looks like he’s about to shit bricks*
Black Adam: lOur similarities never cease to make me ill.”
Marvel: *just decides to go with it* “My bad…?”
Adam was so salty about this because this made him realize that as a fellow father, he couldn’t kill him. The information he dug up showed that while he was somehow alive, his wife certainly wasn’t. Teth wasn’t about to make an innocent little boy to be an orphan, regardless of whether the fact his father was the Champion. That wasn’t gonna stop him from hating the circumstances though.
Misunderstandings on Billy’s side:
As mentioned before, Billy had no clue who Adam was at first. So he immediately assumed this guy was magical if he had powers.
Marvel: “So how were you created?”
Black Adam: “Why does that matter?”
Marvel: “Because I want to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Black Adam: *gives him a strange look*
Billy originally thought Adam was a stray piece of the living lightning that flew off somewhere and became evil somehow.
Then he assumed this guy was in fact, not magical and instead super rich because he had a bunch of guys following him around as Billy.
Billy: *standing at a crosswalk, sweating*
Khandaqi Info Collector: *shamelessly taking five million photos*
Yeah… The Khandaqi guys Adam sent were not slick in the slightest.
Not that Billy knew they were from Kahndaq anyways.
The Public’s misunderstandings:
There are none but they’re convinced that the cheese and Adam have beef that spans generations upon generations(which it does, but that’s mostly for Adam, not Billy). They don’t know much about their situation, but they’re suspicious and want to know.

I have a plan •♪▼Þ 👑🌩️#1
❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧❧
Constantine was right... He was being consumed by the memory of an ancient champion of magic... The worst part was, he didn't know who this person was or rather, who they had been.
Thanks to Mary, they had created several profiles of the ancient champions, but they still couldn't go back more than five generations...
So, that's the explanation for why he's in a cart heading towards Kahndaq, the Ted Adam's country. This country wasn't part of the UN and had strict policies about League heroes entering without authorization.
Billy wasn't exactly in the country legally, but he wasn't exactly Captain Marvel either... there was a loophole he was going to exploit here, after all, Ted was accepting refugees from neighboring cities and he just had to hide his Caucasian appearance.
Well, then, Billy had a plan, it was two steps:
First, get to the gates of Ted's palace...
Second, knock on the door...
If he lived to then, he would think about steps three and four.
Neither Mary nor the League would be happy to know he was handing himself over to Ted; Ted could crush him like an ant, but this morning he forgot his name for a few seconds... Billy... No... NO... William... yes, William Batson...
"My name is William Joseph Batson...."
Yes, Billy had a problem... So, a bit more motivated, he went over his plans again...
"Okay, Batson, get there and knock on the door... get there and knock on the door... and don't be an ant."

DC Legacy
The basic premise of this is that the time has come for older heroes to step down and the next generation take their place. Clark Kent is now the editor and owner of the Daily Planet and vows to lead them into the future while keeping their dedication to the truth. Diana Prince is now Queen of the Amazons and has relinquished her title as Wonder Woman though she still joins the Justice Society when needed. Bruce Wayne has become mayor of Gotham City and intends to use the power of the office to fight crime at the root. However the intensified spotlight means he must give up the cowl. Others such as Oliver Queen have stepped down from active duty to become teachers to the next generation, passing down their skills and knowledge.
