Pluralhoarder
Tumblr media
Pluralhoarder is a term similar to other hoarder terms (such as Genderhoarder and Pronounhoarder), however dealing with plural terms. This includes:
-Genic and -Based terms. One may hoard these terms due to not concretely knowing the system’s origins or base, and may collect terms that feel close or right to the system’s experiences.
Headmate related terms. One may also hoard terms for system structure and/or headmate “roles”, whether this done for the whole system or one headmate in general.
This term was originally posted on my original blog back around 2020 or so, and was re-posted with the current flag on this blog on August 23rd, 2022.
The original repost on this blog has two flags, but since I apparently forgot to archive it I just decided to repost this with the touched-up flag only.
Tumblr media
[ID] A flag with 7 horizontal stripes of the same size. The colors from top to bottom are as follows: purple, royal blue, light cyan, white, pastel gold, dull orange, dark red. Most of the colors are vibrant. [/End ID]
[ID] A DNI (do not interact) banner with a very faded galaxy background. On the left of the banner there’s a flag as with a rounded side, the circle inside it showing an image of a cone tornado at the end of a road, the flag being the (General) Neurodivergent flag. The rest of the image is filled with white text that reads: “DNI (Do Not Interact). Against Good Faith Self Identification Or “Contradictory” Identities, Transmed, Sysmed, Group Arospec under Acespec, Anti-Educated Self-Dx, Call Mspec identities “Bispec”, Anti-Alterhuman, Anti-Otherkin, Anti-Chronosian, Against the term Transandromisia (or similar terms), Anti Aldernic, Anti-Altersex, Pro-Contact harmful paras, TransID,  Anti-Anti, Proship, “Consang”, Anti-SFW Agere, Demonize Cluster B disorders, Anti-BLM, Anti-ACAB” [/End ID]

I wonder how an endo would react to actual OSDDID distress. Like an intense flashback where alters are screaming and crying and freaking out, where you're hyperventilating and get forced out of front because you're in too bad a mental state, even though everyone is.
Or when you're being taken advantage of because of your amnesia, perhaps adding to your already huge pile of trauma.
Or being somewhere, no idea how you got there and completely lost, panicking because how the hell are you going to find your way home? Where is home? Who even are you?
*actual* OSDDID isn't fun. It isn't just having people in your head. There's so much distress involved in this.

📖 The Dissociative Identity Disorder Workbook by Iheb 🌟
Hey, everyone! ✨ I recently picked up The Dissociative Identity Disorder Workbook by Iheb, and I just had to share my thoughts because it’s been a profound resource for many in the DID community, including myself. So, let’s dive in!
💬 What’s Inside? This workbook is packed with engaging exercises and insightful prompts that cater to those navigating the complexities of DID. Iheb’s approach is empathetic and understanding, making you feel seen and heard right from the start. Each section is thoughtfully designed to help individuals explore their identities and experiences without feeling overwhelmed.
✨ Highlights:
Interactive Exercises: From grounding techniques to creative expression prompts, the activities encourage self-reflection and foster connection among alters. I particularly loved the “Identity Mapping” exercise—such a helpful way to visualize and understand the dynamics within! 🗺️
Affirmations and Validation: The workbook is sprinkled with affirmations that normalize the feelings and challenges associated with DID. It really made me feel less alone in my journey. 💖
Accessible Language: Iheb uses clear, relatable language that doesn’t feel clinical or intimidating, which is super important for those of us who may already feel fragmented. 🙌
🧠 Personal Impact: As someone with DID, I found this workbook to be a safe space to explore my thoughts and emotions. The exercises helped me to not only understand my system better but also to validate my experiences. It’s like having a supportive friend guiding you through the process! 😊
⚠️ A Few Notes: While the workbook is fantastic, it’s essential to approach it at your own pace. Some exercises may bring up intense feelings—so take your time and consider having a therapist or support system in place when diving deep. Overall, I highly recommend The Dissociative Identity Disorder Workbook by Iheb to anyone looking to understand their DID journey more profoundly. It’s a heartfelt, practical guide that empowers you while providing the tools for healing and self-discovery. 🥰 If you’re on this path or are curious about DID, give it a try!

Here’s some positivity for systems who don’t use -genic or other origins labels!
ALL systems are beautiful, valid, and integral members of the plural community. Not every system will use or benefit from -genic or other origin labels, and that’s okay! There is nothing wrong with accepting your system as it is, and choosing not to label how your system formed. So here’s to all the systems who don’t identify with origin labels!
🌙 Shoutout to systems who genuinely don’t know and don’t care to learn about their system’s origins!
🪐 Shoutout to systems who used to have a label for their origins, but have since abandoned or stopped using it!
⭐️ Shoutout to systems who want to just exist and be accepted as they are, without any origin labels tied to their identity!
☀️ Shoutout to systems who reject origin labels as a reclamation of power and agency in their own lives!
🌙 Shoutout to systems who are confused or troubled by -genic and/or origin labels!
🪐 Shoutout to systems who are satisfied with using the labels “system” and “plural” to describe themselves!
⭐️ Shoutout to systems who want to keep their system origins private!
☀️ Shoutout to systems with dissociative disorders who choose to define their plurality through a lense of DID, OSDD, or P-DID rather than -genic or other labels!
🌙 Shoutout to systems who hate feeling like they have to use an origin label in order to be accepted in the plural community!
🪐 Shoutout to systems who don’t use origin labels due to others using their origins as an excuse to invalidate, fakeclaim, or otherwise harm them in the past!
⭐️ Shoutout to individual headmates who don’t use origin labels, even if the rest of their system does!
☀️ Shoutout to systems who find -genic labels to be unhelpful, counterproductive, or divisive for their own system or the plural community!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing to reject or forego any labels that do not help or benefit you or your system. You deserve the right to define your own system and experiences with terminology that works best for you - and if -genic and origin labels don’t work, it’s okay to simply not use them! Choosing to not us these labels does not make you any less plural, or any less of a cherished and integral part of our community and spaces. In fact, your unique perspectives are a benefit to the plural community, and we are so happy to have you here!
Please do your best to treat yourself and your system with kindness, and try not to worry about what other people think of you due to your system’s choices regarding origin labels. Rest assured you will always have a special place in the plural community just the way you are, regardless of what terms you use to describe your origins! Thanks so much for reading, and have an amazing day!

TS provided in alt text by playmatething, thank you!
apollogenic (1, 2) and apollonorma (3,4)
apollogenic: a system that was formed or discovered (partially or fully) due to some sort of prophecy, typically a joke. can also be used for subsystems or individual sysmates.
apollonorma: a sysmate that was formed or split due to some sort of prophecy, typically a joke. added for those who like specifics for their labels.
name comes from Apollo's gift of prophecy, which is what it reminded us of when this phenomenon kept happening again and again to our system.
examples (non-exclusive, added just so one can get a better idea of this) could be:
seeing a new sysmate in a dream before they actually form
joking about 'what if's about your system before those what ifs come true
joking about 'honorary system members' for your paras, F/Os or innerworld NPCs before they gain sentience or get introjected.
I dont know if there's an active plural term archive but it would be lovely if anyone could tag them. otherwise @radiomogai

Schrödigenic is an origin for systems and/or headmates thats formation is either equivalent to and/or caused by schrödinger's cat. In simple terms, it is an origin that could be one thing and another thing at the same time until observed otherwise.

Yknow I think the visual nature of most internet spaces has a lot of people confused about system nature.
When I first went through syscovery, we didn't have visual presentations; we existed in the realm of feeling and thoughtform. Even voices were blurry echoes.
I think this is normal. Face claims, drawings, and social image identities are all an important part of the community, but the reality of systems often lies in a gray area between perfect visualization and no visualization. And having no visualization, ever, is normal too! Exist how you need to- thats all that matters.

Note
my stance on syscourse is that genic labels are a bit asinine, especially when replacing existing terms for a more confusing option, and I feel like it gives people the impression that origin is more important than it actually is. "Formed from a reason other than trauma" says nothing about functioning or dissociation. We're were born a system but the way our brain decided to be as a toddler shouldn't dictate how trauma later in life might impact our brain
i agree to an extent. labels dont “prove validity”, they exist for personal comfort.
to some people the distinction that trauma endured at a young age changed their brain functioning is important to them, and i believe in letting these people have the choice to identify as such.
on the same side of that coin, i think if someone doesnt want to care about a -genic label that they shouldnt have to. if someone wants to identify as whatever -genic label makes them feel most comfortable, then let them.
the bottom line of it is that -genic labels are not as important community wide as people make them out to be. they can be important to you, the individual, but there is no point in trying to force the community as a whole to disclose such things or to completely shun parts of the community for their label.
i also quite like what you said about labels having no comment on functioning or dissociation levels, because they dont. traumagenic systems in therapy can be well functioning and have low dissociative barriers. endogenic systems who have gone through extensive trauma can have high dissociation and difficulty functioning. the label doesnt dictate that, the systems lived experience does.

Look if we’re being fr I don’t hate endos. Not one bit. I think all systems are genuinely just people who have trauma and are either in denial or simply don’t remember. A system is a system until proven otherwise but Endogenic is not the term you need to use. “-genic” terms are ok if you’re using them for fun or whatever, but I hope everyone knows that all systems have trauma and are inherently traumagenic in nature. Thats the way the disorder works.
