Growth capitalism is a deranged fantasy for lunatics.
Year 1, your business makes a million dollars in profit. Great start!
Year 2, you make another million. Oh no! Your business is failing because you didn't make more than last year!
Okay, say year 2 you make $2 mil. Now you're profitable!
Then year 3 you make $3 mil. Oh no! Your business is failing! But wait, you made more money than last year right? Sure, but you didn't make ENOUGH more than last year so actually your business is actively tanking! Time to sell off shares and dismantle it for parts! You should have made $4 mil in profit to be profitable, you fool!
If you're not making more money every year by an ever-increasing exponent, the business is failing!
Absolute degenerate LUNACY

Yesterday I had a rough little day and just needed some comfort food, and in the neighborhood I just moved into has a vegan fast food joint within walking distance, so I trotted down there.
And I found the guy staffing it sitting at a table and repairing some overalls! Full hand stitching with a sign up that said "closed for food restock and employee break till x time" which I honestly loved to see. I'm glad he got a break, and was doing something so cool with it!
I came back when it was open and I got to see that the "food restock" was a guy from the grocery store a block away hand delivering the produce, and they seemed like actual buddies as they did the deal.
Once I ordered, I sat and talked with this older woman in the neighborhood about how annoying people driving cars on the street were, and she was absolutely hilarious, then I had a vegan chopped cheese, grilled cheese, and milkshake, and it was phenomenal.
It was a nice microcosm sustainability moment. Everyone walked, I felt like I was in a community, and the food was fantastic. Great little moment that gave me an extra boost today.

Sustainability is rarely accessible
This post is dedicated to Audrey, hi king!
Like many people, I think sustainability and taking care of the environment is really important; however, something that I feel isn't talked about enough when discussing ways to be more sustainable is how it's often inaccessible to disabled people and low-income people.
A lot of "alternative products" aren't viable options for disabled people because of factors such as cost, how easy they are to acquire, or physical accessibility issues.
some examples include:
paper straws and wooden cutlery - I know that for me both of these products give me major sensory issues and as for wooden cutlery I'd also like to note that they're much more difficult to eat with which could cause problems for someone with poor dexterity or fine motor skills.
pre-packaged foods - a lot of disabled people rely on pre-packaged meals and snacks for all kinds of reasons such as sensory issues, having specific safe foods, fatigue, and physically being unable to prepare foods. etc. One example I see often is being told off for buying precut produce because why not "just cut it up themselves" when in reality, some people physically cannot cut it up themselves or don't have enough spoons to make that a priority; not to mention that frozen and pre-cut produce is often cheaper than fresh produce.
medical supplies - A lot the medical supplies that disabled people rely on every day are made up of single use plastics and most of the items aren't meant to be used more than once (though some products can be used for multiple days if cared for properly) that being said, disabled people tend to produce more plastic waste but it's not our faults so we shouldn't be getting flack for it!
Another element of environmental advocacy that a lot of people talk about is veganism; which is of course great thing to practice if that's what works for you but a lot of people (disabled or not) cannot be vegan for dietary reasons. This could be because of allergies, intolerances, restrictions, location, finances, etc. For example, I've got a soy allergy and I've got a friend with a severe nut allergy. This means that neither of us could be fully vegan because the majority of vegan products are made with soy and nuts. I also rely partially on tube feeds for nutrition and as far as I know, there aren't any vegan, soy-free formulas yet (and if there are they're probably absurdly expensive)
This brings me to my final point about cost. A lot of alternative options for vegan and sustainable products are significantly more expensive; making it much harder for people who are already struggling financially to afford those products. Not to mention people who live in food deserts (areas of a city that don't contain grocery stores) or rural areas. There are very low chances that either of those places is going to have specialty food stores or even have alternative options in the few stores that they do have!
In conclusion: stop blaming poor and disabled people for the awful state of our environment and start blaming billionaires and massive corporations!

Zero waste isn't just about trying not to create extra waste, it's about not wasting the things you have.

The sad thing about the sort of tiktokification of fashion styles is that I will go on the mori kei tag on there and all the comments are like “where can I buy this??” Like it’s mori kei. go to a thrift store. Sure there are some J fashion brands if you want one very specific piece. But if you’re just trying to get into the style thrift stores are the best place to go! It’s this idea that came about during covid I think where you have to buy everything online, searching keywords into Aliexpress and shein. All of my favourite items I have are from my local thrift stores. And you end up with much more unique pieces as well as saving money! Moral of the story don’t give your money to fast fashion!!! You don’t need specific brands to get into certain fashion styles!!!!

ratios are neat. what's a ratio that you like? I'll go first: heat capacity, which is energy / degrees Celsius. If a building has a high heat capacity, it means it takes a lot of energy to increase its temperature. A building with a high heat capacity will be cooler indoors when the outside temperature is high. It's a neat ratio because it tells us why the shitty 5-over-1 buildings in Seattle are like ovens in the summer. They are constructed of less expensive materials that have lower heat capacity, and originally intended for there to be air-conditioning in each unit, but since it is "temperate" Seattle they removed all A/C vents or ports to further lower construction costs, thus passing on the financial burden of existing in an ever-warming world directly to individuals. (materials with higher heat capacity are generally heavier and thicker and thus more expensive)
#seattle#A related problem: thinner walls block less noise so you're more likely to be woken up in the night when an idiot with a loud car drives by#And sleeping badly leads to a million other long-term health problems#Have you also seen the buildings with south and west facing exteriors painted dark colors??????#new buildings aren't constructed with true sustainability in mind#nor are they constructed properly to handle people working from home#HURRAY#my blog

Wait wait wait! I wanna jump on this apocalypse au train real quick! But envision this…
Whenever a housewarden picks his bride there’s a ceremony that takes place to show the remaining population the person that’s going to be standing by his side. And for this, housewardens from other compounds are invited to come witness the ceremony (or some sort of diplomat comes in the leader’s place) . It's a show of goodwill and comradery between the compounds. To keep up morale and strengthen unity.
And for this special ceremony, it’s between the one and only Malleus Draconia and his pretty bride. And who shows up because of his hatred that borders on obsession for Malleus? Fuckin Rollo.
And he takes a great interest in Malleus’s Bride. She’s innocent looking, quiet and meek. But that’s not what sparks his unhealthy interest, it's the way you stare up at Malleus like he’s your whole world. Full of love and adoration. Pure and utter devotion.
And Rollo can’t fathom the thought that you, the pinnacle of perfection and innocence, could love a monster like Malleus. Surely, it must be the effects of some sinful curse.
And late at night, where all guests are in their rooms sleeping away from the festivities of the wedding, Rollo finds himself roaming the halls. Your sweet smile and perfect body engraved in his memories. How can he sleep when you're plaguing his mind?
That’s when he finds himself following the sounds of your moans echoing down the long hall. Walking deeper into the dwelling of the dragon’s territory. Forgoing any disdain he held for the ruler. Only focusing on the sounds of your pleasured gasps and lewd moans up to the large marble doors that seem to block his view of you.
A voice whispers into his ear to lean in closer and listen. That he’s the only one worthy enough to view. Tempting him so nicely and convincingly, that he’s on his knees peeking through the keyhole to see you sprawled across the large bed. Legs wrapped around Malleus’s waist and hands tugging at his long ebony locks. The force of Malleus’s deep thrust making your back arch.
And Rollo listens to you begging Malleus to go harder, to go faster. And all that strikes a chord with Rollo and he’s tempted to reach his hand down his trousers to beat his throbbing cock to the rhythm of Malleus thrust into your tight cunt. But he holds himself back, forcing himself to focus on the sway of your breast, the shining trail of cum that drips down your thighs and ass, the plumpness of your lips and hazy expression on your face.
It wasn’t until you plead these very words that not only does his restraint snaps but so does the man that was holding you like you were the most precious gem, “Please, give me a baby!”
And the thin string that was preventing him from falling deep into his delusion is cut.
Anyways, this has been on my mind for like the whole day. Um… so do with this as you please. It was mainly supposed to be about the love of my life, Malleus, but quickly turned into a rollo thirst, which is kinda surprising. But! Here it is. Also, I didn't know where to add it, but I like to think that Malleus knew Rollo was watching and knew that he was growing some sort of infatuation for his precious Child of Man and Mal took it personally.
And I just want to say I absolutely love your work. I consume it like my abuelita consumes her telenovelas. Every post is just so juicy and good. Legit, the best blog to ever blog fr. And i want to interact more, so i might be coming back with more ideas lol
-M (not quite sure how anon names work, but I hope this is good :))
AAAAAAAAAAA M ANON, THIS IS SO YUMMY OMG........ Rollo peeking in on you and Malleus when the two of you are trying to conceive a child, not only because of compound tradition but because the two of you genuinely love and care for each other. Oooooo Rollo is in utter disbelief that you could ever willingly love someone like Malleus! Surely you're under some spell. Magic is so filthy and terrible, after all. He wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason you're so affectionate with Malleus (Rollo is very wrong about that and also very delusional).
Omg and Malleus knowing Rollo was spying...... orz he can definitely sense the presence of another, and maybe come the following morning at breakfast Malleus is so attached to you, more possessive than usual because he just knows if he leaves you alone for more than a minute someone (Rollo) may attempt to strike up conversation with you. >_< aaaaaa and Rollo is so strict with himself, trying so hard to deny the fact that he's (lustfully) attracted to you and that he's only watching you from across the banquet hall like this because he's trying to understand what you see in Malleus. That's the only reason! It's definitely not because he keeps thinking about you and your pretty body and your moans and....... T_T he is obsessed and in denial, and Malleus most definitely knows this.
After he's returned to the Noble Bell compound, he (very begrudgingly) writes to Malleus, if only to keep up appearances and be polite, but mainly so, should another event happen, he can secure an invitation and see you again. <3 he frequently writes about you in his diary to sate every filthy desire he has, often tearing the pages out and burning them after he's gotten it out of his system. But some pages he keeps. Like the poems and sonnets dedicated to you.
#twisted chit chat#n/sfw#twst apocalypse au#M anon#also thank you for liking my work and blog!!!!! <3#i'm happy the posts can be delicious#your apocalypse rollo idea sustains me orz it is truly a meal of an ask omg i am fed well#i need to write more apocalypse rollo >:D he's so gross i love him

a very autumnal gardening update || 11/08/2024
happy autumn everyone!!! here's a very very big gardening update as i've been hoarding photos to share since a couple days before halloween yippee!!
to begin, i've got progress photos of lots of different fall crops that i planted from seeds!
if you'd like to know what plant something is, read the image description for plant name and usually where i bought it from!
up above are pictures of my crops that have sprouted or long since sprouted and are now growing growing (i have a lot more that i'm not consistently taking photos of tbh). i'm really excited for everything to start being a lot bigger so the raised beds will look much more filled in.
i recently did a round of fertilizer water too! i make my own fertilizer and then add it to my watering can after straining out the big bits. my fertilizer water recipe is to put eggshells, used coffee grounds, used teabags, and banana peels to this big container i have and let it sit all in water for a couple days; then i strain it and put the water into my watering can and fill the watering can the rest of the way with regular water from my tap (i don't have a hose unfortunately and i live in a rental).
i also harvested a bunch of lil tomatillos recently, i wasn't expecting them to actually finish growing at this point, but somehow it was successful!
here's a bunch of photos from the greenhouse box too! most of the lil seedlings are doing really well, and i'm eager to get to transplant them soon (and those that don't get transplanted will go to friends as gifts or be given away on fb marketplace).
i'm also pleasantly surprised that my basil plant and coleus plant are doing well still in the greenhouse! after all, the greenhouse box isn't properly sealed and isn't fully insulated, it's mostly just a cold sun box. but somehow, they're doing pretty damn well, yay!!
i also repotted a few plants: my butterfly bush, my dieffenbachia, and one of my basil plants! my poor dieffenbachia was really going through it, so i figured he really needed a repotting. here's to hoping he starts recovering!
also... the table on my back deck finally gave out lmaoooo! i was repotted my butterfly bush on it and i was pushing down on the dirt in the pot onto the table and... perfectly pot-shaped hole was born! i have stuck an identical pot into the hole and i might seal up the drainage holes on it so i can collect a bit of rainwater?? maybe?? idk for sure yet to be honest, but i'll figure it out! :)
and that's all for this update!! i really hope you all enjoyed, it's been a bit tedious typing all of this out admittedly lol, so thank you for sticking around! lmk in the replies what you think and if you've got any ideas on what to do next! :)

- lying face down on the floor (on my bed, not lying down)
- paying for parking.
that's it, that's maximum human emotion
