Thanks, everyone, her surgery is funded and scheduled for Sept 2, 2025!

Cassie saw the vet yesterday. She was so good and so brave! Even though she was poked and prodded and got two shots and her blood stolen she was an angel! Overally she's in exceptional health for a 14-year-old cat, with one exception.

It seems her microchip has, over time, migrated onto the edge of the shoulderblade and painfully adhered there with scar tissue. She's going to need surgery to remove it.

I've already paid for the pre-anesthesia blood work (which was actually more than what the estimate says because I'm having them do a senior panel, which is $134 instead of $97.50). The higher estimate is if it turns out that what we're feeling on her shoulderblade isn't actually her microchip and is instead a growth that requires a biopsy ($207).

A friend recently lost one of their cats to a terrible and sudden illness, despite a very good vet’s best efforts. Drew this as a memorial sketch of their girl.

if im understanding the sequence of events correctly, cognouza successfully escaping the fall of aeor and surviving only to eventually get destroyed by the mighty nein is. sorry to say. kind of hilarious to me.

like. you flee the city as it is destroyed by the literal gods, like Actual Fucking Gods Meteor Storm-ing it up, you manage to escape with your skin intact, you float in the astral sea as a flesh city, but you survive, for a long time.

and then some idiots with a bright pink haversack and a dream (threatening) come in and beat you with the power of friendship and a manifestation of a huge egg dick. can you imagine. you survive the gods and then the mighty nein kill you. they fell ass over teakettle out of a huge tree. twice. they went to a fancy party and one of them spent the whole night high as balls and they still uncovered a huge spying plot that altered the course of a war. they tried and failed to do three-way rock paper scissors. twice. you were a part of aeor and escaped its downfall and survived the wrath of the gods and the betrayal of the betrayal gods and its aftermath. unfortunately the mighty nein had a friend who they miss dearly and some people they care about in a place you were threatening so. you know. game over.

caleb wordlessly building a snowman next to beau and asking if she'll help and then when she starts a snowball fight with him he uses magic to fling her into a fluffy pile of snow and beau gives him a thumbs up and walks back over and he's built a two-headed snowman with a happy face and a sad face and he goes "look that's us." and then when she is confused about who's who he makes it so that both faces look grumpy. the way this man shows affection makes me insane sometimes

this is wild. what the heck. i love improving!! gone is his weird blocky mantle and his strangely flat hair!! he has been gifted an ear cap that fits and a pretty colour palette!! huzzah!!

i hope some artist out there who's stuck knows that they can and will improve. my new piece isn't perfect - i kind of hate it - but i love how far i've come.
