I wish So Bad that I could confidently recommend lob corp and library of ruina to people because they're both genuinely rly good games and I also need ppl I know to understand the insanity that is project moon but like godddd they are a fucking Investment. Both in time and in brainpower. I generally think ppl exaggerate how hard lob corp is but it's certainly not easy and when it does get hard it gets HARD. Also it literally requires at least one day 1 reset (basically a new game+) to fully beat the game and at this point I've done at least 10. And for lor I'm not nearly as far in and I'm just scratching the surface of the real game but it's a beast of its own. Also 100+ hours and also hard as hell. Like this game does not fuck around with its difficulty spikes it will make you use your brain and it will give you a damn headache in the process. It's also one of my favorite card combat games I've ever played with mechanics that just so beautifully complement each other to create a dynamic and interesting battle system that gives it a completely different vibe and feeling than any other deck builder games I've played to the point where it almost feels wrong to me to categorize them together. But also I am not even slightly joking abt the headache thing every time I play this damn game I close it with a horrible headache and have to take a multi day break. I think everyone should experience this with me <3
#rat rambles#for the record I have not played limbus company nor do I plan to but the cast is rly good and I know a lot of ppl vouch for it#let it be known if I ever do get around to reading limbus stuff I will become obsessed with outis shes so me bait#youre telling me shes a middle aged woman a war criminal and a bootlicker? sign me the fuck up#I <3 crusty dusty women who suck ass#also ofc don is also the beloved but thats a given#the real question would be which of the other limbus women would comsume my life#because theyre all contenders for characters that could make me go insane. for better or for worse.#also reason number 500 that everyone I know should play these games is that its sooooo fun to make project moon ocs#ofc I and I imagine most ppl mostly make nugget ocs (aka your employees and combat units in the first two games)#but like its just fun to make ocs in this world in general#the worldbuilding of this game is like 90% built on 'would that be fucked up or what?' and I adore it for that#theyll just be like yeah theres a whole faction that follows these things called prescripts which can range from super simple stuff to#literally impossible stuff and if you aren't able to follow them you will be killed and theres a guy whos job it is to hand them out and he#has to routinely inform people to their face that they have to destroy their lives or die and it eventually breaks him#and you go ok cool Im still not over the teleporting trains that dont actually instantly teleport but instead travel through pocket#dimensions over the course of thousands of years during which the passengers can be injured and mangled and feel pain but not die and it's#not uncommon for whole societies to be formed in them but once they arrive to their destination the state of all the passengers is#perfectly reverted back to their state uppon entering leading to them being none the wiser of anything that had previously happened to them#and they go yeah haha we liked love town too anyways wanna watch this robot have another mental breakdown#and you go fuck yeah and get your ass handed to you

The autism representation in Splatoon needs to be studied and celebrated because oh my god it's actually really damn good and some of the best in media, especially compared to how its usually portrayed in popular media....
As someone who is on the spectrum and has been diagnosed, it's really comforting to know that one of my favorite game series has such positive depictions of autism and isn't just stereotypical depictions we commonly see in media.
Autism in most media is either portrayed as white nerdy dudes who are cold robots that have super intelligence, can understand alien languages and see the world like they are a fucking Lego master builder or some shit and see blueprints in the sky like in The Good Doctor or The Big Bang Theory with Sheldon. Or it's portrayed as people who are incredibly disabled, cannot communicate and have constant tantrums as seen with the dogshit movie Music (2021). Literally the depiction of autism in that movie is actually fucking dangerous as it shows a person pushing an autistic person who is having a meltdown onto the ground and RESTRICTING THEM! WHICH IS VERY VERY VERY BAD! DO NOT DO THIS!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! AUTISTIC PEOPLE HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF THIS!!!!!!!!
Now I'm not saying that these types of autistic people don't exist, remember, it's a spectrum so there's a ton of variety in people who have autism, some people have really high intelligence, some have low social skills and need help, some can talk for hours and hours to anyone, some need serious help to function day to day living and thats perfectly fine. however the type i listed of the super cold robotic genuis is just the really popular stereotype which impacts the perception of autistic people just trying to live and enjoy life like everyone else. Some autistic people are just in the middle and aren't on any of the extremes. There are tons of people who fall into the "low needs" and "high needs" sides of autism of course, however there isn't exactly a ton of representation for people in the middle and sometimes those popular representations of autism can damage the entire perception of the spectrum. And there still isn't a lot of fair representation of "high needs" autistic people in media and that needs to change as well.
Thankfully Splatoon doesn't go for any damaging stereotypes but instead goes for something a little more positive. I think the best examples of this are Marina, Marie and Harmony. While they haven't been canonically confirmed as being on the autism spectrum, they are heavily hinted that they are and show some evidence that supports it.
Harmony for instance is just.... a regular autistic girl, she isn't some incredibly smart girl, no, she's just a regular girl who speaks in a blunt and neutral way but that's about it. As someone who is autistic i can relate somewhat to how she speaks, in real life i tend to just say a few words when talking to someone and i don't really sound energetic or loud about it. i just go "Hey. Hi. Alright. Okay. Oh ok. Uh. I'm good." Some autistic people normally do not speak like they are the nerd emoji and sound hyper smart like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory, and they are not able to speak entirely. That's not what ALL autistic people sound like. There's a decent chunk of them that just speak regularly or speak a little quietly and thats okay. Harmony captures the speech of what a fair portion of autistic people talk like, but not every single autistic person of course. There is a large chunk of autistic people who need support when it comes to communication, and that's perfectly okay. They are just valid as human beings as the ones who can speak.
She also has an interest in music as she is the singer of Chirpy Chips and is seen stimming and fidgeting with an Ultra Hand. Autistic people usually fidget and stim to calm themselves down and keep their emotions in check, maybe Harmony plays with the Ultra Hand because it helps her stay calm when running Hotlantis.
Now it's time to talk about the most popular example of autistic representation in Splatoon. Marina.
She is quite shy when you zoom in on her in Splatoon 2 when you play as an Inkling, but is known to ramble about machinery and excavators to Pearl and Acht for hours at a time. Technology and machinery seem to be a special interest for her as shown with her creating the Shifty Stations for Splatfests, having hacking abilities and building the Memverse. She gets so much energy and excitement from working on the Memverse as shown by her dialogue in the Dev Diaries. However she is not a flawless super genius like in most depictions of autistic characters, she is known to have uncontrollable emotional outbursts, when Pearl even suggests the idea of Off the Hook breaking up she becomes extremely devastated and thinks of the worst case scenario in her dialogue from the Chaos vs Order Splatfest. She sometimes can't control her anger and snaps at Pearl after losing multiple times in a row in Splatfests.
She also has issues with proper work life balance as she overworks herself with working on the Memverse alongside going on a world tour with Pearl, she vents abouts this in her 10th Dev Diary in Side Order. And speaking of order, she chose team order because she wanted to maintain the balance in her life that she has found. A lot of autistic people have strict routines and any changes to that routine will cause them to get really distressed. If someone comes into my space and says "hey we're going out in 10 minutes." I'm gonna get pissed off and be in a terrible mood as my routine has been disrupted and i wanna do something else. Routines give autistic people a lot of comfort and predictability.
Marina's deepest flaw she kept hidden was the desire of a perfect world of order where nothing can change because she's so scared of her new life being destroyed, but she learns to overcome this fear of change with the help of Pearl by the end of Side Order which may inspire autistic people to learn to be more okay with change, even if its very hard.
Marina is also seen wearing her headphones quite often and rarely takes them off which may indicate she might have sensory issues. Some autistic people may suffer with sensory issues and need to wear headphones or certain pieces of clothing to stay calm and keep their emotions from becoming too much. I tend to wear headphones often because i hate my ears being exposed and I'm very sensitive to certain noises.
She also may have another special interest which may be the Squid Sisters as she litters her laptop and keytar with Squid Sister stickers. Marina also talks in a very excited tone when you get Marie's and Callie's palettes in Side Order. She also acts very giddy and excited during live performances with them and starts stimming which is shown by her moving around in place and clamping her hands together.
Another character who you might not think is autistic right away but shows signs of it is Marie. And to be honest i find her to be very relatable.
Marie is known to be more quiet than her cousin and she acted like this since she was a child. Marie also seems to struggle with social situations and struggles to talk with Agent 4 and Neo Agent 3 and wishes they can just leave her alone when you keep talking to her. However she seems to be a lot more comfortable talking with people she trusts and loves like her cousin Callie. She also makes quite snarky and sometimes rude comments but that doesn't mean she's a rude person, she just likes being cheeky and truly cares about the people around her. She even self loathes and worries about her cousin to an unhealthy degree.
A lot of people tend to say that autistic people have low empathy when in reality some autistic people are far from the case. Some autistic people might be TOO empathetic but they cannot show it because it's just so much for them that they can't properly express it. Marie may appear as rude and non caring but she's genuinely a very caring and emotional person but she doesn't know how to show it due to not having developed communication skills compared to neurotypical people. A fair amount of autistic people are not shy people that don't care about you, they just have a different way of speech and communication. 2 autistic people can talk vastly different from each other. It is a spectrum after all. There are some who may have low empathy, but they are not psychopaths who don't care about human life. It's really, really weird to think that and kind of damaging to see autistic people in that kind of light.
Marie is also known to be a picky eater and despises vegetables, refuses to eat the ends of bread loafs, hates tomatoes and pineapple on pizza. (she's literally me holy shit...) some autistic people can have sensory issues when it comes to certain textures and smells and vegetables usually have a weird texture compared to meats and other food groups. They can be seen as "picky eaters" that don't wanna try anything but, some autistic people genuinely cannot eat certain foods and may get sick in the stomach if they see that food and would rather eat anything else. You cannot get me to eat carrots, like I'm sorry but that's not happening buddy. I don't care if they are baked or boiled, i refuse to put that shit in my mouth.
She was also on team order like Marina as she likes to keep things nice and tidy like with most autistic people. Not all but most.
A little tidbit i wanna add as well is that since Splatoon 2, Marie has been seen holding an parasol and for seemingly no reason. Some may say she holds it to seem more professional, however i think she has it around because she likes to hold it in her hands and use it to fidget with, much like Harmony with the Ultra Hand. You can see her spin it around when you stay around her for a little bit in Splatoon 3's story mode. Although I might be looking too deeply into this but i think it might be a cute little detail.
I find it really fantastic that Splatoon not only has good representations of autism, but it's also pretty diverse and shows different elements of the spectrum. Not every single aspect of the spectrum as there isn't an example of a high needs autistic character in Splatoon that I can think of unfortunately, but if you can think of a character who may be in the high needs category of the spectrum then let me know, however we got a pale skinny sea anemone who runs a general store and uses an Ultra Hand to fidget with, a tall black woman who's extremely passionate about machinery and technology, and a Japanese squid woman who would rather eat a Splattershot than a tomato. (Callie and Marie are based off of Japanese culture, look at their clothing and styles of music. If they were humans they would not be white women, sorry to break it to you bud.)
Before this ends i wanna say, if you disagree with me then that's fine. I get it. They aren't canonically confirmed to be on the autism spectrum and a lot of this is just speculation and observation. However don't be a fucking dick about it okay? Don't say that i don't know anything about autism and that I'm crazy and dumb. Don't do that shit. Seriously. I am allowed to look deeper into these characters and find relatability and comfort in them. Don't try to make me feel like a freak for this.
Anyways if i did get something wrong about autism let me know in a fair and polite way. I am human and I'm gonna make mistakes, but don't be a dickhead about it, k? Good. Have a goodnight or good day wherever you live.

what if peter calls her annoying for doing soemthing so she geniunely stops
peter remembers the conversation vividly.
'do you mind if i play a game?'
'no.'
'are you sure? cause if you wanna do something now's the time to say it.'
'no, you can play.'
you told him he could play, and you didn't even sound the slightest upset. he must've read that wrong, because while he's trying to focus on killing and not dying, you're chatting up a storm.
peter figured after the third barely there half acknowledgement you'd figure it out, but no. not even when he cut you off to shout something to a teammate. it was the third missed shot and he just really wanted you to stop talking.
it's nonstop and about nothing important. shit about people he doesn't know, or people he has a faint recolection from. his team was about to pull through, but you had to call his name to make sure he was listening to some bullshit about whoever and whatever and he fucking died.
'jesus fucking ch- what?! you do this every fucking time, i asked if i could play, you said yes. i asked if you minded, you said no. yet, every time you sit here and try to have a fucking conversation with me.'
as if he didn't dig in far enough:
'you're fucking annoying.'
ouch. ouch, ouch, ouch.
'i'm sorry.'
ouch, 'you're fucking annoying.' ouch, ouch, ouch.
a heavy sigh, peter rubs his eyebrow. 'yeah, i'm sure you are.' you want to shink into nothing, he made you feel so small in three words.
'you're fucking annoying.' ouch, ouch, ouch.
'i am.' it's timid, peter sighs again, this time at himself. 'i know you are. i'm sorry, i shouldn't have yelled at you. i was doing good and got distracted, i'm sorry and it's just a game.'
peter was sorry he yelled, not sorry he called you fucking annoying. no, that part he meant. it was obvious. 'it's okay.' you feel robotic, but it was your fault he lost his game. you're the one that told him he could play.
peter looks at you, his face scrunched. 'it's okay? i raised my voice at you and it's okay?' you nod, 'yeah. i distracted you.'
sure, that's what he said, but it's not what he meant. 'hey, don't sweat it. if i was a better player that wouldn't have happened, if anything you might just make me better by talking my ear off.'
'you're fucking annoying.' it still stings. you plaster on a smile, it's missing from your eyes. 'yeah, maybe.' peter winks, he bought it. or he just doesn't want to deal with it, you're fucking annoying anyways.
'you can play another round, i won't bother you this time. i promise.' and you don’t. not a single word, you just endlessly scroll on your phone and let peter celebrate his team win.
a cluster of kisses. ‘i had total focus and i set a new record. be proud of me, please.’ you smile, it hurts to know that your silence made him win. that’s how fucking annoying you are.
‘super proud, handsome. feel free to keep playing.’
it doesn’t feel right to peter, normally you’d be begging for attention or coercing him into cuddles. instead, you’re shrugging him off.
are you-‘
‘yes. i’m sure.’ twitter and instagram are boring. but you don’t want to be fucking annoying.
peter gives another kiss. ‘you’re the best, trouble. don’t forget it.’
you’re the best… and you’re fucking annoying.
you won’t be anymore.
———
peter’s won every single match this week and it stopped feeling good. and as he’s aimlessly wondering, half hoping to be killed, he realizes he hasn’t heard you in a little bit.
‘hey, trouble. what’s up? talk to me.’ he misses the soft chatters and gentle pokes when he loses focus on you. he misses you bidding for his attention.
‘nothing.’ you glance up to the screen, ‘don’t get yourself killed.’ peter shrugs, he doesn’t care how this match ends. instead, he moves from his chair to the bed with you.
‘c’mon, talk to me. tell me about your day or um, what’s that girl? the one with choppy highlights?’ you flip a page in your book, ‘harmony.’
‘yeah, her. what’s new with harmony?’ he moves into your touch, you slowly nudge away. ‘nothing.’ a multitude of things, actually. harmony is someone who has the life only a writer could make up.
‘i find that hard to believe, you’re always talking about her.’
you’re bitter with your words, but how dare he make it seem like he cares. ‘i did, but not anymore since im fucking annoying.’
peter looks at you, you’re choosing to avoid eye contact even if he knows you’re re-reading the same paragraph over and over. ‘you’re not annoying. who told you that?’
oh, you stare at him. you burn the glare of a thousand suns into his eyes, a moment of rage when you picture his head exploding.
‘you did.’
peter throws his controller down, he’s shot instantly. there’s not even a peek at the screen. ‘i did?’ his mind is counting back, when and the most important, why would he say that?
‘you said and i quote, ‘you’re fucking annoying.’ so don’t sit here and pretend you want to hear my stories or whatever. you’re a fucking liar and you think i’m annoying.’
in the time it takes to blink, peter’s grabbing your book away and forcing you to look at him. ‘i didn’t mean it. you’re not annoying, not now, not ever.’
you push his hands away. ‘you do. you apologized for yelling at me but not for calling me annoying. you said it and you meant it.’
‘i’m a sore loser with a big mouth. i don’t think you’re annoying, i’ve never thought you were annoying, and i never will think you’re annoying.’
you don’t buy it. he sure seemed to enjoy your silence for the past week and you tell him that. ‘no i didn’t. you think because i don’t say something, i don’t know it’s happening. i knew you were more quiet and less touchy, but i figured you were really into your new book- not that i hurt your feelings.’
it’s nice to know your efforts weren’t for nothing, but you still feel a sting in your heart. ‘you said i always bother you, and that i do that every time you play.’
peter shakes his head, he’s doing everything in his power to make you toss this idea you think he has about you. ‘i worded it wrong, that’s on me.’
‘what i meant-‘ peter tugs on your knee, you can’t escape his eyes if you tried. ‘what i meant was that it feels like you want my attention most when i’m in the zone and super concentrated. i love that you want to talk to me or sit with me, i just want to win a game too, that’s all.’
you sniff, a threat of a cry if he tries something like this again. ‘so, you don’t hate me or find me fucking annoying?’ peter frowns, he hates that he caused a mental breakdown of sorts behind the scenes over something he didn’t even realize he said.
‘never ever. you’re my girl, trouble. i’m an idiot who doesn’t deserve your passive aggressiveness. next time i act like that, feel free to throw the controller at my head.’
it comes way too quick, you’ve been waiting for this. ‘deal.’

Things that happen within the first few hours of AC6:
1. You get shot with a huge-ass laser mid-atmosphere entry. You barely survive this, landing several miles away from your intended landing zone. Welcome to Rubicon 3.
2. You have a mech built with bargain bin parts, barely held together with hope and spite. It has a energy sword though, so that’s nice.
3. Not even two seconds after your, very rough, landing, you get a call from your “Handler”. He is ostensibly in charge of your well-being. This begins and ends with him sending you off on missions he’s fairly certain you’ll survive and charges you for the damage you get to your mech, the bullets you use, and he’s also cut out a piece of your brain to put in augmentations that will make you a slightly better mech pilot. In the top Most Horrible People On This Planet contest, he wouldn’t make it to the top 10.
4. You make your way through a derelict hunk of junk that’s threatening to collapse on top of you. Not even two minutes into this journey, you’re getting shot at with missiles.
5. You finally reach your intended destination, a burning husk of a city filled with scavengers and low lives who will shoot you on sight. You are here to grave rob.
6. The reason you are grave robbing is connected to the fact you got shot in orbit, you are here illegally, and you need to find a license from any fresh corpse so you can steal the identity on it and be able to do mercenary work.
7. You go through four corpses before you find one with a license that can pass muster.
8. Mid corpse robbing a gunship sent by The Space Police spots you and you have to shot it down so it can’t kill you or, even worse, stop you from stealing the identity you just found.
9. As soon as you get registered in the Mercenary Rolodex, which takes less then a second of an A.I taking a look and saying “alright checks out”, you have two missions. One of them has you killing a bunch of resistance fighters from the planet’s native population on behalf of a weapons company that really wants to do business here. 10. The next mission has you going to a base owned by that very same company and blowing up everything you can find there. This does not anger that company one bit, if anything it just convinces them you are a very thorough worker. 11. Very shortly after that, you are tasked with destroying a prototype mech by another company before it can get into mass production. That mech is being piloted by what can only be described as an Anime Protag who is in the worst possible franchise for his type of character. You can murder him in less then two minutes if you know what you’re doing. You can hear him desperately fight for his life the entire time. 12. After that, before you even get to clean the blood and oil and broken dreams off your robot, you get a call from a merc group leader saying that he’s seen you murder that guy real good, a guy who was auditioning to join his group, and likes the cut of your jib. He gives you the callsign he was gonna give Anime Protag before you blew him the fuck up. He laughs and tells you to be careful since it’s an unlucky number. This is the least morally repugnant thing you’ll do all game.
13. A while after that, you go into a power plant and destroy the generator, it promptly blasts you in the face with the red radioactive Super Fuel that toasted this planet a few years back.
14. You survive, somehow, and you get a disembodied voice of some girl in your ear. You tell your handler about this and he just shrugs it off with “oh yeah that’s probably a symptom of the lobotomy, don’t worry about it”. The voice is probably the most moral person on this fire blasted hell scape of a planet.

in honor of steven and the ghoul boys shitting the proverbial bed, here's some of my favorite youtube channels/podcasts with similar vibes!
michael reeves: an extremely unhinged youtuber who makes robots! he only posts once or twice a year, but his videos are super worth it!
sorta stupid: my favorite reaction channel. these guys are super chill and funny, and they are the ultimate allies (go check out their toh series if you wanna see them be huge lumity shippers!)
microwave society: they also do reactions, but they specialize in shitty kids movies (and the occasional classic like megamind or shrek). check out their veggietales videos if you want to laugh until you puke.
max0r: does unhinged video game reviews that are like crack for people with adhd.
anthpo: he's not making videos anymore, but all his stuff is up on youtube and he perfectly balances feel-good and funny.
cryptid keeper podcast: this podcast has major early-unsolved vibes and they somewhat have the skeptic/believer dynamic as well.

It's funny to me how Armoured Core 6 spawned like an entire sub-section of Mecha fiction that isn't even based around the game's actual overall content but rather an exaggerated form of some very specific dynamics and ideas that crop up. And like the extent to which this sub-section "really" exists is kinda debatable, being something you only see in like short-form erotic fiction posted on Social Media and Fan-Fiction websites. But it's "real" enough to spawn a whole backlash to it which is also funny because of the stubborn refusal to recognise this fiction as like its own thing
And I'm not saying that this whole sub-section is "good" or that you have to respect it or that it's a thoughtful and compelling reflection of broader Mecha fiction. It's certainly reasonable to dislike this style of Mecha fiction. But you have to at least realise that this sort of thing is it's own style and stop criticising it as just a failed attempt of something more mainstream. Like I'll often see indignant cries of "Do these people even watch Robot shows? How can they call themselves Mecha fans?" and like yeah I'm sure a lot of people who enjoy this form of Erotic Mecha fiction only engage in that specific form of Mecha; which may make them fans of something you don't like but it's stupid to call them "fake fans". And there's also people who do very much engage with and enjoy other works of Mecha fiction but are obviously going to take a very different tone when talking about such erotic Mecha fiction in contrast to Gundam or something. They are very different takes on the same broad idea; interest in one doesn't automatically include interest in the other but that doesn't make them mutually exclusive either
I think an obvious illustrations of this is the whole "Imagine if a Mech Pilot was just a normal guy" post that was going around. To fans of the broader Mecha genre, both Super and Real robot, this comes off as a pretty inane thing to say. It's a common enough idea even among the most well known and successful properties; hardly something you have to "imagine" because most genre fans would have outright seen it. Not to mention the fact that most "proper" mech pilots are just ordinary human soldiers who have been trained for a special job. Like it's not a novel idea in the slightest. But within the specific context of (loosely) Armoured Core 6 inspired erotic Mecha fiction it takes on a whole new meaning. In such fiction your average pilot is some sort of lobotomised cyborg puppygirl, with the simultaneous transhuman and subhuman status of the pilot being a consistently major thematic aspect of the sub-genre. In that context, it would be pretty weird and fucked up for an ordinary guy to be caught in the middle of all that
Which isn't something you need to find interesting or compelling as a Mecha fan. It's perfectly understandable to reject this sub-genre and its ideas as stupid or obnoxious or whatever. But that rejection has to be a conscious act, not a reflexive outburst about how it's different from your preferred form of Mecha fiction. If you're going to criticise this sub-genre of Mecha then the criticisms need to be on its own terms; around what it's actually trying to achieve. You're missing the point entirely if you main criticism of horny mech posts is their failure to understand the themes of Mobile Suit Gundam.

Ever wonder who's on the other side of the screen making fun of you? Let's take a look today at one prime example!
This is someone who posts daily to Systems Cringe. Now, believe it or not, I'm not a system - so I don't have a dog in this fight. But what I am is a good human being. So naturally, someone who spends their time 24/7 bullying people online made me go "yuck"!
but.. who are you letting get under your skin? let's recap!
these people spend all day on reddit, discord, and god knows where else discussing and posting about people they look feverishly online for to post (hi, you found my post by accident, but I'm not a system)!
they think the world revolves around them and DID. they think that everybody has a grasp on syscourse and people you meet in real life will ask about your trauma to see if you pass the validity test or not. but no, because you guys have never been outside, here's how it usually goes talking to someone else IRL: "hi, nice weather today, isn't it?"
they're unhappy with their lives and themselves. let's take a look at the example we picked for today's lesson - they constantly post on Reddit, red flag, right? but what they post about shows how pathetic their life truly is
they're obsessed with my spouse, posting them daily, but sorry, we're monogamous! find another relationship to join and crash..
they talk about how the world sucks because nobody notices their art. I would feel bad but.. karma much?
they post yaoi hazbin art and discuss gay hazbin hotel ships. please, don't let a yaoi viziepop shipper ruin your day - they clearly don't have much going for them already. (no offense to viziepop fans.. smh)
they are OBSESSED with character.ai to the point of posting about it regularly as well. I mean, I knew they needed to touch grass, but wow.. make some real friends! your waifu robot doesn't really love you (or exist!)
they're an adult but browse minor-oriented spaces like teenager subreddits - WEIRD much?
they also just have very weird stances which doesn't sit right with me, especially given the above - like defending the option to romance a child in a video game (because she's actually 200000000, duh) and comparing dating someone with DID to dating an anime child.. wow..
and so much more.. horrible takes and sad cries for help...
So what's the point? I just want to remind everyone that the people on the other end of the screen are often super miserable and unhappy with their own lives, riddled with their own flaws, and use others as a punching bag to feel better about themself and project their insecurities on - like this dude! As someone who again is not a system, regardless of any takes on syscourse, bullying is just objectively pathetic. Do better. And if you're a victim of their bullying, don't let them get to you.

Is King Bob-omb a robot?
Is he? Huh?
Recently I have been thinking about the nature of King Bob-omb, because I think it is more interesting than one may think upon first consideration! Yes, he is a big living bomb. But what does this mean for him? Let's discuss!
Bob-ombs
Bob-ombs! They are bombs. Even a dog could look at a Bob-omb and tell you "Rhat's a ralking romb! Hreeheehee!" What do we know about Bob-ombs? Well, they are very clearly artificially created entities. I mean, they're bombs. They're powered by wind-up keys! And they're mass-produced in factories. These are artificial, mechanical creatures. Automatons! The ones in Sunshine are very overtly robotic, and even if those ones are Bowser Junior creations, it may reflect how he views the real ones.
There is a history of sentient, talking Bob-ombs and Bob-omb society, so these are clearly rather advanced automatons. All the more reason for me to confidently declare them to be robots! It's weird to make a living bomb capable of thought and emotion, but as established by Origami King, the ones working for Bowser are intent on making their single blast really make a difference. So I guess making them sapient is ultimately helpful for Evil purposes, if unethical.
King Bob-omb
Now let's consider the King! That guy loves to be considered. He is NOT mass-produced. He does not have a wind-up key. He does not even have a fuse! And of course, he has arms. No Bob-ombs have arms...
...but Chuckyas do! Big, Bob-omb-like, with arms for throwing Marios. King Bob-omb seems like he could be a stronger, more refined model of Chuckya! Chuckyas are absolutely robotic, so this does make a good case for the King being such, as well!
Could a robot have such a magnificent mustache, though? Yes, a robot could. Even standard Bob-ombs are capable of having mustaches, as are creatures made of ice, and also this is a silly cartoon world. So yes, I think a robot could have a mustache.
Mecha King Bob-omb
Now HERE's the thing that got me thinking of this in the first place! Mecha King Bob-omb, from Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. This is a robotic version of King Bob-omb... hm. This IS obviously a robotic replica based on him, and there's no reason a robot based on another robot couldn't exist, but that WOULD make the "Mecha" title pretty weird! Is the original king mechanical or what? I guess the "Mecha" could also be referring to this version being a pilotable mecha, unlike the real version, which is a Guy. This brings up questions, and answers none!
The Big Dud
Finally, the last possibility of King Bob-omb's origins. If you are aware of the Super Mario 64 Iceberg, you are aware of the Big Dud theory! After Big Bob-omb (as he is known in 64) is defeated, an additional metal ball will be rolling around at the base of the mountain, and a Bob-omb Buddy will declare that the Big Bob-omb is nothing but a big dud now. This has led some to believe that the additional cannonball might be Big Bob-omb himself, made inanimate upon his defeat!
And then THIS gets me thinking about Power Stars. They do weird things to Mario creatures! I think it is likely King Bob-omb could have been created BECAUSE of the Power Star he holds. Maybe he was an ordinary Bob-omb enhanced into a new, regal form by the Star, or maybe he even was an ordinary inanimate metal ball, chosen to be extra resilient compared to his subjects! You know, in 64, he doesn't even explode like a Bob-omb. Is he a FRAUD? (No, he explodes in other games)
Final thoughts
So, after all this analysis, is King Bob-omb a robot or what? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. No one knows. This guy is weird! He can fly with no effort if thrown off the mountain. When killed, he congratulates Mario for killing him and invites him to do it again sometime. If I HAD to come to a conclusion... I would say he is technically robotic, but that's not something the designers/developers actually ever have or had in mind, and is just a result of being a Bob-omb.
I don't mind that there is no concrete answer! I was not expecting there to be! This is Super Mario we're talking about. They're not going to expect us to analyze evidence about characters and come to conclusions. But it is so much fun to do! That's why we do it! Call this guy a robot if you want! Or affirm that he is not if you don't! I don't really care as long as you are nice!

Looking at your recent commissions, those backgrounds are soo pretty!! Do you have any tips for backgrounds? I always struggle with them :>
aAA many many thanks!!
backgrounds can absolutely be a struggle but they don't have to be! they just require a little more creative planning~!
whether it be a commission or a personal drawing, if I'm building an elaborate art piece i focus on establishing the background First.
the background is the stage for your character! planning the background first will make it easier to tailor the character's actions and how they interact with the environment around them.
planning the background first can be the difference between your character standing awkwardly front and center with the setting going on behind them, or actually participating in their environment.
if i'm super stumped for background ideas, i browse stock image sites to get inspiration. sometimes it helps to doodle on an image to generate some ideas - kinda like you're playing with JPEGs like dolls.
that said - while i'm pinpointing WHAT i want to draw, i keep the ideas loose. i don't want to focus on the itty-bitty details until i've got the overall aesthetic and layout in mind, as i might get inspired to add something in later!
THUMBNAILING
if you're planning a big piece it can be helpful to break it down into something bite-sized before you go all in and start lining or painting. these are "thumbnails" - fast little sketches that establish the scene in a way that doesn't consume a lot of time or effort. it's also great as a little perspective exercise as a treat.
here i decided i want to draw a character walking home in a back alley street. with these photo references in mind, i can plan a layout and how the character will act in the scene. is this a candid shot? are they posing cutely? are they looking down at us in a tense way? there are many ideas to be had!
after you've chosen the layout / vibe for your idea, you can scale up your thumbnail to your preferred canvas size and start fleshing out the details. be sure to keep referring to your reference images to get additional ideas, such as storefronts, items, props etc!
3D MODELS
If you're trying to create a unique environment that photo references simply cannot help you visualize, 3D models exist! This gives you that ability to rotate / scale things for better visualization. Clip Studio has a vast catalogue of 3D models to download For Free that you can fiddle around with. i know there are many 3D builder sites out there as well, though i've never made use of them so i'm afraid i cannot recommend any off the top of my head. hell, you can even use the Sims game to design a setting and go from there!
also if anyone is going to come into my house and say 3D models are cheating: they are not. using a 3D model to better grasp an angle or get a better idea for perspective is not cheating. using 3D models to help plan the environment in your art is not cheating. they are no different than brushes; these are tools made to HELP YOU. use them!
PERSPECTIVE
perspective and angles can make a HUGE difference in the art piece. there's nothing wrong with static long shots! if that's what you want to draw, do it!! there's no right and wrong here!
but if you're finding your work to be a little robotic and stiff, slap an angle in there. consider an overhead view. these same techniques are applied to photography and film! nothing wrong with wide shots, but every once in a while it can help to throw in a dutch angle.
if there is one note i'd like to leave off on, it's that your backgrounds do not have to be 100% accurate-to-life to be Good. unless realism is something you're really striving for in your style, don't feel compelled to nitpick every brick and leaf in your art. us artists can tend to over-prune our work until our art looks a little bare and soulless. flaws can give your work character, and that's often a lot more appealing than how accurate the scale ratio between background building A and building B are [again, unless you WANT to go for that realistic look then you can fuss over those details all you like].
i hope this helped a little! MY APOLOGIES FOR MAKING IT SO LONG AH

(SPOILERS if you haven't seen the show yet):
Lois Lane has a cut out clip of Vicki Vale. Vicki Vale is a journalist in Gotham City. Her first appearance was in Batman #49 (1948) as seen in the panel here (W: Bill Finger, A: Lew Sayre and Bob Kane, I: Charles Paris, L: Ira Schnapp).
Looks like Jimmy is a fan of Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Good video game taste.
Jimmy mentions a psychic starfish and the one starfish in the DC universe who is psychic is Starro the Conqueror, who's first appearance is in Brave and the Bold 28 (1960) (the cover art here is done by Mike Sekowsky, Murphy Anderson, and Ira Schnapp) and has the power to mind control people.
Lois, after barging into Perry White's office about a story, mentions Mt. Simonson. This is a neat name drop to Superman: The Man of Steel writer Louise Simonson, one of the nicest comic book writers you'll ever meet. She helped co-create John Henry Irons a.k.a Steel with artist of the Superman: The Man of Steel comic, Jon Bogdanove (really hope we get to see Irons in this show too).
Jon Bogdanove also gets a name drop here as does...
Dan Jurgen, comic book writer and artist on the Superman comic in the 90s (also one of my favorite Superman artists).
Now who are these kids that call themselves the Newskid Legion? Well, they are a VERY deep DC cut and reference to the Newsboy Legion back in the 1940s. The group was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, LEGENDARY comic book creators.
The page here is from Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #16 (1986) with the art by Jack Kirby and Karl Kesel. Most of the Newskid Legion is named after the Newsboy Legion members
Gabby and Big Words here share names with their Newsboy Legion counterparts as does Flip Johnson...
who shares names with Walter "Flip" Johnson here on the cover of Superman's Pal Jimmy Olson #137 (1971) which was done by Jack Kirby, Neal Adams, and Gaspar Saladino.
Patty, the cartoonist of the Newskid Legion homages this panel from Adventures of Superman #500 (1993) (W: Karl Kesel, P: Tom Grummet, I: Doug Hazelwood, C: Glenn Whitmore, L: Albert DeGuzman), the first appearance of Superboy, Conner Kent/ Kon-El.
But who is the one below that drawing? We'll his name is in Big Word's word puzzle, in the show. It's Jim Harper, the Guardian.
Jim Harper becomes the Newsboy Legion's legal guardian despite their causing trouble for him. The page here is from Star Spangled Comics #7, the Newsboy Legion and the Guardian's first appearance, by Joe Simon, Jack Kirby, and Whitney Ellsworth. You might've seen the Guardian on the recent Young Justice cartoon.
When Lois, Clark, and Jimmy go investigate about the smuggled robots in Metropolis, Jimmy makes a reference to super intelligent gorillas in France. This is a subtle hint at Monsieur Mallah, the Doom Patrol villain who will be in the show along with his partner, the Brain. Both made their first appearance in Doom Patrol #86 (1964) .
The cover art here is done by Arnold Drake, Bob Brown, and Ira Schnapp.
Later in the episode we see Clark receive his powers and he is surrounded with electricity, giving off Superman Blue vibes when in the comics, Superman gained electricity powers and became Electric Blue Superman who's first appearance was in Superman #123 (1997) (cover art by Dan Jurgens, Joe Rubenstein, Patrick Martin, and Todd Klein.

Some WxS headcanons!
Tsukasa's posture is super good due to being a pianist (and because bad posture is unbecoming of a star). It contrasts Nene and Rui's horrible shrimp posture which is caused by gaming and working on robots hunched. And you know that feeling where your back is really straight because you're excited? Emu also has good posture because of that.
Nene enjoys underground industrial music but is too nervous to go to music venues by herself. The rest of WxS accompany her and even let Nene decide their outfits! (Cue WxS pulling up to venues dressed in cybergoth fashion.)
Emu struggles with intrusive thoughts and anxiety and the rest of WxS always comfort her.
They all do their makeup together backstage and help each other with it. Rui is the makeup expert while Nene isn't super experienced. Tsukasa likes natural makeup while Rui and Emu enjoy it for art purposes rather than beautification. Nene is fine without makeup but may conceal her eyebags after gaming all night.
Tsukasa loves doing his nails and doing his friends' nails too! The rest of WxS are usually the subjects to his nail design experimentation. They all have cute matching nails, courtesy of Tsukasa. He also likes sewing costumes for them and creating clothes based on their requests.

Sibling Shuffle: Suspicion
“What? Why on earth would Dr. Wily make a robot that fights robots that HE reprogrammed?”
“I’m not sure. …Maybe I should check on her, just to be safe— huh?”
“What? What is it?”
“The lab door - it’s locked from the inside!”
—————
Sorry again for the delay!
————— LORE:
So. I’m not sure if it’s really established if Bass was really that badly damaged from Shade Man or if he was playing it up, but Piano did sustain heavy damage. That being said, she always was more of a strategist than a battle-hungry fighter, so I can’t imagine that she didn’t see this as an opportunity to accomplish her goals with a minimal amount of conflict.
As for the Lights, Dr. Light was always very optimistic, but he had a strange feeling about his daughter’s new alleged ally. Not enough that he would refuse fixing her (he’s way too nice to do that) but definitely enough that Blues decided to look into who built her. That search wasn’t going very well… Until Dr. Light got a good look at Piano’s systems, and realized just how similar they were to Roll’s.
This was weird to him for several reasons:
Internal systems often look very different from Robot Master to Robot Master.
Roll is a first-generation Lightbot, making it strange for someone would copy her design - there have probably been many advancements in technology since her creation that would be more efficient, but Piano’s systems look almost the same as Roll’s.
Roll is a Helper robot/Child, making it weird that someone would copy her design to make a combat robot. While the public may know her as the heroic Super Fighting Robot, Roll wasn’t built with that in mind, hence her childlike design. Piano also has a childlike design, but she identified herself as a robot built for combat (making design choices like a child’s face and robot hair very strange).
So. Someone very likely copied Roll’s design. And that Someone knew how to do it and knew how to design a core strong enough to support a robot like Piano, and knew how to build weapons similar to Roll’s Mega Buster. And guess who fits that criteria and is a serial plagiarist?
——— This next section is just breaking down Blues’s List of People Who (Probably) Didn’t Build Piano (at least, the candidates he listed aloud.)
Cossack Robotics Laboratory: He looked into them first because Dr. Cossack did build a combat robot in the past (even if it was under duress). I decided to go with one of the few things I know about the Megamix/Gigamix continuity: the whole thing with Skull & Ring Man’s functions. I went with Skull Man being the only CossackBot made for combat, while Ring Man was made to be like a detective (though he hadn’t been activated as a detective - his first time waking up was with Wily’s programming installed). Unlike that version of Skull Man, though, Sibling Shuffle Skull Man was repurposed once Kalinka was safely un-kidnapped - now he’s like her bodyguard (just to be sure she is never re-kidnapped). (Credit for that last idea.)
Geoworks International: His investigation into Geoworks was probably the quickest lol. He kinda just called up Tempo and was basically like “Hey, you get any new sisters since Rhythm? No? Yeah, I didn’t think Dr. LaLinde built her anyway.” (He didn’t want to speak to Dr. LaLinde directly, so called his best friend instead lol)
The Military: The energy consumption of robots with independent thought was a bit high** for the US*** government to want any. They have plenty of Joes, instead. Sniper, Gunner, Hammer, Rider, Apache, Cannon… and those have been getting the job done well so far. If it ain’t broke, you know?
———————
Footnotes:
*The events of the 6th Game. I can’t imagine that with the sponsor of the tournament gone (for all intents and purposes) they would keep it going another year. And with Wily breaking out of jail & causing a ruckus so often, I assume even if making more fighting robots wasn’t illegal, it would be very much frowned upon/side-eyed nervously
**Blues himself serves as an example. Granted, Robot Master technology becomes more and more efficient as the timeline progresses, but even then I think the government would be… hesitant to implement technology that Dr. Wily consistently reprograms.
***This assumption is based on this map from Megaman 8, which implies Light Labs to be somewhere in America.
————
I’ll try to get the next Minicomic out in a good amount of time. (Might answer questions / comments in the meantime? Idk)

Never Enough...
(jungkook x reader)
Description: What should you do when your husband is pulling away from you? Why can't things be as good as they used to be? That's when her phone buzzes a text from an unknown number. It's a video.
Author's preface: Hi guys, so this is going to be super duper angsty, and there will be no fluff at the end. It's just sadness, because I like to read angst, but I find it so taboo that they always make up in the end when life sometimes isn’t like that. So please enjoy!
Warnings: cheating, mental breakdown, mature language, mature scenes, and no comfort ending
Also, I’m very open to doing part 2's; if you want me to do part 2 of any of my one shots, I'll try my best to write another part.
Jeon Jungkook, one of the most successful businessmen in South Korea. He was a gatsby in his own respect. The parties he threw were big and extravagant; not many had the chance to know who he was or who he pretended to be. I knew the real him once, but I think he fakes who he is so much that I fear he is losing who he is. I stand over the stove once again tonight, not unlike the rest as of late. Jungkook isn’t home, and he is at work as I listen to the humming of my fan. The pure silence in this house is haunting. I find myself listening to my own breathing, the soft sound of the radio playing the song I just put on, and the sound of laughs and life surrounding our house as we lived in a big city. I stand here in the dim lighting of the kitchen, smelling the fresh rice I just made and the spice of the marinated pork belly and the peppers I’m cutting up. I continue cutting them, watching the small red slices pile up and fall off the knife. I throw them into the pan with the pork belly, almost robot-like. I fry the side beautifully, and then I plate the spicy pork belly and rice, and I sit at the end of the table and set his side of the table. I wait 5 minutes, then 10, then 30, and finally I realize it’s been 2 hours. I look at my food completely and utterly disgusted. I take his food and put it in the kitchen, and I leave a note by the coat rack so he knows that it’s left there, and I cover my bowl in saran wrap and put it in the fridge, adding to the tubs of food that are left in there. I go upstairs, and I go to our shared room and wash up and dry my hair before putting on my skincare products and putting on my white nightgown. I take a handle of whiskey from my bar cart and pour it in a glass. I look at my vinyl records, and I pick out one; it’s an album of Lana Del Rey's. as I’m setting up the record. I hear the door opening and closing from downstairs, but I pay it no attention, and I set the player to young and beautiful, and I open the arched doors to the huge balcony, and the curtains blow and flutter in the wind. I take my whiskey and I walk out, and I walk to the edge and lean on the railing as the record starts. I take a sip as I look up at the moon. It's almost full; just a sliver is missing, but that makes it just as empty as if it had over half or just a sliver. I look up at the moon, and I tear up, letting myself cry for once. I can feel the tears escaping my eyes and sliding down my cheeks. I lick my dry lips, and my cheeks are rosy from the bite of the wind's coolness. I hold myself tighter as I stand there. I hear the bedroom door open, and I don’t look back already, knowing who it is.
Jungkooks pov
I walk in the room and I see the balcony doors are open, figuring she is standing out there, and I move towards the door. I stop as I see her standing there in a white nightgown fluttering in the wind and her hair coming up in bits being blown through the air. She looks like a complete angel as the moonlight covers her, catching her skin and making it shine. I softly walk towards her and see she has a glass of whiskey, and the song changes to video games by Lana Del Rey. I catch the side of her face and see a tear on her cheek. It feels wrong to appreciate how the moon catches her tears, but I can’t help it. I stand beside her. “What happened?” I ask with my tone as cold as usual. “Nothing you need to worry about,” she says softly, and she wipes them away. I can't help but notice her rosy cheeks and nose, how the moon catches her features, how her eyes sparkle, and how beautiful she looks even after crying.
Y/n pov
I wipe my tears. I take the rest of my whiskey and drink it all in one go, and I turn and start walking in. I set the whiskey glass on the side, and I lay down in bed. A few minutes later, Jungkook walks in and closes the balcony doors. He gets ready for bed and lays down beside me, and he turns his back towards me. I turn off the light and lay there, and I listen to the silence. I slowly start to go to sleep.I wake up the next day and feel the bed beside me; there is no one there. I’m used to this by now, but I still feel a certain disappointment. I go about my day as usual and I start cooking dinner again. I finish it up by plating it, but there is a buzz from my phone. I open it up, and my heart drops. I see my husband and another woman in his office on camera, and he is fucking her. I feel the tears welling up in my eyes when another buzz comes, “Looks like your husband wants me better.” I hear the door open. I wait there over the food, fists balled up, leaning over the counter with tears in my eyes. “What’s for dinner?” I don’t respond, “Did you hear, I said what’s for dinner?” I imagined all the nights I was left alone. This is why he was always late to come home and why he was turning cold. He didn't love me. I started chanting in my head. I pick up a plate and throw it on the ground at his feet. He jumps up. “WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?” she looks up at him. “What the fuck is wrong with me?” she breaks the other plate at his feet. “YOU ARE FUCKING ANOTHER WOMAN.” The color drains from his face as he tries to talk. “Baby I-” she cries and slides down against the wall crying. “Baby shhh,” he says, coming towards her, “get away from me.” She says her voice is hard and harsh. He tries to hug her. “Don’t touch me,” she says, her voice breaking. She sobs and cries. “You don’t love me,” she chants over and over. He is crying, “No baby, I do love you. Please listen, please.” She breathes in a shuddering breath, “I love you. I wait for you every night. I wait all day. I feel for you in the morning. I wait for your love at night. But guess what I get? Nothing. You don’t love me. What happened to the man who would kiss me and cuddle me? What happened to the man who would show me off at every party? Where is the man who cried when he saw me on our wedding day? Where is he because it feels like he died?" He cries watching me cry. “I’m so sorry” is all that could leave his lips. We both sit here in a loud silence, both crying, and he crawls to me and leans his forehead against my hand that sits on my knee. “Please forgive me, please, baby, don’t leave me.” he pleads. “Please, please just speak.” A sob goes through his body as he pleads. I get up and walk to the bedroom, grabbing some clothes, and he runs behind me, hugging me and sobbing. "Please, baby, please don’t go.” She stands there and cries when she grabs his hands and unravels them from her body. “If you don’t let me go now, I know I won’t be able to stay with you, please, Jungkook.” He lets her go and watches her pack sobs leaving his body. She zips up her suitcase and takes her bags downstairs, and she puts on her shoes before going out the door. She cries as she loads her suitcase in her car, and she sits in the driver seat and sobs.
His pov
This house is useless. Her closet is empty. The house no longer hears her humming; it feels like the walls are crying as she leaves. I grab the small box I keep in my tableside drawer and look through the pictures of her. I miss my happy girl, my lover. I miss her smile and her laugh. I miss that look in her eyes. I need to let her go in order for us to have even a chance of working out, but I don’t know if I can. I can never let her go. Without her is a punishment worse than death. It is the punishment to live life without hope, happiness, or love. I have to find a way to get her back, but I don’t know how.

Dimitrescu Sisters If they were Content Creators Headcanon (for fun)
Bela Dimitrescu
-The most wholesome, mom-esque content ever
-Will give you good life advice, whether it be shopping tips on how to get more groceries for less, or tips on how to manage your finances
-Makes cooking videos, sewing videos, make up videos, candle making videos, nail painting vidoes- basically anything to do with crafts and she's probably done it
-Speaks in a calm tone, has mellow music in the background
-Uses very calm colors in her videos, meaning her shirts are in cool tones of blues, grays, whites, and blacks.
-Her backdrop is a clean and organized space- a light wood bookshelf, plain walls, some minimalist flower vases, and a diffuser

Nicktoons Unite: Rewritten
I'm pretty sure most of you reading this know about the Nicktoons Unite series.
Running from 2005 to 2008 with a total of four games, the series saw some of Nickelodeon's most popular Nicktoons coming together to stop whatever the big threat of the game there was.
Even after almost 20 years, these games are still fondly remembered for how well they utilized the crossover aspect and how cool it was to see so many of Nickelodeon's most popular characters actually interacting with each other.
But apart from that, the games are pretty mid (specifically in terms of gameplay).
So recently, I've been thinking about what the Nicktoons Unite series would've been like if it actually had good gameplay and even went a little more all-out with the crossover aspect than it already did.
And being the madman that I am, I'm gonna make this a 4-part series!
Starting off with the game that started it all, Nicktoons Unite!
So without further ado, let's get this party started!
Gameplay and Presentation:
Nicktoons Unite! would still have the action-RPG style, but a little better.
And for a few reasons.
For starters, the characters will move much faster than they previously did.
Which is something I appreciate the later games for doing.
And the combat is a lot more fleshed-out.
Each character has a light attack, a heavy attack, a grab and a throw, a trip, a stun, a pop-up, an aerial attack, a block, a dodge, a ground slam, a double jump (though that varies between characters), 6 or 7 special attacks, one or two boosts, a few passive abilities, and a super attack that is able to unleash an insane amount of damage across a wider range.
Along with that, there will be enemies with specific resistances.
For example, say you’re dealing with an enemy that’s heavily resistant to energy/elemental/magical attacks.
So in order to beat that enemy, you’ll have to switch to a character who’s heavily reliant on physical attacks.
Since this is an action RPG, there will be tons of strategy.
And in terms of presentation, the worlds would be more expanded than they originally were.
Including major locations and characters that weren't in the original.
But biggest glow-up in the presentation would be with the music.
Everybody knows that Nicktoons Unite's music is pretty weak.
It's basically elevator music, and doesn't really fit the worlds we go to at all.
But here, the music would actually strive to replicate the scores of each Nicktoon.
So much so that I could imagine they would even receive help from the composers of those respective Nicktoons.
But don't worry, Guy Moon isn't gonna be giving every action its own music cue here.
The Story:
The overall story is more or less the same, but has a lot more content here.
First off, let's talk about the Nicktoons themselves.
The team still consists of Jimmy Neutron, SpongeBob SquarePants, Timmy Turner and Danny Phantom.
But this version would see five more members of the team.
These being Jenny Wakeman, Otto Rocket, Tommy Pickles (the All Grown Up! one), Tak and Avatar Aang.
As for why they're here.
I remember reading something somewhere about how Rocket Power, All Grown Up!, and Tak and the Power of Juju were all meant to be featured in Nicktoons Unite!
As for Jenny and Aang.....why shouldn't they be here?
Jenny especially since at the time of this game's release, My Life as a Teenage Robot has been around for two years.
I've always found it weird how she was never included in the main stories of any of the games.
I'm guessing that they wanted the Nicktoons to be a boys-only thing.
And given Nickelodeon's track record, I could definitely see that being the case....
Though I have no clue why Aang was never included in these games, especially since Avatar: The Last Airbender was one of the biggest Nicktoons on the channel during its run.
Maybe it has to do with the fact that it is was the only Nicktoon at the time at was primarily serialized.
So trying to figure out where the games could take place during the three Books would've been tricky.
But given that Avatar has comics in the Nickelodeon Magazine that took place between their adventures and are presumably canon, I think they could've pulled it off.
Anyway, just like the original version of the game, these nine have teamed up thanks to The Syndicate.
Which now consists of Professor Calamitous, Plankton, Mr. Crocker, Vlad Plasmius, Vexus, Tlaloc and Zuko.
As for how they're each contributing to their team.
Calamitous is who's creating The Doomsday Machine.
Plankton, Crocker, Vlad, Tlaloc and Zuko are each obtaining energy from their respective worlds to power it.
Those energy sources being jellyfish electricity, fairy magic, ghost energy, juju magic, and waterbending & earthbending.
And Vexus is creating an army of special robots for The Syndicate to use in their respective worlds.
Thought with all being said, you're probably wondering why the hell Otto and Tommy are here since they have no notable villains to speak of.
Well it's because The Syndicate have already conquer their respective worlds and are planning to make the inhabitants into cybernetic slaves.
And so, with our heroes united, they decide to head to Ocean Shores and Eucaipah (the All Grown Up! world) to free them first from The Syndicate's rule.
Upon arriving in Ocean Shores, they find the city to be particularly deserted.
But soon enough, they do manage to run into Twister and Sam.
The two reveal that the people of Ocean Shores have been captured by the Syndicate's troops and taken away.
Luckily, Twister and Sam were able to escape.
But the likes of Reggie, Raymundo, Tito and Noelani weren't so lucky....
And with the knowledge of The Syndicate planning on turning the residents into cybernetic slaves, the Nicktoons concur that there's some kind of base in this world where the process is bound to take place.
And so, our heroes decide to search around the city in order to find said base.
The world of Ocean Shores would consist of the following sub-areas:
The Cul-de-sac, Ocean Streets, Madtown, Rocket Beach, The Boardwalk, The Woods and The Town Dump.
And during their search, The Nicktoons find themselves fighting off Syndicate Bots resembling skateboarders, roller-skaters and surfers.
After some time, our heroes run into Eddie, who also escaped capture.
He reveals that the citizens of Ocean Shores have been taken to The Pier, which has been turned into factory.
And with that, The Nicktoons decide to head there.
The Pier Factory would sport a circus/carnival theming to it.
With Syndicate Bots resembling clowns constantly attacking you.
After fighting through the hordes of robo-clowns, our heroes eventually make it to the holding area where the citizens of Ocean Shores are being kept.
Before they can free them, The Nicktoons find themselves having to fight a robotic extreme sports star known Rad-Tron 3000 (who would be voiced by Rob Paulsen).
Rad-Tron attacks with four different modes.
Skateboard mode has him speeding all over the place on his board, all while ramming you his helmeted head.
Roller-skate mode is pretty similar to skateboard mode, but he attacks you with kicks and swings from a hockey stick.
Surfing mode has him ride a surfboard that can automatically create an actual wave of water.
And snowboard is pretty similar to surfing mode, but does it with a wave of snow that can slow down The Nicktoons.
Luckily, our heroes are able to defeat Rad-Tron and free the citizens of Ocean Shores.
And with Ocean Shore now free, they decide to head to Eucaipah next.
Upon arriving there, just like with Ocean Shores, they find the place completely deserted.
However, they would soon run into Chuckie and Susie, who reveal that same thing that happened in Ocean Shores happened to them as well, and that they were only ones who manage to avoid capture.
And so, our heroes head off to find where the citizens are being taken.
The areas of this world include:
The Pickles' House, The Neighborhood, Eucaipah Streets, Jim Jr. Junior High School, and The Mall.
The Nicktoons eventually find the factory, which is now where The Java Lava used to be.
The factory here has an overall fruit-theme to it, and the Syndicate Bots use special guns that shoot juice.
As for the boss here, it's a robotic fat guy known as The Juicer (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson).
He attacks with punches, charges, throwing large fruits, and shoot powerful streams of juice out of his mouth.
Luckily, our heroes defeat him and free the people of Eucaipah.
With that out of the way, The Nicktoons finally decided it's time to take on their villains.
Their first stop is Tremorton, so they can stop Vexus.
Upon arriving, they come across a shocking sight….
Cluster Prime flying high the above the city.
Soon enough, they find themselves surrounded by Cluster Drones.
Thanks to them, our heroes find out that with the help of The Syndicate, Vexus has reclaimed her throne as the ruler of Cluster Prime.
Along with overthrowing and imprisoning the current ruler (and her daughter) Vega in the process.
But she’s not the only one.
Vexus has also imprison Nora, Brad, Sheldon and Tuck.
And if that wasn’t bad enough, Vexus has also conquered all of Tremorton and are forcing the residents to work in the factory creating the Syndicate Bots.
And so, our heroes decide to first free Tremorton from the rule of The Cluster, fighting off Cluster Drones and Syndicate Bots along the way.
The areas of this world include:
Downtown, Tremorton High School, and The Neighborhood.
After defeating all the Drones and Bots and freeing the city, The Nicktoons decide to head to Cluster Prime to confront Vexus and free Jenny’s mother and friends.
Along the way, they fight themselves fighting even more Cluster Drones.
They even run into a mini-boss against Smytus and Krackus.
Krackus attacks with a electricity ray, and Smytus attacks with punches, ground pounds, flying charges, and when he enters his rage mode, claw slashes and shooting spikes.
After defeating those two, our heroes finally reach Vexus, who has her captives right next her and starts threatening their lives.
And soon enough, the battle begins.
For her boss fight, Vexus attacks with punches, kicks, ground smashes, flying charges, teleporting attacks and energy blasts.
After defeating her, Vexus declares that the Nicktoons may’ve stopped here, they still have the rest of The Syndicate to worry about, right before fleeing through a portal.
And with Tremorton, Cluster Prime, and Jenny’s loved ones now freed, The Nicktoons decided to head to Amity Park next to stop Vlad.
Some time later, the team land in Casper High…..or where it used to be.
As they immediately find out, Vlad tore down the school to make way for his new castle.
And he’s captured Danny’s parents Jack and Maddie, Mr. Lancer, and a few of Danny’s classmates such as Dash.
When The Nicktoons try to attack him on the spot, Vlad knocks them all out and banishes them to The Ghost Zone Prison, where they’ll have to deal with Walker.
When they wake up, our heroes find themselves in a prison cell.
Luckily, they manage to escape with some help from The Box Ghost.
And soon enough, they start making their way out the prison, fighting off ghost prison guards along the way.
But right when they’re about finally be free, Walker stops them.
And thus, a boss fight commences.
Walker attacks with punches, kicks, stomps, and ecto-energy beams that he shoots with finger guns.
After defeating him, The Nicktoons finally escape and soon find themselves traversing through The Ghost Zone, trying to find the ghost portal that leads into Fenton Works.
Along the way, they find themselves fighting off all kinds of ghosts.
This section of the game will essentially be a boss-rush, with our heroes having fight against several of Danny's foes.
This include Skulker, The Lunch Lady, Ember McClain, Sidney Poindexter, Technus, Desiree, Johnny 13 and The Dragon Ghost.
As for how each boss would play out.
Skulker attacks with claw slashes, kicks, flying swipes, laser beams and missiles.
The Lunch Lady attacks with charges, throwing fast giant balls of meat, and mini meat monsters.
Ember attacks with guitar swings, sound waves from playing her guitar, and shooting fireballs from her hair.
Sidney attacks with eye beams, ink squirts from his pen, and telekinetically hurling rocks.
Technus (using his robot armor seen in Attack of the Killer Garage Sale and Prisoners of Love) attacks with ground slams, electrical blasts and mechanical tendrils.
Desiree attacks with enlarged fists, energy blasts, and various elemental blasts (fire, ice, wind and electricity)
Johnny 13 attacks with punches, kicks, chain whip strikes, ramming into you with his bike, and commanding his Shadow to attack.
And The Dragon Ghost fights with claw slashes, stomps, tail swipes and fire breath.
After defeating then all, The Nicktoons finally escape The Ghost Zone and make it to Fenton Works.
A short while later, our heroes meet up with Sam, Tucker and Jazz in the Amity Streets.
The trio reveal that they found a way into Vlad's Castle, that being a short-cut through The Graveyard.
And so, The Nicktoons head off to their destination, fighting Syndicate Bots resembling skeletons, vampires and zombies along the way.
But along the way, they actually gain a temporary ally in the form of Valerie, who's also trying to stop Vlad.
Although she refuses at first, she does eventually accept The Nicktoons' help (albeit begrudgingly since they do have the ghost she hates the most as a member of their team).
Valerie herself fights with charges on her hoverboard, her Ecto-Grenade Launcher, ecto guns and missiles.
Upon returning to the castle, the heroes destroy the generators that Vlad's been using to harness the ghost energy from The Ghost Zone.
And soon enough, The Nicktoons finally confront Vlad again in his throne room.
For his boss fight, Vlad attacks with punches, kicks, ecto-energy rays, and duplicates of himself.
He also teleports all over the place and crafts an energy shield around himself sometimes, which Danny will have to use Jack to break through.
After defeating him, Vlad flees through a portal.
And after freeing Danny's close ones, The Nicktoons end up doing the same thing when Jack, Maddie and Valerie decide to jump Danny.
And so, with Amity Park now free, the heroes decide to head to Pupununu next to stop Tlaloc.
Upon arriving in the Pupununu Village, The Nicktoons find out that the villagers have been turned into sheep once again.
Luckily, with the combined magic of Tak and Cosmo & Wanda, they're able to return about half of the village back to normal, including Jibola and Lok.
Thanks to Jibola, the heroes find out that Tlaloc is planning to steal the Tikis in order to summon the Jujus.
And upon doing so, he would instantly capture them and use a special generator to extract their magical energy.
And so, The Nicktoons find themselves having to retrieve the Tikis of Dead Juju, Dinky, Caged Juju, Two-Headed Juju, Belly Juju and Mind-Reading Juju.
This race against time will take our team to The Burial Grounds, Dryrock Canyon, Gloomleaf Swamp, Chicken Island, Wetstone Lake, and Gyre Mountain.
Along the way, they'll be accompanied by Flora and Fauna.
Flora fights with nature energy blasts, whirlwinds, leafy wind blasts and vines that sprout out of the ground and either hit or grab enemies.
Fauna fights by turning into different animals. These include a rhino, an orangutan, a ram, a bear, a boar, a crocodile, a jaguar, a eagle, a python, and an elephant.
And over the course of their journey in this world, The Nicktoons find themselves dealing with Syndicate Bots resembling monkeys, emus, sharks, tigers, alligators, wild dogs and wolves.
Along with some Nerbils.
But unfortunately, everytime, they end up being too late as the Tikis end up getting swiped by Pins and Needles.
Eventually, The Nicktoons head to Tlaloc's lair, The Dark Temple.
There, they find the summoned Jujus, including The Moon Juju, who was captured first via Tlaloc stealing the Moonstones like before, having their energy extracted.
Luckily, our heroes manage to free them and destroy the generators harnessing their energy.
And soon enough, they confront Tlaloc.
Tlaloc attacks with dark magic blasts, lightning bolts, summoning giant thorny tendrils, and casting spells that temporarily turn our heroes into animals.
After defeating him, Tlaloc flees through a portal.
With Jujus now freed and being able to return the rest of the Pupununu people back to normal, The Nicktoons decide to make The Four Nations their next stop in order to stop Zuko.
They arrive at The Southern Air Temple, where they run into Sokka, Momo and Appa.
Sokka reveals that Zuko's crew has kidnapped Katara and the three of them have trying to chase them down.
And with the knowledge of The Syndicate wanting to obtain earthbending to power their Doomsday Machine, our heroes decide to head to both Omashu and The Earth Kingdom Village to save the earthbenders there, namely Bumi and Haru.
Along the way, they find themselves fighting Syndicate-Bots that resemble Eastern dragons and Fire Nation soldiers.
And you would expect, Sokka serves as our ally for this world.
He fights with swings from his club and throws from his boomerang.
Along the way, they also fight against Zhao in Omashu.
He attacks with fiery blasts, fire circles and fire fists.
Unfortunately, the heroes end up too late both times as Zuko's crew manage to take all the earthbenders away.
But not all hope is lost, as while in The Earth Kingdom Village, they received a mysterious note revealing that Katara, Bumi, Haru and the rest of the earthbenders have been taken to The Fire Temple on Crescent Island.
(We would later find out that this note was sent by Iroh)
And so, our heroes head there to free the captives.
After freeing Katara and the earthbenders and destroying the generators, The Nicktoons finally confront Zuko.
Zuko fights with blazing rings, fire fists, fire knives, fire blades, fire streams, fire lashes, and fire walls.
After defeating him, Zuko flees through portal.
With Katara and the earthbenders now free, The Nicktoons head to The Bikini Bottom next to take on Plankton.
Upon arriving at Conch Street, they find the place completely deserted.
And soon enough, they find themselves surrounded by Syndicate-Bots resembling octopuses, eels and barracuda.
Luckily, Sandy comes to help them out.
Sandy fights with punches, kicks, karate chops and lasso grapples & throws.
After going through The Bikini Streets and rendezvousing at The Krusty Krab, Sandy reveals that Plankton has imprisoned the people of The Bikini Bottom, kidnapped Mr. Krabs and has been using jellyfish capturing harvesters to extract their electrical stinging power.
Luckily, she's been trying to take down the harvesters alongside a small resistance she's built.
Soon enough, she sends our heroes to Jellyfish Fields to destroy the harvesters and meet up with the two agents she sent.
Those agents being Patrick and Squidward (who was forced to accompany Patrick).
Unfortunately, the duo end up getting sucked up by one of the harvesters.
Aftering destroying the harvesters and going through Kelp Forest, our heroes find themselves in The Ship Graveyard, where they encounter The Flying Dutchman, who plans on making them his crew for all eternity.
Luckily, Danny persuades him to let them go in exchange for bringing back his old crewmates, which he accepts.
After retrieving all his crewmates, The Flying Dutchman let's our heroes go.
A short while later, they arrive at The Chum Bucket, where they free Patrick, Squidward and the jellyfish, and destroy the generators harnessing the jellyfishes' sting.
And soon enough, they confront Plankton on the roof on his restaurant.
Plankton attacks with a giant robotic crab, which performs swings with its claws, ground slams, and shoots powerful streams of water.
After defeating Plankton, he flees through a portal.
And so, after freeing Mr. Krabs, The Nicktoons head to Dimmsdale to stop Crocker.
Upon arriving there, they find out that Dimmsdale Elementary has been torn down and replaced with a golden fortress built by Crocker.
Soon enough, our heroes find themselves making their way through Crocker's Fortress in order to shut down the power, all while dealing Syndicate Bots resembling elves, pixies and Anti-Fairies.
Along the way, they also free some of the residents of Dimmsdale, who were enslaved by Crocker.
These include the likes of Mr and Mrs. Turner, Chester and AJ, and Trixie Tang.
After doing all that, the heroes finally decided to head to Fairy World to free the fairies and destroyed the generators harnessing their magic.
Along the way, they receive an ally in the form of Jorgen von Strangle.
He attacks with punches, kicks, ground slams and swings from his massive wand.
After that's all done, our heroes finally confront Crocker at The Big Wand.
Crocker attacks with a flying exosuit, which performs punches, flying charges, and magical energy blasts.
After defeating Crocker, he flees through a portal.
A short while later, The Nicktoons finally return back to Retroville.
Jimmy deduces that they need to go the base of The Syndicate and stop them once and for all.
Only problem: they have no clue where it is.
Also, they run into Cindy, who reveals that The Syndicate have also taken over Retroville.
However, their prayers would be answered when Jimmy discovers the Goddard has flea-bots on him, which he deduces that Calamitous had them placed on Goddard in order to spy on Jimmy, hench how he was able to know about the Universal Portal Machine.
And so, our heroes shrink themselves on got onto Goddard and find the main flea-bot.
After battling through swarms of flea-bots, they find the main flea-bot, defeat it, and uses it circuitry to locate Calamitous' lair.
Soon, our heroes make their way through the lair (fighting off all the Syndicate Bots they did before) and finally confront The Syndicate, who proceeded to activate the Doomsday Machine.
Their boss fight has the group constantly switch between member and shooting at The Nicktoons.
Each of the villains' respective dome have some kind of special projectile.
Calamitous shoots electricity, Plankton shoots water, Crocker shoots magical energy stars, Vlad shoots ecto-energy, Vexus shoots energy blasts, Tlaloc shoots dark magic, and Zuko shoots fire.
Luckily, the heroes manage to take down each of the domes' generators, taking down the domes and allowing them to defeat The Syndicate.
A short while later, The Nicktoons have turned Calamitous into the authorities and have trapped each of their respective villains.
Plankton's stuck in a pickle jar.
Crocker's trapped in a Hypercube.
Vlad's been stuffed into the Fenton Thermos.
Vexus has been deactivated and turned into pieces.
Tlaloc's been turned back into a sheep again.
And Zuko's been frozen solid.
And so, our heroes bid each other farewell and return to their respective worlds.
But not before Jimmy gives each of them a Neutronic Recaller, in case something like this happens again.

Well that was Nicktoons Unite: Rewritten!
I really had fun making this one.
Expanding the story and adding more characters and worlds to explore.
You can't tell me this doesn't sound this would be the coolest thing to check out in 2005!
Anyway, let me know what you guys think about it.
And if you could, and me some ideas for the sequels.
Note: Also, I really hope that @nicktoonsunite sees this! I would really like their feedback on this.
