Hey Brittle, with the 2024 Summer Olympic Games just only 3 months away, I got a story idea. The Y/N Olympics, Y/N Cookie's loves sports that he decides to create the Y/N Olympic Games. A multi-event sports competition where cookies of all rarities ( including Legendaries ) can compete their hearts out and win medals ( to some, Y/N's affection )🏅 in a variety of land and aquatic, single, and team sport events. The same will also go for the Winter Olympics. The medals will be handed out by Y/N Cookie themselves during the award ceremonies. They will also host both the opening and closing ceremonies.

Welcome back, CookieRunners. I’m Brittle and the Summer Olympics are nearly at our doors, so what better way to acknowledge it then to center an event around the occasion.

In this update, Y/N Cookie notices that a number of cookies around them have quite the talent in their hobbies and professions. So what better way to see who’s the best in what category then to host the first annual Cookie Olympics, where cookies far and wide, mundane to legendary will compete to see who is the best and win medals.

The turnout is big with a number of competitors entering the games, some for the glory and medals, while others have a more lowkey reason of wanting to impress Y/N with their feats of strength. Events can be arranged from solo to team matches and land or water challenges, so that everyone has a chance to prove themselves. Who will try their best and claim the gold for these games? Find out by playing the event mode.

Along with this update are the costumes that a number of cookies will receive.

There’s Y/N Cookie’s Epic costume, the Olympic Announcer. You can’t have an entertaining event without setting the mood and hype, and what better way then to be an enthusiastic announcer!

Next is Choco Bar Cookie’s Super Epic costume, the Trailblazer of the Track. Being a stunt double has already trained her dough to the limit, running the track is a cakewalk for this cookie!

And now we have Skating Queen Cookie’s Rare costume, the Ballerina of the Ice. Nobody knows how to work their skating shoes more then Skating Queen Cookie, and she aims to prove it to everyone that she IS queen.

Lastly, we have an Epic costume of Muscle Cookie’s Champion of the Ring. All of that protein and working out has paid off as Muscle Cookie becomes an unstoppable force to be reckoned with in the boxing ring!

The Rock, Paper, Scissors event is making a comeback with this update, because even the little things are considering for the games!

A heap of new Trials are also coming to a select number of older cookies who are currently lacking one that are long overdue for one.

For the mid-update, a new wave of competitors will be entering the games including the likes of Cream Soda and Cherry Cola Cookie, the games are heating up as the competition grows!

Elves and winter headcanons

Winters at Himring are long and cold. Winter temperatures generally range -8 degrees Celsius/18 degrees Fahrenheit to -25 Celsius/-15 Fahrenheit (including windchill)

Temperatures drop to the extent that access to water can become a concern. Wells that are fed from groundwater can freeze and the rivers and lakes become even more dangerous to venture upon. Water is sometimes sourced from snow which is boiled to distill it. (More on water here at Himring here)

Heated stones, primarily obsidian and certain types of sandstone are heated and wrapped in cloth as a treatment for lasting pain. The relief is fairly short lived but especially for the duration of the treatment can be incredibly soothing. Maedhros himself has benefited from this as have the many residents of Himring with lasting effects of injuries from battle, or, in some cases, torture. Changes in weather can exacerbate chronic pain and other conditions including mobility, mood, and other functions.

The soldiers of Himring often sleep in extremely close quarters during the winter for warmth, especially when firewood is scarce. Scouts and spies limit their fires when away from the citadel to limit the possibility of being seen.

Much food is preserved for cold winters and for the soldiers and scouts who rotate out and need food that can last. Methods of food preservation are learned from the dwarves who aided in the construction of Himring as well as through trial and error (These are still Noldor and take pride in experimenting and exploring). Himring utilizes more of these methods than many other elven realms. Salted meat, stocks and broths that can be quickly heated over a fire, root vegetables, dried fruit from the summer, usually orchard fruit like apples that can grow in colder climates.

Warm clothing and materials come from wool imported from Thargelion, and from reindeer, ermine and rabbit native to the March. Feathers from snow and tundra geese are also used for insulation.

There is a ghost story told by the scouts of Himring of elves who simply walk away into the winter wilderness and are never seen again. These elves were said to appear in a trance like state or to appear as though something has caught their attention. These stories are often implicitly associated with former thralls, who are often thought of or depicted as ghosts, transient, or otherwise eerie. There is very little light on the winter solstice and the days that surround it. The atmosphere of Himring is wary and alert, almost frantic at times

Not really in the mood for writing a prompt so I’m just gonna ramble about how cool Weiss is in TSF AU

I basically made her the closest thing to a witch I could without stepping into magic territory. It always bugged me how her semblance and Dust was so compatible but it was never tested to its limits, so I imagine Weiss learned to basically be a pro in the field of dust manipulation. Has a real intuitive sense for it, which is why her kids are so good for their age. A lot of it stems from always getting unarmed in battle.

She learns that she can grab a dust cartridge and put a glyph at the end of it to pull it out and construct things like a saber of pure Dust. Eventually she gets creative enough to throw vials and catch them with glyphs to trigger timed explosions.

In crystal form, Weiss gets the hang of making glyphs and simply pushing the crystal into it to create a flame thrower affect. The most reckless and dangerous trick is using the refined powder state. Even with gloves on, the margin for error when throwing or outlining a pattern with it is small cause a chain reaction could lead the effect back to her hands.

Dust for water isn’t actually a thing, but through countless trail and error, Weiss knows how combine fire and ice Dust to create the desire effects. She even helped researcher and companies create vials with ratios already mixed so other huntsman and individuals could have access to the element.

Is the one who helped teach her brother how to use their semblance. Also started the idea along with Ruby to plan “hunting trips” where Weiss or any of her relatives would go off to kill a powerful a Grimm to add to their summon abilities.

Weiss has in fact killed a dragon. Took her an entire month and she did it for free. She learned create magma during this time and gained a fondness for more practical uses of rock Dust. Eventually she learned to make constructs out of most materials. Even lightning.

Is the manger and agent for both of her children when it comes to their professional lives. Most collaborative works don’t make it past her before she even thinks about bringing them up to her kids.

Regularly considered Penny’s science partner in the study of Dust and its utility. One of them is also pitching ideas to the other and showing rough blueprint ideas. Their most popular hit and meaningful success is modern dust weaving into clothes. Suddenly, winters in Mantle weren’t as harsh and Weiss’s daughter could live an easier life with her condition.

Helped fund Oscar’s therapy practice. Was also his first patient. Some might conflict of interest. Those people don’t know Oscar “I’m not gonna sugarcoat it” Pine. Was a super big help in her darker moments after adjusting to parenthood and old family trauma.

Occasionally surprises her friends and family with appearing in a modeling catalog or runway. It helped her gain some confidence back after having twins. She also likes to make a point that Jaune’s wife is incredibly hot so there’s no point in random women thinking he’s going anywhere, and to make any guy that looked down on him feel shame. Jaune matches the energy by also looking gorgeous when the opportunity arises.

Weiss also makes no effort to hide any scars. That includes wearing a half shirt or bikini that shows where Cinder stabs her or the two scars on her face. That way her daughter and even her brother, feel more comfortable about their scars.

If you ask her what her biggest sacrifice is, it’s making sure she never matches hairstyle or clothes with her daughter. Weiss kinda misses the ponytail but Summer will look at her a little funny despite them not being the same kind. Eventually Summer will stop caring and rationalize they look alike regardless of anything they do. They’re both just two pretty ladies other people get jealous of. She doesn’t have this attitude with Winter!!!

The top of everyone’s emergency contact list. Also the only adult aside from Ruby that every child (except her own daughter) feels immensely comfortable with emotionally. Even Yang’s kid is pretty soft around Weiss. Practically karma for how much Weiss’s son adored Yang when he was little.

Here is all my magic systems I’ve made.

They’re listed from favorite to least favorite. The last one definitely needs some work, and is a little problematic currently. Haven’t touched it for a bit. But included it for wholeness sake.

Haemocraft: Blood Sorcery,

Magic User: Blood Sorcerer, Sorcerer

Concept: Blood is used as a fuel source to power the bolstering and alteration of living organic matter. Can change DNA, gene expression, and structure. Even passing scientific limits to a degree.

Limitations: The amount of blood as well as heat and pain capacity are hard limits to use. Works better the closer in genetics the flesh is to the user’s blood. Can’t truly break biology, only stretch it. Takes a lot of meditation and medical knowledge to pull off to any degree beyond basics.

Cost: Fresh blood from the vain is spilt from a cut and burns away. Can lead to anemia symptoms. Also may cause pain and burns, especially with overuse.

Subtypes:

Immolation: Rapid burning of blood to bolster physical ability and/or senses to superhuman levels.

Skinshifting: Altering of gene expression to temporarily change the physical body of the user. Such as mimicking other people or turning into animals.

Calligraphy. Complex “spellcraft” using Blood Runes(nucleotides). Basically genetic engineering. Can be used for trans reasons.

Weaving: Sculpting of flesh, harming or mending it. Good for surgery and murder. Also includes trans surgeries.

Witchcraft: Old Magic, Fae Magic

Magic User: Witch, Curseling

Concept: Accessing the Wode(madness), to alter reality with sympathetic magic (evocations). Innate magic of elemental manipulation and sometimes Legacies(inherited fae curses, turned magic).

Limitations: Magic must be done through the elemental aspect, and draws power from it, as it’s the aspect of reality they are metaphysically attuned to. Also negated by iron, and undone by fae weaknesses and wards. Usually pretty weak and subtle in most cases, besides elemental manipulation.

Cost: Requires blood like Haemocraft, but doesn’t burn. Drains mental energy, overuse can cause psychological harm and the growth of the witchmark(physical representation of the degradation of the mortal soul due to the fae soul shard within them). Overuse will eventually turn a user into a Feylost, an unstable and mad fae creature ruled by their legacies and elemental aspect.

Subtypes:

Human Aspects: Physical aspects of reality’s makeup. Fire, water, earth, air, light, and dark.

Elven Aspects: Temporal aspects of reality’s cycle. Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring, Dawn, and Dusk.

Orcish Aspects: Emotional aspects of reality’s experience. Joy, Terror, Sorrow, Wrath, Love, and Hate.

Bane Origin: Magic inherited though blood of murder. Witch killed a fae, or someone along a chain of murder killed a fae. Magic is generally powerful but unstable. Prone to Feyloss.

Bairn Origin: Magic inherited through blood of birth. Witch has a fae ancestor. Most stable magic, highest potential.

Boon Origin: Magic inherited through blood of promise. Witch made a promise with fae, or someone along a chain of promise keepers. Least powerful, but most specialized.

Winnowing

Magic User: Winnower, Blight Child

Concept: Manipulation of unreality myst, as body has adapted to the Blight caused by the myst, to then warp reality. A single innate winnowing, along various more subtle expressions of their subtype.

Limitations: can’t be used outside of the myst. Highly resisted by man made or altered materials.

Cost: Overuse causes aggravation of Blight symptoms, including paralysis, psychosis, loss of senses, moods of memetic presence, and eventually erasure from reality. As the body becomes unstable and less “real”. Uses myst as the power source as well as medium, so needed.

Subtypes:

Memetic(Wink): Abilities that affect the minds of others (or sometimes inanimate information). Telepathy, mind control, gift of tongues, technopathy, and phuanapathy.

Kinetic(Polter): Abilities that affect physical matter and forces. Telekinesis, pyrokinesis, electrokinesis, kinetic absorption, golden touch, and sound manipulation.

Esper(Glint): Abilities that allow for senses of things beyond normal means. Future sight, enhanced hearing, psychometry, thermal perception, and ghost sight.

Shifter(Pollywog): Abilities that allow for the changing of physical form. Animal forms, face masquerading, monstrous form, shrinking, and sex shifting.

Noding:

Magic User: Runner, Superhuman, Node, Nyxie

Concept: Nanites in bloodstream of those chosen by the sapient city districts. This black blood gives them enhanced physical abilities, senses, healing, and one of two other power systems. Glass or steel.

Limitations: They need the associated element to use their powers beyond physical enhancement. Nanites may also break down over time without connection to the city grid.

Cost: Nanites run out of power eventually, and the users must consume more than normal to sustain themselves.

Subtypes:

Steelstrider: powers related to the generation of electromagnetic force and energy. Can manipulate ferromagnetic metals.

- Termite: skilled at the power to physically move and shape metal.

- Moth: skilled at the generation, control, and absorption of electricity and light.

- Gnat: skilled at levitating and moving about with the repulsive force acting on surrounding metal.

Glasswalker: power related to the use of a sub space accessed through glass. Can phase through glass.

- Sparrow: skilled at navigation sub space to make ranged and precise jumps.

- Crow: skilled at storing objects on sub space and retreating them from the reflections of set panes, or their own reflection (aka pocket).

- Falcon: skilled at looking through glass sub space at range. Using it as a tool of observation.

Charming: Little Magick

Magic User: Enchanter, Inheritor

Concept: Some people have inherited minor magicks from the long gone fae of their world, these little magicks, or “charms” are all that is left of magic. These charms ware tied to a noun, to which they take from and power.

Limitations: Weak, almost non-existent, and usually unconscious in their use. They draw form their noun as a source of power. Flora need the given plant, fauna the animal, Monsterum an associated fear, Stella the celestial body, and Persona a given type of person. Powers relate to both the physical properties of the noun, and it’s cultural connotations.

Cost: Not much cost, besides energy.

Subtypes:

Flora: Phytopathy to a given type of plant, and a power associated with the plant. Rose(love sensing), Poppy(sleep induction), Belladonna(poison kiss)

Fauna: Phaunpathy to a given type of animal, and a power associated with the animal. Hawk(vision), Frog(jumping), octopus(camouflage skin)

Monstrum: Power associated with the given monster. Vampire (draw power form blood), werewolf (partial shapeshift), pheonix (healing)

Stella: Elemental manipulation and power associated with a given celestial body or phenomenon. Sun(fire and sunlight control), moon(moonlight and water control), meteorite (metal control)

Persona: Skills, initiation, and talent associated with a given archetype. Killer(killing efficiency), sailor(sailing and survival at sea), queen(governance and leadership)

Oneirism: Dreamwalking, AONS Syndrome

Magic User: Oneroi, Dreamwalker,

Concept: People with a supernatural neurodivergence caused by the dream realm entering a cyclical overlap with the material world. These people, after a traumatic event, have merged with their “dream self”, able to travel between the realms and draw in the nature of their dream self. Dream selves are connected to one of four realms in the unconscious dreaming of humanity: Arcana(madness and mythology), Gloam(mystery and horror), Cyber(dreams for the future/change), and Under(dreams for the past/stagnation). Dream selves look like the individual, and influenced by how they see themselves and others see them, as the dreaming realms are reflections of the real world.

Limitations: Need to have the neurodivergence to have the magic. Can’t affect physical reality except in certain places of strong emotions and dreams due to early stages of reality merger.

Cost: Can cause extreme metal exhaustion and eat away at sanity over time. Also use brings the realms together faster over time. Including possibly letting things from the dreaming into our world.

Subtypes:

Cyber: Trauma of loss. Dream self resembles a sci-fi archetype. Such as Androids, aliens, or superheroes.

Changeling: Trauma of mental illness. Dream self resembles a fae creature. Such as fae, werewolves, or giants.

Cryptid: Trauma of horror and existentialism. Dream self resembles a creature of urban legend. Such as Bigfoot, eldritch creature, or black eyed child.

Chthonic: Trauma of death. Dream self resembles an undead creature. Such as a ghost, zombie, or vampire.

Farmer Spa - [Mack x David]

The request: Very pregnant Mack and David are on the farm and her bump hinders her ability to do some things. Like trim/shave down there, I imagine she'd usually get waxed every now and then but limited options out there. She's frustrated and feels she needs a lil clean up so asks David to help. At first he makes a few jokes and makes it very known that she doesn't need to clean up down there, especially not for him, encouraging her to embrace the growth and that he is starting to feel what she must when they kiss ☠️. Mack's not quite in the mood for jokes though and lectures him about how her grooming is a self care thing and goddammit she needs his help. He does so and gets a reward afterwards 😉

Mackenzie Hischier lays flat on her back in the middle of the bed, spread eagle, naked with her feet resting against the headboard of her and David’s bed. She attempts to gather up the energy for her second shower of the day. Being pregnant in the unrelenting July, Iowa heat has proved to be too much for any type of deodorant she can find at Hy-Vee. She has this distinct unease of smelling awful anytime someone gets near her, including her husband. David insists he doesn’t smell anything, but that isn’t encouraging coming from someone who deals with farm animals and sweaty hockey players all day. He’s likely nose blind to everything after breathing in manure his whole life.

Dragging her big toe across the indents of the plush, cream headboard, Mack huffs out a sigh. Her whole body has a sense of wet, including the forest between her legs that she cannot reach no matter what awkward angles she bends her body in. This tangle of a situation is what makes her feel so unkept these days. She is used to regularly scheduled bikini waxes. Yes, that requires a certain length of hair, but nothing like what she is currently rocking. When she thinks of giving birth in such disarray, she is embarrassed and uncomfortable. However, she has no waxer worthy of seeing her bare crotch within 50 miles of this place. Last summer, it was fine because she could reach. Now, it’s not fine. 

“Babe?” She hears David call from the hallway. It must already be lunch time, which means Mack has been laying here for over an hour. 

“I’m in here.” She lazily responds. David creeks the door open, getting an eyeful of her naked tits.

“Good gravy, baby. How long have you been like this?” He asks, shutting the door and sneaking in like he’s getting away with something. It is lunch. Mack is sure Felix and the boys are expecting him back relatively quickly. They have a lot to get done this week. “And why didn’t you tell me?” He pouts above her. His large hands settle over her breasts, holding them in place gently. They have been sore this week, so he is careful not to squeeze or pinch anything without her clear approval. 

“I’ve been trying to take a shower for an hour.”

“A shower?” He asks, tilting his head down. “We took one this morning.”

“I know. But I’m already stinky.”

“All I smell is your shampoo, baby.” He assures her. He is used to this by now. Mack sighs. “Oh boy.” David murmurs sympathetically. He leans down to smooch her lips. Mack barely puckers hers in response. “Hey, love on me.” He quietly asks. 

“I’m not feeling like any of this right now.” She swirls her hand around the room. She moves to get up. David steps back from the bed, releasing her breasts so they fall back into melting mounds. She keeps her back to him, crossing her arms over her chest. 

“Honey, what can I do?”

“Nothing.”

“Nah, you have been feeling like this for days. What can I do? I need some way I can support you.”

Silence stretches between them. Mack stares down at her hot pink toes, the ones her husband painted for her last weekend while they were having a lazy day on the front porch, during a stretch of cooler weather. He does things for her. Maybe he would… 

“Will you shave me?” Mack blurts. 

“Sure, where?” Mack instantly blushes at his agreement. Ope, she didn’t expect him to be so gung-ho immediately.

“Um…” She trails off. “Like.. my um.” David raises an eyebrow at her stammering.

“The place my tongue was earlier?”

“God, David, yes.” She grumbles. He cannot help but laugh at her.

“You’ve got no problem shoving my face deeper into your pussy, but you’re worried about me shaving it?”

“I! Don’t!.. Um. Well that is different.” She huffs.

“Why?” He sits next to her, dragging his finger tips across her bump. They continue down her back, sliding onto her hip to pull her into his body. 

“It’s like too intimate.”

“We made a baby together and are married and fuck each other often, so I think it’s okay we have some intimacy.” Mack just stares at him. “What? Unless this is some test and I’m supposed to say you don’t need to shave? Because you know I do not care at all about what you’re sporting down here, baby. I’m gonna eat it. Fur and all.” He quips at the end making Mack want to quite literally die on that bed of embarrassment. Maybe she shouldn’t be, but pregnancy has made her confidence slip a bit and she’s much more self-conscious than she can every remember being. “Just think of if like your equivalent of a mustache.” He throws in as a joke. 

“You don’t get it.” Mack snips at him, pushing out of his arms. She scoots across to the other side of the bed, achingly rising to her feet. David watches silently as she heads into their adjoining bathroom. It isn’t long before he joins her.

“We aren’t up for jokes?”

“No.” 

“Okay, my bad. I didn’t read the room right.”

“It’s not you, it’s me.” She sighs, putting her hair up in a claw clip so she can keep it out of the water spray. David is patient, keeping his hands to himself as she speaks, impressive considering how much her breasts bounce as she moves about. He does bite the corner of his bottom lip for a moment, looking concentrated as his eyes meet hers in the mirror. “I don’t feel like myself at all right now.” She shakes her head, feeling her throat swell with a lump. Stupid hormones! She does not want to cry! “And, I just hate how it looks down there. Like it’s bad enough you see it, but soon so many strangers will too! That makes me want to like.. give birth here and never come back. How am I gonna face the nurses and doctors at the grocery store, knowing what they have seen?”

“Baby, they have seen worse.” He laughs. “I guarantee it. You are hygienic and clean.” She stares at him. “But if this is what you want my help with. I will help you.” Her eyes slide away, bottom lip stuck between her two rows of teeth while deciding. 

“How would we do it?” 

“A lot like making this baby.” He jokes, shaking her belly slightly. Mack start to laugh and David joins in. “Go lay back on the bed. I’ll take care of the rest.” He leans down to kiss her, then pats her naked butt to encourage her back to bed.

It’s a few minutes before he comes into the bedroom. He has a towel, unscented shaving cream, a razor and an electric trimmer. He glides the towel under Mack’s hips, then kisses her raised knees before heading out of the bedroom towards the kitchen. He comes back with a bowl of warm water and Mack’s cold eye mask. 

“Welcome to the Farmer Spa. Please rate us 5 stars on Yelp when your visit is finished. 10% off for you next time.” He drawls in a quiet and serene voice. Mack snorts, laughing so hard her belly tenses and the baby begins to flail around inside of her. She puts a steadying hand on her bump, then watches as David disappears between her legs. 

“Do you provide a happy ending here?” She murmurs. David starts to laugh so hard he wheezes. He buries his nose into her calf for a second, then gently works it over his shoulder so he can get in closer to the apex of her thighs. 

First up in the trimmer. He carefully combs through, taking down the forest as much as he can to see what he is doing with the razor. He pulls back enough to look at his work, then nods, reaching for something else Mack can’t see.

“Cold.” He warns her after squirting some shaving cream on his fingers. He carefully and meticulously covers the most intimate parts of her.

Mack works her head to the side so she can watch him in the mirror above their dresser. It’s quite the look, David with his head buried between her thighs. She’s seen it before from this angle, but this is so different. She smiles at her reflection, knowing exactly how lucky she is to have this man as her husband and soon-to-be daddy to their son. David turns to the water, shaking off the hair and shaving cream into it. His eyes lift. He meets her gaze and smiles softly. 

“Thank you.” She says to their reflection.

“Nothing I wouldn’t do for ya, honey.”

In a few short weeks, he will show Mack how sincerely and eternally he means those words.

how to get out of a funk✧.*

hey guys! so its been a longgg time since I posted because im just getting out of a little funk and decided to make a post on some things I did to get out of it! I know especially the summer time can be really difficult for people (me included) so I wanted to take the time out to share things that helped me. Hope it can help some of you all too!

get moving/workout

whether its a little walk or a whole routine at the gym keeping it moving gives you an energy boost as well as naturally bringing up your happy hormones. it could even be as simple as doing a quick stretch!

take a shower

sounds simple right? as simple as it is it sounds it really does make a difference on your overall mood. and if u want to take it a step further make it an everything shower!

read a book

when was the last time you read a book? and be honest! instead of being on my phone all the time which really drains our energy more than we think, pick up a book! the act of reading alone will make you feel better about yourself because its counted in a way as being productive. take it a step further and read a motivational book!

shutting your phone off

this one can be superrrr hard. even for me personally i have trouble with this. but ultimately when i do take breaks and put it down i feel sooo much better about myself. like i mentioned before being on our phones so much can really put us into a bad state mentally. Can’t stop altogether? Try just limiting down the time u spend on it, till you don’t feel the need to be on it all the time anymore. It may be hard but this one act alone will improve how you feel soooo much and out of all of these this one I highly recommend.

open a window

this is one of the simplest things you can do to make yourself feel better. opening a window to let in light AND fresh air is so much more good for your body then you think it is. For me the fresh air always brings me back to life. If you want to take it a step further go outside and take a walk!

life's mission of luke is to make kailey happy and laugh at all times

intimate touching instead of kissing in public, always having to hold hands or have a hand on a thigh, of their lower back. especially if they go out at night, luke makes sure they are glued to each other at all times

the most competitive board gamers (monoply- absolute feral and scene it harry potter- she will kill whoever- including luke to win. so will luke.)

kailey got luke into harry potter and made him read the books early on in their relationship

actually, she got him onto reading in general. will read anything now.

luke demands one broadway show a month from kailey, meaning they put on the cast album and she belts out the songs with him.

luke absolutely adores kaileys mom, helen. will constantly ask about her and shamelessly asks for home cooked meals from her.

kailey adores it and whenever he gets homesick, she brings him over to her mom's or invites her to hang out and he's grateful for the relationship

luke does not meet alex until July when she invites him out to Washington dc for a visit

one of their favorite dates is to go to painting or paint pottery

they also like to go to watch movies, because she is a movie fanatic and it's something simple to do

her first game that she goes to is the last home game before christmas break, with a win over detroit

nicknames for kailey: pretty girl, calls her by her middle name 'kai', my romashka - meaning my cammie or chamomile, and my lioness

nicknames for luke: pookie, lukey, my love, darling, and Mashunechka (an generic intimate nickname)

huge fans of ice cream and ice cream dates

when summer comes around, kailey visits michigan as much as she can between working her nannying job and working at the local bookstore in georgtown.

once her dad finds out about him, kailey and him go to cape cod

around their 6 month mark, kailey see's something on social media and quickly feels like luke might be cheating on her based on the limited space between the two. she even calls her dad about it, but does not mention specifics.

their song is: say yes to heaven, by lana del ray

just like how people belt out to taylor swift and are obsessed with her? that's them with olivia rodrigo and tate mcrae. no hesitation.

when kailey's in a particular mood or stressed with school, luke will come over to her apartment or she will come to his and jacks and they will have a star wars marathon.

as a fashion major, she feels entitled to update his fashion. as well as jacks, because they both need it.

she researches curly hair routines, and the both of them continuously try new things to find out the perfect routine, for him.

she teaches him russian, dubbed "little lion lessons". she teaches him the basics and simple greetings and conversation words. he surprises her though about six months in when she is having a harder time with her mental health, and gives her a whole ass talk in russian and like she thought that she knew he was the one she wanted to marry. but she REALLY knew he was the one.

luke learns enough russian to have a basic conversation with kailey and alex. alex is pretty stunned to say the least. he goes, "you mean he didn't flunk out of highschool?" in old slavic to which luke didnt understand.

uncle geno is the BIGGEST fan of the two

she tells him before she tells her dad

when pittsburgh visits new jersey, he invites her out to dinner along with luke.

in summer of 2024, she joins the cast of hadestown at the off broadway theater for a limited time run as eurydice, for the month of august. luke comes to her first week of shows before heading to michigan to get some things settled, before pulling quinn, jack and his parents for the finale on the 29th. after a two-day staycation, her and luke head back up to nyc and jersey for the year.

cape cod is their place - they get a offseason house in 2028.

luke and kailey ended up going 4 times during their first summer being together

they have a very important talk one morning over coffee and croissants and just know that that is where they are meant to visit at least once an offseason.

some angsty thoughts:

once she graduates in 2026, she has a hard time figuring out what she wants to do. her dream is to open a boutique clothing store in manhattan somewhere or on the cape or georgetown, but doesn't know short term.

ends up going to Washington for about two months, and it just so happened to be when alex was moving from Washington to new york to get back together with kaileys mom once he retires at the age of 41, a year after kailey graduates, he and her mom decide to give things a go again after some really good years the past few.

but she's in Washington while he is back in michigan, and even though luke is trying his hardest to give her the space she needs and craves, its difficult. he is moody af and at times does NOT train.

kailey calls sent a text over in july, stating she needed a break for a bit and that she would reconnect with him once the season begins.

luke has such a shit show of a summer after that + the beginning of season.

kailey spends july through September in the hamptoms with her parents, after alex helping fulfill her mom's dream. summer in the hamptons. (for longer than a week)

luke gets hella jealous because andrei visits for a week in august before heading back to carolinas. he hates how close the two are now that they are on a break.

OH and he also does not like her bestie chris, and thinks he still is in love with her but we'll get a blurb for that at some point hehe

when kailey returns to nyc with her parents she does not expect to see luke in the city.

he always used to say he hated the city when he was not with her

that the reason he loved the city with her, was because she gave it life and energy. he loved seeing it through her eyes.

she was very shocked to see him and he was stunned too. he didn't expect to see her the first time he headed into the city.

but nico being the swiss princess that he is, has to come up and greet her when she goes to dinner with her parents at Soho house

and then the rest of the group comes up, and alex is NOT happy

he doesn't care for any of them, she whispers in russian "be nice dad."

but he see's luke and relaxes a bit.

he really likes luke and began to feel like maybe they could be the real deal before their break.

but anywho

alex talks some sense into his daughter (calls her a dummy) and literally drops her off at the train station to head down to jersey to talk to him. (will get blurb at some point!)

and she does

and yknow, they get back together and what not.

and ofcourse, not without luke promising that he's gonna marry her one day. even though they had talked about it many times, and their future together- she knew it to be soon.

Hello angels 💗🎀 I’ve been struggling with my sleep schedule lately so I’m writing this to remind and help anyone who is in the same dilemma as me~

Sleep is critical for a healthy mind and body, so prioritise your sleep before anything else for a balanced lifestyle !!

Below is information from a Harvard blog:

According to the National Sleep Foundation, high school students (ages 14-17) need about eight to 10 hours of sleep each night. For young adults (ages 18 to 25), the range is need between seven and nine hours. However most don’t follow this expectation and therefore experience many negative consequences.

Signs of chronic sleep deprivation include:

🎀Daytime sleepiness and fatigue

🎀Irritability and short temper

🎀Mood changes

🎀Trouble coping with stress

🎀Difficulty focusing, concentrating, and remembering

🎀Brain fog

🎀Weight gain and obesity

🎀Cardiovascular disease

🎀Type 2 diabetes.

Students who prioritize sleep are better able to cope with the stress that comes with being an active student.

“It’s a vicious circle where the more stressed you get, the less you sleep, and the less you sleep, the more stressed you get. And in the long term, that can lead to serious psychiatric problems,” says Dr. Edward Pace-Schott, Harvard Summer School and Harvard Medical School faculty member and sleep expert.

In the worst case scenario, the combination of lack of sleep and stress can lead to mental health disorders such as depression, general anxiety disorder, and potentially even post-traumatic stress disorder.

Tips for getting more sleep as a student

The key to getting a good night’s sleep is establishing healthy sleep habits, also known as sleep hygiene.

The first step is deciding to make sleep a priority.

Staying ahead of coursework and avoiding distractions and procrastination while you study is key to avoiding the need for late night study sessions. And prioritizing sleep may mean leaving a party early or choosing your social engagements carefully.

Yet the reward—feeling awake and alert the next morning—will reinforce that positive choice.

The next step is establishing healthy bedtime and daytime patterns to promote good quality sleep.

Pace-Schott offers the following tips on steps you can take to create healthy sleep hygiene:

🎀Limit caffeine in close proximity to bed time. College students should also avoid alcohol intake, which disrupts quality sleep.

🎀Avoid electronic screens (phone, laptop, tablet, desktop) within an hour of bedtime.

🎀Engage in daily physical exercise, but avoid intense exercise within two hours of bedtime.

How To Build A Realistic Magic System

Whether you’re a five year old watching Disney movies or an adult reading fantasy books, everyone loves magic. It is the heart of fantasy and the favourite trope of many authors. A good magic system should be both visually appealing and work to enhance the mood of a story. But it can be hard to make your own realistic world of magic with so many different types of magic at our disposal. 

Unsure how to build a realistic magic system? Here are six things you should consider when creating your magic world! 

1. Establish A Type Of Magic 

Authors and other creators have spent centuries establishing hundreds of different types of magic. There’s folklore, witches, magical creatures, demons, mythology and so much more. It’s good to create your unique brand of magic when world building, but there are basic facts you need to establish before you jump into your book. 

For example, in my WIP The Traitor’s Throne magic only exists in the realm of mages, however, it can be used or stored in every living being from that realm (including trees). The reason it doesn’t exist in the other realms (or the human realm, to be specific) is that there is literally magic in the air of this realm, something that the human realm lacks.  

Your readers don’t have to know all of this background information, but it’s important for you to have a clear image of your magic system before you jump into your book. 

 Here are some questions you should ask yourself when establishing your type of magic: 

How do your characters get their magic (genetics, draw it from others, etc.)? 

What does your magic look like? Can people see it? If not, why? 

Do spells, curses, and charms exist? What about potions? 

Can magic be stored in manmade objects? Why or why not? 

Is your magic akin to a witch’s or a mage’s? 

Does your magic fade with time? 

Does your magic exist in animals? What about plants?

2. Create Limitations 

Nothing can exist without laws. Not even magic. 

Limitations exist to make your writing seem more realistic, but they also help you create adequate boundaries and rules for your book. This can look like a set of laws followed by a society of wizards or a rule book humans need to follow when they summon and use demon magic. 

Aladdin couldn’t ask the Genie to kill people or make someone fall in love with him, Harry Potter couldn’t create limitless food for him to eat during the summers, and Percy Jackson couldn’t control the water in a human’s body. 

Tell us the dos and don’ts of your world. Establish boundaries. Create a fantasy world that feels like it could be real and maybe even exist alongside our world. 

If you are a fantasy author writing a book about a character who accesses magic through another being (a human summoning a demon, etc.) then consider creating some limitations for the summons. Maybe the human can only summon the demon once every week, maybe they can’t ask the demon to interfere with another person’s death (bring someone back to life or kill someone).

3. The History Of Your Magic

Everything starts somewhere. Humanity didn’t exist during the big bang theory, fire didn’t exist until humans were made. Everything has a past, so what’s your magic’s history? 

Did it always exist in the society your character lives in? Did someone just wake up one day with newfound powers? When was your magic founded? How do your characters know how to use magic? What timeline are they in? What does their fashion, architecture or mode of travel look like? 

These might not seem like important questions right now, but you could find yourself wasting precious writing time in the future mulling over how your characters get light during the nighttime. (Lanterns? Candles? Magic balls of light?)

Do you need to create a list of all the monarchs who ruled over your world throughout the past five hundred years? Of course not! But would it be helpful to know who the first monarch was and why they possessed the power and influence needed to govern your world? Yes! 

Creating a concrete history can also help you when writing dialogue for your book. Make corny history jokes or comparisons, have your character’s mother dramatically talk about how her child is like a recluse from the dark ages. 

4. How Does Your Magic Affect Your World 

One of the most important things to establish when creating a magic system is how it affects your world. Do mythical creatures exist because of the magic? What about another world? Or another species? 

You need to create a concrete setting for your book to take place in, and establish how the living beings of your world are affected by this setting. Do the trees have black trunks in your world of demons? Do pixies exist in your world of elves? 

Creating a fantasy world is only the first step, you also need to establish how this world affects the species and characters in your world. 

5. Don’t Forget The Humans! 

One of the reasons books like Harry Potter and Percy Jackson got so popular is because they gave us an excuse to believe magic was real. Maybe magic really exists but we’re just muggles who can’t see Hogwarts. Maybe the Greek gods were real all along but we can’t interact with them because we aren’t demigods. 

Give your readers that childlike sense of hope that makes them believe in magic. Make them think they might be able to meet your characters one day, if only they discovered a door to your magic school or stumbled upon a demigod in action. 

This can be easy for fantasy authors writing about a human who accidentally ends up in a fantasy world, but if you’re an author writing about non-human characters (like me) then here are some ways you can establish the presence of humans in your book: 

Humans exist, but they live in another realm/world or don’t know how to access your character’s world (the gate to the underworld in PJO). 

Humans can access your world, but the area your character lives in is surrounded by a natural body (an ocean, a forest, etc.) that humans always get lost in. Or maybe they forget their memories when they travel in it. 

Humans don’t exist, but they did centuries ago. Your character’s species had a big war against humans and they killed them all. (Or maybe they just thought they did).

6. Sanderson’s Laws For Magic 

Still unclear on how to establish a proper magic system? Consider looking into Sanderson’s Laws for Magic. 

If you’re a fantasy author you’ve probably already stumbled upon some variation of his laws during your worldbuilding research, but I would advise looking at Sanderson’s blog and reading his original rundown of what the laws are all about. 

In their simplest forms, Sanderson’s laws of magic are: 

Law One: An author’s ability to solve conflict with magic is DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL to how well the reader understands said magic. 

Law Two: Limitations > Powers. 

Law Three: Expand what you already have before you add something new.

15. favorite weather for writing

My favorite weather to write is often wed to whatever I think is interesting about the weather happening around me in actual life. It’s most fun to write about firefly weather when there are fireflies around—that first summer heat that breaks them open and lets them loose. All the different kinds of snow and ice and how they change the ways you go about your life outside. That particular kind of dusky weather where it’s still hot—the grounds still hot and emanating it; the grass is still sweating—but there’s cold pockets in the shadows and blowing in from places where the sun’s already gone down. The fact that this does not happen in humid places, but the way something similar does after a summer storm and the temperature finally breaks. I like including whatever fun thing is happening outside, which can be a problem when you are writing someone with, say, ice powers, because then I think, oh go fuck yourself, the RealFeel is 108 and it is so wet in here mold is actively growing on the DOORS. ICE DOES NOT EXIST

gestural—or maybe elusive? In that whatever I’m writing is probably talking around whatever it’s about rather than talking about the thing that it is about.

textural—which is a word I’ve received from others in two completely different contexts, actually. I suspect that in the context of fanfic, this is an effect of being someone who gets very excited thinking about things like what weight of paper the SC is printed on.

limited—not in a derogatory sense, though that was my first inclination when thinking about words. But in the “limited perspective” sense, because being deep in the sauce of a character’s POV is my favorite thing about fan fiction, because I like seeing not only what they’re thinking about or feeling, or even how they’re thinking about it or feeling it, but how they think and how they feel, at the level of mechanics.

That's pretty much it??? I know I have to work on my Masterlist and organize it but for now it's very WIP. I also expect that there's a Gehenna Event coming up because we got the new boi Amy showin' up like he did. I mean that should be good since a lot of Satan stans have been missin' their man (Astra too, she's been in Niflheim and Tartaros a lot in my fic blurbs)

Am I really gonna go for Zagan's future L-card?

Yes. Unless it doesn't look like it would be worth it. I would hate it if my money were wasted on a subpar story and experience. I'm callin' it but I bet they'll do that evolve thing for him (maybe) unless they only do those for revivals?

I just want to say I'm very appreciative for all the interactions, follows, my moots, oomfs, and enjoying me enjoying this rollarcoaster of a damn horni demon game. We're nearly close to the anniversary of it's release and there's been a lot that's happened so far. I pretty much shit on fandoms a bunch because I haven't really uh...had a good experience majority of the time, but it's been alright here. I may be speaking too soon because there's always something ain't it? Lol But at any rate, ya'll are lovely, creative, and I'm glad to be included.

For the ask meme: 13. Stay home/go-out? What are their date nights like? 😊

This is an excellent question.

One of their secrets to keeping romance alive is every Friday night is date night. Typically they go out to a restaurant and have lots of sex, but once a month or so it’s a date night in. Overall, what they do really depends on the season and Patroclus’ work schedule. To compensate they will go away for a long weekend.

Date Night In

They’re eating takeout. It will depend on the mood. Sometimes sushi, sometimes samosas, sometimes Korean BBQ, sometimes pizza, etc. There are usually candles lit and some music on. Achilles is a wine snob, so there will be wine. (they usually have to take a sex break during the meal -depending on how spicy the food is). If Pat’s not too tired from work, there will also be some slow dancing (this is especially true if Achilles is in one of his Pyrrha moods).

Then it’s cuddling up on the couch for a movie. Depending on how interesting the movie is, they’ll either have couch sex or fall asleep. If Pat gets home at a decent time, they may also play a sexy game involves some form of foreplay or stripping.

Winter

They like to go ice skating and get hot chocolate. They will take long weekends to go to the mountains to ski/snowboard. They always go on a winter holiday.

Spring

Splurging on high-end restaurants. Go to a museum or gallery. Walk in the park. Cook a fancy dinner together.

Summer

They take long weekends to go to the beach/lake house. They don’t care for fishing and are not really into boating. But they are into kayaking and whitewater rafting! Weekends would probably include hiking or horseback riding and a picnic.

Go for a walk/cycle. Walk down to the waterfront to enjoy the sunset while sitting and holding hands. Otherwise date nights are all about ice cream! Usually they do some cycling to get to the place. Achilles will always try a crazy flavor. Pat will warn him that he won’t like it and oops now Achilles thinks it’s a challenge. Pat’s always right in the end. Achilles will end up eating Pat’s classic and sensible flavors while Pat ends up with the weird ice cream that makes his teeth hurt.

Fall

Walks in the park and apple cider. Attend a (European) football game.

Long weekends for a cabin/lake house where they do typical Fall couple stuff involving apple picking, carving pumpkins, and corn mazes.

College-age they’re going to bars and clubs most Fridays. Though after a certain drink limit Achilles gets extremely handsy and they usually get kicked out for indecency.

Oh, and if you were wondering about more silly activities like paint night, bowling, mini golf, karaoke etc. those are activities Achilles does with his girl friends and they’re usually very drunk.

'5 Seconds of Summer have proven why support acts shouldn't be overlooked'

'5 Seconds of Summer may have had a helping hand from One Direction but almost eight years since their last tour with the group, the Aussie lads have proven they're more than enough, writes Daniel Bird...'

'Arguably one of the biggest bands right now, it's no surprise that 5 Seconds of Summer are continuing to sell out arenas.

Having seen the four Aussies at the start of their career, playing in venues with a capacity of 300 with tickets being sold for less than £15, to now seeing them at stadiums and sold-out arenas, they've come a long way. Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin first joined forces in 2011, uploading videos to YouTube and amassing a string of fans.

One of those happened to be Louis Tomlinson from One Direction, who invited the quartet to support them on their 2013 Take Me Home Tour. They went on to support the 1D lads for another two years on the Where We Are and On The Road Again tours, performing to millions of fans across the globe.

But while they were warming the crowd up, the group were also busy with their own music, with early releases including Out Of My Limit and arguably their best track, Heartache on the Big Screen, they soon went on to establish their own name, 5SOS (five sauce). With this new-found fame came their own fans, in their thousands.

Tickets for their headline shows would sell out within minutes as fans packed venues to hear their favourite songs live. But in 12 years, they've proven that support acts shouldn't be overlooked. Many of us go to gigs, often missing the support act or not taking anything away from them but these lads were different.

Was it their humour? Their childish energy at times? Their on-stage banter with one another? That's something we won't know but their recent show at Manchester's AO Arena on the The 5 Seconds of Summer Show was certainly one of their best. Opening the show with Bad Omens, certainly set the mood for the night as Luke, Calum, Michael and Ashton delved through their back catalogue and delivered an electric set.

Part of the show included audience participation, with a giant red dice being launched into the audience by Hemmings, allowing the crowd to choose the next song, with Voodoo Doll being chosen, much to the excitement of the 21,000 roaring fans. This opened a gateway for the lads to discuss their past, with Ashton recalling staying at a hotel over the road from the arena while supporting One Direction.

"About ten people knew who we were at the time, now look," he exclaimed while reflecting on their meteoric rise to success as he recalled performing at smaller venues before the band managed to sell out the biggest indoor arena in Europe. But while reflecting, the group looked towards the future as they stated their plans for the next few months are pretty empty.

This, however, is for good reason as lead guitarist Michael is set to welcome his first child with his wife, Chrystal Leigh Clifford. Joking about his future, he laughed while saying he will be going from playing in front of thousands of fans to having a "house covered in poop" before Luke interjected, adding he will be able to teach Clifford's daughter how to wear make-up.

Anecdotes aside, the group certainly showcased their performance skills and failed to stand still for the cheering crowd as they made their presence in the arena known. Having seen the lads perform countless times, this was certainly their best performance to date.'

Weather is the state of the atmosphere at a specific point in time and on a specific area of the earth's surface. Weather includes parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, precipitation, cloud cover, visibility, and wind speed. Weather patterns continue to change in short periods, spanning periods ranging from a few hours to several days. Climate and weather are closely related to each other. Weather is a short-term manifestation of climate. Climate determines the general patterns of weather that occur over time. For example, a region with a dry climate will have partly cloudy and sunny days for most of the year, while a region with a humid climate will have a significant amount of rainy days. What's my point? Well, remember that the weather conditions in the Castle Town depend on the mood of the Lord Devil living in this very town. Considering that the weather is a short-term manifestation of the climate, it turns out that the climate, like the weather, is controlled, and therefore cannot be changed by "natural causes", such as ocean current, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, etc. It can also be assumed that this place has a humid climate, more like the climate of "eternally foggy London" than the humid climate of the jungle, for example, due to increased cloud cover and a more forested landscape (well, and due the Devil's perpetually sad mood, of course). Based on this, I assume that the climate of Iceberg Isle and the place from Oji-summer, as well as Castle Town, are controlled, since someone is able to influence the weather phenomena in these areas, and the weather, in turn, affects the formation there "fixed" climate. Whether this "controller" is the same Lord Devil or someone else is not clear, since the locations I mentioned were nevertheless created by the same previously mentioned Devil, but at the same time, his direct impact on the weather was limited to the Castle Town, the place where he lives, which suggests that he couldn't influence the weather in other places he created.

Probably not only Samekichi wouldn't like the cheese, but all the other sea creatures as well, I guess… (6 v 6)

So, Idate's method of eating meat, even among orcas, is not something normal, or is it just that Takama considers such a method "vulgar"? And yes, both orca brothers seem to like sweet things, but Takama doesn't like things that are too sweet, like he does with salty things, and his younger brother doesn't have the same qualifications about it, but he likes spicy things.

I see. =)

Well, some of the characters from the WaTGBS (like Meikai and Aounabara) can serve as proof of this, so I won't comment too much on this information.
