the demonstrable love of public transit and humanist urbanism that internet people have, and the hunger for a psychologically nutritious, mutualistic, unalienated life has all got me thinking

them cozy game / lifesims that everyone uses for escapism? animal cross? stardew? one of them would absolutely FUCK in an urbanist solarpunky setting

imagine riding trams and trolleys and Ls and undergrounds across a wondrous city. imagine ‘hirebikes’ but they’re totally free to use actually. imagine voluntary work at places that bring meaning to your life. imagine free adult education for the hell of it. imagine allotmentkeeping, and beekeeping. imagine getting to have a stable roof over your head with no landlord, that you can make yours and move on from without losing security. imagine getting to breathe the clean air of ecological regeneration. imagine working, yes, working, for the betterment of your community and humanity, not to merely get paid. imagine having a lazy morning, every morning. imagine having a stake in everything around you, so your labours mean something. imagine having a little kitty cat. imagine having plenty of NPCs that you can make friendships with and recruit to your amateur softball team. imagine having trees everywhere that are impossibly deciduous and seem to go through the entire spectrum every year. imagine stocking the local pantry and cooking for your friends. imagine dusting the solar panels on the roof every now and then

cozy escapism? it’s all right there. would sell like hotcakes if u ask me
