i will be on a small hiatus, because this morning i had an accident at home with my cat apollo, who became too nervous and ended up attacking me, and now i need to find him a new home, and cant move my right arm.

i never thought i'd be making a post like this, but unfortunately, early this morning around 4 a.m., someone crashed their car through the window of our apartment living room. we're all okay (my sister @nucrests, our cat, and i), but the damage is quite severe, and our living situation is not ideal at the moment. while insurance covers damage to our furniture, the temporary fixes to the wall/window are unsafe.

we're in a stable financial position, but if anyone is willing to help us find a new living arrangement, i'll provide more details below (along with photos of the incident).

I know there are Xwitter holdouts in the Sims community because it's still a primary communication platform for The Sims... or perhaps because some folks are too vain to abandon a platform where they can boast a high public follower count or "famous" mutuals... ew 🙄

How can we help shift our community away from supporting a literal Nazi with every passive link click or mindless scroll?

Can we... ban Xwitter links on all our Discord servers? call in people who post X links like we have (tried) with CF? share screenshots instead of X links when the next "leak" comes out?

How can we push The Sims team to shift their communications strategy to other, less harmful platforms? (cough, Bluesky)

This feels incredibly urgent to me as an American but it should feel urgent to you too, regardless of where you live! Just look at Elon's recent backing of the right wing extremist AfD party in Germany. The man has enough money to buy any government he wants, let's not let him have our eyeballs for free.

Yes, I have played this full game besides CAS for long long long, it's just that today I have no time for doing so and I find no joy in playing a family, because > I < would rather do it in sims 3, where > I < have the most fun (I didn't say it was a sin for > YOU < to have fun in game on the sims 4);

Yes, I can criticize EA while I pirate my game, because if their game was something WORTH PAYING, maybe I would be paying for it :D ;

If you actually took time to read my posts, you would notice that none of them are screenshots of the "complaints and suggestions" section of EA website and are, actually, directed to the community. Because I know the power of us against them;

No, I don't expect EA to care about me, the "special little ray of sunshine", despite pirating their game. I expect them to care about the ridiculous amount of people who are playing their game. Yet they haven't done it in at least a decade. And yet you're here, defending them in my inbox with huge texts;

And, for the most ridiculous of the takes I've seen here, no, I am not doing this to seek "approval of the community". If you scroll down the ts4cc tag you will find at least 300 creators who are completely silent and exist on tumblr only and exclusively to post cc and then vanish into nothingness when something serious happens. They have many more notes than me and don't get stupid asks on their inboxes. I don't think it would be worth it if my goal was to be popular, I got you here anyway. Yelling at me because I sided with black people to ask for 1 (one) world only.
