Harry is a dangerous sociopath and it is terrifying.

[This is long, sorry]

I think it’s time we start seriously considering the fact that Harry is a sociopath, and a dangerous one at that. To be honest, he disturbs me quite a lot, more so than his wife. The aura both of them have are drastically different. When I look at Meghan, I feel that she’s a mean girl. When I look at Harry, there’s something darker and more sinister.

I’m going to go over some symptoms of ASPD (aka, sociopathy) and we can discuss it.

1) A Hunger for Power & Dominance

I don’t know if any of you have got this vibe from Harry, but to me, he seems extremely upset he was not born first. Every time he speaks about how the Royal institution should go away or how bad it is, I get a sense he’s not telling the full truth. It’s missing a “because.” That being: “because I can’t be King.” If this were medieval times, he would’ve murdered his brother for the throne. He is also easily threatened, especially when he see’s himself in competition with children. The way he looks at the Wales kids… terrifying.

2) Devious or Deceptive Tendencies

It is my belief that Harry either played an equal role to Meghan in their “spectacle,” or possibly even bigger than we think. I think he is a highly manipulative individual and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. I also have an odd suspicion that his complete neglect of preparing Meghan for royal life is due to something devious, but I’m not certain. I find it interesting how he frames William and Catherine to be bad people based on uncomfortable situations he had complete control over. It just seems weird, right? He had an opportunity to let Meghan know what that first meeting would be like, and instead he sabotaged it (she ruined it, too, but he’s a senior royal who could’ve said something.) Also – we know Harry lies. A lot. About everything.

3) Ruthlessness in the Pursuit of Their Goals

Harry has proven this time and time again. He attempted to blackmail his family, so they’d pay for his security. That’s absolutely ruthless, right? It seems like his goal has been to take down William, to prove that Harry is the “better son.” He has been aiming at his brother for quite some time and has said some outlandish things to try and get people to hate William.

4) Hostile or Aggressive Towards Others

As we can see, he’s pretty hostile towards his family. Perhaps if he actually had a horrible life, this wouldn’t matter. It’s the fact that he was content on being a parasite for years, and yet the entire time was seething with hatred and anger for those who gave him a free life. Also, he was an infamous bully in school, and there is footage of him becoming violent with paparazzi. He is not a nice person.

5) Easily Angered or Irritated

I used to think Harry was some type of sloth or something. He just seemed to float around, never wanting to be there. I had no idea how sensitive he actually was since he plays the big, strong military man character. This all changed when Spare came out. This “man” becomes furious at even the slightest little thing. He starts freaking out if paparazzi spot him coming out of a club, even though he’s there with multiple other famous people. He still holds a furious grudge over breakfast sausage. I have no idea how it’s possible to be married to this guy. Imagine an argument with him. Sends shivers down my spine.

6) Irresponsible Decision Making

Hey, let’s speed through the same tunnel my mother fatally crashed in. Let’s leave the Royal Family without a plan. Let’s release a book that will absolutely ruin any chance I had at redemption. Let’s marry this overly excitable egotistical low-level actress. Let’s name our daughter Lilibet, people will love that! I’m going to destroy my relationships with my family! Wait, they don’t want to give me money?! They don’t want to talk to me?! Harry smash! (hulk noises)

7) Superficial Charm & Powers of Persuasion

I hate to admit but Harry does have charisma. It’s natural to develop it from his upbringing. The reason we all used to think Harry was the lovable, mischievous Prince was not because we were told to think that – but because he was. He was very charming and funny. Harry has this certain way of speaking that makes you attentive, which is a bad thing for him because now we’re all paying attention to the spoiled and selfish bs that he’s saying. I’m not sure on his powers of persuasion as my mind is drawing a blank, but I know there’s an example of it.

8) Broken Moral Compass or Limited Conscious

Obviously, he does not care who he hurts as displayed by his smear campaign against his family. His moral compass is obviously corrupted as he thinks a foreign country should be responsible to pay millions for his security. Anyone with a shred of morality would think, “I moved here out of my own free will, therefore I am responsible for all that it entails.” He bragged about the people he killed in Afghanistan because he thought it would make him look like a badass. That’s sick.

9) Few Close Bonds or Relationships

This one applies to Harry now. Seems he has nobody left. A lot of you may think, “he had a lot of friends before he met Meghan, though.” That is true; but what is also true is that he had unstable friendships his entire life, and most long-term ones were falling out before he met her. Another thing to understand is it’s easy to have a lot of “friends” when you’re young, immature, and in the party scene. These people aren’t your “real” friends. If they are, then you must grow with them. A lot of his friends had grown older and matured, looking to settle down. Meanwhile, Harry is stuck in a perpetual teenager mindset. You won’t keep many friends being this way.

10) Manipulative Tendencies

I’ve given several examples of this, but he has some manipulative tendencies that I can see straight through. Harry has learned that all he has to do to garner sympathy and forgiveness is say, “Mum died.” It has worked for a long time. He’s not doing this because he actually cares, it’s to evoke a certain reaction – aka, manipulation. He always has to remind you that his mother, Princess Diana, was a saint sent from Heaven who tragically died when he was young. Not only that, but he also uses her name as an excuse for his actions. “My Mum would be proud of us. She’d love Meghan.” This manipulation tactic works sometimes because she cannot speak for herself, and Diana has a reputation for being “against the RF” even though she seemed to be very good at what she did. He’s putting words in a dead woman’s mouth to justify his actions.

11) Entitlement and Impunity

We all know this one is obvious. The guy thinks he deserves everything in the world for winning the “genetic” lottery (or should I say “family” lottery?). He feels entitled to be King because he seriously thinks he’d do a better job at it. He feels entitled to privileges even William and Catherine didn’t have. He literally wanted the RF to wage a war against the press, and then freaked out when “someone” (cough, William) said something super reasonable: “My girlfriend was treated badly, too. Why should you get special treatment?” According to Harry, the answer was simply: “because I am special.” His impunity reeks when he constantly complains about the duties of his job, because why should he have to do it? He's special. If he treated the military anything like he treated being a Royal, then no wonder it didn’t work out.

12) Social Deviance

He cheats on every girlfriend he has and dressed up as Hitler surrounded by Klansmen for Halloween. He hires prostitutes. I don’t know what more to say.

13) Feeling No Guilt

Harry takes zero accountability for anything he’s ever done. He manipulates, and guilt trips if he’s done something wrong. Or he turns it around on the other person. For instance, the Nazi costume. He has absolutely zero remorse for it and literally, somehow, blamed William and Catherine for it because they “laughed.” To me, it seems like they thought he was telling a dark joke and laughed at the ridiculousness of wearing a costume like that. He turns this around as if it’s THEIR fault for giving him permission of some sorts?! He does not care who he hurts and doubles down on it as well. He’s had numerous opportunities to take accountability and apologize, but instead he further escalated.

14) Failure to Fulfill Responsibilities

I personally think Harry is capable of a lot more than he’s done. I don’t think he failed his military tests because he’s stupid – I think he failed them because he’s lazy, didn’t study, and thought being a Prince would entitle him to be able to bend the rules. He complained about having to “endure” Royal Duties even though it provided him a life of luxury that most people cannot even imagine. He’s an absent parent and lives life solely for himself, and him only.

15) Aggression Towards People/Animals

I’ve heard rumors that Harry has beaten prostitutes up in Vegas. I’m not sure if that’s true but given he meets 100% of the criteria needed to be diagnosed as a sociopath – it would make logical sense for him to follow that pattern. I also do not believe his recollection surrounding his and William’s fight. He acts as if he was begging for mercy and William hit him like a maniac. From what I know about Prince William – yeah, right. (eyeroll) From what I know about Harry – he swung first, and William defended himself. Harry is obviously threatened by his older brother and thought he could fight him to prove something. When he lost, he turns into the victim, acting like big bad William is psychotic. We also have seen Meghan’s dog with two broken front legs. This cannot be officially confirmed that Harry did something, but we do have confirmation that Harry abuses horses. He kicks them so hard with the spurs that he essentially stabs them. I have never seen anything like that before. There is something deeply and psychologically wrong with him.

16) Enjoys Hurting People & Causing Discomfort

I talked about this slightly in #2. While we seemingly won’t ever have official confirmation that Harry enjoys negativity (especially if he caused it – gives him a false sense of power), you can see it by reading his body language and analyzing his words. When Harry is recollecting on stories where his family was supposedly being “mean for no reason” towards them, he has a smirk on his face and a glint in his eye. Go back and watch him telling the story of Meghan’s first meeting of William and Catherine. He’s smirking. This smirk is also known as duper’s delight because he feels this negative picture he’s painting of his family is working. You absolutely cannot convince me he didn’t know this was an inappropriate way to introduce your girlfriend to the future King and Queen. He’s smirking as he describes William and Catherine’s discomfort towards Meghan’s behavior – because he absolutely loved it. He had every opportunity in the world to say something and he didn’t. He let her act like a fool and relished in it.

Watching him at the coronation was actually super triggering for me as I have been abused by a sociopath. The way he stared at William… I’ve seen that before. His eyes were black, and you could feel the hatred emanating off of him. His eyes were wide open as well, as if he was trying to use Superman’s laser against William. This stare cannot be accurately classified as a simple aggressive glare. I know this stare. It says, “If we were alone, I would kill you.” He was hoping William would catch a glance and see this. This stare is purposefully done to make the recipient very uncomfortable or even afraid.

I know this man is dangerous. I can feel it. He had to beg to be deployed because he so badly wanted to fight in a war. That is not normal; and then his bragging about the people he killed is even more twisted. He is a highly abusive and predatory individual. He has no shame or guilt for what he’s done. He will never stop trying to destroy his target.

He will not stop bringing up Chelsy Davy in court. The subliminal message that he is sending to her is obvious to people who have experience with this abuse. He states she left him because she couldn’t handle the press. She was with him for 7 years, right? So, obviously she handled the press quite well throughout those 7 years. The truth is: Harry doesn’t love Chelsy Davy. He most likely never did. He is still angry and bitter that she left him. How dare she?! It doesn’t matter that he cheated and deserved it – she left him.

This is a huge blow to the ego for him. He has to be the one to want to break up, he cannot be broken up with because that implies he’s not perfect. This is why Cressida isn’t treated the same; it was mutual. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he harassed Chelsy for a long time after she left because he’s still doing it to this day. The subliminal message is: “you will never escape me. You will forever be associated with me. I will tell them that you didn’t love me enough – you were too weak – to deal with this life. It will always be your fault, not mine.”

I don’t like Meghan Markle at all, but I am not soulless. I am very worried for her if she is the one who decides to leave. I feel he has a power over her that we cannot understand and he’s the one calling the shots. People blame Meghan for “Spare,” which I think she definitely had a part in it, but his ghost writer has straight up basically admitted that Harry verbally/emotionally abused him during the process.

When people have nothing left to lose, that is when it becomes most dangerous. This is a special situation for him as it’s his first marriage, they have children together, and he destroyed his ties to the royal family for her. If she leaves and takes the kids, what does he have? Nothing. He has no family to run back to, no friends, no allies, no job. Remember that coronation stare.

A lot of you may hate me for claiming to be worried about Meghan, but I don’t care. Like I said, I cannot stand her, and she’s definitely played her part. I’m not entirely sure what Harry is capable of, but she doesn’t deserve violence or endless stalking/harassment. I seriously am sick to my stomach thinking about how much danger she is in, and I wonder if she even knows it. I hope that if she leaves, she plays it intelligently.

BYF: I am not pro-self diagnosis. I believe it should only be done if there is absolutely no access to psychological support, or if an on-paper diagnosis could be potentially dangerous, and with loads of research.

I do not believe in narc abuse. A disorder cannot hurt you unless you are the one with the disorder. Blame the person instead of generalising a group of people based on a diagnosis.

I am anti endo, tulpa, radqueer, and transID. They are all extraordinarily harmful to the disabled community as a whole. They do not deserve a safe space of any kind. And as for tulpas, they are just straight up racist and cultural appropriators.

I am NOT anti paraphilia or proship. I understand that these are often coping mechanisms for childhood trauma. I however will never support pro or neutral contact paraphiles. Anti-contact is the only acceptable kind of paraphile on this blog. I also believe that proshippers are generally okay as long as they intend on finding a better coping mechanism.

Hello, coming back to update this since I made this side and thus wrote this while high. Conleth is based on a slightly younger me; we both have ASPD. All of the above is true, absolutely, but it feels like I should say a “don’t treat people with it like this by default” type of thing. I came here specifically to try and type that kind of message but I don’t know the right words. Hopefully you get the idea. I don’t need any more markers on my back just for those four fucking letters. Hate Conleth for the way he acts, not just the diagnosis.

Also do say if you don’t want Conleth interacting with you! That’s absolutely fine!

You can get Conleth to not be a jerk. If something starts getting Conleth to act not with pure malice or snark, keep going. It’ll come back eventually but you might have a nice chat in the meantime.

General background on Conleth is convicted as a minor, released at 18 doing a probation programme that will provide a mandatory service pokemon and probation officer — Jane! — aiming to rehabilitate and deter reoffence.

You're so right about all of this tbh. And like everyone in the notes of my original post has their own stories and additions and my heart aches for all of us because what happened to having fun? Fandom is supposed to be fun, and enjoyable, and not a chore. It shouldn't feel like an obligation to keep up with canon if canon is starting to make you tired to the point that the stress of keeping up on it is affecting your health (have some friends with this issue).

Also you're absolutely right about people just picking and choosing what parts of canon to include when they're talking about canon. I feel like everyone in this fandom would benefit from psychology lessons, considering this show is heavily based on realistic interaction which is naturally steeped in psychology. Just because Lunar wasn't physically abused (which the show did address) doesn't mean he wasn't abused? Neglect is a form of abuse. Constantly belittling someone and making them question their worth? That's emotional abuse. The original Eclipse was just as bad as old Moon when it came to reinforcing people's bad self-esteem, not to mention then the backup of Eclipse went and fucking exploded him?

Like?

Obviously, that doesn't excuse Lunar killing V3/4, especially because everyone in canon knew that wasn't the same Eclipse but I don't understand why people pick and choose what parts of canon are relevant when they talk about canon. That just makes it frustrating to talk to people about canon too! So now you have the fandom sucking ass and deciding that it's illegal to enjoy content out of TSAMS or that you can't make DCA AUs inspired by TSAMS and you have people in canon that are projecting onto canon and picking and choosing what parts they think are relevant.

And like this has been a recurring theme. People have complained about "aroace erasure" by New Moon not knowing if he's aroace or not, completely disregarding the fact that Old Moon didn't know where he fell on the spectrum either, just that he was on the spectrum. Or people will just casually forget that Monty was a fucking creep toward Earth and quite literally manipulated her into dating him at the beginning of their relationship. Or the fact that Sun isn't suicidal, and is allowed to grow as a person. It makes discussing canon a nightmare. Not to mention the god-awful ableism about ASPD, which is just a pain to deal with when I fucking have ASPD and people are telling me I don't know what I'm talking about.

And you're so right. People should be allowed to ship what they want because it's all fiction. There are so many ships I don't personally enjoy that I just don't say anything about because I know that it's not affecting me? Or that I only enjoy in certain contexts (platonic) instead of romantic (like SolarMoon, Lumini, KidsCove, and the fucking Puppet/Foxy one that's apparently canon? But I don't like most canon ships being in a romantic context) and I don't have like ships either because it's my opinion and my opinion won't change the canon, nor will it alter if someone else ships it.

And if someone is going to let other people dictate their fandom experience they should join an HOA. That's just how I feel about it because you'd be just as miserable there too as you would be in a fandom space that you let other people tell you how to enjoy.

I also only have my small circle of people, namely my server. Which is just a general FNAF server first and foremost, even if it has a couple sections dedicated to TSAMS. Because TSAMS can be exhausting and it's nice to be able to mute the channels when one gets overwhelmed. And fandom is a great place to meet new people and make new friends, I met my girlfriend in TSAMS fandom, and we write fics together and make art together and it's really nice. But I'm also terrified of meeting more people in this fandom because even if I have 300 something readers on Ao3 and 300 something followers on here, I'm still so fucking worried about getting hate and harassment for "not staying in my lane". Which has happened on the actual TSBS server, where someone threatened to do a "call out" on me for talking about psychology in relation to the show and I had to get my friend, and one of the mods, Meg to come put them in line.

Yeah, this was real. I'm censoring their user because I don't like thinking about any drama that has me involved, and I don't want to start new drama, but it was honestly really jarring. This was on my thread, a thread that I started about six months ago, that has the mod team's approval for me to run, and that has been talking about psychology from the very first message. And sometimes people join that thread, not knowing that it talks about psychology, not knowing that I study psychology (now in my free time since I'm out of college funding at the moment), and that I have ASPD. And people make really fucking weird comments about ASPD in there from time to time because they don't know those three things.

Also, you can tell how just fed up the VAs are with this fandom, and that sucks because I know a lot of awesome people who just keep to themselves because of all the kids running around tossing out death threats, hate, gore, unsolicited porn, etc. Over a YouTube channel. Over fictional characters that, mind you, have no rights. Have no opinions, and do not exist. The way minors will scream about adults being pedophilic over staying in their lane and keeping adult content to adult spaces in insane. There's been so much fucking controversy, I'm constantly double guessing myself when I upload things. Fans have targeted the VAs, they've targetted the mods, they've targetted random people, my friends, thumbnail artists, and literally anything they can get a hold of. For what reason.

The show is not family-friendly, and I hate that they aren't allowed to make that disclaimer. The show deals with really heavy topics, like child abuse and neglect, child endangerment, improper use of firearms, severe injury, death, kidnapping, torture, sexual comedy, profane language, mental emotional and physical abuse, power imbalances, drug and alcohol use, etc. If they were to throw in incest they'd practically have Game of Thrones but for FNAF.

This is not a show for kids.

It's a show with a very large minor audience. But that doesn't mean that it's a show appropriate for minors. If I were to put a rating on TSAMS I'd rate it 16+. Maybe even 17+.

Also yeah, if the other TSBS shows are rip-offs then so is TSAMS, LAES, and MGAFS. Like treat them equally, all the VAs are extremely talented, so if one show is a rip-off all of them are. And if one show isn't a rip-off then none of them are. You don't get to pick and choose just because you don't watch the other shows.

I'm only in this fandom still because of the overwhelming support I've gotten from my friends, and the community that I built both on Ao3 and Tumblr, but also on my discord server. I could happily stop watching canon if it weren't for the fact that a lot of people now rely on me to be the voice of reason about a lot of the issues going on in canon universe. Because many of the fans in this fandom don't have any media literacy, and I've been annoying good at tearing apart the plot lines and the characters. I've had the opportunity to speak directly with the VA for Foxy about the show (with the VA in character, unfortunately, what I wouldn't give to pick their brain) and he's a great fucking guy with a good sense of humor. And a lot of people don't. . . like him? Because they don't like the characters he voices? and it's just so fucking dumb.

I love my friends. I love writing fanfics. I don't really give a fuck about the show or the fandom at this point. I'm just here to rot about ships and AUs, and to find people who also want to rot about (romantic and platonic) ships and AUs with me. I watch canon still, but only as a passing interest, the fandom has honestly ruined it for me and that makes me sad.

Every time I reblog something about the normal DCA I feel like I’m betraying the tsams fandom even though I literally started in the normal DCA fandom as a sun/moon shipper and still ship sun/moon as DCA. And what freaks me out is I told myself going in that I wasn’t going to let fandom harassment make me anxious or anything about continuing to just enjoy shipping DCA in general and not specific to any singular AU.

But once you know TSAMS it’s like there’s a target on your back about shipping things, because it might not align with what a few people in the fandom agree about. And stars forbid if you have your own designs and characters loosely inspired by TSAMS (because now that you watch TSAMS there’s always going to be some kind of connection) that have nothing to do with TSAMS and you ship your two OCs.

Or that you enjoy certain concepts in the show and want to take those and make your own AU that is nothing like the show but nods to it a little bit.

This fandom is horrible about making people feel nervous about being in the larger fandom of the DCA. I shouldn’t be worried about losing followers or facing harassment for acknowledging that TSAMS doesn’t define the entire DCA community. And now it feels like the only “safe” area outside of TSAMS is shipping yourself. And I’m aroace. I literally cannot do that my brain will revolt and I will feel gross.

Sometimes I really fucking regret getting super involved with this fandom, and the issue is that it feels like everyone outside of my circle knows me. Because of my thread on the server, because of this account, and because I’m friends with a lot of “large” creators.

This fandom really needs to fucking step back and look at themselves because I shouldn’t feel anxiety over enjoying content outside of TSAMS.

Hi all, welcome to ASPD-Culture. You can find the DSM-V TR's diagnostic criteria for ASPD at the bottom of this post.

Here's how it works! You can use asks or submissions (on or off anon, asks allow for anon while submissions don't for those who don't know), to submit things you either are struggling with as someone with ASPD, or that you think others with ASPD would find relatable. These can be serious, meme-y, or somewhere in-between. It's ok if it applies to other disorders too, as long as it relates to antisocial personality disorder/the symptoms and associated traits of ASPD.

Send as many ask you like, I am not afraid of a full inbox. Do not feel like you're bugging me; I thrive on the attention and validation of the inbox full of asks. 😈

I welcome questions, vents, confessions, and personal submissions as well as more general ones! I cannot accept anything that would cause anyone legal trouble to say anonymously or otherwise, and please no names unless they are fictional/celebrities; you can use the first letter if you want tho!

A quick shoutout - I was inspired by @cluster-b-culture-is because I love their content, but I found myself wishing there was one just for ASPD especially with the recent rise of acceptance for BPD but not the other cluster b's (to be clear tho, cluster-b-culture-is does not support stigma against any sort of elitism within the community, and is a great blog that you should follow if you like their content!).

Edit: Here is the diagnostic criteria for ASPD as of the most current DSM (DSM-V TR), quoted directly. Please note there are diagnostic features, development "criteria" (things that cause the disorder to develop), and presentation/associated features to think about as well. You cannot diagnose solely off of having 3/7 of the following criteria, but 3/7 is all you need in combination with meeting the other stuff to have ASPD. This should help steer away ableist additions that people constantly try to make to the criteria.

A quick shoutout - I was inspired by cluster-b-culture-is because I love their content, but I found myself wishing there was one just for ASPD especially with the recent rise of acceptance for BPD but not the other cluster b's (to be clear tho, cluster-b-culture-is does not support stigma against any sort of elitism within the community, and is a great blog that you should follow if you like their content!).

Criterion A.) A pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others, occuring since age 15 years as indicated by 3 (or more) of the following.

Subcriterion 1.) Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors, as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest.

Subcriterion 2.) Deceitulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure.

Subcriterion 3.) Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead.

Subcriterion 4.) Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights and assaults.

Hisoka's Psychological Analysis

I've gone through threads, different social media, forums, and all. Many have been fighting over to what extent are Hisoka's mental illnesses. In this post, I will try to identify Hisoka's psychological issues as much as possible, and will try my best to be as unbias as possible. I will let you know when I'll talk about my personal opinion or referring to my previous analysis.

First of all, we can agree that Hisoka has ASPD (sociopathy/psychopathy; I see him as a sociopath but also borderline psychopath - lost on which side I should lean on more tbh.....) as one of his conditions. ASPD can be defined as follows:

Antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) describes an ingrained pattern of behavior in which individuals consistently disregard and violate the rights of others around them. Individuals with antisocial personality disorder may behave violently, recklessly, or impulsively, often with little regard for the wants and needs of others.

According to the DSM-5, features of antisocial personality disorder may include:

Failure to conform to basic social norms, often in ways that violate the law

Repeated violation of the physical or emotional rights of others

Lack of stability in job and home life; may go through long periods of unemployment, for example, even in localities or situations where jobs are readily available

Irritability and aggression; may get into frequent fights

Lack of remorse after harming someone or their property

Consistent irresponsibility

Recklessness, impulsivity

Deceitfulness

It's obvious he has it since he feels no remorse or guilt when he kills (even if murder is a secondary option or something to him), his manipulative behaviour and so on. You get the gist. I don't think I need to list every hideous sh*t he has done. So, Hisoka has ASPD.

In addition, in my recent (meta) analysis of Hisoka (can be found here), I've also inferred that he may have superiority complex as well based on the 'role language' he's employing (and one assigned by Togashi himself).

A superiority complex is a behavior that suggests a person believes they’re somehow superior to others. People with this complex often have exaggerated opinions of themselves. They may believe their abilities and achievements surpass those of others. However, a superiority complex may actually be hiding low self-esteem or a sense of inferiority.

He sees himself as superior than others. The strongest. Yes, he exaggerates his hatsu a lot and abilities. I know he has defeated many using those but it's like he's too overconfident in it/overexaggerates it; like he doesn't realize that he can be defeated by his opponent. As for sense of inferiority, this is very much disputable; I came to this conclusion that he is hiding it in a mask just from my conjecture of speech patterns/role languages. I admit that it can be wrong.

I've also seen people say in forums that he is a narcissist. Frankly, I thought that at first before I analyze his character seriously. It's a condition that overlaps superiority complex. The reason why I don't see him as a narcissist is because it's not like he believes himself to be unique or special, wants to or believes he should associate himself with special or powerful people, or that he needs so much (like really excessive) of admiration. It's also because of the 'selfless' or 'normal' sides he has shown a few times in the series. In any case, he has either one of those two conditions, though personally, I'm leaning a lot more on superiority complex. (FYI, both conditions can go hand-in-hand with ASPD, as well).

In addition, his personality traits can also fall under Machiavellianism.

Machiavellianism in psychology refers to a personality trait that sees a person so focused on their own interests they will manipulate, deceive, and exploit others to achieve their goals.

Together with narcissism and psycopathy, they are called the 'Dark Triad' because they have several overlaps with each other.

I would say that he has ASPD, superiority complex, and Machiavellianism. Of course, this is disputable, and you may have different conclusions in this regard.

He is also a sadist as he gets a lot satisfaction from inflicting humiliation and pain on others (by having their aspirations, plan fail; defeating them, etc.)

According to Merriam-Webster, sadism is:

the derivation of sexual gratification from the infliction of physical pain or humiliation on another person

delight in cruelty

Google Dictionary also defines it as the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others.

Matches him, right? He loves the cruelty and loves it when the other person, particularly his opponent, is humiliated, in pain, and/or suffering.

But wait! He also likes it when he experiences pain or some sort. Remember when 'Chrollo' kicked him? (This happened in the manga) Remember his matches in Heaven's Arena arc? Yeah. We can say he is a masochist as well.

Google dictionary defines masochism as the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from one's own pain or humiliation.

Merrian-Webster defines it as:

the derivation of sexual gratification from being subjected to physical pain or humiliation by oneself or another person

pleasure in being abused or dominated : a taste for suffering

So he's both a masochist and sadist, based on the definitions of both terms. When a person is both of a sadist and masochist, they are a sadomasochist.

Merrian-Webster defines sadomasochism as the derivation of sexual gratification from the infliction of physical pain or humiliation either on another person or on oneself. On the other hand, google dictionary defines it as psychological tendency or sexual practice characterized by both sadism and masochism.

So far, we have come to the conclusions that Hisoka has the following conditions:

Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD)

Either Superiority Complex or Narcissism

Machiavellianism

Sadomasochism

We are halfway (or almost halfway?) to my psychological analysis of Hisoka. You may take a break at this point. Once you are ready, proceed to read the other half.

Let's talk about his sexual disorders now. We know he has sexual attraction with women (note: Machi; he asked her to spend the night with him (the way he asked about sleeping with him in manga and anime really was indirect, using 'meals or something else (better)' (食事でも) rather than just outright saying his intention idk why the manga english tl just tl'ed it with wanna stay the night with me or something like that; damn now I'm kinda tempted to make an analysis of their dynamic or something xD)

But of course, he derives sexual gratification in other ways.

As we all well know, Hisoka derives sexual gratification from fighting strong and worthy opponents, or the thought of fighting his 'toys'. A psychological condition for this is called 'Agonophilia.'

Agonophilia is the paraphilia involving sexual arousal derived from the act of fighting, or participating in or observing a combat sport, such as wrestling, boxing or kickboxing, martial arts, etc., or from viewing depictions thereof; from the Greek "agonos" (combat, struggle, conflict) and "philia" (love of).

Agonophilia often also involves the fetishizing of the equipment associated with combat sports (i.e. boxing gloves/trunks, safety gear, martial arts uniforms, etc.).

This is a very new term, so there is barely any info out there, but there are people who are agonophiles and are sharing their experience online. It's so new of a condition/word that it hasn't entered the academia world yet, so it is hard to find. But if it can be classified, it will technically be under paraphilia, which already has many categories of conditions.

A paraphilia is a condition in which a person's sexual arousal and gratification depend on fantasizing about and engaging in sexual behavior that is atypical and extreme. A paraphilia can revolve around a particular object or a particular behavior but is distinguished by a preoccupation with the object or behavior to the point of being dependent on that object or behavior for sexual gratification.

Hisoka in the series has shown many instances when he is turned on from watching someone fight (Gon, for instance, on his first fight in the arena), participating on a fight (when he fought Chrollo and he got kicked; Gon vs. Hisoka), and even the thought of his opponent with respect to fighting (may include their determination to fight them, or fighting spirit) and power (Him with Chrollo and Gon). Seeing or observing someone's Nen capabilities can also aroused him just like in Greed Island when he saw Killua's and Gon's Ren since Nen is something associated with combats in the world of Hunter x Hunter.

Agonophiliacs also have preferences depending on the person who has it. In Hisoka's case, his attraction is on how powerful one's nen is and/or their potential, either in nen power or in a fight. Age and gender don't matter to him at all, which can be problematic (we already know it is lmao). What matters is the fight or anything related to it. So we can say that it's pure agonophilia.

Also since he has been acting upon his agonophilia and has often harmed and/or put his opponents at harm or risk, and even has risked and put himself to harm, it's safe to say that his paraphilia has turned to a paraphilic disorder.

A Paraphilic Disorder is a paraphilia that causes distress or impairment within the individual and/or leads to personal harm or risk of harm to others (e.g., acting on the paraphilias with a non-consenting individual).

I think we can say that he has agonophilic disorder. The (ones he deemed worth it) fights - whether legit; or through observation, thoughts, or fantasy - still gives him the sexual gratification, but his fight with other has gone to the extent of personal harm and/or harming others. We've first seen this with his fight with Kastro (though the satisfaction wasn't as great as the ones with Chrollo or Gon). But his actions can be confused with ASPD and others that I mentioned in the first-half of this post, so we can either say that he has agonophilia or agonophiliac disorder. (I'm leaning more on the latter).

I think he may also have autassassinophilia

Autassassinophilia is a paraphilia in which an individual derives sexual pleasure and arousal by the thought and/or risk of being killed. The paraphilia may on occasion overlap with other paraphilias such as autoerotic asphyxiation (i.e., sexual suffocation) where there is a risk to their life. In some instances, the autassassinophile may also derive sexual pleasure and arousal from planning their own death.

I think this condition overlaps with his agonophilia or agonophilic disorder, or showing signs of it. At this point rn, I am dying and I have 0.001 braincell left from analyzing the sh*t out of this clown.

Lastly, I want to talk about this other issue that has been ongoing until now. The biggest debate happening in the forums, tumblr, post and all is whether Hisoka is truly p*dophile or not.

I would say no.

I've also seen that scene with Hisoka leering at Gon's and Killua's behind. My first thought about it was Hisoka wanted to make them feel uncomfortable and did that, without feeling bad or guilty about it that it was something considered pedophilic on the outside. Very typical of someone with ASPD. Doing things outside of norm and not feeling any guilt, remorse, or such about it. To him, all it mattered was that he made them uncomfortable, got his fun (yes his definition of fun is very disturbing), and dominated the situation. What I meant with dominate the situation was that they were heading to where Bisky, Killua and Gon were heading, but when he did that, Killua and Gon couldn't take the discomfort and made him walk to the front (have you also seen him stepping to the sidelines or agreeing to be on back and let others lead him without a reason to do so? Man doesn't want to be led). Eventually (after some moments of convo with Goreinu), they had to follow Hisoka's lead to City of Love, and bam mission accomplish on him having the control on the situation and them. He also got his fun as he got to play with them in his own way; remember this man is bored as hell, as well, at the moment ever since they found him at the lake. The scene made you think, 'Well yeah, he's definitely pedophile', but you have to remember this man is a sociopath/psychopath with other issues and conditions like Machiavellianism. He doesn't care how he accomplishes his aim or have his fun and satisfaction, even if it looks disgusting and pedophilic to others, as long as it is realized, it's all good to him.

In one scene, he did the clean version/censored version of the Japanese s*x sign with his hand to make Illumi emit bloodlust to let Killua know how near they were; him doing it makes him look pedophilic to many but in reality, it's him being a sociopath/psychopath he is. He wants Gon to be saved, so he had to ensure Killua gets far from Illumi without also being obvious that he ain't truly loyal to his agreement with Illumi.

Remember that psychopaths and sociopaths aren't always murdering or committing all those very serious crimes - they can also be those folks who are doing sh*t outside the norm and won't feel an ounce of emotion or feeling about it (e.g. not smiling and all of that when they hold them for the first time; Hisoka biting his severed arm without feeling embarassment or some sh*t at all about it).

SMH this is what happens when you have ASPD mixed with other psychological conditions/issues + bloodlust. We've seen this when he contemplated who to kill and which situation would benefit him the most during the moment when Illumi, Alluka, and Killua are together with the butlers. ASPD man w/ bloodlust and his agonophilia/agonophiliac disorder.

So if you're wondering if he is a true pedophile (or hebephophile, someone sexually attracted or interested to those beginning puberty; typically 11 to 14) in the context of psychology, he's not. Just as he's not a true ephebophile (someone sexually attracted to or interested on those between 15 to 19) for having Leorio and Kurapika in his radar/toybox (if you're in his toybox, means you're a candidate for his next fight, where he can get some sexual arousal from) since early on in the show, or a true gerontophile (someone sexually attracted to or interested on elderly) for having Netero in his radar (first arc) and Zeno in his toybox (you do realize that Hisoka will also schwing so much if he had fought Netero or Zeno, no?).

He looked like he has polychronophilia (having more than one chronophilic conditions; for more info on Chronophilia and its categories (which includes the ones I mentioned in this paragraph), you may check these links: 1, 2, 3, 4) because of the way he interacts -it's all flirty and stuff-and always loves to make others uncomfortable in any way, but to me, he doesn't. But it can also be argued that he might be almost-borderline to borderline polychronophilia, but he's not crossing over it. This part about polychronophilia is disputable.

(ik this paragraph is more of my personal opinion) I'm leaning more on the fact he doesn't have it, and it's the combination of the previous four diagnosis that I did earlier and agonophiliac disorder (+ signs of autassassinophilia) that he's acting this way (and is a very dangerous combination). If he's ever gonna get it off, it has to do with that combination of conditions or s*x with a woman (Yes, man was attracted to Machi and wanted to spend the night with her during HA arc). He won't be attracted to people just because of their age, how they look like or how old they look; Zushi would've been a target in HA arc or Bisky (in her girly form) would've had her fill (let's be honest - she would be down to have him for the night if Hisoka made a move on her) if Hisoka was truly a pedophile or something along those chronophilic conditions. (As for his attraction to Machi, that can possibly be another story.) Otherwise, he'll be doing shit outside of norm, even if that is seen as pedophilic by many, or some sh*t, just to accomplish an aim no matter how small it is and/or to have his fun or satisfaction like a typical sociopath/psychopath and/or Machiavellian he is.

(Also, to be frank, just using those two scenes + that schwing scene in HA arc alone to justify or to come into conclusion that he has pedophilia is kind of hasty, considering he has those 4-5 issues I've mentioned previously that you have to take into account when analyzing his character (and it's already difficult making my own analysis of psychological conditions; smh why does this clown have to be so problematic). It's also necessary to take into account his personality, what he likes to do, speech patternsn interactions with others, the scenes, the environment/setting, cause and effect of actions, and other variables in play.)

Is he a horrible person? Of course he is. Very terrible. I like him for making the story interesting and the psychological complexities this man has, and yes, I've enjoyed contents (hcs, fanfics, analysis) made by others in tumblr about him (excluding the hcs and fanfics involving Gon or any minors as main ship in the content - I won't ever ship them with Hisoka, especially romantically and any relationships that are sexual in nature), but I will never stay in the same room as him in real life (especially if he never seek intervention or some sort, which of course he would not). Just bc he has these conditions and like him as a character doesn't mean I will excuse his behaviour and all he atrocious things he had done. I do not and will not accept or condone them at all.

So to summarize, he really has many issues:

ASPD - clearly bc he'll do shit to accomplished his goals or to have his fun, even if he has to murder someone or even if it looks pedophilic, without ever feeling guilt, remorse, or something.

Superiority Complex or Narcissism (either one of those)

Machiavellianism - will use and strategize to accomplished his goals no matter what; amoral, etc.

Sadomasochism

Agonophilia or Agonophilic Disorder

#5 overlapping with/with signs of Autassassinophilia

May or may not have almost-borderline or borderline polychronophilia (disputable/debatable part)

And here I am wondering how tf the therapist would handle him if he ever goes to therapy........

A Little About Me

I am twenty-one years old & Irish-American, I use she/her & it/its pronouns, I am hella LGBT, and I am a loud & proud anarcho-communist

We are a system that suffer from a combination of severe symptoms from all Cluster B personality disorders, but most severely borderline personality disorder (BPD), antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) and narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Outside of those I also suffer from dependent personality disorder (DPD), bulimia nervosa + ARFID, chronic insomnia, major depressive disorder, agoraphobia, CPTSD, and am autistic, & with this blog I have decided to make it everyone else's problem :P

I have been studying English for about as long as I've lived and writing for about eight years, and I'd like to think I've become pretty damn good at these things. Stuff Regarding My Writing

I am an all-around speculative/weird fiction writer, though I am willing to try literally anything if the idea intrigues me enough. That being said, almost all of my work returns to horror eventually, as it is my beloved and my most faithful muse. Besides horror, some of my other favorite genres to write include dark fantasy, urban fantasy, historical fiction, noir, & cyberpunk.

My writing style itself is a mix of a more casual style with more complex words & obscure references mixed in. My work tends to be quite bleak & dark in content, as it started as a coping mechanism for my trauma, but I don't believe in grimdark stories and I work to make sure there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, however dim. There is also, very frequently, stylized and detailed gore & elaborate, over-the-top action in my work.

My writing takes a very psychological, character-driven bent at all times - I feel no shame in having simpler plots so that I can focus on the mindsets of traumatized and fucked-up people. Mental health is a primary focus in all of my writing, and I tend to feature antiheroes or legitimate villains as protagonists.

Black-and-white morals are a thing of fiction in my work - with the rarest of exceptions, I strive to discard "good and evil" as constructs entirely and write human beings instead.

I usually write female protagonists and/or protagonists of marginalized & underrepresented groups. Everything I write will have some LGBT people somewhere, it's a guarantee.

Thanks to my areas of study, I also write a lot about mythology & theology - good luck finding a single project of mine that doesn't sneak in a reference to some god somewhere, if not straight up including them. I also really enjoy ancient literature and will frequently incorporate references or quotes from older epics. Drinking game: Take one shot every time I reference Dante's Inferno in something (don't actually do this for your own safety)

While my settings & stories tend to be very fantastical, I always seek to ground them in reality as much as I can and give them a grittier feel - combat in my stuff is a lot less cartoony and a lot more focused on broken bones and bloody bodies. I also write HEAVILY about real-world politics with an explicitly leftist anarchist view, so if that's not something you're prepared to deal with, I'd advise you turn around now.

My Current WIPs...

Karma Killer (full post here) - Slasher, Psychological Horror. In the fictional mountain town of Lake Leer, Colorado, a bullied teen named Kora Lynch is driven to suicide, only to be saved by a wrathful goddess and given a kabuki mask and the ability to know anyone's sins with a mere glance. In an alternate version of our world where gods lived alongside humankind and brought them to a new level of technological prosperity, the dreaded World Serpent Jörmungandr reveals herself to have survived Ragnarok while rescuing her villainous old flame, the Phantom Queen Badb. Quickly finding herself pursued by the entire world for the prophecy that promises she will end the world, Jörmungandr dedicates herself to saving Badb from the "Black Pharaoh" that enslaves her - even as Badb is forcibly driven to remain sinister and create chaos.

Based on the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland & the later Black Death, the island of Ériu is besieged by the foreign Anglii and their High King is killed. His daughter, Hail, dies with him, but she is resurrected by the serpent goddess Corchen with one objective - to kill King Godric across the ocean, no matter the cost. Her mission soon intertwines with that of a mysterious plague doctor's, who seeks to stop an oncoming plague - one that could spell the end of all life.

that NPD + ASPD feel when you see those posts that are like “if you like art/an edit, don’t just like it, reblog it” and you’re just kinda like why lol. i might like the post, yeah, but that doesn’t mean I want it in my blog. The irony of thinking “random ppl are not entitled to attention” when I myself get angry when I don’t get attention for the content I create. (Seriously, the whole point of a conversation could be about someone else’s content, and I could still be angry theyre not talking about mine.)

Bonus points though if the person begging for reblogs is someone who has never reblogged or commented on your own work…

no like i completely understand like. it feels like such a guilt trip. i also get that way with stolen art, like logically i know it's not a good thing to use someone's hard work without credit, but my ass just doesn't CARE like i should, but i don't. now, i would never say someone else's art is mine, but when it comes to credit, even though i really crave credit for my own work, i just don't care about giving it half the time because it's like, there's this weird guilt-trippy shit that goes on that's like, really online. because people act like you're a bad person if you don't do some arbitrary thing that only has online relevance. like i can't fucking stand more than half the posts on this site because they're all random, weird guilt trips about "morality" but the "morality" they're talking about is like. tumblr reblogs like are you fucking kidding me /nay

😅 I don't think I'd call her a psychopath at all. Largely because of the ableist connotations behind the word and that it's not uh.. actually used in legitimately psychiatry by anyone who should be working with mentally ill people, but even ignoring all that, Neo doesn't really fit the pop culture definition of psychopath.

A lot of people try to equate it to ASPD (antisocial personality disorder) but it's not actually the same thing. Mental disorders that prior used to be referred to as something else are actually not the same thing as what they are currently referred to, because one of the biggest reason the name changes is due to us gaining a new understanding of the disorder and realizing it isn’t actually what we prior thought it was.

Like how MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder), which later “evolved” into DID and OSDD, are technically the same thing but... they’re not really the same, since DID and OSDD are first and foremost dissociative and trauma disorders, where experiencing multiple parts is only a symptom of the structured dissociation caused by trauma, rather than the defining trait of the disorder despite what people online try to make it out to be.

Pop culture definition of psychopath is, yknow, someone who's very emotionally inhibited and incapable of genuine emotional connection with other people, as well as being extremely manipulative, egotistical, and seeing other people akin to tools to be used. Often also thrown in with the "deranged serial killer" trope.

That's pretty much the opposite of how I view Neo, but it is still one of the common "groupings" of characterizing her--a lot of Beacon-era content of her characterizes her like that.

But! Yeah, no, Neo is not “baby” nor is she soft, or cuddly, or a well-meaning but misguided person. The MOST I can see is her seeming vaguely childlike for being impulsive and emotional, BUT there is a line between someone being emotional and someone having the emotional capacity of a goddamn 10 year old, which quite a few people seem to write her as the latter LMAO.

(Me rambling about my characterization of Neo under the cut)

I view Neo as someone who’s very emotionally unstable and prone to strong changes in her feelings and opinions based on things she takes personally or reacts strongly to, and as manipulative but ultimately in a short-sighted manner that tends to end up hurting people way more than if she thought it through more; all ruled by her insecurities and feelings of inferiority, as well as her refusal to admit to herself that a lot of things that bite her in the ass are actually her fault. I think she’s also impulsive, short-sighted, and dominated by her emotions, although she doesn’t believe she is (largely because admitting so would mean also admitting her actions aren’t justified and that she’s lashing out based on her feelings and not reality).

I also view her extremely contradictory in a lot of her social-emotional viewpoints, as is common with the ambivalent attachment type: I see her as antisocial but terrified of being alone; she hates being touched but she’s also touch starved; she’s afraid of genuine emotional connection but desperately wants it; she feels it’s pathetic for anyone to express fear, hurt, and sadness but wants to express those feelings and have someone reassure her; she thinks emotional vulnerability and intimacy is bad, dangerous, and taboo, but constantly projects her own feelings onto people, creates scenarios of imagined emotional intimacy where there was none, and develops shallow but intense attachments to others; etc etc. Essentially, she holds viewpoints that should make her extremely detached and cold towards others, believing that emotions and relationships and softness is horrible and terrifying, but she still has those emotional needs and desperately wants all of those things, which creates an end-point of her behaving in extremely contradictory ways, like telling people contradictory things or lashing out at someone for something she had enjoyed until they mentioned she was.

I also think that Roman had much lower emotional needs than Neo, and that while he was still traumatized, his handling of it was more... well, stable and his breakdowns were a lot more private and internal. And that he pushed a lot of this mentality of “emotions, vulnerability, and trying to help others only makes you weak” onto her, because he used that mentality to protect himself, and he hoped that maybe he could protect Neo by getting her to believe it too before she’d been hurt as much as he had, but while that viewpoint isn’t healthy for either of them, it was much more damaging to Neo than it was for Roman (via Roman actively not wanting those things nearly as much as Neo does).

Obviously a lot of this portrayal is not exactly canon based on Roman Holiday, but I’d interpreted her like that well before Roman Holiday came out so I’m not going to re-work my entire characterization for that.

I definitely don’t view Neo as this gifted prodigy that came from a place of privilege, largely because I view a big part of her core worldview as viewing herself as a victim of society and being afforded no innate privilege which therefore validates any action she takes to gain power or otherwise make herself not a victim (which, while her viewpoint of being a victim is exaggerated, at its core it is based on fact. Also obviously she has privilege over Faunus, being human, but Neo is at best completely ignoring racial politics and otherwise views them as naturally deserving of the lower social ranking as animals and therefore humans don’t really have “societal privilege” over them any more than humans have privilege over working animals).

The biggest contradiction with Roman Holiday I think is that Neo does seem to canonically have a superiority complex, but I tend to interpret her condescending behavior as coming from her trying to overcompensate for and project her feelings of insignificance and not being good enough--

TBH at the very core of it having this doubt she can’t let herself fully admit of almost viewing herself as a “bad person”, though what that actually means to her is vague and IDK how to explain it that well without going into a lot of detail because the way I’ve written that is like.. very complicated since she’s essentially contradicting half of her behavior and world view by thinking that but LISTEN she also isn’t at all.

Though, I also view Neo as an incredibly hypocritical contradictory person but she refuses to so much as realize that she’s being contradictory, instead constantly pushing off the blame onto anyone else within reach, and ultimately even the universe itself before acknowledging her own fault. Hence leading to her blaming Cinder for Roman’s death, and then Ruby, and having this incredibly intense hatred for Ruby even though she hasn’t seen Ruby in over a year and I think, on some level, knows Ruby isn’t wholly responsible for Roman’s death. (Though I personally argue Ruby is in fact responsible for Roman’s death to a certain degree, but that doesn’t mean that Ruby’s guilty, a murderer, or should’ve acted differently.)

As far as the “manipulative but shortsighted”... I think I might best explain it with an example: If Neo is friends with/wants to be friends with person A, and A & B are besties in this scenario. If person B finds out something bad about Neo, then Neo gets scared that B will tell A and A will cut her off, and she might sabotage A & B’s relationship or threaten B until they are too scared to spend time with A anymore, therefore eliminating the chance of A finding out what B knows about Neo. But! She doesn’t consider the fact that A & B are best friends, so when A gets incredibly upset because B seems to have cut off the friendship out of nowhere, Neo gets pissed off at B for upsetting A even though it’s her fault, and when A isn’t as social anymore and pushes away Neo, she lashes out at B and blames B. Neo got scared of losing A so she took the quickest route she could think of to prevent B from telling A, and ended up ruining her relationship with A AND A’s relationship with B, where if she’d been more careful, thought it through, or tried to even just talk to B, it wouldn’t have ended as a loss-loss.

I actually HC that Neo has undiagnosed BPD and probably C-PTSD, as well as attachment issues (as far as the attachment types, definitely ambivalent type). Obviously this portrayal I’ve talked about here, I haven’t gone through to make sure it’s an accurate portrayal of BPD or CPTSD, nor am I specifically gunning to make sure I gave her BPD or CPTSD symptoms, so I do want to be clear that I don’t label my portrayal of Neo as “this is Neo with BPD and CPTSD” since I’m not actually writing it with the idea of portraying BPD or CPTSD in mind (does that make sense?? Like I think my portrayal shares a lot of similarities w symptoms of BPD and I like to HC Neo as having it, but I’m not saying I’ve explicitly written her with BPD because I haven’t). IK a lot of people HC her as being on the autism spectrum and I can definitely see where they’re coming from, but that’s not how I interpret her behavior; I interpret her emotional and social issues as stemming from a combination of largely childhood trauma and partially just “how she is” rather than solely something innate about her.

ANYWAYS I hope this makes sense overall lol. I have trouble with writing succinct descriptions of people’s behavior and personality, so I described a lot but not nearly as much as I would if I was trying to get all the details across better.
