This is my mom telling me one of the scariest stories I've ever heard of...

#stupid post #talk talk talk #like #one of the stories #(which I don't think is real #but anyway)#tells how one day a man ran over a neighbor's dog to death #and in retaliation for this #the neighbors kidnapped the man's daughter #cut off her limbs and vocal cords #literally making her their dog #but at one point #these neighbors flooded the neighbors from below #which caused them to call the police(?????) or whoever it is #when the police arrived #the first thing they saw was a girl with amputated limbs and no voice #she looked cheerful...#the neighbors committed suicide #realizing that I would arrest them #another story was about my nanny #who took care of me when I was 2-4 years old #it was a story about how the nanny's husband died #it was in the summer #he was rotting fast #but the nanny could not take him where he needed to go #because it was completely different times and everything was going on #so the nanny had to watch and take care of her husband's dead body until it was time to take him away

It actually meant so much to me to see the original Mina/Jonathan dynamic honoured in Nosferatu (2024). The way they loved each other so much, did everything for the other, clung to each other in the face of the Count's individual assaults upon them...I'm so used to seeing adaptations take this actually really great couple and tossing them into a blender for the sake of propping up the Count's character and his *not book accurate* relationship with Mina. I was so worried going into this movie I'd been hyping up since the beginning that it would fall into the same trap, and it soothed my fears immediately. The only straight couple ever in my eyes <3

So. Apparently halfas are like phoenixes or something, which Danny would’ve really liked to know.

See, usually with ghosts if they’re forced to retreat to their cores they reform as was, but apparently, since they’re still partially living, schrodinger's people and all that, halfas have to regrow their body from scratch. At least that’s what he’s understanding from Frostbite.

But how come he has to deal with it? It’s Dan’s fault for trying to pull such a stunt! Oh, it’s either him or Vlad? Well fuck, he might have calmed down and is going to therapy in both the living realm and the Zone, but he’s waaay not equipped to raise a child except for like, monetarily wise.

Well dammit, how long will this core incubation thing last, he has his new job in… let him check which offer he accepted again… He has his new job in Coast City that he needs to finish packing for and then all the rest of the stuff to do.

I've been seeing people lately say Will and El being close is fanon but it's literally not. They were each other's only friends in Cali because they wouldn't have seen Jonathan much in school and had no other friends. They do what writers do, which is small but specific lines when you have minimal screentime to establish this. That's what 4x01 was FOR.

But yes. They aren't each other's #1 in the world, I'd say. Because they're close like SIBLINGS. They fight, in a petty, stupid way. They cheer each other on but they make little comments like "Will has not". But they also fix things together and go to work parties for their mom and eat breakfast and dinner together every morning.

Minimal screentime is not the same as fanon. They're close like siblings.

They lived together every day with no other friends for minimum six months. To claim anything else came from that is both illogical and a disregard of season 4 episode 1, which has their Cali screentime completely dedicated to establishing them with each other. I thought we were all for every inclusion being purposeful and meaning something?

I honestly think people just aren't used to getting wishes granted but I must comfort you, this is extrapolation, which is very different from fanon, though understandably confusable. We drew from the text what they gave us, we didn't headcanon where there were gaps.

All they do the entire opening episode of season 4 is love each other.
