What's Normal Anyway? (DpxDc Prompt)

For one reason or another, Lance Thunder transfers out of Amity Park. It's not Chicago, but Metropolis isn't so bad! It's a lot less chaotic with no daily ghost attacks, and the pay is so much better. He's settling into his new job pretty well if he does say so himself.

His coworkers and local news reporter Clark Kent would like to disagree.

Or Lance Thunder has a lot of habits he's picked up from his time in Amity. Just little things like refusing to allow cardboard boxes into the newsroom, opening the shared fridge with an improvised shield and weapon as if something might jump out, and frequently scanning his coworkers for ecto radiation.

He's... unique. Some of the stuff he says is either confusing or concerning or both, but he's also completely unfazed by whatever big bad is attacking and crazy enough to run to the scene to the report it live.

okay, but putting aside the comedic aspect of this, it is concerning the amount of people who are prompted to vote for candidates just because it's funny. I'm not the biggest fan of how his policy about the boarder sounds [Site], but I do implore anyone who is able to vote in the 2024 US election to please research other candidates.

The media is only going to continue pushing the idea it's inevitably going to be Trump vs Biden 2.0 and we have no other options, that we have to vote for Biden again because of Project 2025. Is that whole thing terrifying?

Yeah, fucking absolutely.

But voting for Biden will not solidify our safety from that. Biden is exactly like the rest of them. He always has been. You can't make the lesser of two evils argument when they're both just plain evil.

You cannot say that Biden is even mildly a better choice than Trump when he is currently directly involved in a genocide. That is not some little fucking thing. That in and of itself disqualifies him as a lesser evil. Biden is just as bad as him and he will not save us because he doesn't fucking care.

The sheer fucking audacity of CNN to refer to yet another inhumane massacre of Palestinians who were just trying to retrieve aid for their starving families as a "chaotic incident" enrages me. They refuse to name the perpetrators who murdered Palestinians, the IOF and they refuse to condemn Israel for the atrocities they have been carrying out since October. The CNN and other western news/media outlets don't even deserve to be called as journalists but rather a bunch of heartless ghouls with no morality, fortitude, or spine. and these so-called news outlets should be put on trial for their complicity in this genocide.

Woke up thinking about Neve Gallus becoming more infamous than the family who left her behind.

#[ introspection ] its not what keeps me up at night. its not the quiet. i never could sleep once work gets in my head.#[ woke up thinking about 17-19 year old nev.e just starting out as they leave her ]#[ abandoned and shunned because she refused to leave with them ]#[ remember in movies and there was always the concept of that young questioner or reporter that trailed after important people #[ where she’s asking questions at a rapid fire before she loses them or gets shoved away and shove her away they do. ]#[ yeah at one time that was Neve ]#[ the scrawny nobody with nothing but a notebook and small writing pen and ink ignored by everyone #who lived in a shady little beat down apartment in the back of a forgotten alley #both ignored those in charge and her own people living in Docktown ]#[ dozens of those people she wanted to help turning her away too and telling her there was no point to it- to go home and leave them alone #[ Hal likely doesn't even remember the first time she showed up with nothing but the money she scraped up for the food that day ..#or maybe he does. that's why he doesn't take her seriously when she shows up (endearing wise) because he still #remembers that scrawny half starved detective who was hired for a job no one cared to take only stopping by there on #runs between her office and her bunk. ]#[ for me its funny also imagining this young neve- before she lost her leg- crossing paths with a young also nobody Rana standing guard #as a faceless foot soldier- who was nothing more than a suit of armor by the door with her fellows - watching this young detective #chase after her boss asking him questions no one dARED to ask and just thought she was either bold..or stupid.. maybe both. ]#[ the fact in Neve’s mind she’s still that girl. ]#[ still that little nobody who isn’t doing enough ]#[ ANYWAY! i do not know how to explain to people that "transmisogyny" is the specific transphobia that trans women + transfems face (often but not exclusively at the hands of cis people), and "transandrophobia" is the specific transphobia that trans men + mascs face (often but not exclusively at the hands of cis people), and that they all come together under the umbrella of "transphobia." these are not opposing concepts nor are they mutually exclusive, to believe in one does not mean non-belief in the other. is there a simpler way of phrasing this. can i be clearer.
