a spiderverse x spiderman!reader x batfam concept different from my spidernoir one

exposition is fairly simple, peni-parker!reader comes back from the boarding school they were sent to by the family to "keep them out of vigilante business" but are blissfully unaware that for the past few months, peni!reader's been working on a mech suit to support their new found spider powers, after getting bitten by a radioactive spider while away at school.

with access to bruce's batcave, luke's indulgence in your "academic strive" and your stealth and sneaking about, you're able to make your suit pretty quickly. unresolved feelings from your past, and this sense of debt you feel, you decide to repay by being SP//dr... spider for easy-comms.

the thing is, peni!reader is an anomaly, since this spiderman in this universe in not meant to exist. maybe some stuff with the spider society and all can come in and we find out that actually, the spider that bit peni!reader was from this universe and spiderman is allowed to exist here.

but to investigate what a radioactive spider with the wrong genetic data was doing in your universe, where is wasn't supposed to be* spidernoir agrees to drop down to gotham to help peni!reader to figure it out. he becomes, essentially, a father figure for reader, something that bruce hasn't been able to due to the weight of reader's and his past.

meanwhile, when peni!reader comes back to the manor from 'boarding school' the family notices physical and mental changes in them. their more distant, dismissive... confident in their skin. though you guys never had much time to talk or hangout or bond like they do, the development is difficult to notice.

additionally, sightings of a man in a trench coat and a car-sized robot swinging around have been going around, doing god knows what. the batman doesn't like being unprepared, and tries to scour out their identities and whereabouts. i have some really small little ideas that'd be funny for the whole run, like spidernoir showing up for a parent-teacher conference instead of bruce, ai assistant karen, commentary from spiderpunk, constantine and strange link up and also delve a little into what the themes between spiderman variants, spiderman, and batman are that make them so different are.

i'm rotting away like an oxidised apple but rlly dont know if i should write it cus ive got so much 2 do... if ppl are interested at all i mkigbt consider

in conclusion: I LOVE YOU SPIDERNOIR AND PENI PARKER!!!!!

*supposed to be = not in the sense that how mile's spider teleported to another earth, but like, peni!reader was just not meant to be bit, and that spider is not supposed to exist. the dc and marvel universes are parallel, with peni!reader's existence being a small, hairline road between the two.

Avoiding Remus seemed to be quite difficult. His eyes always seem to be on you. Whether it was sitting down at the table or getting drinks his eyes seemed to follow you. It was a little nerve wracking. But thankfully the night was coming to an end. As everyone was leaving one by one, first Lily and James, then Sirius, then Peter. It was just you, Mary and Remus. After a second of some uncomfortable silence you decided it was your time to go. You give Mary a goodbye hug, and a rush goodbye to Remus. You feel the cool air the night brings you as you leave the pub. You let out a relieved sigh, it was over.

“Y/n! Wait!” You internally groan in your head, of course Remus would follow you out. He wanted to talk. You weighed your options. It was either ignore him and let him keep calling out for you or get this over with. You heaved another sigh turning around.

“What can I do for you, Lupin?” Remus comes to a full stop. And he frowns a bit. “We’re on a last name basis? Ouch.” You glare at him. “What do you want?”

He’s silent for a second, debating in his head on what to say. He knows you’re still upset with him. He settles with a pitty smile. “You know we’re going to have to talk about this at some point, right?

“Right, of course.” He smiles now, a real smile. He’s smiling with his teeth, you look down to his bottom lip, his small scar stretches. You slip a small smile but quickly relax your face and narrow your eyes hoping Remus didn’t notice. “What are you smiling about?” You snip at him, you’re trying your hardest to be a little mean.

“Nothing,” you look at him skeptical, he shrugs as his smile turns more sheepish and shy. “This is the most you’ve talked all night.”

Oh, you didn’t realize. Your face goes blank. You have no quick response to Remus.

“Oh, you guys are still here?” You both turn to see Mary. Your face feels hot, your body tenses, you internally scream. “Yeah, me and y/n were just catching up.” Mary's eyebrows furrow with confusion. “y/n and I went to school together.”Remus quickly explains, Mary turns to you, you shake your head confirming what Remus just told her.

“Well- it was good to see you Remus,” you lie through your teeth and quickly turn to Mary. “Want to walk back with me?”

“Yeah!” You and Mary lived at the same apartment complex. You were relieved that you always had Mary for company. And even more relieved and thankful she saved you from this conversation with Remus. After Mary’s quick goodbye to Remus, you start your stroll back home.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” You promise your friend, softly. Drained from tonight.

“You seem tense when Remus is around.” You curse at your friend in your head for being so observant. You softly hum, offhandedly looking forward not wanting to look Mary in her eyes as you lie to her. “I didn’t notice.”

“Right, what happened?”

“Nothing.”

“Liar.”

Then it’s quiet for the rest of the walk. You don’t know what to tell Mary. It’s not like Remus did anything wrong, or bad but, what he did wasn’t exactly good either. Even though Remus hurt your feelings back when you were friends, you still have a feeling to protect him. You don’t want Mary to have an opinion on Remus before she actually gets to know him.

You both made it to the complex, you turn to Mary and wish her a good night. Entering your apartment you head straight to your room. You’re exhausted, but you still have your nightly routine. You groan. But you shuffle across your apartment getting ready for the night. A few minutes later you fall into bed sleeping alone.

Waking up to your phone ringing wasn’t ideal. It was actually annoying. You quickly grab your phone and answer the call. “What?” It comes out rude, slow and a little sleepy.

“Hello to you too.” You hear the amusement in his voice but you can’t help closing your eyes, you feel the dreadful feeling taken over when you hear his voice. “How did you get my number?” You grumble into the phone.

“You seem so happy to hear from me.”

“Well, of course! What girl doesn’t love speaking to a guy who ripped her heart out?” You sass back, your sarcasm voicing out. It’s quiet on the other line. You feel as if you overdone it. “I’m sorry, Remus.”

“No, it’s fine.” There’s a beat of silence, that’s awkward. But Remus clears his throat. “Anyways, I need your address.”

“What?”

“I need your address. We’re hanging out.”

“No we’re not.” You resort, you’re not hanging out with Remus Lupin.

“Yes we are.”

“Remus, no we’re not.”

“We need to work this out.” He’s stubborn and firm on his decision. But you are too.

“No.” You hang up the phone, not wanting to hear Remus out.

The dreadful feeling is back an hour after the phone call, when you hear a knock at the door. Walking over to the door you look through the peephole, you see Remus.

“You’ve got to be joking.” You hope that if you're quiet enough that Remus will leave.

Another knock on the door. You stay silent, you even go as far as holding your breath. “I know you’re here.” Your hope is crushed. You let out the air you’ve been holding as you open the door “How’d you find me?”

“Lily,” He shrugs his shoulders, as if it was nothing. “Okay, get ready. We're going out.”

“Where?”

“The park.” you’re definitely not going to park with him, no matter what.

You’re mad with yourself. You are currently out at the park with Remus. He bribed you outside of your apartment with lunch and a trip to the bookstore. It’s embarrassing how quickly you folded. It’s shameful.

You’re both seated at a bench. You find yourself a little speechless at the moment. You're waiting for Remus to say something to break this awkward silence.

“I think we should become friends again.” You stare at Remus as if he’s crazy. He says it as if becoming friends again will be easy. He laughs at your facial expressions. He knows it’ll be harder than it sounds, but he’s determined. He misses you. “I’m serious, you know.” He stops laughing, moving his body towards you. You look up to him, he does look serious, there’s not a hint of amusement in his eyes.

“I’m still not sure.” You say skeptical, Remus knew this was going to happen. You had every right to be skeptical. But he’s going to prove it to you.

“I know, but I think we can do this.” he’s trying to reassure you, His large scarred hand grabs yours, holding it.

“Maybe,” you’re still not sure, but you don’t want to make anything awkward or weird for your friends. “I'll think about it.” You snatch your hand back from Remus and scoot away from him.

“I’m okay with that.” He scrunched his eyebrows a little, he was a little hurt that you snatched your hand back, but he does understand. “I think we should skip out on the book store and lunch.” You offer, you feel awkward and a little bad for offering this suggestion. You just need to be alone for a bit. “No, come on let me treat you!” Remus has always been nice, that’s a problem for you. It’s always been hard to tell him no.

“I’m sorry, but not today.” Your voice is soft, you have to set a boundary. “Just let me think about this.”

“Okay.” Remus smiles at you, it doesn’t stretch all the way. This smile doesn’t really stretch any of his scars on his face either. It’s not a real smile.

You grin at him, politely. And then stand up, you decide to head home and to think about what Remus asked. To become friends again, it wasn’t going to be easy. Not when you still miss Remus more than a friend, but you think you could put this aside and work it out for Lily. You’re not going to mess it up.

how the marauders & co. would dance

james: he’s so confident that he looks cool even when he’s doing stupid moves, which is most of the time. he always looks really relaxed and chill. when he really gets into it though, he’s gooooddd, and no one can look away.

sirius: he had to learn ballroom dancing when he was younger, so he has really good rhythm. ho matter what other moves he’s doing, his hips are always swinging with the beat, and it drives remus insane. he’s also just a realllyyy good dancer over all

remus: he thinks he’s an awful dancer so he won’t do it at all unless he’s drunk. but even when he finally loosens up a little, he’s still kind of stiff and self conscious. it’s kind of adorable though. he’ll dance when sirius drags him out to the floor.

peter: he has so many fun dance moves that make everyone laugh. they’re lowkey impressive though like i feel like he would randomly be able to breakdance really well and everyone is just like ??? he definitely can’t slow dance for anything though.

mary: she should be illegal. she is an absolute goddess. hips, shoulders, butt… she is a master and she knows it. she loves to dance and show off, especially for lily. she’s also always wearing the perfect clothes that swish and flow with her body.

lily: she can dance, and she knows it. she doesn’t usually go too hard until she’s had something to drink, and her moves slowly become for suggestive. lowkey feel like she had a ten things i hate about you dancing on the table moment one time and she’s never living it down.

marlene: she doesn’t like dancing. it feels unnatural and weird and the only person she’ll do it with is dorcas, or maybe mary if she’s feeling particularly tipsy generous. she’s not bad at it at all, she just doesn’t like it very much.

dorcas: she can take it or leave it. she’ll usually dance a little at parties, and occasionally she gets in a mood randomly where she really wants to dance in the middle of the day or night. marlene will always sometimes indulge her and dance with her.

pandora: nobody dances like her. she loves to dance, she can feel the music run through her soul. it possesses her, and she flows so beautifully and perfectly with it. she’s so elegant and mesmerizing and the entire room is transfixed and just stops to watch.

evan: he doesn’t much care for dancing. he can ballroom dance, but club/party dancing just isn’t really his thing. he can occasionally be convinced by barty, and he’s pretty decent at it, but he just doesn’t get the hype. he’d rather just watch

barty: oh, he is downright sinful. how does one even move like that?? he loves to dance with sirius when they both know evan and remus are watching. they get so into it and their boyfriends are over there pretending to be jealous but actually just drooling over them.

regulus: he also learned ballroom dancing, which he much prefers to anything that goes on at parties. he loves to watch james, and although he’ll deny it, he loves when james pulls him out on the floor to dance, even if it’s not a waltz. he has impeccable rhythm too, so he’s naturally good at any kind of dancing.

Headcanons | Simon Peter, Mary and John playfully arguing over you getting to be their “little sister” | Platonic

Simon Peter

He has seen you as a younger sister ever since you became close to Eden.

You and Peter’s wife have been hanging out a lot during Cephas’ absence and because of this, he has started to see you as part of his family.

He feels like he has the main right to call you his sister by choice, since he’s the ‘rock’ after all.

“I want to call her my sister, because I can protect her better than anyone else.”

Mary and John don’t really agree to this, because Mary believes that you need someone more gentle and John feels like he and Big James can protect you just as well, if not better.

The three of them decide to ask you upfront about who you would like to call your ‘sibling by choice’.

If you choose Peter, he will be smug about it and put a protective arm around you, telling you that you’ll never have to fear about anything or anyone.

Mary Magdalene

She never had any siblings, so you are extra special to her.

Mary has always felt the need to protect you, since you’re a little younger.

This also includes shielding you from male attention as much as possible, since she can see that it makes you uncomfortable. Mary is quite street smart and can see through men’s intentions better than you can.

“I think I am allowed to call her my little sister, because I know her through and through. And she trusts me with women-things, you know?”

Peter feels like she wouldn’t be able to protect you physically and John thinks you’d prefer two brothers over one sister.

When you are confronted with this question and choose Mary, she will smile brightly at you and lean a bit closer, embracing you whilst whispering: “I always wanted to have a sibling, and you’re the best sister I could ever have wished for.” 

From that moment on, the two of you are closer than ever, and you are able to go to Mary with anything you need. 

John

Since he has an older brother, John never felt that he lacked siblings in the first place.

However, ever since you showed up in the group of Jesus’ followers, he has felt this immense pull to protect you, mainly because you are so sweet and unassuming.

“I am allowed to call her my sister, because I can teach her a lot about Adonai.”

Mary doesn’t really agree to this statement, because she thinks that you’re already getting that kind of education from Jesus Himself, so the argument doesn’t really stand according to her. Peter says that you’d be better off with him, because he has a special title, which makes him more qualified. At least, that’s what he thinks.

So when you pick John as your ‘sibling by choice’, the younger Thunder is all proud and will declare your new status to anyone who wants to hear it. 

“(Y/n) is now our sister, did you know that?” 

Big James, confused: “Uh, what did I miss?”

Salome and Zebedee also don’t mind this development, glad to see that their son is so protective over you. 

Expect regular dinner invitations, at least twice a week.
