peanut butter egg...color theory?

my mom is making peanut butter chocolate eggs while I'm home for Easter and gave me a ball of the peanut butter filling to try. It was really good but not extremely peanut butter-y. She asked me how it was and I asked what else was in it (because it ofc isn't straight peanut butter) and told her it was good but not super peanut butter-y followed up by "but I also just finished a jar of peanut butter with a spoon so it's like color theory" and idk if she didn't hear me or just accepted that because I offered no explanation.

anywho, I just process it as things being relative. of course something seems less peanut butter-y if the base line I had been immersed in was pure peanut butter, but if someone with a clean palette had tried it it may have seemed super peanut butter-y.

This is like color theory and bringing in colors within a certain context. The context that a color is surrounded with and used in in a painting can entirely change how we physically interpret said color. (I'm not knowledgeable enough of color theory to give a specific example but it's like using a mid value color next to high value vs low value or a certain hue as a flat color vs in a shaded context for another hue.) please tell me this makes sense to someone

Best Reese’s!

For my money, this is the best Reese’s! It’s bite size, it has the best peanut butter to chocolate ratio and is made to fit perfectly in your mouth.

Kinda feel bad for the grandkids though, doesn’t look like they will be getting any in their Easter baskets!

Sorry not sorry.

We have to put together 8 Easter baskets tonight plus fill about 75 Easter eggs with candy for the Easter egg hunt.
