8. what's the most fun and the least fun parts about your process
The least fun is deeeeefinitely lining things. I tend to use a softer pencil and too much pressure, so my hand and the paper will be absolutely covered in graphite by the end of it 🤡🤡🤡 The most fun is probably adding last-minute touches - making the lines a bit cleaner, adding gel pen, etc. It feels a little less stress-inducing now that basically everything is finished and I can just be a little goofy about things!
9. show us a finished piece right alongside the original sketch
Hehehehe np! It isn't dndads but I have recently finished a spidersona sketch page that I like. I think it's pretty fun :Dc
22. what inspires you
Lots of things!!! Art Nouveau stuff - particularly paintings by Alphonse Mucha - really inspires me (which definitely showed up a lot more in my older stuff than it does now). Fashion illustration has also been a very longstanding piece of inspo, as has high and low fashion in general! Anime and ghibli are also something I look to, as well as cartoons of all kinds <3 And lastly, a lot of my mutuals and people I follow on here have inspired different elements of my art style and how I approach making things in general :DDD Actually um. To name a few. @queenangst @themissakat @shima-draws @bardicspiration @mood-owl @toonteller @llumimoon (and you ofc @officialgleamstar) hope you guys don't mind me tagging asfkhavshkfs! You guys are so cool 💗💗💗
"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw
AITA for lying to my dog about food being 'spicy?'
A while back I taught my dog what spicy foods are (by letting her sniff them and saying "Uh oh! Spicy!") and she figured out that it means it'll smell/taste bad and she immediately loses interest. It was initially an accident but it became really handy in getting her to leave food alone if it might hurt her.
Recently though I've started saying "Uh oh! Spicy!" about any food I don't want her to eat. If she's sitting and staring at me eating a regular non-spicy snack and I don't want to share, I'll tell her it's spicy so she'll stop begging for it. She believes me 100% of the time. She does have a 'leave it' command that she obeys as well, but she always acts so sad whenever I tell her to 'leave it' and it's something she wants.
I feel a little bad because she's an older dog (10y/o) and maybe I SHOULD be sharing my snacks with her, but sometimes a man's gotta enjoy his food in peace without a little creature gazing longingly at him the entire time and crying like the world's soggiest beast.
Included is a picture of her making her very best begging face so that everyone can accurately judge how evil I am for lying to her.
just saw hozier live and he thanked everyone for using their hard earned money to come see him and support him. yeah you would never find taylor having that sentiment.
for reference my ticket was 80 dollars.
the cheapest ticket i found for taylor’s upcoming show was 549 dollars. (i compared multiple third party sellers)
and i haven’t even mentioned how all art is political. and how hozier chooses to uplift ceasefires. he encouraged us to contact our u.s. representatives. how is opener (a black queer person) thanked hozier for creating a world where it’s safe for her.
Sometimes you watch a show and you're like: wow, they had a serious show bible for this. And you just know it's treated like the holy grail it is by everyone involved, that it's laminated, that it's got annotations, footnotes, color coordination, a section for foreshadowing, callbacks, foils and parallels, that an eye blink doesn't get blunk without it matching that character's arc for the season and the show overall.
And sometimes you watch a show and you know that show had a pamphlet, one with, say, the word TEEN written on the front, WOLF on the back and just [TBD] splatted inside, probably with (abs?) scrawled on the bottom somewhere. And someone put their gum in it around the start of the fourth season.
Jason insists on being the bait for a joint mission with the Bats. But the moment he starts “screaming” during the interrogation process, Batman calls the whole thing off and smashes right through the window and into the first thug.
Absolutely nobody is surprised by this development. Except Jason.
depictions of the ace experience never seem to include the nightmare-borne skeleton creature from hell so kudos to the dimension 20 team for their commitment to accurate rep
