Your poses and expressions are sooo soo good. STANPIPER SO ANGRY....... I love his tiny rage hes sooo Stanley even as a little bird.... And Wari'to my friend Wari'to looks so beautiful he's such an elegant thing.... I love Stan gesturing with his wings and folding them around himself when he's feeling defensive . And that TINY ASS CAGE..... this is improper stanpiper care I'm calling animal control. URRRGGHHHHHHH THIS IS SO SO SO SO SO GOOD AND WAS SO WORTH WAITING FOR THANK YOU SO MUCHHH FOR THIS AMAZING PIECE WHATA HELL!!!!!!!

i imagine the conversation that follows is a dubious negotiation in which warito makes NO effort to not sound smug and threatening but stan is perfectly aware this is his only option, and they spend a good tense near-hour where stan's hoping desperately he won't get frog-and-the-scorpion'd, until ford finally shows up

shifty blowing cigarette smoke in wari'to's face to piss him off (his sense of smell is sensitive :-( ) and waritos just (flehmen response)

Oh absolutely they are blowing smoke. They're a complete asshole about it. Stan is on them CONSTANTLY too bc they 1. Steal his cigs and 2. Should not be smoking w the kids in the house. So purposefully fucking w his boytoy would just tick Stan off more LOL

Nicky is also quite a sensitive sniffer and their brief period of smoking is specifically done to burn all the sense out of their own nose, so they know just how bad it feels. They start to smoke after Ford comes back. It burns their delicate grub lungs like fuck and it smells putrid and clogs up their senses with the nauseating acidic scent of tobacco and the nicotine doesn’t even do anything for them. All of which is why they do it. Subtle methods of self harm etc etc. Plus it is a very Human thing to do and it's something Stan does when stressed. Emulating him and trying to ease their dysphoria all at once. They stop after weirdmaggedon.

They did actually try smoking a couple times as a teen to emulate Stan and feel "adult" but it hurt too much and didn't even do anything for them so they abandoned it. Not before getting caught by Stan for shifting into him to buy cigs from the convenience store though
