There are some on the right, the pro-fascist side, who would claim Dems, liberals are the establishment.
First I would like to start out with the definition of liberal. Liberal: Willing to listen to, or accept ideas and opinions different from one’s own. Open minded.
Now let’s take a loo at conservative. Conservative: Adverse to change or innovation. Holding to “traditional” values.
When one thinks of movements that have bettered humanity, and the world at large are these done in the name of tradition? Are these done by the ideals of old?
Tradition in this country can be rooted back to slavery, back to a time when white people lorded their superiority over others based solely on the color of their skin. It can be traced back to the most wealthy among us, exploiting workers to enrich themselves with as much as possible while no care is given for the health and safety of those who make their wealth possible. Tradition can be traced back to voter suppression and Jim Crow laws, disenfranchising the votes of those who don’t fit their socioeconomic standards, who don’t fit their color code.
This tradition can be traced back to TODAY! Because this tradition of disenfranchisement is happening TODAY! Nearly every state with a GOP majority has done, and is doing all it can to drop voters off the roles. Pretending there’s some kind of fraud. This fraud is simply the poor, those of color, and those who don’t fit a white Christian mold, that they seem to think this country is.
Through years of scheming and planning, through a lack of foresight from our founding fathers, trying to appease slave states. The GOP has found a way of minority rule over the vastly diverse country America is. This minoritarian rule can be seen clearly in SCOTUS, it can be seen in the senate where millions and millions of Americans have little to no say on the goings on in government. Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, all those states combined don’t have the number of citizens California does. All those states are “conservative” states, but California gets 2 representatives, the collective there is 10! A 10-2 vote with not nearly as many constituents. There’s the house though!? Some may argue. The house is a joke! So gerrymandered, useless idiots like Margery toilet Greene will keep her seat for decades to come. We outnumber conservatives in the real world but are trampled by them in representation.
We are the revolutionaries! We are the fight against the forces of old and evil! We are the fight for change! For a better America, for a better world where ALL have equal rights! Where ALL get the same shot at the American dream! Where ALL are treated as members of this country despite their origins or preferences or religion! We are the rebellion against “tradition”. A tradition that seeks to benefit one sect of peoples. We are the other sect and we will not be gaslit to think otherwise.
All of us in the pro-democracy movement are the heart of this nation. The liberals who will take the pinnacle of diversity and thrive with the ideas of all! We are the change. We are the next generation. We are love! We are hope! We are the open minded, accepting, tolerant, compassionate, ever learning, ever growing liberals of the United States of America.

julian blossom didn’t just go on a random path, he followed the road not taken by one all american archie andrews.
julian took over archie’s role in the musical—the fictionalized tale of his literal life, taking up the torch as the classic red-haired all star—and then wandered aimlessly as a “lost soul” (indecisive, unsure What His Story Is About) until eventually following the fated footsteps of Fred Andrews by enlisting and dying in the war
a life for a life. julian took on the narrative to try and set archie free.

Leftists appear to be taking the lionshare of Muslim votes in Michigan, followed by Republicans, with Democrats coming in dead last. According to this poll released over the weekend, Jill Stein and the Green Party are kicking ass in this particular state among this subset of Americans. It’s almost like…when you spend a year slandering people as antisemites and telling them that they’re irrelevant politically…they won’t vote for you come election time. Online libs are furious and it’s absolutely, 100% their own fault.

the thing about culture that's difficult for a lot of people it seems to me is that "culture" is not some ontologically coherent Blob where you can sit at the table and someone will serve it to you and you get to just sit there and Receive it. or, it's not something you can dig up and carefully extract unchanged, if you sit carefully enough at your books, and then put on your mantle to admire. i'm a motherfucker whose career is about digging things up from books so i get the appeal, and yet that's not what Culture is, because culture is what you Do. so you already have one. what food do you eat? where do you live? what rituals do you perform? do you take your shoes off when you go inside?
culture is distinct from religion and ethnicity (though obviously it's interrelated with both), and deeply related to the place you live now and its customs and foodways and norms for politeness and hospitality, and what other populations live around you in the place you live now. trying to connect to the mystical immigrant old-country past of your ancestors is unlikely to get you the results you're looking for - culture is something you do every day and i promise you already have one. and you're already doing it. which means that you can also just as easily change the things you do if you don't like them.

#I've had the cutest interaction today#So like yesterday? There was this post I saw on my dash that was like “you want to know extra info about museums? Just befriend a–#guide! That way you can also unlock the Secret Backscene” and I was like. Lmao. Who could ever befriend a museum guide I've never–#even personally met anyone who works at museums?#... Well. Guess what happened today#I was following this guided museum tour with a friend and when the tour came to an end I was happily chatting with her when the guide.#Shyly chimed in and was like “is that an Atsushi keychain?” And I was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#And I was like‚‚ omg‚‚‚ Do you happen to know‚‚‚ This one series‚‚‚‚‚‚#And they unsheathed their phone like a fbi distinctive in American movies to show me their fyo/zai background amjdsgawsjda it was SO cute.#They were adorable. And I got so embarassed but trying to keep my cool while internally I was like‚‚‚#Omg the Cool Museum Guide™ is talking with me about my hyperfixation‚‚‚‚‚‚ What is happening#We talked a bit about the manga it was such a nice and sweet exchange. They said they like Dostoyevsky and I was like yeah he's so cool!!!#They said they're sorry about Bram it was REALLY cute (´;ω;`)#I didn't want to hamper them too much so I took my leave shortly after but I'd actually really like to pay visit again–#when the new chapter is out??#Hhhhhhh I don't want to look stalkery and like go look for them on their job. But also like‚ they looked genuinely happy and as excited as–#I was when we were chatting and I believe in the power of human connections through shared hyperfixations#The possibly funnier part is that then my friend went “Wait you're into b/ungo stray dogs??” and like alright. This is less surprising.#I already knew she likes manga.#What actually left me quite baffled was that... She really didn't know I was into b/sd. When it's literally what I think about 24/7#Something very similar happened just a week ago. My friend gifted me a manga volume of a series she really likes for my birthday#But when she was giving it to me she awkwardly went “oh‚ just‚ it features romance between two guys. I hope that's okay with you...”#And I internally had to pause and realize that no.#In fact most of the people I hang out with don't know I spend half my time curating a bl focused blog.#It's just funny in a way? I got so used to concealing my hyperfixations I didn't even realize I actually got quite good at passing–#for someone who is normal about stuff.#random rambles

One thing about republicans is that those bastards will band together through hell or high water because they know it benefits them and keeps them in power, and they know how to utilize that joint power to push their agenda and get things done their way. That’s how you get someone like “never trump” J.D. Vance becoming Trump’s VP. Or someone like Megyn Kelly going from feuding with Trump throughout 2016 to speaking at his final rallies in 2024. It’s why even members of Trump’s former staff and (formerly) prominent republicans like Liz Cheney speaking out against him didn’t seem to make any sort of substantial difference. Republicans will still flock to Trump’s majority because it benefits them more than the bits they don’t like harm them.
Meanwhile, democrats tear themselves apart from the inside, refuse to engage in productive conversation, and instead dismiss full board anyone who even slightly disagrees with them, resulting in so much internal divide it’s impossible to see a clear end game or bottom line. Yes, if everyone who voted third party had voted for Kamala, it still wouldn’t have won her the election. But the problem is not merely third party voters, but third party voters plus the apathetic left who saw no point in voting at all (turnout was far lower this election than in 2020) plus the inability of both liberals and leftists to see beyond themselves and their own narrow interpretations of a perfect society to any feasible channels of actually getting CLOSE to there. If we cannot work together, work within existing systems as a starting point instead of leaping to unattainable ideals, and learn how to compromise, nothing is ever, ever going to change. The republicans figured that out a long time ago and it’s why they’re winning and we’re not.

Hey y’all! Just to give some insight into what we are seeing in the states. This is going to be close, like reaaaaallly close. Kamala would need to win Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin from the looks of it. So, where does that leave us? Who’s to say all three of these states are very volatile. There’s a high chance she loses Michigan ( I mena she fully fumbled it there so it depends on if the people choose to over look that), so that’s already bad news. Georgia would have been a good alternative but gerrymandering needed any chance of that.
There is an ever increasing chance that Trump is able to pull what he did in 2016 so y’all need to be prepared for that.
And even if he doesn’t win there is a high chance there will be riots so

The damage that Trumps narcissism has done to our country is immense! Top specialist in public health and violence prevention, Dr. Bandy Lee, who has doctrines from both Harvard and Yale, and World Health Organization consultant felt that her and her colleagues had “a duty to warn” about the dangers Trump poses. She also describes the effects of Trump on society as “the Trump contagion”, that his mental illness is spread through the population like a virus, infecting the minds of those who follow him.
This is becoming increasingly true. The very bedrock of our democracy is under assault by average people who believe trumps lies. These people believe they’re protecting this country when in fact they are actively tearing down the pillars that hold it up.
Dr. Lee says, like a smaller group of people who wil become infected with psychosis from being around someone who’s mentally ill, the cure is the same as it would be for the Trump contagion. The sick person needs to be removed from the equation before those who were exposed can begin to heal.
Trump needs to be delegitimized by defeat this election so that America can heal from the pathogen he has spread.
Vote Kamala Harris for the sake of America

The situation in Puerto Rico is bittersweet in a sense, it's awful that people are suffering and have become so apathetic but I'm glad that ultimately they're starting to stir from that apathy and become proactive. I have a bit of a hot take with this one, either we grant Puerto Rico statehood or we grant it independence. We cannot maintain the status quo like this anymore, it's ridiculous and needs to change in either direction. I fully support Puerto Rico in whatever direction the people choose and wish them the best, if you're from Puerto Rico I implore you to vote and the sh you the absolute best.
