GRINS. OH, I CANT WAIT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THE LORE OF POWER RANGERS AND TOTAL DRAMA...!!!

In this AU, the TD characters are essentially placed in a world that follows MMPR rules (made up city, aliens, superheroes, etc.) and the main cast is as follows...!

Dw about any last names, the TD characters canonically don't have any in the show, and it'll stay that way in the AU! At most, I'll do subtle nods or jokes about popular fanon names lol

AS FOR FAVORITE THINGS TO DO IN THEIR DOWN TIME... WELL.

Courtney is very active in the school government scene, and she's also a counselor in training at a local summer camp program. She's also a passionate performer, and enjoys working with the theatre/drama club!

She's one of those busy-bodies, methinks, she likes engaging with the community and keeping herself busy! It's what she enjoys! Her down time is often spent finding ways to be productive. The normalcy also helps her cope with the fact that aliens keep attacking at inconvenient moments lmao

She's also often seen with Gwen, a more introverted goth that she drags around from time to time.

Noah is also active in the student counsel. Hell, he's Courtney's direct competition for the title of Student Body President at the beginning of the story. (aka "season 1")

He's a lot more lax, however, preferring to keep the amount of responsibilities he has to a minimum. He breezes through classwork, and finds himself with a fair amount of free time... Granted that aliens aren't attacking again.

He's often seen reading or gaming in the library, hanging around with his friends Izzy, Eva, and Owen, or walking his yellow labrador retriever around the block.

Heather is difficult for me... She's such a pro-active, bitchy (/aff) character and I feel like we haven't really seen much of her acting domestic in the show itself. She does ballet, and I'd imagine she wouldn't be opposed to doing things around the school for her own benefit (especially after her character development lol)

But like... Huh. She has a cat, and it doesn't seem like she has a good relationship with her parents. I don't know what she does in her down time, really, perhaps it'll come to me when I write more about her. She's one of those characters that really dominates the page when writing, and seem to almost write themselves if that makes sense lol

Harold, like Noah, can be seen reading or gaming in the library, or hanging out with his bandmates. That's right boys, the Drama Brothers are CANON in the MMPC universe. 😈

Is their music any good? Don't worry about that...

Harold is also very active in weekend/after-school programs and activities, and has volunteered at many similar places. Jack of all trades, master of none some may call him. He's also open to hanging out with his teammates and trying to get them to open up, he's the most forgiving of the group and wants them to all work together. So, yes, for better or for worse, he helps everyone else out with their hobbies.

Duncan is known for skipping class, but what he does while playing hooky really depends. He can't stay at home, so instead he lurks around town or the school premises, sneaking in snacks and such for his friends. He's also into wood whittling, not something he can do on school premises but definitely something he has a talent for!

He also has a pet tarantula named Scruffy, who is very well-cared for and VERY spoiled. He has a few other spiders and bugs he takes care of, and is very knowledgable on bug care! He whittles out little sculptures and caves to put in their enclosures, methinks!

... When not doing that he's bullying Harold, and trying (but failing) at bullying Noah. Izzy bit him once, but that physical wound was nothing compared to the psychic damage Noah left him with. (He called him a poser, and proved it with citations and evidence. MLA formatted.)

Tiny head, tiny body, soft brown-black hair that felt and behaved more like duck fluff or dandelion whites; skin and scent like buttercream and perfection.

Spike continued his sleep on Eugene's chest, petal thin lips twitching with his equally thin eyelids in his dreaming as Eugene's piano player hands continued grazing over his back. As if he was a kitten instead of the newborn he and his were still becoming accustomed to believing was quite real and not imagined.

Soft grey eyes took the tiny little creature in, at once adoring and enthralled at the idea that he'd made this. Not on purpose, not of his own freewill, but unwilling to deny that he was the most perfect thing in the whole galaxy.

He didn't even acknowledge the door to his medical room opening, only looking away from the top of Spike's head for a quarter-second to spy Matt slipping in as quietly (and awkwardly) as possible. A container of food was in hand that Skull couldn't even be bothered to venture a guess at the contents that the New Green set on the tray table with the metal arm that brought to mind an architect's lamp for figuring out shading on a new portfolio for new designs; Matt fidgeting around in his pockets for a moment before he pulled out a paper wrapped spoon.

"Hey," Matt theater whispered as Skull went back to admiring his baby, only giving Matt a small smile in acknowledgement as he unwrapped the spoon and opened the lidded box; detecting the smell of something that made his mouth water (not a difficult thing, given that his post-labor hormones had left him ravenous for anything that could even pass for edible--including a cardboard box left in the trash that had once contained shitty chocolate covered almonds) and managed divide about a third of his attention, "Billy went out and got you pork vinegar soup since Bulk's been complaining about you eating nothing but bone broths and seaweed soup the last few days. He sent me up since he was late for a meeting he couldn't get out of...if that's okay?"

Skull's smile stretched out from the soft line into somewhere more broad and attractive and Matt practically flooded over with the feeling of all of his hair standing on end.

"It's more than okay if you want to visit, Matt. The fact that you came as emissary and food carrier is just a bonus."

Unconventional AUs: Sentry Skull x Billy x Matt + ghost AU~

ACTUALLY, you be prepared to hate me.

Skull is a new, rising musician; he's just got his new paycheck. Billy is a professor in quantum chemistry, and the two of them have been together for quite a while now.

They've also been saving for a while to move out of the shared apartment they had been living in— their flatmate, a certain Jason Scott, being a little too annoying with the constant martial arts practice, and not particularly liking the three-persons living conditions— and actually move into something of a proper home.

It's weird when Jason's boyfriend, Zack, approaches them with an offer of a house he had seen on sale a few days back, in a locality familiar to him, where his parents have lived for ages, a seemingly perfect place to move into. It's a nice two floor bungalow, neat lawns, lovely society, everything just about perfect... except the fact that its unbelievably cheap.

Skull is initially reluctant, believing something's a 100% wrong with the place, and that they'd be moving into some serial killer's mansion, with bodies buried in the basement, if they do.

Billy isn't hearing any of that, though, because its the house he's always dreamed of having with Skull.

Skull finally gives in, they buy the house, they move in. Everything's normal, the neighbours are nice, even though they gossip occasionally, behind their backs.

There's a very nice Miss Kwan living next door, and she brings them dinner on their first evening there, along with some nice potted plants which she says are a lovely housewarming gift.

It's nice, really.

The first few months in the house are lovely, even though Skull notices some weird things happening every now and then.

It's weird, how someone keeps flushing the toilet at nights, when both of them are lying together in bed, and there's absolutely nobody else around, or how that one ceiling fan is always so creaky, no matter how many electricians you call over to fix them, or how there's a wailing noise coming from one of the pantries, or the ever so flickering lights. Some days it's good, there's no strange happenings, other days its fucking awful.

It doesn't take Skull long to realise they're being haunted by a ghost.

Well, fuck you Billy, I TOLD YOU THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS HOUSE!! OUR FLATMATE IS APPARENTLY A GHOST NOW.

Billy doesn't believe it, of course. He's gonna find a scientific reason for it all.

Meanwhile, Skull's doing his own research. He talks to Mrs. Taylor, Zack's mom, and then to a few of the other old gossipy housewives and old men and then strikes up a conversation with Miss Kwan too, about what is up with the house.

Turns out, he was right. There was a ghost who was haunting them.

That’s actually why the house was so cheap. It absolutely was considered haunted, and the previous owners had wanted to get rid of it as soon as possible.

So who was the ghost exactly? Billy didn't seem to want to move out at all, so it was maybe better to drive out the ghost itself?

Matthew Cook. He found out about him after looking through tons of articles online, followed by searching for newspaper clippings at the library, and talking to that one very, very, verrryyy old man in the county, a certain Mr. Oliver, who seemed to be the only person alive who could recount the tale o'tragedy as old as time, vividly.

Matthew Cook had been about the same age as Skull and Billy when he had committed suicide. He'd hanged himself from that one particular ceiling fan in the lobby that kept creaking no matter what.

Nobody knew why he did it, but it was all in the papers. This old lady, who had been his landlady, Grace Sterling, had been imprisoned for abetment of suicide, later on, and the house had been sold off, and moved from hands to hands to hands, because the ghost apparently didn't like anybody else living in the house.

Skull wasn't very convinced.

The ghost felt rather... depressed... to him.

Well, Skull considered, the ghost was bound to get lonely, right?

Maybe what he needed was just some comfort? Considering the ghost actually was Matthew cook, of course.

Skull needed confirmation, so calling a psychic— who seemed very young too be in the profession, and wore a pink bandana— to conduct a seance seemed like the best idea. They conveyed to the spirit that it was okay to talk to them, that Skull only wanted to help, that he knew it must've felt lonely for him, after all, and that a few friends could hurt no one, especially when Billy and Skull were here to stay.

It didn't work, of course.

But the very next morning, when Skull drowsily walked into the bathroom, he was shocked out of his gut to find a guy, as old as him, with a thick stubble, messy hair, and wearing a crimson letterman jacket, sitting on the toilet, howling in sadness, even though very faint sounds escaped him.

The jacket read Matthew Cook...

I am typing this at 12:30 am after being out for 7 hours walking and standing nonstop so I apologize if my tappings make no sense

anyways I think chris would’ve given the team some alien steroids, since they’re humans, and weak. like try dropping them from 30 feet high, or put them against an alien with 500 years of experience, they’re so fragile. but then he realized he gave alien steroids to *teenagers*, not just regular old plain human adults. cue to duncan holding a fucking bus over his head going on an absolute power trip, he’s having the time of his life

I also personally think that they deserve to get dna from their animals as a treat. just, y’know, some minor mutations that would help them out in battle but become massive nuisances outside of battle. courtney should become a kibby as a treat. they’re full of alien drugs, animal dna and puberty hormones. do you see it

Okay "alien steroids" is a bit of an exaggeration, but I do believe there's some sort of power-up happening there. My Power Rangers knowledge in general is rusty, I watched one of the many TV shows sporadically as a kid (ie whenever it was on the lobby TV at my sister's karate dojo) so like... Lol.

But I've recently watched the episode in season 1 of MMPR where Tommy/The Green Ranger loses his powers cuz Rita put a spell on a candle, and like... Dude mentions physically getting weaker and feeling drained without his powers, so there's SOMETHING THERE. Tommy Green Ranger come back I miss you

I'll likely not include the candle-thing in the AU, cuz that was kind of silly and also the Green Ranger is... kind of my favorite in this show, so I ain't getting rid of him that easily. 😈 Will have fun with the Island of Illusions plot, though.

In the AU, I'd imagine this is how Noah gets enough upper-body strength to hold ranged weapons. Also yes, Duncan would throw a bus at someone. He will DO THAT !!!!

As for the minor mutations thing...? Nodding, nodding. First thing that came to mind were the mutations from the MMPRxTMNT comics which IS NOT WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT BUT—

Harold made them fursonas, I guess.

I'm not sure if I can do the minor mutations thing, but I'll try to toss in some nods to their zord-buddies in their designs, regardless. 😈

I've also been thinking about Bulk and Skull, and what I'd do with them in this AU. In the show, they're meant to be seen as bullies, but to me? They're losers, first and foremost. Above all else, they are losers. Losers trying to overcompensate by trying to be intimidating bullies. So I've given the role of bumbling loser to Cody—

Isaiah Rose’s Power Rangers, or, “Mighty Morphin Child Soldiers!”

It's my birthday!!! and in typical Chipster Birthday tradition I indulge myself in posting my weird Tomberly AUs. This year's is the PMD AU!

I've posted before about how when I was a kid I would entertain myself by keeping a giant list of what Pokemon every Ranger would be, and Tommy and Kim have always been a grovyle and shiny lopunny, respectively - but now there's the additional fun of the comic timelines!

So for the Coinless timeline, Drakkon found a way to keep himself mega-evolved indefinitely, and did the same thing to Ranger Slayer. I had decided their Pokemon species waaaaay before mega forms or the BOOM comics existed, so Lopunny and Sceptile both ending up with mega forms was a neat little coincidence that worked out super well for the AU.

and then bonus Olivia doodles - you can't breed Lopunny and Sceptile in the games, but since breeding is an arbitrary game mechanic, in my headcanon all Pokemon are compatible to breed - but couples outside of their egg groups have a harder time conceiving a child and their children have more hybrid-esque traits (though aesthetic purposes only). So Olivia's a buneary/lopunny through and through, just...with leaves sticking out everywhere.

The Wave Academy uniforms for both the Ninja Storm AU and Ninja Steel Rewrite AU

Compared to the other academies, this uniform is considered the “silent” considering how quiet and stealthy it allows the user to become. Due to the school mainly have water elemental students, everyone who enrolls is trained to breath underwater for longer periods of time with the metallic armor pieces above the main pocket having an adaptive shape and stores air and Ki reserves for energy. The themes of the academy is to preserve knowledge and information for the future so their attire takes a more “scholarly” but advancing approach with some of the glowy areas.

Like the other academies, Wave has their own pendants. The shape containing the ninja steel logo(Rewrite AU is where they use it as their team symbol), as we go outer a lotus pattern is formed gradually with anchor like pond arrows leading out, all symbolizing the traveling of information both within and outside the world. Regular students have the normal pendant, advanced students have the four star pendant, finally Sensei’s and expert students have the mandala-like pendant.

As for the Rewrite AU, here are the ranger civilian uniforms, correspondent to both their elements and theming❤️💙💛🩷🤍

Jason: Ok yeah that makes sense. But why do you still have it when you work for Zordon now?

Tom: I uh… I prank call her sometimes. You told me what prank calls are, right?

Zach: You know what, I did.
