The first I can remember was Zordon in Power Rangers in Space, followed quickly after by Kendrix in Lost Galaxy. A bit later but also ones that stick out in my mind are Joyce from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Pyrrha from RWBY.

I know it said “First” but I can never only pick on thing.
