“The Dino gems have a sentience about them, not just anyone can retrieve them, only the person that was meant to have them are able to claim them.” Tommy explained like he had with his students before, “I didnt think you would be one of the ones that was chosen to possess one, but I cant say I’m all that surprised.” He added after a brief moment. It seemed that once a ranger was always a ranger.

Back in two ways (Celeste and Tommy @universeofmuses )

Celeste and Tommy had been in a relationship for a long time.. what started as a simple blind date slowly became something truly serious, while he became a teacher she focused on acting but they always kept talking by letters of course knowing everything but now she was doing a surprise visit to reefside wearing her Christine Daae outfit and a mask given she had a rehearsal.. while Tommy seemed to be be talking with Ethan and Kira Celeste came from behind the now teacher.

Ethan:Dr.O don't look behind you but...

As he points she speaks up removing her mask

"What?I heard my name.. didn't know I was that missed"

You know what I think is absolutely precious about the kiss scene?

How when Tommy is opening up about being jealous, letting Buck into his insecurity, it’s the first time we’ve seen him falter since he came back. He scoffs and shakes his head when Buck tells him about how he was a part of the team, avoiding his eyes. He’s come so far, but there’ll always be that little part of him that wavers.

You know what it makes me think of?

Hen Begins.

And I’ll tell you why.

Remember asshole captain saying how Hen was a diversity hire?

Remember how Tommy had walked up to the railing with a big smile and it falling after the asshole spoke? Eyes going back and forth between them.

Remember him hugging himself during her speech?

In both cases, he was deeply unsure of his place. Hen was taking vitriol that could’ve been directed at him too and it wasn’t but he still felt its impact because it could’ve been. He was afraid and he was insecure.

In Buck’s loft, even though Tommy’s gotten a lot better and kinder with himself, he was openly admitting to feeling out of place and he’d never had someone accept him as easily into a family as Buck did in that moment.

Which makes his little surprised, “Yeah?” All that more special to me.

Tommy helps Buck babysit Jee-yun and they have a princess tea party together, these 2 big burly men sitting on the floor with little Jee and her plushies, holding tiny plastic tea cups in their hands with their pinkies up and singing songs together

Last night's musing during the episode:

I was tipsy trying to explain this show to someone who has never seen it before, haha. Everything they have learned about this show has been against their will, haha.

Tommy wasnt quite sure what she was asking, "Do you mean what was it like in the coma or what did it feel like to come back into fighting after it?" he asked her curiously, though it wasnt lost on him how she seemed a little spaced out. This had to be something to do with the coma she was in, he was going to have to have her checked out to make sure she was truly ok.

Conner and everyone watched Celeste handing the crystal over given all the alchemy used on her new garment

Ethan:Do I need to remind you it's risky?

"please don't Tommy is saying that every second and I can't really say I know what I'm doing but if I drain my own crystal won't work draining the clone's energy and getting your gems back to normal"

Kira:and if something goes wrong?

"You guys get me out in A flash"

She gave everyone a hug before heading to battle

Sometime after..

It was getting intense for both she heard the steps she knew what she had to do and knew the team was watching from the base and hearing through the comms

Distorted Tommy:You can't keep me from my bride who do you think you are?!

"I'm more than you can handle.." she ripped his gem charger

"now it's time for me to feed"

Soon all energy was drained and the foe was gone

Kira:our gems are working again! Celeste you did it

"Darn right I did"

Conner: we'll have a little party when you get back

"sounds great" soon her vision blurred up

"guys I'm not feeling so good" she passes out and when the team sees through the monitors her vitals were going down Conner using the speed of his gem got to Celeste and took her to the hospital where Hayley seemed to be there

Hayley:she felt that way after the drain?

Conner:yeah

Hayley: I'm guessing twisted version of tommy could handle more power than she could

Kira: Doctor Oliver her gem should help at least at some point right?

Hayley:get the drainer out of her..and let's hope it works

Hayley: C'mon Celeste..come back to us

She mumbles as her vitals seem to stabilize but she doesn't wake much like tommy who had gone through something similar

It made sense that the Dino gem’s power was in some way tied to its original. Though what she wanted to do was extremely dangerous, Tommy wanted to find another way, a way that wasnt so dangerous and could cost them someone so important to him.

“Celeste, this doesnt have to be done this way. There has to be another way.” Tommy chimed in at Celeste’s dismissal of Ethan’s concerns, “Too much can go wrong here, it’s not as simple as just getting you out of here.” Tommy added quickly after a moment. He knew why she was doing this and he would have done the same thing too, but he wished she didnt have to do this.

A short time later Celeste went to the quarry where she would be alone and be able to do what she needed to do, Tommy was anxious and wanted to be out there too, but the others kept him back. However things looked like they were working as they had hoped, it seemed like everything was going to be ok.

As soon as he heard the five words that came out of Celeste’s, Tommy felt his heart sink under the floor under him and he knew something like this was going to happen. Then he watched the camera feed as she passed out and watched as her vitals fell, he wanted to rush to her side but he was thankful that Connor’s passive gem abilities were back because in a flash he was on the camera feed and caught Celeste before she hit the ground. Tommy wanted to be there, “Connor bring her back here, we’ll work everything out here.” He said trying to get his love back close to him again where he could do something besides just gawking at a screen.

As the gem was pressed in her hand Tommy hoped beyond hope that everything was going to be ok. “Come on, come on wake up.” He said begging and hoping that she would wake up. Tommy now knew what it felt like for everyone to see him in a coma when he was in the same situation, he wished he could do something to help her, he remembered what happened with him and knew that she was in for a fight for her life.

I'm begging y'all tommy fans to stop being so parasocial with actors. You do not know oliver like that to be making these type of assumptions

Fair enough but my observation is my observation I hardly think it qualifies as me being parasocial except in the very literal sense of the term. My having a mildly negative thing to say about Oliver is not really a problem when he has to be reminded people to “be normal” every time he posts his own photography because people can’t stop saying Ryan is his muse. I think the fact that it even registers to you as this horrible thing that I said Oliver maybe doesn’t like sharing the spotlight shows how normalized the weirdness around Ryliver has become in certain areas of the fandom.

It was obvious that a serious and depressing wave washed over Tommy when she asked about another woman after her, she worried about what it was that he was going to say, what he had been through. Kim listened to him as he recounted the time after her and about Kat and getting married and having a child and losing both tragically, she put a hand up to her mouth when he finished his story. Kim was shocked, and hated that he had been through so much tragedy, he deserved so much better because he was such a nice guy and someone who always did the right thing.  “Tommy, I’m so sorry.” Kim said offering her condolences to him and his wife and child. Then he continued on and in not so many words forgave her for what she had done when they were younger, “See this is what makes you so amazing, makes me say that you deserve so much better than what you get. I gave you good reason to hate me for the rest of your life, and the only thing you can say and do is say that what I did was not bad and that you dont deserve better than what life has handed you.” Kim said with her heart going out to the man she loved and really still did today. 

“I’m not a hundred percent sure about that.” Kim replied playfully, she remembered after she handed over her coin that it seemed like her body wasnt as resilient as it used to be, that it took her longer to recover after the work out sessions she used to have when she was a ranger. As he talked about his time as a ranger after she and the others left all she could do was smile at him, “Tommy, you never saw yourself after you came to the team. Sure at first it wasnt like this, but after you became the white ranger and more comfortable with everyone, you really became the leader of the team, the leader that we all really needed. Not to say that Jason wasnt a good leader, but you brought so much to the table.” Kim said complementing him. 

When Tommy talked about his students and ranger proteges she couldnt help but smile, “Spoken like a true teacher and mentor.” She said playfully to him as the pizza arrived, she took a slice and started to dig in, “Oh that sounds interesting, I thought I heard something about that.” She said interested in the story he had to tell.

Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Oliver is a Power Ranger veteran one of the oldest as well. Participating in many battles going so far as to serve in four ranger teams. Tommy had done so much in his life time something that not many people can do or have the ability  to do the same as the Powers Rangers. After his Ranger duties were done and TJ took over for him, he left for collage where he earned a Doctorate  in Paleontology in only six years after that he went to work for an Anton Mercer which things ended badly so he settled for a position as a high-school teacher. During that time he met three kids by the name of Conner McKnight, Ethan James and finally Kira Ford. He turned this Kids into Rangers to help fight his past little did he know that his past wasn’t done with him just yet. 

Principal Randall had  ordered hum to show the new teacher around as he didnt feel like arguing or getting on her bad side he decide that sure he do it, Beside he likes helping people and the New teacher must be freaking out after all Randall doesn’t come across friendly. He made his way to the room where the new teacher would be he knocked on the door three times once he was clear to enter the room Tommy did and the face that greeted him was one of his former teammates and a Person he never thought he see again after composing himself he found his voice “Hey Kim what are you doing here wait dont tell me your the new teacher,” He stated the obvious. At times he thought that he was another a spell or something he definitely could say that his life is freaking insane and that would probably be an understatement  “So Kim why did you become a teacher when you had a promising career in pan global games” He  asked  her trying to understand her.

Go ahead and convince me that is just a friendly look. 😒 I'll wait.

Last night, I clocked it but felt I overlooked something. I caught "the look" going on, but I was missing something.

This morning, I see this and i have some thoughts. What if there is a bi arc but it isn't what we've all been speculating? Like the writers of this show wouldn't love throwing curveballs.

So, give me a minute and stay with me? Okay? Just hear me out.

These two seem very familiar with each other. I don't think Hen touched Tommy, but Buck easily reaches for him and Tommy turns into the touch before even looking at Buck. Then the return touch to Buck is just as familiar. It almost screams, "Go on. Get outta here!"

What if the journey for Buck isn't figuring out he is bi? What if the journey is his being bi being revealed to his family and friends via an old fling or an ex and figuring out how he really feels about Eddie?

Also, Tommy is staring Eddie down like a starving man seeing a buffet. (We get it, Tommy. Trust me. Millions of us would be drowning in a puddle of our own drool if that man walked by, so we completely understand.) He was about to follow Eddie and walk away without sparing Buck a glance. (Which is criminal because Oliver Stark is fire!)

So here are some alternative theories that are floating around in my mind:

1-Could the revelation about Buck happen because Tommy pursues Eddie, which pisses Buck off? If Buck and Tommy had a fling, maybe Buck tries to warn Eddie against getting involved with Tommy, because Eddie has mentioned in canon he is a nester and doesn't like games or just messing around with people and Tommy isn't the type to settle down. Buck is asked how he knows, and BOOM! Bi Buck is revealed. Buck is jealous of Tommy being into Eddie. Eddie finds himself hurt that Buck never came out to him, although Buck was never in the closet, his sexuality just never came up, and jealous that Buck would be with other men, but not him.

Cue both men going on a journey of self-discovery.

2- Tommy hits on Eddie. Eddie responds positively and begins considering opening himself to the possibility of being with a man. Eddie has the bi awakening. This leads to either:

a. Eddie discovering his possible interest in men and confessing to Buck, who then tells Eddie he is bi, too, and will support him no matter what. There is eventual jealousy, realizations, etc.

or

b. Eddie discovering his possible interest in men and confessing to Buck. Eddie explores his bi side, whether it be with Tommy or just trying dating men. Buck tries to be supportive, but his inner green-eyed monster rises and makes him realize a few things about how he really sees his best friend.

(Also cue multiple new plot bunnies! 🙄🙄🙄 Stills, interviews, episodes, random posts... The bunnies are hiding everywhere!

The silver lining of all this inspiration is my creative juices have definitely been flowing like a raging river. It's helping me find my muses for my original works.)

Petting my cat and thinking about how Tommy is pulled to Evan Buckley, as if someone attached a magnet to him.

Thinking about how Tommy craves everything about Evan. His buoyant energy and rambling facts and smile that could rival the sun itself. His long, strong arms that pull Tommy close. Evan likes to joke about how he’d never had a partner larger than him before, but Tommy finds that he’s never had a partner that could make him feel so small and safe.

Thinking about how Tommy’s never felt safe before and he didn’t even know it until Evan wrapped his arms around him and tucked his chin over his shoulder.

Thinking about how Evan Buckley is the sun and Tommy is a planet trapped in his gravitational pull. Evan is the sun and Tommy is a sunflower, turning towards his warmth and light.

Thinking about Tommy’s bad days, the ones we all have, where he can’t bring himself out of bed. Where the darkness gets overwhelming. And Evan brings the sun to him in the form of his gentle smile and soft touch, in food and extra blankets and a warm embrace.

Thinking about how Tommy has vowed to keep his sun from ever losing its light. Because without Evan, Tommy would lose his world.

Musing on Ryan & Oliver’s pre-s7 interviews at the premiere party

Oliver: They get to show up for each other in different ways. But they’re moving forward. There’s almost like potential for things to come up in not so great a light.

Ryan: Well there’s something brand new for both of us.

I would LOVE to see Eddie ‘moving forward’ coming out as gay  and Buck being completely thrown by it ‘something brand new for both of us’. Not because he’s not supportive, but the opposite – he suddenly becomes very aware that Eddie LIKES GUYS. And who is a guy? Buck is, of course. And apparently Eddie ‘loves him to his core’ – and Buck loves Eddie too, of course he does. But Buck isn’t gay. Is he? So off Buck goes on an internal spiral that naturally he doesn’t speak to anyone else about, especially Eddie.

Meanwhile Eddie, sweet baby gay Eddie, is feeling sensitive about coming out so late in life and takes Buck’s weird reaction ‘in not so great a light’ and that Buck is not supportive and thus we have some delicious angst between them both. Maybe even a fight and them keeping their distance (divorce era 2.0 yes please).

Oliver: But we get to see their friendship persevering. And them being there in ways that they don’t necessarily expect for each other.

Buck has his own bi crisis and I know we’re all excited about Tommy being part of either Eddie or Buck’s queer awakening but honestly, I would really like to see Buck turn to Hen and Karen about it. Hen’s been there for Buck for such a long time, she deserves to be the one to talk him through this, not some random throwback hottie. Perhaps Tommy flirts with Eddie which gives Buck the push he needs to talk to someone (Hen) about his confusing feelings and jealously.

Oliver: And I just think it’s a really lovely journey for them this season.

Hen, and possibly Maddie or others convince Buck and Eddie to Actually Talk To Each Other. This of course takes the rest of the season because let’s face it, after watching these two be oblivious about each other for 6 seasons, nothing is going to happen quickly.

I predict their last scene together in s7 will be one with the most meaningful eye contact we have seen yet, and perhaps them moving towards each other to kiss before it cuts, leaving us all hanging for s8 – but with confirmation that Buddie WILL become canon.

question though like we know the uncomfortable truth for tommy is his past, so what's buck's uncomfortable truth? I feel like that has to be his feelings for Eddie and do I think that means Tommy is jealous absolutely not but I do think Tommy will be the one to pretty much tell Buck it's Eddie and it always will be him.

I too have been musing o bucks uncomfortable truth or truths and I just don’t think his feelings for Eddie are the answer here, all of the interviews have implied fairly heavily that it’s about both of their pasts. It’s also far more satisfying narratively if Buck figures out for himself that he’s in love with Eddie. I could see Tommy saying something when the relationship is ended that sets bucks brain whirring, but I don’t think it’s something that would come up during the relationship.

I’m not sure I have the full answer on what in bucks past it will be, but my current thoughts are connecting dots relating to either the sperm donation coming back up - something that wasn’t really fully resolved and would be interesting from a do you want kids conversation perspective and would potentially be uncomfortable.

Alternatively it could be related to bucks promiscuity and in connection with that his cheating. Which is probably my preferred option to be honest because it ties into my theory that bucktommy are a buckabby redux. Part of me thinks this because of the parallels the two relationships already have - first proper relationship with Abby - first queer relationship with Tommy, the age gap is probably around the same between them, failed dates, both Abby and Tommy being brought up something for Chim (return to work and bachelor party) and there are many more. But the other part of me thinks this because the Abby of it all is one thing in bucks life that has been there since season 1 and has never been given full closure. The bench conversation in 3x16 was deeply unsatisfying as the end to that arc and now is the time to bring it back up and close it out fully. By not having full closure I mean that Abby didn’t really truthfully apologise for how she left etc and she justified her own actions in a way that placed blame onto buck. buck still had very little agency in much of that relationship or it’s ending and her was made to feel foolish for waiting and abandoned. Bucks past relationships etc being the thing of his past that comes up gives him the opportunity to close out all of that - he can end things with Tommy on his sim terms. Abby’s past played a part in her treatment of buck so for bucks past to do the same only for him to do it properly would show so much growth and development for him. It also plays into what else Oliver has said about buck being more confident and self assured.

Of course im probably way off and there is every possibility that we are going to be given some new buck lore and that the thing that is the uncomfortable truth (or whichever of the multiple descriptors Oliver or Tim have given us you’d like to go for) hasn’t yet been revealed to us.

Give me some TRUST 🥵

Okay this one was inspired by 1) Oliver's band tattoos on his upper forearm (which I know people love to argue back and forth about wether in the queer community they actually mean fisting--it's individual, sometime they do sometimes they don't--in this fic it does for Buck 😌) and 2) one of my favourite possessions Bert Herman's TRUST: The Hand Book

This is the updated 1991 version but it's still dated in some respects, so although it might not have all the most up to date medical terminology it's still a) a super important historical document and b) the only book I've personally found that really captures the spiritual element of not just fisting, but queer sex and kink/fetish communities that you get from speaking to one and other but not necessarily documented in writing. I think about that "My heart is yours if you can reach it" quote all the time.

All that to say, I'm a little bit of a "Tommy's a bit of a hippy" truther, it might of taken a while, but once he got out of the army and left the 118 and went to therapy and started having healthy relationships with men and started doing yoga and became a Plant (*cough* leather) Daddy, I can see this approach to not just sex but also the body appealing to him. Something about the intensity of the act but also the required mindfulness of it.

Anyway, as soon as he see's Buck's tattoo for the first time, he's like "I'm taking that man inside me up to the elbow if it's the last thing I do" lol (Buck is of course on board).

Tommy squeezed Evan’s forearm softly, his fingers stretching halfway around the breadth of him. Evan grinned and flexed, corded muscles jumping under Tommy’s hand like piano wires. Tommy liked him like this, a little cocky, a lot pleased with himself, it made a warm syrupy feeling pool in his gut.  "You think you can get that deep in me too?" Tommy mused, he tried to make it sound casual but the hitch in his breath gave it away.  “I don’t know…�� Evan said, twisting his arm around clenching his fist so Tommy could watch the tendons in his wrist pluck at his skin. “Do you think you can take it?” Tommy’s mouth went suddenly dry. It had admittedly been a while.  His gaze lifted to Evan’s face and there was a knowing glimmer in his eyes that made the syrupy feeling turn molten. Tommy pulled him in by his grip on Buck’s forearm till he was settled between Tommy’s thighs, till he was close enough that Tommy could see the flecks of green in his eyes. He smoothed his hands up Evan’s arms and over his shoulders, digging his fingers into the muscles there. He was so big everywhere that sometimes it took Tommy’s breath away.  “I want you to make me.” Ten years ago he would have been embarrassed by how fucked up he sounded already, voice ragged like he’d been chewing on glass. There was an Evan shaped hole inside him that had been growing ever since Evan had walked across wet tarmac to shake Tommy’s hand and nothing quite felt like enough.  Evan’s gaze zig-zagged across his face like he was stitching together some truth about Tommy in that big beautiful brain of his, one that hadn’t come together until now.  His hand on Tommy’s jaw was heavy, pulling him into a lingering kiss. Tommy arched against him, moaning into his mouth loud enough to be glad they weren’t at Evan’s place. Thick arms anchored themselves around his waist, Evan’s tongue, always impatient and a little sloppy, pushing inside, right where Tommy needed him.  When they parted Evan’s mouth was pink and slick, voice husky enough to rival Tommy’s own.  “I know what you want,” he said, stroking his hand down the side of Tommy’s neck to his shoulder, pushing him down onto the mattress, broad palm and spindly fingers spread wide across his chest. “I see you.”

Tommy smiled under his helmet and her quip, though when he saw how she was being mobbed by monsters, he was concerned that she was taking on more than she could handle especially after unlocking a newfound strength. Still he had to take the staff away from Zedd, they had a better chance if they kept his staff from him than if they let it fall back into his hands, “Can you handle all of them?” He asked her worriedly, still keeping his eyes open for someone to come and try and take the staff away from him.

The Rangers had beaten one monster before being separated it was now just Celeste Trapped in a Room Alongside Tommy And she knew what she had to do that was part of Zed's Play only one could escape..the other would have to fight whatever went through the other door..one Door opened the door to escape

Zed: Don't even think about your fancy teleport Rangers only one can escape freely and the other has to fight for the way out

Celestine knew that Tommy would put himself to the fight like he did for the others and for her but she felt tommy had done enough fighting, as they both walked towards the door she had tears down her eyes as she pushed Tommy to the exit and the door closed banging on the door but soon he'd be at the base

"Tommy.. I lost a lot in my life..but I'm not going to lose the one person that understands me.. since day one and you may say it's stupid and maybe reckless..but the team needs you more than it needs me.. and..."she paused before speaking on the communicator "it's because I care for you I'm doing this.. I'm putting you first.. because I love you..and I should have said it before..and things are Way too risky to say it now..
