I’m sick over the way both Buck and Tommy were apparently agonizing over not being able to talk to/see each other since the breakup like they both looked so relieved to be together again you can literally see their red string pulling them together they are IT for each other babes

oh you know what i really love… this is the third time buck has witnessed tommy’s jealousy, but the first time it genuinely rubbed him the wrong way. the first two times tommy confesses that he’s jealous (yet not necessarily feeling great about it), it doesn’t directly impact buck, and so he doesn’t fully process that it’s one of tommy’s genuine traits. like, okay he’s jealous that the 118 became a family after he left for harbor, he’s jealous that buck has a father figure that he’s close with, but this time, the jealousy comes at a time when buck is vulnerable and impulsive and missing his friend, so it hits him as real and he lashes out and bites tommy right back.

what i love about it is that buck is realizing that tommy wasn’t saying he was a jealous guy just to say it. it’s a real part of him, and it might stir the pot from time to time. buck needs to treat it as real. tommy has fucking trauma and defense mechanisms. he is maybe not always going to be the easiest person to be with. buck is finally realizing that—and yet he still wants to call him. ohhhh it’s so juicy guys
