so needless to say this mission of the Shadow (slow going, stressful at times like Twi getting hurt)

Has made him give u an army of little wooden figures (everyone else gets a small collection bc ur the first he gives one to)

sneaks them as a little surprise into your belongings or clothing or other personal effects

This started bc after a week or two of him giving you wooden things you tried to reroute him to other ppl,

so Sky just made it his mission to see how many he can sneak instead onto you on any given day lmao

(Also he may or may not have daydreamed abt being able to carve u things and actually physically give them to you on his adventure before, so he's taking advantage of being able to now)

Has luscious hair at all times, little to no effort, Wars is so pissed abt it lol

Mf responded when asked what products he used (by poor Wars too) with, "wym?? With water??? And soap????"

Never ties his boot laces

You will all be gearing up for battle and go to stalk and stealth kill monsters and right before u get up on them u always have to look over at Sky's shoes and whisper at him to tie them

Is the most likely to plant face first into the ground or trip and fall on his ass from shoes untying

He just didnt need to with being in the clouds on his Loftwing all the time back on Skyloft and so he never rlly adapted to that even on the surface lol

He's also just miserable at doing a decent knot so you've taken to teaching him repeatedly how to tie them-

why didnt the knight academy help with this at all actually??

Loses his tools constantly

Well not really "lose" so much as "slightly misplace"

It drives him crazy, the Minish used to help him with it back in his Hyrule so he got out of the habit of putting things back where they belong

You've gotten to the point where you'll glance over wherever he's working so the next time he comes up to u complaining abt a lost hammer or smth u immediately just "should be over by the fire"

And ur right, 99.9% of the time its so funny

When he came to "protect" her, he said, "Those two would be so sad if you died," so he's not including himself. I'm so confused.

in school and life, some would say you have everything good for you. You had friends, you were likable, funny, pretty and much

more. To you, it was quite the opposite. No matter who liked you and who you liked back, none of those people's opinions seemed to matter as much as your neighbor and classmate, hwang hyunjin's did.

Back then and now, Hyunjin was quite popular in any setting he stood in, even catching the eyes of you as a young child, one that didn't seem to care for much other than their toys and favorite television shows that were scheduled at the same time each day.

He was your first crush, first love even and everyone could tell which caused them to always tease you both. Hyunjin, who was quite young at the time found discomfort in your affection and always openly was rude to it.

"boys are rude when they like you, its how they express themselves" was a line you've heard multiple times on repeat, deluding yourself into believing it was true and continuing to be very affectionate always- well at least until he finally blew.

You both sat on a bench whilst in middle school, in silence you enjoyed, silence that was uncomfortable to him which caused him to finally speak.

"why do you keep following me?" he asked, causing you to smile that he actually started speaking to you, and he was the one who took initiative.

"mmm, 'dunno I just thought maybe you'd need some company?" your big smile irritated him. why were you smiling? what was there to smile about?

He had a stare that bored into your soul as he sighed loudly and rolled his eyes, causing you to jump, smile faltering.

"I don't want you around me, you're weird" it was a mood killer indeed as you could feel your face warming and heart beating faster as you felt embarrassed.

You couldn't find yourself to be able to muster up words so you just stood up and slowly walked away, a despairing look on you face which hyunjin tried not to see.

It was high school now and for hyunjin, you'd been long forgotten only sometimes creeping in his thoughts late night but never very prominent for you to have been his roman empire.

It was announced there'd be a new student, y/n l/n. the name sounded familiar, it only clicked as he watched you walk into the classroom, smile on your face.

It was you.

Hyunjin's eyes widened as Jisung gave his shoulder a small hit. "isn't that the same one who had a huge crush on you? woahh they're gorgeous. I guess getting rid of stress really does make you beautiful" Hyunjin side eyed Jisung for the joke, rolling his eyes but he couldn't deny the fact that you had really gotten prettier, if that had even been possible

His eyes fell back onto you as yours fell onto his. He could tell you remembered him by the way your eyes slowly widened a little before you shifted your gaze and continued to smile.

Your seat had been placed just behind his so you'd been forced to have to come in close contact with him, causing him to turn to where you had just sat down, slightly waving.

In response to his wave, you'd just sighed and looked away. Ouch even Jisung could feel that burn as Hyunjin stared dumbfounded.

Before, if he even seemed to be looking your way you'd be ecstatic but now, it seems as if you felt the same way to him as he did to you all those years ago.

"they're not still hurt about it, are they?" Jeongin asked, scrunching his nose a bit.

"still? I mean you don't just forget it when your first crush basically humiliates you because you're kind to them" Jisung says, leaning back into his chair, his arms crossed over his chest.

Hyunjin thinks for a second, becoming defensive. "I wasn't trying to humiliate them, I was just -" his voice trails off as he tries to find an excuse, ultimately failing.

Jisung laughs and shakes his head. "It doesn't matter anyways, it's not like you wanna talk to them anyways"

yeah he didn't so why would this matter?

Overtime, Hyunjin found himself constantly staring at you, reminiscent of the times in which you'd come up to him with bottles of water or yogurt or just anything you'd like to share; those memories now being made with someone else in your class, lee felix.

Hyunjin wouldn't admit he felt jealous that you were giving all of your attention to someone else, attention that should be for him. You were basically his, so why were you giving that loving smile to felix instead of him?

Hyunjin couldn't say or pinpoint how or why he felt like this, especially since he remembers how he so rudely pushed you away back then but he felt the opportunity to clear his mind. And what better way than going to the upcoming party hosted by Chan, the school's biggest party host, and a close friend to both Felix and jisung.

Hyunjin wasn't much sure what he should expect from a party so big and he wasn't much surprised once he saw that you were there with felix, again.

He felt his jaw clench once he saw you there, once again smiling and it wasn't for him.

why does he feel like this?

time passed on as the party began to die down and then rage again at every switch of a song and he began to feel a bit nauseous and decided to make his way outside onto the patio to which he saw you by yourself, enjoying the peace.

He grew quiet, standing still as he watched you. And maybe he was a bit too intoxicated, maybe that's what caused him to open his mouth to speak.

"why aren't you with felix?" You flinched , turning back as you hadn't expected anyone else to be out on the patio with you.

"What?" you heard what he said you just needed a few seconds to process.

"Felix. Why aren't you with him? Weren't you just following him?" His tone was a little harsh. it shouldn't have been, why did he care?

"I wasn't following him."

"You were like his shadow."

you furrowed your eyebrows, scoffing and shaking your head. "You seem to be obsessed with the whole following trope, very good to see you've never changed." You roll your eyes as he sighs

"I'm not obsessed with anything but if you're going to follow someone it should be me." he blurts out causing you to back track

Your eyebrows were furrowed in question as he spoke again.

"It's not fair that you're punishing me for something I said when I was a stupid kid."

"punishing you? I think it's not fair that you expect me to be friendly to you after you couldn't have the decency to apologize once."

"Maybe i'd apologize if you would stop hanging out with him."

"What does he have to do with this"

"I don't know." His voice is soft as his head hangs low, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he walks closer to where you stand at the railing.

You look at him concerned, resting your forearms on the wooden railing as you glance at him.

"What's going on?" you ask as he also rests his forearms on the railing, looking down.

"I don't know... I don't know what's happening... I feel so weird." His gaze is stuck on the grass below strong enough to maybe cause a forest fire.

"What do you feel like?"

"I know, I know I was mean to you and that I told you I never wanted to see you again but I can't help but want to see you again. It's not fair that Felix gets the special treatment from you, the special treatment I want" It was shocking to both of you how bold he'd been as he ranted, a small smile dancing on your lips as he continued to compliment you and spoke about how he was wrong for not accepting your advances.

"I'm sorry. I took you for granted and I shouldn't have." He's looking at you now, eyes sincere and broken.

"I want you to like me, y/n." He says and you can't help the smile that forms on your face.

"Because I like you."

You look away, clearing your throat as he tilts his head trying to get a better look at your face.

"Well..." His eyes become hopeful, meeting yours.

"I like you of course; I always have. It's just I don't think we know each other that much and of course, i'd like to get to know you better if you would as well..."

He nods, a smile on his face.

“What are you buying?” He asks, looking at the book in your hand. He scoffs as he looks at it.

You eye him down hearing his scoff. “I’ll let you know Pride and Prejudice is an amazing book.”

You look at him curiously as his eyes move from the book to you.

“You remind me of Elizabeth. Hot-headed and always thinks you’re right. Oh and your quips, you think your so smart huh?” Suguru says, hands in his pockets as he stares you down. What was he saying? Satoru told him to be nice and confess his ever so obvious ‘feelings’ for you but he didn’t understand. What feelings were Satoru talking about? The feeling of his stomach turning every time he saw you? How he craved to be near you, to see what you were doing. To see you walk around in your own world?

“Oh? You remind me of Darcy, prideful, tact and socially inept.” You say, finger pressing on his chest.

He laughs.

“You wish I was the Darcy to your Elizabeth.” I wish it too.

You huff, crossing your arms. It drove him crazy how you looked. Your clothes matching his. He stares at you, observing the way your hair parted and how your lips were sewed tightly into a frown. It was cute.

To the untrained eye, you would’ve looked like a couple in a small argument. In your eyes, you wished he was your boyfriend and having a small argument. Yet, you knew it was probably never happening.

“Whatever…” You blow him off, trudging off to the counter to pay for your book, Suguru following closely behind you.

“Just this please.” You say to the lady at the counter, old in age. She smiles at you, her wrinkles becoming more prominent. She takes the book, smiling as she looks at you and Suguru who stands behind you, glued to his phone.

“You and your boyfriend are cute, I saw you both squabbling over there and I couldn’t help but remember my late husband. We were just like you, always arguing.”

The woman didn’t take her eyes off the book as she talks, your face turns red as you bit your lip, unsure of what to say. You turn back to see Suguru, a small smile etched on his face as he looks at the old woman. His eyes glance at you. His smile drops before he clears his throat.

“Oh, we’re… we’re not a thing, we’re just…friends.”

Suguru feigns a smile as he talks to the woman. She smiles back.

Friends. Friends. Friends. The word replays in his mind. He wanted to be more than that. He wanted to be more than friends. Why? What was so intriguing about you? You were just some random person! Was he mad? Was he delirious? Had he not felt anyone’s touch for so long he was willing to try it with you? No, if that was true he would’ve gone for Satoru or Shoko. You appealed to him. What was it with you? Did you release a pheromone that attracted him to you? What was he thinking?

“Thank you ma’am.” You smile politely at the woman. She smiles back, sympathy and hope in her eyes. Did she notice your feelings? Seems like everyone noticed except Suguru himself. No, he did notice. He just didn’t want it. That was worse. “Suguru let’s go hunt those idiots down.” You say, punching his shoulder as you walk to the entrance.

You found them in a nearby cafe, by nearby, it was around a 2.5 kilometre walk. Suguru and you talked, smiling. It was the first time you did so in a while. The walk that lasted for roughly 20-30 minutes evolved from tension filled to dumb jokes and quips. Suguru watches as you laugh. He missed this you.

As you saw them through the cafe window, you wave out to them. Shoko smiles at you as she urges you and him to come inside. You nod, going to join them. Yet, a hand stops you before you could make a move.

What was he doing?

“y/n. Can we talk?” Suguru says, his voice low as he pulls you to the side, away from your friends’ sight.

“What’s up?” You scratch your skin, eyes bouncing off the walls before finally landing on his’. His’ that were already staring into yours. You gulp.

“I like you.”

“I like you and it’s stupid and annoying but you’re stuck in my head and i thought it was hate because of how annoying you are and that maybe you’re just an annoying monkey but when Satoru touched you I get tingly and I hate that and…” He rambles on, stopping to look at your face. “Oh my god you’re such an idiot but I goddamn like you?”

You stare at his wide eye, his hand still wrapped around your wrist. He stares back, awaiting an answer. Without a thought, you pull back your hand from his wrist.

“I’m sorry Suguru…”

You ran, ran off to wherever it was as long as he couldn’t find you. Why were you running? You liked him back? Yet, your feet carried you away. Your feelings were about to burst and you didn’t know what to do about it.

‘Run’. Your mind told you.

‘I’ll run.’ Your legs whispered back.

It was like you were just a mere bystander to your body’s conversation. You didn’t know what to do.

So you ran, leaving a broken man behind.

warning: The Hobbit review where I am a hater lmao

I know I'm like a decade late to watching these but:

• Mourning bc we could have gotten Guillermo's version of King Thanduil who wouldve been the ancient and frightful Becoming-the-Forest shadowy, eldritch, eerily mad power-clinging creature we deserved but instead we got Makeup Vlogger Thanduil (which is still so funny to me I'm almost not mad) & jock spray-tanned Legolas. THEY KILLED LEGOLAS AND THEN LET A MEAN JOCK WALK AROUND IN HIS SKIN FOR 3 HOURS.

We could've had scary pagan Green Man Thranduil the ancient being who refuses to give up power so much so that he's being consumed by the (ever-darkening) Forest which he once ruled with magnanimity ... and baby!Legolas struggling with the isolationalism & prejudice he learned from his father's court but we got... That instead.

LMAO proof nothing perfect can last

• also Tauriel? every scene between her and Thranduil should've been between Legolas and Thranduil to flesh out their relationship, instead of sideling him for an unnecessary OC who was put there to fulfill a weird corporate romance tick box, a repetitive and boring romance nonetheless with a subpar stock Strong Female Character.

• The only good thing about the movie was Martin's Bilbo (spot on!!) and the Gandalf/Elrond/Galadriel teamup even tho it was a little infected with the Avengers-y virus for me, they're all just such good actors I could watch them sleep and I'd be like... Oscar.

• I also hated Bard (they shouldve cut Tauriel and genderbent Bard or a couple of the dwarves if they wanted to add women) and I hated the design for Smaug & the Trolls. No creativity there at all.

• The film had zero regard for tone and went for pseudoLOTR instead. Where was the fairytale-esque children's tale of growing up and leaving one's comfort zone and discovering the big, sometimes terrible, world? Where was the almost Winnie-the-Pooh shine which covered the Through The Looking Glass maze?

• Also, I hated Thorin (why did they make him Discount Aragorn?) and none of the Dwarves had ANY development... wtf? They were Dollar Store Fellowship.

• I cannot for the LIFE OF ME understand why they put BILBO in the "Emotional Supporter" role for Thorin LMAOOOO... what??? Anyway, I support all the Bagginshield shippers because everything should be, and is, gay. No issue there.

That's my review, overall I was deeply surprised how bad it was and it makes me leery about The Hunt For Gollum, because shockingly Jackson&Co are 1 for 2 in regards to triologies right now and the odds of it being quality are split.

IMO I genuinely feel like The Hobbit should be remade by another team, that's how off it was.

You and Wilbur had plenty in common, similar interests, habits—even similar functions of your brain. One thing that was the most similar, was your love for music and playing music. It was a common occurrence for the both of you to simply just be next to each other, playing whatever riff or song that came to mind for hours. Wilbur humming lyrics incoherently, but he knows exactly what they are and somehow, so do you.

His face would contort in this concentration, eyes shut and mouth smiling as he would listen to the sounds of the music. It was peaceful to be here, it was peaceful to watch him. And you came to the conclusion that this is what domestic bliss must be like. Watching your lover enjoy something he loves, see the smile curve up on his lips as he throws himself into the lake of passion. Butterflies would flutter and erupt in your heart escaping the confines of the muscle and into your chest.

These moments of calm felt like home, like safety. That's something you knew, something you felt.

Today was no different, it was quiet and dark. A storm had been passing over for a few days, sheets of rain falling from the sky and hitting the roof over and over. Thunder and lightning erupting in an anger only a god could muster. And sure, it spooked you, you'd jump at every sound and your heart raced in panic. It had been going on for a few days, and Wilbur decided to drown out the sounds. 

He grabbed his favorite guitar, the greenish blue one he liked to call teal but you liked to call seafoam. And he sat on the bed opposite you, beginning the usual habit of strumming a tune, but this time to comfort you and him too.

It wasn't long after he started playing that you joined in too, grabbing your own guitar and playing along. You watched as his fingers danced on the fretboard, moving to each different chord and note while his other hand plucked at the strings as he bounces his head in joy. It was nice to watch him so in tune with the music, so in love with it.

You played along with him and then he switched to playing Call Me What You Like. Your face fell and you stumbled over chords as you tried to play along with him, but failing.

Wilbur looks up from his guitar at you, eyes boring into yours through the stray curls on his forehead that dip down over his eyes. His lips curve up into a soft but mischievous smile, "You alright there, darlin?"

You pull your lips into a thin line, looking down at his guitar and then at yours, "You only taught me the beginning, I can't play along," You frown slightly as you do your best to scour your memory for what the chords looked like and what strings he plucked.

He chuckled lightly and put his guitar flat down on the bed, near the pillows and he scooted closer to you, "Then let me show you," He grabbed your hand gently and moved it lower on the fretboard, by the eighth fret. He moves your fingers to the right strings, "Now strum down," He smiles when the note rings out, nearly perfect and your face erupts into a mirrored smile. "There you go, love," He smiles, moving your fingers to the next chord, and nods, signaling for you to strum again. A different tone of sound rings out, but this time it sounds broken and you cringe.

"Ouch," You chuckle shyly, trying again and Wilbur looks down at you with a soft gaze. You strum down again and this time it sounds much better, and closer to what the song sounds like.

"Good job, love," Wilbur's smile is steady and only grows in size, his eyes shining with love and care.

This continues for a while until you can play the entire song on your own. Wilbur grabs his guitar and holds it back into his arms, going back to playing yet again. The two of you continue playing various riffs and songs you both know, for a good while. Occasionally your eyes would glance up at him, watching him as he played. His eyes were now open, glinting with love and his mouth curved into a soft grin. 

He mumbled the lyrics and as he did so, he'd glance up at you. He'd smile when a particular line came up, I'll go through every doorway and doorframe you see suitable for us to go through, he'd smirk and you knew with that stupid line he had intentions of poking at your height. But he didn't and rather continued on through the verses and lyrics, singing softly as he strummed along. You followed with your own strumming, adding to the calming noise that nearly drowned out the sounds of the storm. Calmness washed over you when you realized you had forgotten about the storm in its entirety. You suppose Wilbur deserves more credit than he's given, he's good at this. At calming you and helping you. 

The storms quieted down not long after, but you both continued playing. His attention was locked on his guitar and every movement of the chords, but yours kept deterring from the music, and the guitar held in your hands, and your eyes locked on him. It baffled you how someone could be as pretty as him, as perfect as him.

He was perfect with how his hair falls over his eyes when he looks down, how he smiles so soft and small, and how he breathes a laugh when he fucks up whilst playing. It was beautiful to you, serene to see him in such a domestic setting.

He looked huggable—kissable.

You waited for a moment to catch him off guard, the gears in your head turning as you watched him continue playing, moving on to a different song. He hummed instead of quietly singing, and you put down the guitar on your lap. You watched him for a few moments, and he glances up briefly, just enough to give you a sly smile before readjusting his eyes to land on his own guitar.

You waited for a moment where he looked up while playing and you were quick with your movements, grabbing onto his collar gently and pulling him down to meet your lips to his. A screech could be heard from the strings of the guitar along with a squeak from him. His eyebrows went up in shock for a moment before his face relaxed. He let his hands fall to your waist as your lips connected with his, soft and sweet. He chuckled against your mouth, smiling and pulling away a moment later. Your hands still grasped his collar as you looked up. Wilbur's face was tinted pink, and he set his guitar aside before pulling you closer. 

A smirk curved upon his lips and he chuckled again, "You should do that more often, maybe on stage?" His head dipped down close to yours, and a kiss pressed to your cheek.

"Wilbur!" You smacked his shoulder and your face turned a dark shade of red, your lover laughing lightly at the sight.

"What? You should! That'd be a great clip, don't you think?" He's cocky with his delivery and he sighs as he lets his forehead fall to rest on your shoulder. Wilbur's hands rest on your sides and he pulls you closer and onto his lap.

"You're horrible," You grumble to him, hiding your face in the crook of his neck, and your arms snake around his back.

"You didn't say it was a bad idea," He presses a soft kiss to your jaw, pulling back from where his head rested on your shoulder. He reaches up to hold your face in his hands, thumbs running over the soft skin of your cheeks. You hum and melt into his touch and his eyes sparkle with love as he watches you, your eyes closing and your hands resting on top of his.

"I didn't say it was a good idea, either," 

"I still think it should be on the table," Wilbur counters, pulling your face closer to his and he places a gentle kiss on your forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment. His breath fans over your face, past your eyes and it tickles you. A giggle falls past your lips and you can't help but let a soft smile curve on your features.

"How about…no," You pause, and your eyes glance up to meet his, and your soft smile turns into a smirk, "Ask one of your bandmates to kiss you instead," 

He's taken aback for a moment, pulling away from leaning his head on yours and he looks down at you. His mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water and then he shuts it closed a final time, mouth forming a thin line. He doesn't answer you and so you giggle.

"That isn't a no either!" You wrap your arms around his neck and he brings you in for another kiss, this one less rushed and slower than before and you pull back, "You'd kiss Ash, wouldn't you?"

"I didn't say anything so you can't incriminate me!" He nuzzles his face into your neck again, arms wrapping tightly around your middle and he grumbles at you.

"I'd kiss him too," You press a kiss to the top of his head and the only response you get from him is another grumble.

He pulls away again, and looks down at you, eyes boring into yours with an uncanny seriousness to them, "Who wouldn't?"

"Mm, an insane person," A peck to his lips.

"Correct!" He chuckles and pulls you back against him, before falling back onto the bed with you in his arms, "How are you feeling now?"

"Much better," You mumble against him as you nuzzle your face into his chest, your arms wrapping around his middle as his hands find their way to rub circles on your back.

"Is my amazing guitar playing the reason?" Despite not being able to see his face, you can still hear the smirk through his words.

"Fuck you," You smack his chest playfully.

"Hey!" He giggles, "I'll tickle you!" 

"Nooo! What a horrible punishment! Aaaah!" You giggle through the entire string of words, your tone so painfully sarcastic and playful, but you sneak out of his grasp before he can even think of tickling you. You jump off the bed and run out the door into the hallway. 

"Hey! No fair!" He yells after you, making grabby hands as he follows you through the hall and down the stairs, "I'm gonna get ya!" You both giggle as he follows you, the house isn't big enough to get out of his reach and so you go through the living room and through the backdoor.

"You'll never catch me!" You jump down the stairs and through the yard, avoiding any puddle the storm left behind.

"I'd like to see you try!" You're both out of breath by now, giggling and laughing as you run around the yard. 

You find your way to the trampoline stuffed in the back corner of the yard. Two 20-somethings don't need a trampoline, really but it was in your childhood home and your niece and nephew really liked it. So you and Wil kept it and sometimes used it yourselves. get your head out of the gutter, you jumped on it like little children, it was fun!

You hopped up on it, and Wil was quick to follow, hopping on and plopping next to you. His hands found purchase at your sides and tickled, you bent over giggling, holding your stomach as you swatted at his hands. 

"Stop!!" You let out through giggles, and you were somehow able to get your own fingers on his neck, tickling him back which made him retract immediately.

"Hey! No fair!" He was giggling and managed to pry your hands off his neck and you took the opportunity to jump up out of his reach before he could process and tickle you again.

"It's entirely fair, Wilbur!" You giggled as he too got up and stood on the trampoline.

"Nope," He jumped forward towards you, gently and grasped onto your sides, pulling you down onto the trampoline with him. You squealed at him and tried to wiggle out of his grasp before he could tickle you again.

"Wiiiill!!" He wrapped his arms around your middle, pulling you closer as you both giggled, not yet noticing how the wet trampoline has dampened either of your clothes.

"Whaaaaat?" Wilbur smiled as he did his best to breathe normally again, giggles not interrupting it anymore.

Your own giggles waivered out, and you turned your head on its side to look at him. You reached your hands out to grasp his face, "I love you."

His cheeks are dusted a light pink and his smile becomes soft, he leans up to kiss your nose and then he pulls back, "I love you too," He chuckles as he looks around, "Our clothes are wet now."

"Oh, I know. I was just ignoring it," You shrugged and kissed his forehead.

"Alright, whatever," He chuckles as he nuzzles his head against your chest, and you run your fingers through his hair. His hands snake up underneath you, onto your back and you both lay there silently, the only sounds are of nature and your breathing.

You both lay there on the trampoline, in domestic bliss before the rain begins pelting down again. It was nice while it lasted, and you both hurried inside to get warm and dry off. But you both gazed at each other and without saying anything, you both agreed that it was worth getting soaked if it meant you got to hold each other.

PERCY JACKSON TV SHOW REVIEW

(SPOILER ALERT! I Did Not Like It)

It has been 16 long years since I first picked up The Lightning Thief, and once again...I am faced with an adaption of one of my favorite books that is so painfully disappointing. And now that the tv show is completely out, it's time to purge the collection of thoughts I compiled on it:

Starting on one of the (few) positives, the cast was incredible. I know for a FACT that they are all wonderfully talented individuals, and I aim all of my gripes with their acting at the directors and writers.

So much telling. So little showing. Stop explaining the plot and the mythology to me. SHOW it to me. Explain later only when necessary.

And yet, some things weren't explained at all! I know, as someone who read the books, what blue food means to Sally and Percy. But the show never explains its significance. To the unknowing watcher, it's just a weird quirk, not a small rebellion between a woman and her kid against the life they're stuck in. It baffles me what the writers chose to over explain versus under explain. There's no clear reason for either behavior, and it permeates the writing in a bad way.

There's also a lot of the kids just being dragged from point A to point B by an outside force, rather than their own actions. They never really felt alone or even in danger on their quest, because gods kept showing up to help them along. I did not like that.

These kids aren't allowed to be kids. I stg you could make them teens or young adults and the dialogue/their actions would be the same. That's not good.

Why do they always have all of the information!!!?? They immediately know it's Medusa. Echidna introduces herself and they immediately know who she is and that it's a Chimera in her bag. They immediately know what the Lotus casino is. Why? It makes the stakes feel so low, rather than the mad dash scramble in the books that happens a lot when characters have to remember the myths and how to beat a monster mid-fight. And it makes all these scenarios so boring!!!

Also so many of the fight/chase scenes were boring or anticlimactic. The only good ones I can think of were in the first two episodes, and then one with Ares. Someone actually slipped in some good choreo in those few fights, but completely forgot to add it in to....the rest of the show....

There's very little about the show that feels magical. CG is used, obviously, but at times it feels like they should've gone further with it, or used it even more, and they just....didn't. The visuals end up feeling clunky and not very cohesive, with zero whimsy. Hate to make this comparison, but the Harry Potter movies were VERY good at showing the lines between the magical world and the muggle world, and the tension that occurs when the two interact. There is....none of that in the PJO series. Zip. Zero. And the mythological CG that is there is more often than not static or boring.

Break for a positive! I actually really liked that Percy was learning mythology from Mythomagic. The show wasn't really consistent on that point - saying it was his mom instead most of the time - but that was such a fun and clever way to work in the card game and make it plot-relevant. As someone with ADHD, I can confirm I would also learn mythology WAY better if it was for my favorite game.

Ok back to the negatives - Wtf is up with the portrayal of the gods? For one, they're boring to look at. Nothing about their designs makes them feel 'godly' and while that's ok with some gods (Hermes for one, tho I have issues with his weird beige sweat suit look) why is Ares just some regular ass biker dude? Where are the flaming eyes?? And radical skin-leather bike?? He couldn't even have a CUSTOM bike with red bloody paint and boar heads and chain link handles or something???

And the gods are way too fucking nice. Sorry. I don't have an issue with Hermes being nice but. Ares having a heart-to-heart with Grover? When his presence is supposed to stir everyone up into a rage? And Hephaestus sees Annabeth refuse to give up on her friend and just goes 'awww, ok, you and Percy can go, and take my rival's shield back to him too cause I'm just so nice.' Sorry, no. I'm fine with gods being helpful - Hephaestus helps (reluctantly) in the later books. But it was at a price! A favor for a favor! Not a 'get out of jail free' card just because he was moved by normal ass human compassion!!

Hades gets his own bullet point because who the fuck was that. As a child of Hades, I'm offended that this sweet fruity guy just wanders up and goes 'hey, how's it going, wanna snack?' like, that is NOT my dad. My dad had skeleton soldiers filling his halls and a garden of jewels and a voice so loud it rattled the whole Underworld. Whoever that was in the show was a pathetic imitation.

The point of the first series is to work up to Percy throwing it in the gods' faces how awful and neglectful they've been of demigods and specifically their own children. Demanding that they do better. But if they're already showing compassion and 'humanity' in the context of the first book/first season of the tv show....Percy starts running out of ammo against the gods. There's no coherent story progression where Percy spends years seeing the worst of the gods and the best of them at very distinct, important times of his life and his story. It no longer feels like a massive change they have to make in the system, something that deserves a godly favor for Percy to demand of them. Luke no longer feels like his fury at the gods is wholly justified. The whole series begins to crumble because the gods already have a good reason for being how they are, rather than being thoroughly selfish assholes who only dote on demigods when they do something really cool. And the exceptions are presented at intelligent moments that prove to Percy when he most needs it that the gods can be better, they just need a forceful push to get there.

That being said, where was Percy getting the info that the other gods were feeling scared and abused by Zeus? I love the balls on this kid, but like...when did he make these assumptions and why? That whole scene felt really unearned.

Also Olympus was BORING. And EMPTY. And DARK. It looked like we were just back in the Underworld. Which. The Underworld was fucking boring too. Some neat visuals, sure, but put that in some high fantasy show. Not this one.

One last positive before my final point - there were some pretty good jokes scattered around. Not nearly enough, but I did really enjoy the Dionysus introduction and a handful of lines from Percy. Also releasing the animals in Vegas - Grover being like 'oh, you were worried about the humans' got me good.

The final word that kept spinning through my head after finishing episode 8 was: Pathetic. Luke's betrayal was pathetic. No deadly scorpion. No commitment to that period of time in the books we were convinced he really was evil. And Gabe just stumbling on the package with Medusa's head in it? PATHETIC. Percy outright asked his mom if she was being abused in the book, and she took fate into her own hands to statue-ify that bastard. But no. The show was through-and-through just a pathetic, watered-down version of an incredibly fun, emotional, brutal, exciting series of books. I know there was a lot of heart behind this production, but I did not feel it at all. But what else should I have expected from modern Disney?

I think Yuri would be around the top, even more if he was so into the moment that he called Mc (or his partner, yey multishipping) "mamma" or something. Dude would be pulling the surprise lobotomy on the table (or bed).

Ren also gives me the vibes of having it bad. Like, dude would be having a full on monologue of "How did he behave in such an ooc way, this didn't happen, yada yada". So like, good luck dealing with him(?).

Romeo... I think it would depend (Yet I wanna add him cuz I love him <3 so let me delulu myself). I like headcanning (is that a word? I forgot how headcannon was used as a verb lmao) him as a bottom, so I like to think that he would be embarassed as fuck of having acted submissive. He is the proud owner of the casino, his name terrifies any student of the Sinostra house, and several from another houses, he did not whimper like a common horny off-brand idiot, and no, he didn't cry. Ah, you say he looked beautiful? Well, maaaybe he did then.

Hello! I mean I think it'd depend a lot on like. What kind of sex they were having and why and with who lmao LIKE YOU CAN'T HAVE POST NUT CLARITY IF IT WAS SOMETHING YOU'D DO REGARDLESS RIGHT?

Jin probably wouldn't get into a sexual situation he wasn't particularly into in the first place. He kinda gets post nut clarity in that once he's done there's a good chance he doesn't wanna be around the person anymore and tells them to leave lmao. Of course if it's a beloved partner or someone he trusts he's. . .a little clingier.

Tohma similarly wouldn't be in a situation where he regrets his sexual choices I think.

Kaito's post nut experience is entirely euphoric. Mostly because the guy probably wouldn't end up in a one night stand or something where he'd be questioning his life choices. Any clarity is in the moment, directly before, or hours afterwards, and it's usually questioning his relationship status or sexuality.

Luca also would be very sure about his sexual interactions and what they are and their meaning. No post nut clarity, but he's very attentive after the fact. You'll get aftercare after the most vanilla sex with him. (Which, realistically, isn't a bad thing!)

Alan might have some in the form of realizing how dangerous that interaction could have been. He'd probably check on his partner just to be sure nothing went wrong that he didn't realize. He'd feel bad about being reckless and possibly careless until he's sure his partner's alright.

Leo is a lot like Jin in this way in that he wouldn't be in a situation where he slept with someone he wasn't sure about in the first place, even as a fling. If he wasn't into it he'd stop everything midfuck. Also like Jin the closest he gets to post nut clarity is probably "okay, we're done, get out" with someone he's not so close to lmao. Everyone else gets post-fuck bathtime. May or may not result in more sex.

Sho is a bit of a player(you think Leo's the slut but it's not! It's Sho!) but he's pretty good about figuring out who he is and isn't gonna regret a night with. Sometimes post nut clarity with Leo because he gets a little caught up in Leo--but it's not a bad post nut clarity, it's a "everything about that was great it was just stupid/extreme and i wouldn't've done it with most anyone else" post nut clariry

Haru's post nut clarity is 100% oh my god i have so much work to do i should not have done that jdbdudidn. That or "this is what life is about and i work way too hard". Like, he goes back to overworking anyway because he needs to make sure none of the animals die and it's his responsibility and all but he bounces between 'that was amazing and also took up so much valuable work time' and 'wtf am i doing i could be doing this way more if i wasn't working myself so hard'

Towa has no concept of post nut clarity. Towa gets post nut infatuation in which he is instantly in love with whoever just made him come, if he wasn't already. May or may not be temporary.

Ren. . .I think Ren would have a high chance kf being in shock and wondering how the hell he got here and let himself be in this situation. Even if he's in a relationship. Like, sex is a lot of work to start with. Being convinced into having sex or getting seduced. . .like, the likelihood that he'd bring it up himself is kinda slim. It just goes against everything relating himself he's used to--he's not angry or anything, he's just. . .confused. He knows himself, he's a total tsundere, he hates being around people, how did he somehow get laid anyway???? He plays the events back in his head and it makes sense but he's still confused. No, wait, don't leave he's just. . .pulling himself together. All sex, even in a relationship, will end like this for a while until he comes to terms with it and starts to sleep it off because a lot of effort and feelings happened just then okay he needs a nap. He is the worst about it for a while, I agree. He's just not used to putting in that kind of work and there being an actual payout, or feeling so many good things at once.

Taiga wouldn't have post nut clarity. He knows what he did. However if he hadn't eaten enough beforehand he might have post-nut brainfog and wander off in a daze to find food, barely putting his pants back on in the process. Otherwise? If anyone's getting post nut clarity it's whoever he fucked. Because why did they make this decision? They're probably in a lot of pain and Taiga's just laughing and cheerful and telling them how good it was.

Romeo. . .Romeo's careful about his sexual choices, but he can definitely have some bad post nut clarity if he's not with someone he adores or is really comfortable with. He's sticky and sweaty and smells and it's awful. Was it worth the pleasure? Sure a shower will fix it but ugh his skin. . . . He might feel some embarrassment at having sex with someone 'below' him if felt like he wasn't in control of the situation and wasn't highly attached to them, and he might chew them out if he wasn't totally satisfied or wasn't being treated appropriately(read: worshipped and praised and thanked and apologies for any discomfort or mess) but for the most part I think the worst of it that they would see would be him complaining about being sticky or dirty before he dismisses them from the room. He's a lot calmer with someone he likes I think. And if he adores you well. He'll endure being dirty if it means being close for a little longer.

Ritsu simply would not be having casual sex I think. Casual sex would absolutely be met with post nut clarity and embarrassment. He's got little to no experience and would think it's inappropriate and unprofessional for him to be fucking around and would procure an NDA for them to sign. This never happened.

Subaru would have a ton of post nut clarity simply because along with the sex he got a whole serving of the other person's feelings and memories and he is utterly exhausted. There's so much to go through and unpack mentally and. . .he's drained from his stigma activating and the orgasm. He would have post nut clarity after his post sex nap. And by 'nap' i mean he's asleep for like two hours. Like you cannot fuck him without him conking out right after, i am sorry.

Haku is too casual about sex for post nut clarity. He wanted it if only in the moment, it felt good, what else is there to think about?

Zenji has post nut inspiration. He very well might immediately move away from his partner to start penning up a song or story or something right after he comes. For best results, they should come first.

Ed laughs in the face of post nut clarity. He's 400 years old, please. What is there for him to think about besides whether or not he wants to feed off of whoever he fucked and go another two or three hours.

Rui. . .assuming you can't have sex directly and you're idk masturbating together or using toys he might have a post nut feeling of 'oh i'm kind of touch staved and lonely actually and i don't know if this helped or hurt that feeling'. He'd bottle it up though. No need to see him feeling bad when you did something good right? He has time to process those feelings later, it's not like he'll be sleeping.

Lyca is a very simple guy. It felt good right? Nothing more to think about. No worries to be had unless you had sex in a non-vanilla way, in which case his mind may be a little blown and he might be processing it still. In the moment he's just following instinct--do whatever feels good and seems interesting and makes his partner smell the most pleasured. Afterwards there's more to consider.

Yuri losing control in any situation has him very shaken up and humiliated and panicky unless he trusts the person he was with a lot(and even then he still may need some form of aftercare, he gets flustered over the thought of your exposed back after all--). Not to mention how much time was just spent that could have been spent elsewhere! If he was in control it's not nearly as bad but if he wasn't. . .oh he's freaking out. Oh he's kicking his partner out of the room. "And do not speak of this to anybody!" like he didn't yell it out into the dorm hallway. And then he's gonna freak out a little on his own time. But he might have some sort of drug for that. On the other hand, post nut breakthrough where he immediately abandons his partner to run to the lab because he just had the most amazing idea and he has to go test it out right now--

Jiro. . .yeah, Jiro is another person who doesn't see the point in stressing about this kind of thing. What is there to clarify?

SO YEAH I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH YOU ON REN AND YURI AND MAYBE ROMEO. I think Subaru would too, if he could stay awake long enough--he'd just be feeling so much he'd be an absolute wreck. I feel like Romeo has more room for recovery before any sort of dread or confusion or disgust kicks in--you can divert his attention with compliments and he'll calm down pretty fast. You still might get a gun/knife to the neck and a threat to not speak of what just happened if he was bottoming/subbing though. You were given the great pleasure of pleasuring Romeo Scorpus Lucci, and you will take that 'performance' to your grave. If he so much as catches a whisper of that you talked, some truly awful things will be done to you.

IN SEMI-DEFENSE OF JACKSON <3

Jackson hate is a little forced imo cause he’s really just a teenage boy battling depression and grief and is constantly stressed and anxious about things being out of his control for really no reason. Like you have to remember Jackson has known these people for only a couple of months at this point and they bullied him and Exer made his life shit for a good bit of it 😭 now I love Exer that’s my princess and Jackson has made mistakes but it’s what makes him an interesting and dynamic character, people complain all the time that Jackson is boring and one note but he’s really not if you pay attention to his flaws as character traits and not just “oh Jackson here we go again 🙄”

For just season 3 stuff so far he’s kept 1. leaving therapy a secret from Pam 2. Not telling anyone about the diary and Used the diary to manipulate Exer (both consciously and unconsciously) and 3. Spent time with the reds as a form of getting information and its kinda manipulation tbh so I just wanted to give my 2 cents on it in defense and criticism of Jackson cause he’s paralleling Exer in a lot of ways and it’s unfair that he gets shit on so much when Exer is loved and praised by the fandom (again Exer is my favourite character).

1. Leaving therapy a secret from Pam is not a good thing Jackson is doing, he shouldn’t have kept it from her and he shouldn’t have lied that it wasn’t that big of a deal because a big theme in this comic is that keeping secrets and lying really hurts people and relationships and you need to be open and honest with those you love. That being said it’s a really hard subject that he’s still getting over himself, therapy was a safe space for him where he was finally in control and was heard not just listened to. He’s still getting over this and he could barely even talk to Harry for weeks without feeling horrible so yea it’s a really troubling thing for him to think about. He told the detention kids because sometimes it’s easier to be open with friends who get the situation than your girlfriend who you don’t want to disappoint because she was so happy you were getting better and how do you tell her your world fell apart all over again and you’re scared. I’m not saying this excuses his actions I just think there needs to be a bit more understanding here, Jackson should have told her sooner and tell her that he’s not happy about it but he’s also not ready to talk about it just yet, it’ll be good for him to open up to Pam more instead of trying to keep up an illusion that he’s doing great but it’s a hard thing to shake.

2. Telling anyone about the Diary, especially Exer is not fucking easy at all. Some of you are making it sound like if he just told them everything would go smoothly and well and that he’s the bad guy for keeping it hidden. So go on and tell me how exactly you’d tell the person who bullied you over petty reasons that you might have accidentally manipulated and fabricated their feelings and that you’re the reason he apologized, you’re the reason he got a job and started over, you’re the reason he confessed as is dating his boyfriend and that none of it is real and that you did it all by accident. Because that’s exactly what Jackson thinks he did, while I don’t agree with Jackson’s theory he’s convinced of it himself. For all Jackson knows Exer really is that prick back in season 1 and the only reason he changed is cause he wrote it down. That’s a lot of weight on your shoulders especially the whole romance thing I mean Jackson wholeheartedly thinks he accidentally manipulated Exer into falling in love with someone and that’s a very heavy burden to carry cause wtf do you do with that as a 17 y/o depressed child. Not to mention that the Diary is his therapy journal so that’s his one healthy outlet destroyed and he feels guilty about ever coping using it so that only fuels his self hatred and mental health issues. All of this without mentioning he’s still grieving over his mother who gave him the damn thing and now he can’t even have that once connection he has with her because of course it’s tied to Exer the person who’s made his life so difficult up till now. NOW!! Pause, this does not excuse his actions but it does explain them, Jackson is not in the right here because at the end of the day he does need to talk to Ex about it because, accident or not, he’s manipulating him and he needs to know. It’s actually incredibly interesting how much this parallels to season 1 Exer, Exer who started purposely using his magic to cause harm and then slowly losing control and doing it by accident (all while not telling Jackson he has magic which made it hurt so much more) versus Jackson’s harm being on accident at first but now he’s experimenting and knowingly causing changes to Exer. This is a big flaw of Jackson’s, he wants to understand before he takes action but only in ways that benefit him. He wanted to understand Exer’s magic before he told Pam and now he wants to understand his own before he tells anyone and we all saw how that turned out with Pam and the others in season 1/2 so Jack’s definitely going to learn his lesson. Remember that if Exer got that mad cause he was jealous over petty things how do you think Jackson, who thinks he’s one of the only reason Exer became nice, thinks Exer is gonna react to something as big as this!!

3. This is a bad thing aaallll around and Jackson needs to stop 😭!!! Jackson hanging out with the reds just because he wants to study Exer is not a good thing but it’s an interesting character flaw!! This goes back to what I was saying earlier, he wants to know and understand and will fixate on it so bad he neglects the consequences. Not only is he harming the reds by manipulating them into thinking he cares and is friends with them he’s also really hurting himself. As much as I would love for them all to be friends again, Jackson just isn’t in that headspace right now where he can. He’s so obsessed with the magic and how it’s affected him that he can’t get over the bullying, he can’t get over how Exer used his magic to hurt him, he can’t get over him hurting Pam, he can’t accept the many apologies, he hasn’t even accepted that Exer wasn’t in control all the time. He just can’t move on. He needs to move on and not because what happened wasn’t hurtful and is all in the past now (it’s been like 2 months since Halloween mind you) but because he needs to let go and prioritize himself instead of holding onto all this anger. He’s not just an asshole who can’t get over being bullied (which like even if he was that’s valid to a degree), he’s so obsessed with regaining control of his life and understanding what the fuck is going on that he’s actively choosing to hurt himself to hang out with people he doesn’t like. He doesn’t have to be their friends and he doesn’t have to forgive them, yes they’ve gotten better and yes they’re sorry but tbh if my bullies apologized and everything I would not forgive them and I’d certainly not be friends with them. They just need to go their separate ways until Jackson knows what he wants. But it’s hard. Being 17 and struggling with mental health (IN THE 80s!!) is very very hard and that’s before you even begin with the magic shit so cut him some slack.

Anyways this was so long and rambley I’m sorry, I just don’t love the Jackson hate I see when he and Exer are so similar but he doesn’t get the grace of being adored and pawed at. Do I love Jackson? Not as much as I do Exer but I get him, I get being a teen trying to save myself while everything around me keeps trying to push me down so I respond in anger and I’m so over everyone being so mean to him. • Okay first, I truly believe that Bree has had her squire and kingsmage all along, Nick and Sel. I mean just with the relationships between those three, there is no way it goes any other way.

also, Alice will wake from her coma and have somehow inherited powers from Will as she was LITERALLY breathing his aether signature in. Like I’m not 100% sure how that would work, but we’ve seen it in media before, take Monica Rambeau and Wanda’s hex for an example! Maybe that interaction with magic will awaken Alice's own unique magic too, or maybe it's closely related to Bree again how the Mesmer did too in LB.

Regardless, when she awakens I think bby girl will be given an even more important role in the finale of this series. Maybe like being Will's squire...

• it’s going to come out that not only is shadow daddy, IYKYK not spoiling for potential new readers who have no sense of self-preservation and are reading this anyways, is not only Sel's father but VALECHEZ’s! Like not only would that be pure comedy considering how they were at each other's NECKS in BM, but it makes sense as to why Sel was succumbing to his demonia so fast, faster than others, maybe because a little more demon than others…

•I think this new magic system that Tracy is cooking up is going to tap into Natasia and Faye’s relationship a bit more and even Sel and Bree’s.

I also think it’s going to be the solution to not only Sel’s demonia, but Bree’s bloodmark, and even abatement and all these fucking legendborn oaths. I mean think about the word OATH, practically meaning something one HAS to abide by. Vera took an oath of sorts with the blood mark “one daughter at a time for all time.” The legend born and their oath of service and all this, as I call it, greedy magic which shortens their life spans, the Merlins too! What if, just what if, Faye and Natasia found a way to combine both their forms of magic (root + aether + blood craft) and created something entirely new? Something so potent and powerful, defying these “oaths” or what you could call them, curses, to cure all these things…and what if since Bree is from Faye’s lineage, sel from Natasia, what if they can do it together too.

• I think we will learn more about the Morgaine. More on Nick….hmm. A lot of LB fans keep calling him boring, but with his mom's disappearance, and the fact that Tracy is too good of an author to simply leave his arc hanging, I don't trust it. Maybe he will even go rogue, I'm not too sure ATP, but don't sleep on Nick!

• Lastly for my final predictions…more like a pipe dream. I really, for the life of me, need Bree to pull a Wanda from episodes 8-9 of WandaVision with Shadow Daddy.

We know Bree is smart and clever, this ain’t new! So, I need her to take what she has learned from shadow daddy, and then pull a clean uno reverse, and get out of there! EXPEDITIOUSLY!

Then from there, I need her to find Sel and Nastia (preferably in some cute cabin in the woods, and Natasia needs to be a MILF) this revelation of Bree's survival prompts Natasia to discuss the above ^^^ She and Bree get to work! Sel is now cured and they can get these oaths removed!!! Once these oaths are removed, the REGENTS ARE TOAST, TOR TOO! Then we get to work on Camlann in book 4! Cuz that’s how tf Tracy does it! Period!!

THESE ARE JUST MY PREDICTIONS, NONE OF THESE ARE CANON!! All I have to say is I'm fucking so excited about this book and even though it's still two years out I'm trusting Tracy's expertise to bring us something DE-LI-CIOUS! Also is it too much to ask that if this is adapted for television to have it animated, we know how much Tracy loves and takes influence from anime... it's only fair, and I feel can make for a more accurate and dynamic visual medium.

I was too bored last night and decided to torture myself watching yashajime.

and i thought: well i hate yashajime too much but i dont even remember half of the stuff that happened so why not revisit it

oh man ... it is actually that bad

under the cut my review of the first 3 eps

The first ep is good. Its the animated epilogue of Inuyasha, and you can tell that was written by Rumiko.

The character interactions are beautiful. All of them act accordantly to all the grow and maturity they had at the end of the series, its never a step back on the character development and i appreciate it. Miroku never touches someone else's butt, Inuyasha and Kagome dont get into a stupid fight and they actually talk abt their problems, and over all you can tell everyone has grown up to this point.

i haven't read the manga version of the epilogue so idk if this actually happened (bc i wouldnt be surprised if Sunrise decided to include this just for drama) but there's a lot of mentions of Kikyo and she feels like a hunting ghost all throughout the ep and i personally dont like that they still involve her even after all the time that has pasted since her death. yes she was one of the most important characters and we wouldnt have Inuyasha without her but cant she just rest in peace?

so this becomes a small problem between Inuyasha and Kagome. Inuyasha feels uncomfortable w the mention of her and is scared that Kagome will get mad at him for getting Kikyo involved on this, Kagome feels that Inuyasha is hiding stuff from her and just wants him to trust her a little more. and i think its more than normal that the whole Kikyo situation still a little taboo between them but i rlly liked that none of them felt insecure abt their relationship bc of this

And our favorite married couple resolves this TALKING. THEY USE WORDS AND COMMUNICATE AND SOLVE THE PROBLEM. NO YELLING. NO MAKING EACH OTHER FEEL BAD. NO ABUSE OF THE SIT COMMAND (well there is a sit that is just there to check the box but its not even Kagome yelling at him or anything. it feels more like "alright on the script says 'u have to sit Inuyasha at least once in the ep' so lets just get it done")

Eps 2 and 3 are just the introduction to the protagonist and introduction to the conflicts??? but its more like a bunch of information they r trying to force down ur throat. the only conflict i actually care abt is wtf happened to their parents

on those two eps they introduce us with 8 different conflicts (yes i counted them) not including all the new characters. IN TWO EPS. I SWEAR TO GOD I DIDNT REMEBER HALF OF THAT AT THE END OF THE EP, I HAD TO GO BACK AND WATCH SOME PARTS AGAIN BC IT WAS TOO MUCH

and i get that this series is going to be way shorter than Inuyasha, therefore they need to introduce everything quicker, but Sunrise that was a little too much.

Honestly i would have preferred that they didnt animate the epilogue if that was going to give them more time to present us the characters.

which leads me to my second point THE FUCKING CHARACTES. there is not a single one of them that i like (not even my baby girl Moroha)

Towa: I have the most problems with her. U are telling me that she is having a hard time in the modern era bc she is a hanyo and she is always getting into fights, fights that she is actively picking on, and she cant use her powers. but those problems (im sorry if this sounds bad) look like nothing to me. She is the one getting in trouble and she decides to get into those fights. its not like Inuyasha where we see him being bullied for doing nothing, just bc he looked and was different. and this is something that also bothers me, i dont see a reason why towa would get bullied theres nothing on her appearance that would indicate she is not human. no ear no nothing different, the white hair will just make her one of the cool kids.

Now her powers, OH MY FUCKING GOD SUNRISE WTF IS WRONG W U

u r telling me that she never had the necessity to actually use her powers and all that she did was jump fences and punch bad guys AND SHE IS ABLE TO CREATE A SWORD OF HER OWN USING HER YOUKAI ENERGY ?!?!?!

yes she is the daughter of the great lord Sesshomaru but NOT EVEN HIM WAS ABLE TO DO THAT UNTIL THE END OF THE SERIES. HE GETS BAKUSAIGA AFTER CENTURIES OF USING HIS POWERS AND TOWA WHO ONLY JUMPED FENCES CAN DO IT. not even Setsuna who has an actual training and does use her powers can do that.

Setsuna: she is just a copy paste of Sesshomaru, she doesnt have her own personality.

Moroha: Sunrise writers asked chat gpt "inuyasha's personality" and they got something like "inmature, impulsive, cocky" and just went w it but up to 100.

Yes Sunrise even though she is covered in red from head to toe i can definitely tell that she is Inuyasha's daughter no need to make her "female Inuyasha". Her entire personality is "more immature and childish Inuyasha", yes Inuyasha was immature and could be childish from time to time BUT NOT LIKE THIS. and not even the argument of " well she is younger and probably Inuyasha was like this when he was her age" can be used bc she is 14 and when Inuyasha was sealed to the tree he was 15. she grew up alone, in the Sengoku period where there was constante wars all the time, and she could even relate to the hanyos AND SHE IS THIS STUPID

Moroha is way better in the fanfics

Mei is insufferable, and u seriously r trying to convince my that Hisui and Kohaku dont know who Moroha and Setsuna r?

the only good things were the music, Kaoru Wada is simply a genius, and the character design which is pretty good.

Let me just say it, jkr is brilliant at writing friendships and individual characters but absolute shit at writing romance. None of the main ships were well written, the side ones were much better, though probably because we don't have enough info for them to be ruined

Ships I like :

Bill and Fleur - 💯💯💯 second best ship in the books imo

Molly and Arthur - for some reason the fandom hates this ship. U need to be a solid team to pull off a family of 7 kids ( especially with 6 boys). They also clearly love each other, they even call each other cute nicknames. What's not to like?

Dumbledore and Grindelwald - this is going to bring me hate, but they're my fav couple in the whole series. I don't need a couple to be morally good to appreciate the pairing. Probably the only well written one because they're both fleshed out as characters. Their relationship only makes them more complex and interesting than they already are.

Ships I dislike :

Harry and Ginny - The protagonist's love story was a disappointment. Ginny could have been such an interesting character, instead she was made into the boring 'perfect girl tm' just to become Harry's 'ideal partner'. She's basically made into a female version of james without his flaws being called out. Harry's 'chest monster' was cringe asf, sounded like something tht could hv been picked out of Twilight 😂😂

Ron and Hermione - i like the idea of them, but i don't think it was executed well. That bird attack practically made its appeal non existent for me ( i love Hermione but wtf)

James and Lily - we know a lot about James's character but very little about lily despite the fact that they're both dead before the series starts. James hexing Snape behind Lily's back doesn't set a good precedent, seeing as they get married the very next yr. Lily almost smiling at Snape's underpants being exposed is never addressed when Harry's being critical about james. To me it honestly feels lyk shipping james with a ghost as we know nothing substantial about lily.

PS: I also really appreciate the fact that Sirius was never paired up with anyone. He was far too broken and rebellious and traumatized. He had different priorities and I m so glad his character wasn't forced into one. Single characters for the win, they're such a rarity in fiction

why do you write fanfic?

i love everything about it. i love how immediate it is. i can just click post and people can see it. i love when people tell me their favorite part in the comments. i love having 100% creative control. i love having no deadlines. i love shouting something i'm proud of into the void and then getting a reply from somewhere halfway across the world in a mutual second language. i love building community with strangers over things we both love. it's the best.

which of your posted stories do you think of the most even though the story is "finished"?

probably there's daggers in men's smiles because that one has the biggest piece of my soul in it. i also think of anti-hero a lot but i'm still working on the sequel so I don't count it as "finished".

if you could give yourself fic advice from when you first started writing fic, what would that advice be?

if it's a multi-chapter, get to the 90-95% mark before you start posting. not only does this increase the likelihood of you actually finishing it and ending up with a completed story you're proud of, you'll also end up with a better final product because you can go back and edit earlier chapters once the later chapters are taking form and make the themes more cohesive.

what's your relationship to fic stats?

i like em. i used to track them obsessively when I was younger but honestly i have neither the time nor the motivation for that anymore. but it's nice to see a number and picture actual people. 25 kudos is abstract to me, i don't care about that. but realizing that 25 people looked at a project and went "nice. thanks for letting me read it" is wild to me. makes me really happy.

is there a pairing or scenario or friendship that you miss writing? if so, why? if not, why not?

yes and no. i used to read so much fanfic and write almost none, and now it's pretty much the opposite. so there isn't really a lot of content i'm "no longer writing" because there wasn't much for me to abandon in the first place. steve/bucky was my bread and butter ten years ago (how is the winter soldier ten years old already? wtf?) and i don't really see myself returning there, but i keep finding similar vibes in my newer projects and i'm really happy about that.

what motivates you to write?

i don't know how to stop. it's how i deal with being a person. wish i had a smart inspirational answer but that's what it is. it just happens. if i'm bored or sad or happy or tired or nervous, i write.

why do you write for the fandom(s) you write for?

i haven't fully understood why i write for some of my fandoms but not others. there's a lot of media that i adore and have never written a single word for (hannibal, the x files, ofmd, discworld...). often it's specifically the idea of "this character trait / this dynamic feels underutilized, I want to explore it further". cobra kai is a yarn drawer of messy but compelling character arcs that often go nowhere, and i like untangling the potential of them. star trek is comforting and it's good soil for planting angst, hope and humor plus an ensemble cast.

if you're stuck writing a WIP, what do you do?

work on a different one. i have so many and i'm always obsessed with at least one of them. sooner or later i'll have an idea for one of the older ones and then that's back on the menu again. i never force myself to work on something specific.

what do you wish people knew about comments?

a long unhinged comment is the key to my heart (as @zannolin who tagged me in this knows all too well), but i love each and every one so much. i love comments that are just a chain of emojis, comments that say nothing except 'how dare you', comments that dive into themes and metaphors. i love comments that tell me my fic made them laugh out loud, made them stay up too late, made them tell a non-fandom friend about it. there are so many different types of comments that make up the tapestry of a fun community, so please don't assume that there's a right way to leave a comment and the author will be disappointed or upset if you do it "wrong". i'm always worried my comments are not as funny / intelligent / memorable / observant as other people's comments and i hope i can take that fear away from other readers!

(also i try my best to reply fast but sometimes it takes a bit and i'm sorry! it doesn't mean i don't love your comment!)

maybe there's a question you wish had been on here. what's that question (and answer)? -> what are some writing challenges you're personally looking forward to?

writing more funny miscommunication and seeing how far I can push it. scenes that are set in darkness so I don't rely too much on describing visuals. maybe a mystery one day when i feel up for doing something plot-heavy.

12 i dont hate us*. i liked this one until the timeskip ending, where then everyone and everything just felt really off. the second female lead gets a special mention because i HATED her at first but by the end she was my favorite character <3

11 romance 101.* this was okay. the art style was really cute and i loved the FL. but there never seemed to be any chemistry with the main ship to me, and the plot became really focused on the app/programming club which bored the hell out of me. dropped this one around chap 100

10 shadow bride. nothing bad but nothing particularly noteworthy for me. fluff read.

9 high spirits neoma. im not very far into this webtoon yet, or it'd be higher up the list im sure. im around ch 5 and finding it really charming and i love the color palette for it

8 dreaming freedom/freedom in dreams. although the art style isnt my cup of tea, i really enjoyed this fucked up high school revenge/romance webtoon but where im currently at (ch. 111ish) it's starting to feel a little circular. hoping it goes back to what it does best which is Unsettling Shit

7 my reason to die*. man this would've been in my top 3 but the ending arc is just. really boring??? like i dont want to watch them search for a pot farm for 10 chapters. i havent finished this one yet, but ive been putsing getting back into it ever since post reveal. the drama is very pretty though and the reveal chapters hit me like a truck in a good way

6 operation true love. i borderline hated this webtoon when i first started, but the reviews had me wanting to stick it out and im so glad i did!! around ep 10ish it really finds its footing and just keeps going for it! very kdrama in flavor and endearing FL.

5 unholy blood*. a fun, dark, and nostalgic webtoon about vampires and vampire hunting that brought me back to my tween years in the best way. the character designs are really awesome. it's a little lower on the list because the ending felt a bit rushed, but it's a really solid horror/action comic with a lil romance

4 surviving romance*. this one's complete but i got about 10 chapters left. it's a really fun horror comic (NOT romance, dont be fooled by the title) that reminds me of extraordinary you but if the plot was focused on the metaphysical horror of it a little more. fun characters and relationships. a little lower just because the second "return" arc feels tedious/unneeded so far. we'll see. TEAM RINA.

3 maybe meant to be/fate found by chance. ive found that i tend to gravitate toward darker webtoons, so this is my c-c-combo breaker! cute, funny, quirky, and really endearing. standard contract marriage plot but between two delightful weirdos

2 purple hyacinth. this series is everything. the art is gorgeous, it has its own OST built into the reading. the characters are nuanced and complicated and omg it's a ride and a half so far.

1 olgami/trapped*. INCREDIBLE characters and such an intense look at enemies-to-lovers. the drama starts as a psycho-thriller about gravedigging for a vampire and ends up about two leads who have never learned how to love willing to try it with one another in their fucked-up way. dysfunctional. hot. SO GOOD. the art evolution for this series was great as well
