Queer relationships don’t need to be validated or made canon through a kiss. There’s such a double standard that when characters of the opposite sex are so much as friendly to each other they are now canonically romanticly involved but characters of the same sex/those who are genderless can literally do all sorts of romantic things and straight people will rationalize it to an absurd degree. They will only accept it’s romantic when there is a kiss or an “I love you” (and even then they will find ridiculous ways to say it’s platonic) and that’s unfair and disingenuous to what romantic relationships are. Let characters be in a canonical relationship without the need for explicit physical intimacy.

That being said Eddie and Venom better make out sloppy style in this movie or I swear to god.

It left her questioning everything. Was her best friend really that good of hiding things from her? If Abril hid this relationship from her, what else was she hiding? The knock on the door followed by Abril's voice pulled her back to reality. Aivryn forced herself to stop biting her nails, a bad habit she never seemed to outgrow. considered speaking to Abril without opening the door but her little pink glittered heart couldn't stomach doing it to her best friend. Aiv took a deep breath before cracking the door open slightly. She didn't open it wide enough for Abril to enter, a gesture perhaps rude but justified in Aivryn's mind. Though technically Abril wasn't a cheater but still. "What?" The usual smile on her face was gone, replaced by a stone cold expression.

Sometimes I think Smallville was writing Lex and Clark as enemies masquerading as friends rather than what they should’ve been which is friends who forget to be enemies.

If you’ve ever had a falling out with an old friend, you know that there’s an ache that’s left behind. No matter what happened between you two, you can’t quite forget the happier moments and there’s a not small part of you that wishes you could go back, that wishes that you could have that person you knew back.

I would have loved to see a dynamic between Clark and Lex where sometimes they forget they’re supposed to be enemies. Like sometimes they catch themselves smiling at the other without meaning to. Or they save the other’s life even if they’re mad at them, not because it’s the right thing to do, but because their body still recognizes the other person as one of their best friends and it’s an instinct to protect them at this point. It’s all out of instinct and still knowing the other person even if they’re now technically estranged. And sometimes it’s hard to see the person they used to know. They’re on different sides now and there’s so much history between them it feels like a chasm. But sometimes it’s not hard at all. Sometimes it feels like them against the world again (whether it’s a big bad that they both have to fight back against or it’s a problem that unfortunately only their proclaimed nemesis can fix). They keep getting pulled back together no matter how hard they fight it. No matter how much it hurts to stay in each other’s orbit. This is their true destiny. The words friends and enemies were always too limiting a definition. Like yes they’re doomed, they’re toxic, they make each other worse, yada, yada… but they’d also both rather die than ever fully quit on the person that used to be their best friend.

I wonder what was running through Fadel's head as he turned to look at Style, eyes still squinting against the too-bright morning light, the unfamiliar comfort of the shape of Style's name on his lips for the very first time. I wonder if he was too sleepy to process how strange it was that he didn't really mind being pinned down by the weight of Style's thigh thrown over his hips; that the sensation was grounding and reassuring rather than being confining or suffocating. I wonder if the thought crossed his mind that he wouldn't mind waking up like this again, wouldn't mind letting someone into his space, wouldn't mind giving someone the bared vulnerability of lying naked and unprotected with all the implications of unwavering trust that has -- not if it was with him.

I wonder if Fadel registered the way his heartbeat is steady and calm despite the strange surroundings and unfamiliar bed, because something in him has already labelled the person lying next to him as safe.

I wonder if Fadel even understood that this, right here, in all its quiet and unacknowledged stillness, was the moment he fell in love?
