The floor of the hotel bathroom was cold as Rhea Ripley sat on the tiles, her back pressed against the tub. The dim lighting from the vanity cast a long shadow over her, making Rhea feel even smaller than she already did. The loud sounds of the city outside were muffled by the deafening noises in her head. Voices that screamed and accused.
You betrayed her
You abandoned her
You deserved what he did to you
Her body trembled, the pain of everything forcing Rhea on the edge of insanity. She’d always thought of herself as someone who was strong, who could fight her own battles and always come out on top.
Why, then, had she allowed herself to be turned so easily? Why had she allowed all the noise in her head to win? All it had taken were a few words from him and she’d let the only real thing she’d ever had in her life die.
Maybe that was why she was filled with so much hatred. Not for Liv, not even truly for Edge, but for herself.
In her right hand, Rhea held the cool metal of a blade. She’d been toying with it for the past ten minutes, ever since Damian had announced that he was going down the street to get them food. They’d been sharing a hotel room to lessen the cost, plus being around him had honestly been one of the few things that kept Rhea tethered to reality and lessened the impact the pain had. She’d thought maybe after a few weeks, she’d be okay. That she’d forget about what happened with Edge, that she’d forget about what she did to Liv and be able to move on.
Then he ruined it.
She’d managed to keep her distance from Edge ever since that night, coming up with any excuse she could manage to not be alone with him. It had worked well enough that with Damian distracting her, she could almost forget anything had happened. Forget that there was now a missing piece inside of her.
Then, it all changed that morning. Damian let her know that he wouldn’t be rooming with her the following week because he was going home for a little vacation and his sister was getting married. She couldn’t fault him for that and she accepted that her mental health that week was going to suffer. Then he told her that he’d given up his room spot to Edge for the week and Rhea could’ve crumbled to the ground right then. It had taken every ounce of strength she’d had to smile and nod like everything was okay when inside she was drowning. All the memories of what Edge had done to her came flooding back and she just knew that she wouldn’t survive a week of staying in a hotel with him.
So, that’s when she decided that she was going to take matters into her own hands. She wasn’t going to let him have any more of her. She hadn’t been sure how she would do it, but Damian leaving had given her the perfect opening.
Slowly she brought her trembling hand to her thigh, pressing the cool blade against her skin. She swallowed thickly, slowly putting pressure until she felt the stinging pain of the razor puncturing her skin. Immediately red began to seep from the wound, a stark contrast against her pale skin.
The pain from the blade subsided quickly, replaced by the numbness that originated from her chest, but had quickly taken over her entire body. She carved another mark after, and then another, each one made with the intention of silencing the overwhelming feeling emanating from her chest. She wanted to take control back of something, of everything in her life that she felt had been taken from her.
Edge had stolen from her.
He’d been the one to steal her choices, her will, taken her loyalty and twisted it into something toxic. He’d seen how vulnerable she was, but instead of offering her the help of a veteran that had been in the game for over twenty years, he’d only shackled her deeper in her own misery. His voice had been the one in her ear planting little seeds of doubt that sprouted into vines that threatened to choke the life out of her.
Then, he went even further. He’d touched her when she didn’t want to be touched, whispered words in her ear that had left her skin crawling as he’d taken her. Rhea had told herself it wasn’t real, that the events that replayed in her mind weren’t how things really happened. But no matter how many times she tried to drown it out and wash it away, his hands, his voice, and his control clung to her like a disease, rotting her from the inside out.
She’d tried her best to silence the guilt and justify her actions. Edge had been right, hadn’t he? She was stronger now, a more ruthless person than she had been even a month ago. Judgement Day was a family.
Yet why did she feel like she’d somehow lost herself? Probably because she’d let Liv down in the worst way possible.
Liv’s tear-stained face still haunted her memories. The look of betrayal she’d seen in those eyes, which had once been filled with nothing but love, was sharper than any blade Rhea could’ve brought to her skin. Sometimes, when she laid alone in bed at night, she could still hear the echoes of Liv’s pleading voice as she begged her not to go.
But Rhea had gone. She’d made her choice.
Was it ever really her choice to begin with though?
Her breath hitched, the memories of Liv finally allowing the pain to take over as tears spilled down her cheeks, hot and unrelenting. Her nails curled into her palm, digging into the skin as she tried to keep herself grounded. Her vision had begun to blur and she noticed that her body was starting to feel heavy.
Was it finally time for her to let go?
The emotions overriding her senses didn’t allow her to hear the door open, the sound of Damian returning. She didn’t even register his presence until she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders, trying to pull her from the haze.
“Rhea! Shit - Rhea, what happened? What did you do?”
The heavy feeling in her body had started to become overwhelming, her mind clouded. She barely flinched as Damian dropped down to his knees, his hands moving from her shoulders to her cheeks as his eyes scanned over her with sheer panic. He saw the cuts, the blood that had pooled over her and the floor, her now tear-stained cheeks.
“No, no, no, no, not like this. Rhea, stay with me. Please.” His hands fumbled in his jeans as he pulled out his phone to call 9-1-1. He held his phone between his ear and shoulder, his hands moving to grab a nearby towel as he applied pressure to her wounds, trying to stop the bleeding.
She’d never deserved a friend like him.
Her blurred vision was now becoming black, the darkness starting to swallow her as she faded from consciousness. Before she fell completely, she felt his arm wrap around her, heard his pleading voice and his promises.
“It’s going to be okay, Rhea. You’re not alone. I swear, I won’t let you go through this alone.”

Liv Morgan x Rhea Ripley/Liv 4 Brutality oneshot! I’ve missed writing so much and I’ve been craving this ship again for so long. Forgive me if it seems rushed since it kinda was and I wrote it in like 35 minutes because I wanted to get something out there again😂 dumb smutty fun! Let me know if you enjoyed it!
——————————————————————
Following a loss the the LWO in a tag team match, the entire Judgement Day squad flooded the ring to get immediate payback. Finn, Dom, Carlito, and JD had the numbers game on their side beating down Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde in the ring. It wasn’t until Zelina Vega tried to get involved that made the group realize that someone was missing; Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
When Carlito caught Zelina mid air when she attempted a cross body from the top turnbuckle, the roar of the crowd stopped him in his tracks when the theme music of Rey Mysterio played. And he wasn’t alone. Former Judgement Day member Damien Priest was at his side as the two ran down the ramp to help the LWO even the odds and chase Judgement Day out of the ring. But they weren’t finished by a long shot, the LWO and Damien Priest chased Judgement Day backstage until the two groups were brawling back and forth causing chaos and damage everywhere just as Finn had questioned where Liv was, it was her job to be on the lookout for Damien and warn them ahead of time.
Off to the side around the corner by an exit door with the sign unlit, Liv Morgan’s eyes widened as her back was pressed against the wall as she stared back into the set in front of her. When she heard Finn exclaim to Dom where she was before they were attacked by the LWO, a moan escaped her throat and a hand rose up to cover her mouth. Liv stared back with a mixture of fear and excitement coursing through her body.
Rhea Ripley had Liv pinned up against the wall with one hand covering the blonde’s mouth and the other slipped down the front of her short jean shorts, her fingers rubbing and teasing at her leisure.
“Shhh, you’re not going anywhere.” Rhea smirked. “Got it?” Her smirk grew wider when Liv nodded her head obediently as if she had a choice in the matter. “Good girl.” Rhea expertly pushed Liv’s thong to the side and rewarded Liv by pushing a finger slowly inside of her, feeling the vibration of a hummed moan against her other hand.
Slowly, and Rhea wanted this to fucking burn as slowly as it could, she retracted her finger. A few seconds later, she pushed it back inside. Liv’s legs were already beginning to betray her and her breathing was restricted by Rhea’s other hand.
“Mmmm mmmmphhh.” Liv hummed to her.
“What’s that? Need some air, Livvy?” Liv nodded her head again. “Are you going be stay quiet for me? Because I’ve already started and I’m not planning to stop.” Rhea lowered her hand from Liv’s mouth and gently grabbed her chin, lifting it up as she closed the space between them. She allowed a few seconds for Liv to catch her breath because she was only going to take it away again.
“I’ll stay quiet…” Liv whispered back with a low gasp as Rhea swiped at her clit a few times. “But why-“ Rhea shook her head and pushed two fingers into Liv to keep her from talking and instead choking on her words to keep from making any noise.
“Why? Because I can.” Rhea smirked again and wasted little time to find a pace to her liking that was meant to drive Liv wild. Admittedly to herself, Rhea had some pent up energy she needed to release and, well, Liv had always been at the top of her list to help with it. “And because I know how fucking much you want this. Tell me I’m wrong. Hmm?” Their foreheads were pressed together now, Rhea letting her fingers piston in and out of Liv quicker now. She could tell by the deep breaths and looks that Liv was giving that she was close, so close.
Then Rhea retracted her fingers completely. She was still in control.
Liv whimpered at the loss but was out of touch on how she should be feeling. Excited? Turned on? Scared? Weak? Lively? All of the above? Her and Rhea were bitter rivals and had a past to their past and everything. Even still, they were always connected and their paths would always cross back to one another. Maybe right now they were at war with each other, for sure. Maybe it wasn’t so bad after all to wave a white flag every once and again.
“Open.”
Rhea brought her soaked fingers up to Liv’s mouth and inserted the index in first, watching as the blonde tasted herself without giving a second thought. She had Liv right at the palm of her hand. As she pulled her finger back Rhea brought her middle finger to own mouth and slowly licked the remnants of Liv off, making sure the blonde was watching intently as she hummed at her taste.
By now, Judgement Day and the LWO had been broken up by backstage officials which left Liv and Rhea all by themselves except Liv wasn’t aware of this, leaving Rhea with the advantage still that they had to stay quiet. Rhea closed the distance between them, her hand diving back into Liv’s shorts as a teasing gesture. As their breaths hit each other, Liv showed temptation and rolled her hips against Rhea’s hand which caused the Aussie woman to chuckle silently.
“I bet it aches, huh? You want me to finish? Beg for it.”
An audible moan escaped Liv’s lips as she thrust her hips again and at this point she didn’t care who heard her. She was too caught up in the adrenaline of it all to even think about the group that she stole away from Rhea. Right now, Rhea had her right where she wanted her.
“Pleas don’t stop, Rhea. I..I want you to make me cum.” Liv whispered out in a husked tone that left a smirk upon her lips when Rhea pushed back inside of her again, fucking Liv against the wall like her life depended on it. Thirty seconds later Liv was a goner and matched her thrusts to Rhea’s as she came on her fingers. Without thinking, Liv captured Rhea’s lips for a desperate kiss to silence as much of her orgasm as she could. The kiss broke off and Rhea slowly helped Liv ride her high out for as long as possible.
“Good fucking girl.” Rhea whispered into Liv’s ear as she slowly retracted her fingers once again. The Aussie took a moment to admire the sight before her: Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan left a wet moaning mess because of her. There was nothing sexier in her eyes. “See ya around, champ.”
Rhea chuckled and exited back to her locker room while Liv slid down the wall until she was sitting on the floor. She caught her breath and her senses finally were coming back to her, smirking to herself and resting her head against the wall, having been fulfilled for the first time in a long time thanks to none other than Rhea Ripley.

Can I request Liv x Rhea or Liv x Rhea x Dom? Maybe something with angst, hurt (mentally and physically), and love that mostly focuses on Liv?
Something like Liv getting stalked backstage and put in danger before she’s saved by Rhea and Dominik pls?
Watch Me.. 👁️‍🗨️
Rhea x Dom x Liv
Liv Morgan took a deep breath as she stepped into the backstage corridor of the arena. Monday Night Raw had ended nearly an hour ago, leaving behind the echoes of roaring crowds and the faint sounds of industrial fans. Most of the superstars had already headed to the hotel or out for late-night meals, but Liv lingered—determined to perfect a new sequence she planned to debut in her next match.
She had always been one of the last to leave, chasing that extra edge, that extra time to train. But tonight, something in the air felt wrong. A subtle chill skittered across her skin. She shrugged off the uneasy feeling, blaming it on post-show adrenaline and the shadows.
Before she could begin her solo practice, Liv slipped into the locker room to grab her tape and a bottle of water. She found her gym bag exactly where she’d left it… except a small, folded piece of paper peeked out from under the zipper. Frowning, she picked it up.
You asked me to watch you? So I’m watching you…
The words, scribbled in a clumsy, jagged script, made her heart hammer. Jokes among the roster weren’t unusual, but this felt different—unsettling, almost obsessive. She tried to summon a laugh at the possibility of a prank. Yet the tingle at the nape of her neck warned her it was no joke.
She thought of Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio—her lovers and anchors. Rhea and Dom would want her to call or text the moment something felt off. But she didn’t want to bother them; they were still busy with media obligations.
“Calm down,” she told herself, stashing the note in her bag. “It’s probably some weird fan.”
Liv stepped out into the hallway, the overhead fluorescent lights flickering ominously. She could still hear staff cleaning up outside near the stage area, but the corridor felt unnaturally quiet. An image brushed at the corner of her vision—a silhouette, gone in an instant.
Her breath caught. Did I see… someone? Heart thudding, she peered down the hallway. Empty. The faint murmur of distant conversation barely reached her ears. Shaking off the anxiety, she set her bag down in the ring area to begin her practice.
But the feeling of being watched never left.
After twenty minutes of half-hearted drills—her concentration shot—Liv decided it was time to leave. She grabbed her bag, heading for the backstage exit that led to the wrestlers’ parking lot. Her footsteps echoed across the concrete floor. Her eyes darted to each darkened corner, every exit ramp, her senses on high alert.
Then she heard it: footsteps, a fraction of a second behind her own. She slowed her pace; they slowed too. She sped up; so did they.
Panic bloomed in her chest.
A sudden shot of movement to her left made her whip around. Through a half-open doorway, she saw a tall figure wearing a hoodie, face hidden in the gloom.
She froze, adrenaline surging.
She forced out a trembling command, voice cracking, “Stay back.”
The figure responded with silence, stepping closer. With each step, Liv retreated until her back pressed against an unused backstage crate. Her mind raced—would anyone hear her if she screamed?
A voice, firm and furious, cut through the tension:
“Hey! Back the fuck off off!”
Liv almost sobbed with relief at the unmistakable sound of Mami emerging from around the corner, Rhea advanced like a storm, her eyes blazing. Dominik jogged close behind, scanning the scene, fists already clenched.
The hooded figure startled at their arrival, pivoting to run. For a split second, Rhea looked ready to give chase—her protective rage palpable—but Dom snagged her arm.
“Liv first,” he insisted, voice tight with concern.
Rhea hesitated, then rushed to Liv’s side. Dom kept his gaze on the fleeing silhouette, making sure it disappeared fully into the labyrinth of corridors before turning back. Liv clutched Rhea’s forearm, trying to steady her breathing.
“You okay?” Rhea asked softly, worry etched into her features.
Liv swallowed hard, nodding shakily. “Y-yeah… thanks to you. I don’t know what—he had a note in my bag—”
Dom joined them, expression dark. “What note?”
Liv fumbled in her bag, pulling out the slip of paper. He read it, jaw tightening. “This is messed up, Liv. You should’ve called us.”
She bristled, tears pricking at her eyes. “I didn’t… I thought it was nothing.”
Rhea slipped an arm around Liv’s shoulders, her anger morphing into empathy. “We’ll figure this out. C’mon, let’s get out of here.”
They guided Liv to the main locker room, making sure no other threats lurked around. Once inside, the bright lights and the sounds of the air conditioning felt like a bizarre comfort. A few security guards hovered, alerted by Rhea and Dom’s frantic search.
As the backstage staff started a sweep of the building, Rhea settled beside Liv on a bench, pulling her in for a protective hug. Dom paced in front of them, phone in hand, possibly texting the rest of Judgment Day or calling management.
Rhea glanced at the note again, her lips pressing into a grim line. “This is serious. We’re not leaving you alone.”
Liv managed a wan smile, her adrenaline still high. “Thank you. Both of you.”
Dom knelt in front of her, eyes warm with concern. “Let’s go to the hotel.”
Liv exhaled, tension easing slightly. “That… that would be great.”
A half hour later, after giving statements to security, the trio finally stepped into the late-night air, each glance over their shoulder a reminder that the threat wasn’t fully gone. They hurried to their Uber with purposeful strides.
In the backseat, Liv sat sandwiched between Dom and Rhea, neither of them willing to let her out of arm’s reach. She felt the gravity of fear pressing against her chest but also the warmth of their devotion. She leaned her head on Rhea’s shoulder, letting out a shaky breath.
Rhea pressed a comforting kiss to Liv’s temple. “I’m so sorry you went through that alone.”
Liv closed her eyes, tears threatening again. “I didn’t want to bother anyone. But… I should’ve told you.”
Dom placed a gentle hand on her knee, voice tender. “We’re here now. Whoever that creep is, we won’t let them near you again.”
At the hotel, Dom insisted on walking ahead to check the hallway, while Rhea firmly held onto Liv’s hand. The wariness in the air lingered, but the presence of her lovers made each step feel safer.
Once inside their shared room, they locked the door and pushed one of the plush chairs in front of it, just for good measure. Liv let out a half-laugh, half-sob at the sight. Rhea pulled her into a tight embrace, and Dom wrapped his arms around them both, forming a protective circle.
“Thank you,” Liv whispered, her voice muffled against Rhea’s shoulder. “I…I love you guys.”
Rhea’s eyes glistened softly. “We love you, too.”
Dom gently brushed a tear from Liv’s cheek. “We’ll figure out who this psycho is. But tonight, all you gotta do is rest.”
And in that small, crowded hotel room, with the door barricaded and the duo beside her, Liv felt a sense of peace creeping in despite the terror still clinging to the edges of her mind. The attacker’s shadow had threatened her, but it was no match for the light of loyalty and love that Rhea and Dom brought to her side.
In the quiet that followed, with Dom’s arm draped over her and Rhea stroking her hair, Liv let her eyes flutter shut. She knew the nightmares might come—but she wouldn’t face them alone.

Needy
CW: light smut
Soft lips stirred Rhea awake, seeking the warmth of her neck. Liv plastered her with feverish little bites, hardly anything that would bruise come tomorrow afternoon. A devilish glint greeted her as Liv felt her return to the land of the living.
"Such a needy girl."
The first few birds chirped along the lazy morning, light stringing in through the sheer curtains painting Liv in hues of marigold and morning glory. Her blonde hair glowed in the low light, a halo over her divine skin. In the early hours, when the city was at its most quiet, nothing could be louder than Liv's inherent beauty before her.
In a few hours, they'd have to pretend they didn't spend the night together. But in the current moment, Rhea could allow herself to indulge in what Liv had to offer.
Liv's tantalising lips moved lower, dancing over Rhea's skin towards their own nirvana.
"Don't tell me you don't want it." Liv kissed the inner side of Rhea's thigh, a kiss for every single mark she left the night before. Rhea was sweet like honey and addicting like the most expensive wine. One sip, and you'd be lost in the taste.
"Last night wasn't enough?"
"Never."
Between the sheets, Liv could be honest. Of wanting more than the cold stares she was met with in the ring. More than anything, she wanted to be close. And to indulge in the worst decision she could ever make, to let herself be swallowed up by Rhea and be destroyed by her hand. All willingly, like a fool stuck in love with a fairytale. Her body craved the danger, sighed after it, seeking out the pain of mutual destruction.
As Rhea took, Liv wanted to take. Of being the one that made the other crave more. Oh so much more.
Liv's tongue sought out her heat, a slow lick sending a familiar tingle through Rhea's body. She's as sweet as ever, tangy with a slight hint of last night's sweat. A taste that's unmistakably Rhea. Intrusive and addictive. Claws holding Rhea down, Liv devoured her cunt with a patience she wasn't owed.
Even sweeter were the sounds Rhea muffled, biting down on her own hand. Self control was a hard thing for her to give up, and Liv knew Rhea was struggling not to moan her name. The first time she heard it was a mistake, one that cost Liv many restless nights with her hand between her own legs, dreaming of hearing it again.
And like Rhea, Liv didn't want to lose.
For as much self restraint Rhea had, Liv had experience undoing all that. She didn't need words, only a well placed tongue around her clit and a couple fingers.
Liv could hear the muffled curses threatening to break free, the shudder every time her tongue moved inside Rhea's cunt and the wetness that stained her thighs. She drank it all up, preferring to let her body speak for her.
Liv's eyes found Rhea's, glinting with extacy and mischief. Really, Rhea should have given up right then and there. This was a match she was fated to lose.
Liv's lithe fingers moved inside of Rhea, curling just the way she knew would drive her insane. Liv didn't care if anyone else heard them. She needed Rhea to scream her lungs raw.
Rhea's clit was as sensitive as ever, teetering on it being painful to have it sucked and bitten. No matter how much restraint Rhea thought she had, she broke.
"Oh my fucking–." Rhea gripped the sheets. She was barely audible.
Not good enough. Liv needed her to scream. Liv flicked her tongue, sucking harder on where Rhea was the most sensitive. She added another finger, and Rhea could take it. Rhea never bothered to ask Liv if she wanted or could take more. There was no reason why she couldn't extend the same favour towards her. Three fingers deep, Liv fucked her in slow strokes.
It took everything in Rhea not to grab Liv by the hair to fuck her mouth, she had to lie there to take what was offered. Payback could come later.
Liv tightened Rhea like a string, pulling and pulling until she was arching her back, threatening to break at the tension. Unable to take more, Liv yanks her further. It's impossibly tight, light flashing as Rhea burned from the inside.
As much fun as it would have been to edge her all day, Liv wasn't as cruel. This wasn't the time for that.
A string of cursewords followed, incomprehensible to anyone that didn't know Rhea like Liv did. Broken, louder, and louder, Rhea came undone at her hand. Liv felt Rhea tighten around her fingers, hips rutting against her mouth as Rhea came.
Satisfied with her work, Liv slipped out, a lazy smile on her face. She admired Rhea's laboured breathing as she came down, there was something beautiful about having Rhea at her mercy. It didn't happen often, so one had to take in the sight whenever it was possible.

Liv looked between Rhea and Damian as she stood in the entryway, obvious hesitation in her gaze. Damian looked at Rhea for a moment and despite her best judgement, she gave a little nod of her head and Damian stepped aside, letting Liv into the room. “I’ll be back, I’m going to grab a coffee.”
As he left, the door shut behind him and suddenly Rhea and Liv found themselves alone, the air thick with words left unspoken. Neither seemed to want to be the first to speak, or maybe it was just that neither knew what to say.
Eventually, Rhea forced herself to meet Liv’s gaze, pain immediately filling her chest. Liv’s eyes were red and puffy and Rhea knew immediately that she’d been crying. She’d seen Liv angry before, seen her upset, but something about this felt different. It felt more raw, more fragile, and it made Rhea’s stomach churn with a guilt so thick it felt suffocating.
“Why?”
Liv was the first to break the silence, finally taking her first steps toward the bed until she stood beside Rhea. “Why would you do this, Rhea?”
Rhea’s throat tightened and she quickly averted her gaze, trying to look at anything other than Liv. She’d felt like she just made so much progress in opening herself up with Damian, but she didn’t know whether she could bring herself to do it with Liv. She wished that she had an easy answer, or at least something that she knew wouldn’t make Liv hate her more than she already did.
But Liv did deserve the truth.
“I couldn’t handle it anymore, Liv,” Rhea admitted, her voice hoarse. “Everything - the betrayal, what I did to you, what I allowed to happen to me. It was too much. I felt like I was rotting from the inside out.”
Liv bit her bottom lip and Rhea could tell that she’d gone into thinking mode - it was always a telltale sign. “You didn’t have to go through it alone, Rhea. You could’ve come to me.”
A bitter laugh escaped Rhea’s lips. “Could I?” she asked, finally looking back at Liv. “After everything I did? After I turned on you, broke you, and made you feel like we were nothing? How could I ever come to you after that?”
Liv’s breath hitched and Rhea could tell that she was fighting back tears. “You did hurt me, that’s true” she admitted, her voice shaking slightly. “But I still-” she cut herself off, shaking her head as though unwilling to say the words she wanted to say. “I just don’t understand it, Rhea. Was it all a lie? Were…were we a lie?”
Rhea’s heart clenched painfully in her chest. “No, Liv,” she said firmly. “You were honestly the only real thing I had. The only thing that ever made sense.”
“Then why?” Liv pressed, looking at Rhea with eyes that were desperate for answers. “Why did you throw it all away?”
Rhea exhaled shakily, her hands clenched into fists as she grew closer to what she knew was a make or break it revelation. This was where she finally got all the things off her chest that she’d been too afraid, or ashamed, to admit. If she could do it with Damian and he could show her such kindness, she hoped desperately that Liv could do the same.
“It was Edge. He got inside my head, Liv. He knew exactly what to say, what buttons to push. He made me believe that I had to let go before you hurt me and that I needed him to succeed. Then he made me prove my loyalty…made me prove myself to be worth anything.”
A frown crossed Liv’s lips as confusion flickered across her face. “What do you mean, Rhea?”
Rhea clenched her fists together one more time, trying desperately to hold herself together. But the dam that kept her emotions together was starting to crack again, just like they had with Damian.
“He raped me, Liv.”
Liv’s breath caught, her eyes widening in surprise at the revelation that Rhea made.
A shaky breath escaped from Rhea, but now that she’d revealed what had happened to Liv, she couldn’t find it in her to stop. “He made me feel like I owed him. Like I had to prove my loyalty in ways that I never wanted…and I let him.” Her voice cracked, but she continued anyway. “I told myself that it never happened. That I was strong enough to handle the burden of everything on my own, but I wasn't’...and when I looked at you, and I thought about what we had..” This time Rhea choked back a sob, barely able to hold it together. “I felt ruined, Liv. I felt like no matter what, you’d never want me anymore. Hell, like I wasn’t even really me anymore.”
Liv’s face crumpled, a hand moving to cover her mouth as she looked at Rhea in absolute horror as she spoke her feelings. Her eyes filled with fresh tears, pain for her former lover aching in her chest. “Rhea..”
Rhea let out a choked laugh, devoid of any humor. “So, I guess that’s your answer to why I did it. Why I pushed you away even though it broke everything inside of me to do so. I thought that maybe, just maybe if I pushed you away then it wouldn’t hurt as bad when you realized I wasn’t worth loving anymore.”
There was a heavy silence that followed, tears now openly flowing down Liv’s face. Rhea couldn’t bear to look at her, though. She couldn’t bear to see the pity, the sorrow, and the disgust that she was sure would follow.
But then, Liv did something that Rhea didn’t expect. She’d been standing by her bedside the entire time they spoke, but now she reached out, taking one of Rhea’s hands that had been clutching so desperately at the blanket and held it in her own.
Rhea’s body stiffened, watching as Liv’s smaller fingers curled around hers, warm and grounding. “You listen to me, Rhea,” Liv said, her voice thick with emotion. “What he did to you? It doesn’t change who you are. It doesn’t make you ruined, and it sure as hell doesn’t make you unloveable.”
Rhea’s eyes flickered to her, full of disbelief.
“I mean it, Rhea,” she whispered, giving Rhea’s hand a gentle squeeze. “You are worth loving. And I never stopped.”
Rhea felt her heart stutter at Liv’s confession, her eyes glossing over with tears as she stared at Liv. “How can you still-even after everything?”
Liv let out a choked laugh, a smile curling at the edge of her mouth. “Because I know you, Rhea. I know the real you. I don’t care how much Edge tried to break you or make you feel like less of a person than who you are. You’re still in there, and I’m not going to let him win. He almost took you from me once..I’m never going to let it happen again.”
Tears spilled over Rhea’s cheek, but this time she didn’t try to fight them. Hell, she probably couldn’t even if she tried. “I’m so fucking sorry, Liv. For everything. For hurting you, for not being strong enough, for trying to -”
Liv shook her head and without hesitation leaned in, pressing her lips against Rhea’s to interrupt the negative train of thought. She didn’t want to hear it, nor did she need to anymore. She just needed to believe in Rhea.
The kiss was soft and slow, filled with all the words left unspoken between them, the regrets, the broken promises. Rhea let herself melt into it, trying to feel something other than pain and guilt. Liv tasted just like she remembered, so sweet. It made the warmth flood through her body, filling every crevice that had been left empty over the past few weeks.
When they finally broke the kiss, Liv cupped Rhea’s face gently, their foreheads resting against each other’s. “You don’t have to fight this alone anymore, Rhea. You have me now, and Damian. And I promise you, we’re not going anywhere.”
Rhea swallowed hard, nodding her head slowly. “I promise you, Liv. I’m never letting anything - or anyone - get between us again.”
Liv smiled through her tears. “Good. Because I don’t want anyone else. Only you.”
Rhea opened her mouth to reply, but a cough from the doorway alerted her that Damian had returned from his drink haul. They both looked toward where he stood in the doorway, shaking his head. “About time you two made up. Now, how about we get to plotting on how we’re going to take down that bastard?”
Liv nodded her head enthusiastically at this, both her and Damian keen on getting revenge over what had happened to Rhea. They both loved her so much and watching the two of them talk made Rhea’s heart soar.
She really wasn’t alone after all.
