Ep4 Dear Hyeri short review
Tumblr media
My head and my heart hurt after watching coz I can't choose can't I?
Both Joo Yeon and hyun oh nailed it
But obviously is gonna be ju eun ho and not hye ri
But I don't want or do I???
Why writernim ? Why cause trouble in my broken heart??
Watching spoiler I know I'm gonna have hard time watching today ep ..hard time to choose which couple to root for😅
On Joo Yeon part hye ri found happiness
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On Hyun oh part eun ho also found comfort
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But I think I more on Joo Yeon coz he's happy and respect her.
Tumblr media
But hyun oh from last ep really did not score but in today ep where he took care of her even kiss her ..was it necessary the kiss? I don't know ..for the first time I'm questioning a kiss.maybe for longing purpose since they broke up for 4 years
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So confused on the purpose of the kiss
Seriously I don't know what to say..I just gonna recollect and update my review back if I can find the middle ground of it.
Tumblr media
Update:
Rewatching ep4 again to understand the kiss ..I think I just wait for ep5 maybe there will be an explanation more less what would be eun ho reaction regarding the kiss afterwards..I hope so..or not remain a longing kiss .
Tumblr media
8 more ep to go I am so curious what writernim will pull off ..my guess maybe hyun oh also have sickness too and he hiding from eun ho..therefore the breakup.
I hope ep5 bring clarity🙏🏻 for me in choosing the right couple

What were they doing for eight years? This situation goes beyond just a lack of communication, putting Hyun-oh circumstances with the old ladies aside. Eun-ho and Hyun-oh were dating for about two years when her sister disappeared. Her disappearance was widely reported in the news, with search teams and a significant police presence. I understand that Korean laws prioritize privacy, but a young woman was missing, and her face must have been plastered everywhere.
The fact that she never confides in him, attempt to seek comfort or assistance (and telling him while he was drunk has no effect - except that nosy reporter being all up in her business) or that he didn’t notice any changes in her is baffling. Her grandmother also passed away some time after that, yet still, nothing. If the scene in episode 5, where he abruptly dropped her without any explanation, is indicative of their dynamic, it raises even more questions. Did he do this without reason constantly throughout their relationship , and why did she never question it? Why did he never elaborate? Or hell, if he or she did.. can this show please show us this.
Were they merely maintaining a facade of normalcy? Playing at the happy couple? The show has yet to demonstrate any reason for these characters, even after therapy, to be together. Or why they were even together in the first place. Yes, I know they "loved each other" but a relationship is more than just attraction. They never discuss their families or past experiences at all during those eight years? Their relationship feels very superficial. Very neither here nor there.
This isn’t some post to show how she would be better with Joo-yeon or anything like that since he has a connection with Hyeri, not Eun-ho, and the show has yet to establish anything between them as of yet. They have issues to be resolved individually as well. I just need some clarification - I need more than cutesy moments between them - I just want to understand someone please explain. We are all just as confused, right!? RIGHT!?

Listen I am on my rewatch of The Glory and aside from being madly in love with both the romantic and unhinged nature of Joo Yeo Jeong, The absolute disparity between the good and bad parents in this show is killing me.
Dong-Eun’s mom? Absolute piece of trash with no class.
Yeon-Jin’s mom? Karen who thinks money and power can buy you anything.
Yeo-Jeong’s mom? Absolutely 100% supportive, but not stupid and committed to doing the right thing.
Kang Hyeon-Nam? The baddest bitch alive, willing to do anything to save her daughter even if it means endangering herself.
And then you have the disparity between Jae Jun and Do-Hyeong, who both cared about Ye-Sol. Jae Jun only cared about her when it was convenient for him and wanted her not because he truly loved her but because he wanted to possess her. Meanwhile, you have Do-Hyeong who is constantly looking out for Ye-Sol’s best interests even though he isn’t biologically related to her.
NOT ONLY THAT, but you also have Yeo-Jeong’s Dad, who was murdered by a patient while doing what he thought was right by saving him, unintentionally starting his son on the path to revenge.
And like yeah The Glory’s main focus is revenge but it’s also an exquisite commentary on how we pass down, inherit, come to terms with, and outright prevent generational trauma from our parents. It also shows how we can choose to do better or worse than they did based on the relationships we create or take for granted.
Idk man, as a generational trauma cycle breaker myself and mom of an (adopted adult) daughter that also experienced so much of that, this show gets to me on a parenting level in a way I can’t even begin to describe.
(Also Do-Yeong’s relationship with Ye-Sol makes me cry in the best way 🥹)

MY DEMON
GENRES: Supernatural, Romance
SUMMARY: A cold-hearted Demon remembers what it’s like to be human after falling in love with the one who stole his powers.
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Supportive PR employees, diabolical chaebols, powerful skinship, sham marriages, best friend butlers, sword dancing, Joseon flashbacks, tattoos, cropped suit jackets, cakes, clocks, disguised deities, full moon transformations, and the joy of just letting go and listening to your heart.
HOT TAKE: I didn't really love the start of this show, but its themes of loss and love really pulled on my heartstrings throughout. I didn't really love the ending either, but hey, its a love story and you get what you get. I will say though, Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung win the award for 'Couple with the Smoothest Skin I've Ever Seen in a Kdrama.'

Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a good and happy ending.
Tumblr media
I will said writernim redeemed hyunoh back with him being scared and eun ho to comfort her wins back my heart for a bit
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But still. ( I would prefer ju Yeon)
Tumblr media
Coz it was meant to be them( eun ho and hyun oh) together in the ending. No matter who I like
Tumblr media
I was angry when writernim just not letting go Joo Yeon part but I glad she gave a good ending for Joo Yeon..so I said thank you writernim
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nonetheless..
Thank you writernim, directornim ,all actor and actress and all that involved in making dear hyeri a unique kind of drama I ever experienced.
Good luck to anyone watching in the future.
Lastly good bye hyeri
Tumblr media
Ratings: 4♥️/5💛
Even thought the writing was bad for the character but the writer managed to end it in good terms.

Having completed w- two worlds, I'm so emotional about God.
Imagine you are Kang Cheol, and in your last dying breath you reach your hand out to god, to your creator, begging them to save you. Only to have that God reach out and fatally wound you, instead.
And then imagine, in your dying breath all you want to do is save yourself, your god has forsaken you, so you blindly reach out for something, anything, anything to help you stay alive only to have that God's own child come and be your saviour instead.
I'm having a religious experience

My Demon
Tumblr media
TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2024
My Demon (2023/24, South Korea)
Director: Kim Jang Han
Writer: Choi Ah Il
Mini-review:
Look, I'm not gonna lie. I started this drama for a very superficial reason: Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang are one of the most gorgeous couples I've ever seen. And tbh, that's one of the things that kept me watching until the end. The first half was pretty fun, thanks to their will-they-won't-they dynamic and some really funny supporting characters and recurring gags. Unfortunately, it began to drag around the middle part, and then it got more and more boring with each passing episode. By the time the final episode came out, I no longer cared about the plot, the characters or anything else (although the ending itself was quite nice). With all that in mind, I can't help but think My Demon would have worked much better as a movie.
